PWNED
450 years That is how long, I have watched this worlds pitiful existence and waited. Observed as they fought in their pursuit of their ambitions. They squabble when a new symbol of power appears and lie, cheat and deceive to get it. Such a pathetic race only deserves to be eradicated off of their world completely. Thus I created my four Warlords, each gifted, or 'cursed' if you may, with powerful runes that grant everlasting life. They are my four warriors of darkness, my Angels of the Apocalypse. Death, Plague, War and Beast; My Warlords wrought of shadows arise..... And rain destruction upon their world. Late one night the Warlords came, All over the continent cities crumbled under the dark influence along with their hordes if demonic followers. The Resistance mounted by the combined armies just barely held back their opposition and even now falls back to the mighty stronghold on the eastern coast to mount a seemingly impossible defence. Thus a call went out around the land for heroes to enter within the conquered terrain and slay each of the four warlords in hopes to dispel their dark hordes before they consume the last bastions of hope. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thats what there is to it; Your characters can be anyone that have answered the call. Be it Knights, Vagabonds, Mercenaries, A Drunk from down the road. Just try and keep it intelligent. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Character Creation Name: Age: Gender: Class: Just choose any Fantasy character class. Nothing too extreme if you choose to create your own. Weapon(s): Fantasy stuff, alright. Magic: If your a magic using character than what type you use. Appearance: Picture or Detailed Description. Biography: Life before and after the Invasion and why you answered the call.
Imp
I tried to get this character into an RPG similar to this, but she was rejected for some odd reason... Hopefully she'll work here... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Maridra Age: 42 Gender: Female Class: Enchantress best describes it, though she does have some traits of some other classes... Weapons: Maridra isn't really a weapon person, but she does have some experience with and interest in magical weapons. She has two of her own: -First is a short sword with a crystal blue blade. The blade isn't very sharp, but its tip can fire a thin, laserlike beam of any element. The handle also contains an orb with a similar function to a crystal ball. -Second is a mirror no bigger than her palm. It can be used to deflect spells (not guns or other physical offenses), and it can be used as a form of mind control (though it requires that one gazes into the mirror) as well. Magic: Maridra is an animagus, meaning she can transform into an animal. Actually, she can become two: a raven and an ice dragon. She can't use her weapons that well in her animal forms (especially her raven form), and her magic is different in each form: --In her human form, Maridra is most skilled with her enchantment or "effect" spells. This means that they are not like attacks, as many spells used by mages are. They deal more with controlling something for the most part, though one common exception is the summoning of elemental energy that takes the form of creature-like things... The third type of "magic" she uses is similar to alchemy, without the circles and other fancy stuff. --Her magical abilities while in raven form are more mental in this form. Here she just has hypnotic abilities and a special sort of sight that allows her to see anything as long as it is in the present. Unfortunately, that's all she can do in this form. --Maridra sometimes has difficulty trnsforming into her dragon form, because she practically has to be at full health to do so. The magic she uses in this form pretty much conforms to the ice element, though she may show traces of the magic of her other forms to a small degree. Appearance: Human Form (most of the time she'll be in this form) Raven Form--Top right; dark purple in colour with some green feathers on the tips of her wings. Maridra is sometimes in this form, especially when not fighting. Dragon Form (she's rarely in this form) Biography: Maridra never figured out whether the man who raised her was her father or not. But what she did know was that the man was an alchemist named Parth, and that he was generally benevolent towards her--the two would very rarely argue. And plus, Parth was touched by Maridra's interest in his magical workings and studies. In fact, one day Maridra asked Parth to turn her into an animal. Parth said the idea was foolish, so Maridra had to try it herself. She almost succeeded, but fate led her to keep human qualities nevertheless. Still, from this came her ability to morph into two different animals. When Maridra was a bit older, she got the desire to follow in Parth's footsteps, but without Parth's guidance. She wanted to go away to a place where she could stay undisturbed and at ease. Parth, however, was uneasy about this--he had always loved taking care of Maridra because before her, he was suffering from miserable loneliness. He also feared that if Maridra left, she would experience that same feeling that he once did. Maridra didn't want to leave him in misery, so before leaving she prayed for his well-being, acknowledging that they could still remain together in spirit, and reassuring him that she would never meet a lonely fate. Still, she had to sneak out at night to leave his company. Maridra sealed her own fate. Years after she became content with her new life, with her own magical studies and her opportunities for peace, she too began to suffer from loneliness. She had grown up to be more like Parth than she thought, for Parth had started feeling lonely the exact same way. Plus, she got tired of all