Akieen Cloud
It had been years since any one could claim to have seen a wolf. Maybe a large dog from time to time but ever since the earth had frozen over and begun anew wolves were said to be wiped out completely. Rumors said that deep in the mountains there were packs that survived but no one had ever seen them. Technology now is so limited, since the frozen times everything that we had was destroyed or is now unfit to work. Looking out the window now I wonder what would happen if there were more wolves in the world. Another Ice Age like before? Or would it be different? I would hate to see humanity go through that again but I have to say that personally I weep to know that I will never hear the sorrowful song of a wolf pack in this area. Or anywhere else for that matter...Being a scientist has its dull days, today is just another on top of the many I have had. Waiting for something to happen, but around here nothing ever- "Osataka! I think we found something!" The young man looked up from his day dreaming thoughts and looked at the young girl in the door way, her cheeks flushed and her shoulders rising and falling as she tried to catch her breath. "What is it?" "I think you should come take a look." He ran with her back to the excavation site outside and felt his chest constrict with what was before him. "Is it a woman?" "Yes sir, and she is alive." He looked even more astonished. The girl was young and fair. Her hair a deep blue her skin dark and tan. "Find out all you can about her. Everyone else get her inside and thaw the ice around her, we have to see if we can revive her." An older man walked up to him his fist closed around something. "What do you have there?" "It came with the block of ice she was in. It says 'The way to paradise is through the blue moon.'" "That makes no sense." "I know sir." He waved it off and looked at the girl still unconscious and laying on a stretcher. Her clothing didn't look like it could have kept her very warm. It looked thin and skin tight. What intrigued him the most was like her hair; her clothing was all deep blue, even her boots and gloves. She looked no older then him, early twenties, maybe younger. She was pretty, and looked so peaceful. A large stone around her neck caught her attention, it was shaped as a sliver of a moon, not barely big enough to see, he blinked as a small portion of it in the middle turned black and looked at the sky watching as a small black cloud passed over the moon above him, the moon in the sky being exactly the same size as the one around her neck. He shook his head and followed the team into the building where he kept an eye on her. Something gave him chills about finding this girl he was about to shut the door when another of his coworkers came running up to him. "Sir! We just found this." He handed the young man a dog collar, worn brownish black leather, a small metal plate was in the middle, a large design that if looked at uncarefully looked like a K but as he looked more carefully it was a fancy H. "Sir this was found close by it." He handed over a name tag that was torn and weathered but could still be made out. "Hub. Isn't that the name of the husband of the Flower Maiden's scientist?" The man nodded. "If that is true then we are on the ground of Paradise where the wolves last left this planet. This is basically holy ground. Get the supplies together; we leave as soon as we have broken camp." He nodded and went on to tell the others. The head scientist looked back at the moon and then at the name tag and collar in his hands. "Something is about to happen, in nearly 100 years. Something big is about to happen..." 50 miles south from where they were digging a young girl walked through the snow, her shoulders hunched over fighting the wind as she found a cave to shelter herself in. "Damn, I was a fool to think I could find in this storm." A loud roar from the back of the cave made her look up as a large Polar bear stood up looking down at her. "You survived the Freeze did you?" The bear looked at her and then settled back to its feet growling softly. "I see. Well you should be thankful you alone made it, even if you are the last of your kind. I can sympathize though, from the rumors I have heard, I'm the only one left." The bear nuzzled her gently and she nuzzled back. "I suppose I should be off. If I don't find that place before sun up I'll never make it to Paradise." She smiled and waved then took off running through the storm and snow again. "Take care!" A loud roar followed her. As she ran she looked at the ice below her feet looking at her true reflection. Her bright green eyes and ivory white fangs, healthy pink tongue that hung out of her mouth as she ran. Her blue/grey and white fur blending in to match her surrounding perfectly making her look like just a shadow that passed by. She took note on her human appearance and thought that she must make a funny sight to those that are camped and have seen her. She filtered through her memory as she often did when on a long journey. Her mind took her back to the freeze that almost killed the planet but then gave it new life. How she had survived that terrible moment in her life. Her mother burrowing under the ground for days on end till one day things moved so quickly that she never had time to evaluate what had happened. Only her, her brother and her mother had made it down to the lowest part of the burrow, her father had been frozen as he had entered. Almost weeks, maybe months had gone by before they came out, her brother had gotten sick while underground, her mother had contracted it and both died two minutes after reaching the surface. She continued on, something had been pulling her in this direction for years and she was so close now she could feel it in her bones. She looked up tot eh sky, the moon was starting to fill and she realized that this time it had a distinct color to it. It was Blue. She ran more till she found an empty excavation sight and felt the string pulling her pull her East. Someone had found what she was seeking and now to find it she had to follow what ever had taken it from her. She took a deep breath and lay down in the deep snow. She would start in the morning following the scent and her instincts. For now she needed rest. She can also have quie the temper if she gets angry enough. Overall though she finds herself thinking almost like the humans do which bugs her sometimes. She lived with them most of the time before the freeze. She is half wolf half dog, She sometimes wonders if she is good enough to make it anywhere but does not let it stop her. She is a very determined wolf. Bio: Born outside of The Lost City, her Parents did the best they could to keep her hidden from the wolf hunting troops. She watched as they hid her deep within the city and went off for food. She was unsure how long it was but when they returned she could tell something bad happend. Her father was extreamly wounded. Her mother gasping for breath. They left her the food and gave her orders not to come out of hidden and to stay safe. A little later she heard that the hunters got two wolves and she knew it was her parents. She felt strange, scared, and she could sense something bad coming so she left her hiding spot and was soon spotted by a young girl and her mother, both were going to find a good place to settle in and stay warm. She saw no choice and when the little girl pleaded with her mommy to keep the cute doggie she was allowed to go with them. She was part dog so the company was slightly comforting and she felt the need to protect the mother and child. The freeze came, Tala was the only one to survive. Having all ties in the city gone she left. She felt drawn to something after leaving and went with it. It brought her to an excavation camp. She stayed hidden and watched the humans as they worked, very careful not to be seen. They had found something and she felt herself drawn to it. She decided to continue to wait. Soon the people moved out camp and headed elsewhere, and she was following. Weapon: In Picture NOTE: The clothes are different colors in the human form picture.
