AnimeHeroX
:( Do you feel that sometimes after you finish a great anime series you would just wish it would never end. or at the very least go on for a few more episodes. do feel a sense of lost after a series is over say like Outlaw Star, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Girls Bravo or Gundam Wing. How would you feel? and how would you deal? :animecry:
chou kuro
I hate that feeling! It's just a very "nooooooooooo it's over" feeling. It can't be described, but any true anime lover knows what it is. I deal by writing fanfic to continue the story, and also drawing fan art. And if there is a manga that goes along with the anime, I read that. But with Fullmetal Alchemist, the one anime that truly killed me with it's ending and only 51 episodes (I've been spoiled by Naruto), the manga is so drastically different that it didn't help as much as I'd been hoping. Sangome
I've felt that way before, mainly with Elfen Lied and FMA, my two very favorite anime. However, I also look at it from a reasonable standpoint. If a series were to drabble on endlessly *coughInuyashacough*, it would grow horribly repetitive. So, while I would be saddened for awhile, I learn that all the best things come to an end, and if it were to keep going, it would get boring. TheResplendent
FMA to me was perfect. It began and ended without any lacking feelings (for those who saw the movie). I wouldn't mind seeing another series showing them as older, it won't be the same and i'm pretty attached to the 51 episodes and the movie, but i would watch it. I don't feel like it should have continued, It's best not to take the chance of ruining a good thing. I have a feeling i'm gonna be sad when Naruto ends, there is already so much in the past of where i'm up to in the series (manga wise) that makes me nostalgic. As for anime i've already seen everything of and wish it would have continued or have made me feel "lost". I'd have to say Samurai Champloo...the ending left so much to be desired, it was very lacking to me. Also Scryed...for the same reason. Especially since we don't really get to see an official definite winner between
Kazuma and Ryohou, eventhough theres a hint.
I would have liked to have seen more involving all the characters. bellpickle
I feel that way about 1 out of every 4 series I watch. What can I say, I get attached easily. :animeswea Most recently, I've been feeling really attached to Kaleido Star... which is why I haven't watched the last four or so episodes yet. I'll get around to it soon, but for now, I just don't want it to end.
AnimeHeroX
Did you ever feel like crying after the series ended?
bellpickle
Did you ever feel like crying after the series ended?
Well, not exactly, but I sometimes have this empty feeling in my chest, and I wander around my house in a zombie-like daze. It's been a while since I've felt that way though; the last time was probably when I finished watching Escaflowne about a year ago.
intothemyst
I get like that from time to time. FMA definitely. Another anime series that I got completely attached to was Gungrave. That anime said so much but left so many years left unknown. Only 26 episodes, and the ending was spectacular, heck the whole story was gripping. The way I deal with it, other than reading the manga. IS realizing, that half of what makes the show so awesome, is that it ends. One of the reasons FMA is as completely fantastic as it is. is because it tells one giant story and when that story is told, it stops. FMA wouldn't leave as much a lasting impression if it kept going and going. Gungrave, wouldn't be as good if it moved on beyond what the central story was. SO I cherish the episodes that we have, if I need a fix, I catch a fanfic orthe newest manga. I also, would like to say hey. I'm a relatively new Otaku. (Less than two years now.) Sangome
Did you ever feel like crying after the series ended?
Not really. I'm the same as bellpickle, I wander around like some emotionless zombie, and if anyone talks to me, I'm likely to lash out. xP Yes, I'm that sad. I got that way with FMA, even though I saw the movie.
chou kuro
Did you ever feel like crying after the series ended?
I feel like crying, I did with FMA because I loved it soo much! :animecry: And I've gotta see the movie cause that's the only way to deal, is getting more. And if there isn't more, that's when I write fanfic about whatever I feel I'm missing.