things being the same--the same dwelling, the same surroundings of mountain and forest day after day, and no one to share it with... Yet she did have a method of curing this misery that Parth could never take on easily: travel. It just so happened that the two animals she could morph into could fly, so fly she did to more civilized areas. Soon after entering the civilized world, Maridra was flung into action and surprise, for she heard news of a war against four evil lords called the Warlords. The Warlords had vast armies of demonic creatures at their sides, and there was unrest everywhere. Cries for help and peace were everywhere as well. All of a sudden the peace she had been living with was disrupted, but at least it cured her problem of boredom. She kept wishing she could somehow help stop the war, and she once even got a vision of somehow being able to determine the fate of the world. She kept wondering which one of the two sides would win the war--even though she seemed to be on the good side of things, she felt pretty neutral towards everything, as "everyone has a bit of good and evil in them". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OOC: Hope she didn't seem too, um... powerful... GuyYouMetOnline
This sounds like it could be interesting. Name: Kalria Selkes Age: 26 Gender: Female Class: Elementalist Weapons: Kalria weilds a pair of bladed staffs. Magic: Kalria is an Elementalist. Specifically, she is a 'Dual Elementalist', one who has powers of two diferent elements. Dual Elementalists are uncommon, but hardly unheard of. However, Kalria is different from most Dual Elementalists. First, most Dual Elementalists are not as strong in either of their elements as a standart Elementalist. Kalria, however, is just as strong, if not stronger, in both of her elements. But although this is unusual, it's hardly unique. What makes Kalria unique is the fact that her two elements are fire and water. She is the first known Dual Elementalist to have powers of two opposing elements. There's a possibility that her stronger-than-usual powers are related to this unprecedented combination of elements. Also, this combination is almost certainly related to the... unpredictability of her powers. Kalria's powers are not fully stable. The opposing nature of her two elements prevents a seamless combination of their powers within one individual. Because of this, Kalria's powers are in a state of flux. At one moment it may be dificult for her to use her water-based powers, and at another she may have trouble using her fire-based abilities. Sometimes she's unable to draw on enough energy to use specific abilities, such as the creation of fire or water. The actual abilities Kalria has are pretty standard. She is able to manipulate and, to an extent, create fire and water in any form. Her fire powers allow her to sense heat, and she has a greater resistance to temperature extremes. Her water powers allow her to sense water in any form, as well as allow her to stay underwater longer than most people can (not indefinitely, though. She can stay under for a lot longer than most people, but she can't actually breath underwater). Due to the instability of her powers, Kalria is not always able to use certain abilities. However, the conflicting nature of her powers does have a positive side. Sometimes, her powers will enter into a complimentary state, rather than an oppositional one. When this happens, Kalria's abilities are boosted far beyond their normal limits. And when she's in this state, people notice something... different about her. Nobody can articulate just what this difference is, bun almost everyone notices it. However, this state occurs randomly; it's not something Kalria can control. Also, the state usually lasts for only a short period of time. Because of the somewhat unpredictable nature of Kalria's powers, she doesn't rely completely on them like some magic-users do. She is very skilled with her bladed staffs, and she is always sure to maintain her skill. Her weapons are the one thing that Kalria knows she will always have avalible. Appearance: Kalria stands well over six feet tall. She's often described as 'good-looking' or 'pretty', but only rarely is she described as 'beautiful'. She's in superb physical shape, and she works hard to keep herself that way. Looking at her, one can tell that messing with her would probably be a very bad idea. Biography: Kalria's childhood can be described in one word: ordinary. It was as she became older that she discovered her abilities and her unique combination of elemental abilities was revealed. She was trained to use her powers by a woman named Trea. Trea never did understand Kalria's... uniqueness, but she was quick to accept it. It was Trea who first told Kalria that it would be unwise to rely on her powers, as they were somewhat unpredictable. In addition to the lessons on the usage of her powers, Kalria began learning the art of weapon combat. Before long, she selected the bladed staff as her weapon of choice. Once she'd become skilled with one bladed staff, she began learning to fight with a pair. Before long, she became a force to be reckoned with. As an adult, Kalria found herself with only one marketable skill: fighting. She considered the path of a gladiator, but instead became a mercenary. She quickly earned herself quite a reputation. She wasn't the best at stealth, but she could fight. She'd return successful from jobs other mercenaries had failed to complete. Kalria had no desire to join anyone's army. She wanted no part in wars. However, she became a participant in one when her parents were killed by soldiers of the Warlords. When the call for skilled warriors went out, Kalria did not hesitate to answer it. Well, there's my character. PWNED, please tell me if I need to change anything.
