RPG [SPAR] Sakura vs Keyblade Wielder [M-VL]

Sora was jogging leisurely along the beach, his breathing was going in and out shortly as he legs propelled himself along the sand, sinking slightly with each step, adding resistance. He released a large breath and flopped onto his beach towel. Sora looked at the pure white sand and the clear blue ocean that made Destiny Islands so inviting, finally he couldn't resist after the run, he quickly unbuttoned his white shirt and kicked off his socks and shoes, running into the refreshing, cool spray like a child, diving not so gracefully beneath the surface, emerging moments later, his spikes were limp from the water. He swam for a bit before starting to head back to shore. Sora grinned as he saw Riku standing at the beach and quickly ran in to meet him, drying himself with the towel.

[B]"Hey Riku."[/B] he smiled, shrugging on his shirt and redoing the buttons.

[B]"Sora. Lounging about as usual?"[/B] he smirked, putting on his pair of sunglasses.

[B]"Aww come on! It's a weekend!"[/B]

Riku laid out a towel and the two just sat and talked as Sora dried off. He started to draw in the sand with his finger in boredom, stifling a yawn with his other hand.

[B]"Riku~, I'm boooooored."[/B] he whined, grasping handfuls of sand only to have the grains trickle through the gaps in his fingers.

Riku dipped his shades and shot him a glance.

[B]"What do you want me to do about it?"[/B]

[B]"Make me unbored!"[/B] he exclaimed as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

[B]"How exactly am I supposed to make you unbored?"[/B] he rolled his eyes, elegantly pulling the sunglasses from his eyes, folding them.

[B]"Well I don't know, think of something."[/B] Sora pouted.

[B]"Fine!"[/B] Riku stood and tapped the sunglasses against his chin in thought. [B]"How about a spar?"[/B]

[B]"It'll do!"[/B] Sora jumped to his feet in excitement.

Riku smiled, it'd been a while since they'd had a casual spar.

Sora and Riku stood opposite each other, a few metres apart. They locked gazes and nodded, their keyblades magically appearing in their hands in showers of sparkles. The Ultima Weapon landed in Sora's right hand in gold glitter, along with the Oblivion in her left, while the Way to Dawn and the Soul Eater appeared in Riku's hands with silver sparkles.

[B]"All over the Islands?"[/B] Sora asked.

[B]"Yep, as usual. No civilians involved."[/B]

[B]"Of course."[/B] Sora grinned.

[B]"You're not gonna beat me Sora, like how you couldn't beat me when we were younger."[/B]

[B]"That was then, and this is now. I've gotten a lot stronger since travelling."[/B]

They sensed when each other were ready, and as the current waves hit the shore, the two teens raced forward toward each other, keyblades brandished, clashing brightly.

[B]OOC:[/B] That's the introduction, I'll leave the beginning of the real battle to you KW. Sorry it isn't that great but I'm a bit tired ^^; Hope this will be a good spar.

Riku smirked and chuckled a bit, quite anxious to see how stong Sora had become after their long journey. Even though they both fought many enemies and bosses, physical strength wasn't the only thing that grew stronger.... their hearts had also matured, making them the best warriors here on the islands. This was a test of strength... a test of heart and to see how strong their friendship had become after being away from each other for so long...

After his Keyblade's appeared between his strong yet sweaty palms, he lifted his right hand towards his dark- blue sunglasses, shifting them down towards his bright green eyes, shading them from the hot inferno rays... signaling the start of the battle. He then lifted Soul Eater over his head and pointed Way To Dawn straight at Sora, smiling kindly yet strongly to let his friend know that he wasn't going to go easy on him. On the other side, Sora stood ready with the Ultima Weapon and Oblivion in position, standing in his own fighting stance which he had learned from many Heartless battles.

Sora smiled at Riku and gave him a thumbs up. [B]"Riku... even though you were better than me before, don't mistake me for the little boy I once was."[/B]

Hearing this, Riku stood normally, letting his Keyblade's dangle by his sides. He then laughed a little and put his hands on his hips. [B]"Good grief, Sora. You act as if I'm retarded or something,"[/B] he said, still laughing, [B]"It's not like I stopped fighting ever since we left here.... just watch out because I've got a few tricks up my sleeve...."[/B] Suddenly, Riku vanished into thin air... Sora not knowing where he had gone.

The brown spikey haired boy grimaced and looked around, remembering this move from when they fought before in Hallow Bastion. [B]"Damn you, Riku!!"[/B] he finally shouted, his face pouted like that of a little kid, [B]"...that just isn't fair, you jerk!"[/B]

[B]"So... I see you haven't changed very much in attitude, huh?"[/B]

Sora gasped loudly, turning around to see a flash of silver coming from Riku's hair as he had jumped high in the air, Way To Dawn ready to strike behind his back. Just as fast as the speed of light, he raised the winged sword over his head and violently striking it down in the direction of Sora's forehead.

But it didn't succeed that much... Sora had lifted Ultima Weapon with his right hand just in time to block the attack, grunting at the strength Riku was giving it. [B]"Heh... seems that you underestimated me."[/B]

Riku and Sora both grunted, trying to make their attack hit the other. He pushed down harder with his right, his muscles starting to tense and ache... while Sora was reduced to kneeling down, trying to keep his guard up. Their swords both started sparking from the heat of the fight and also the blades. Suddenly, Riku swung the sword to his side and jump backward, splashing in the ridges of the delicate blue waves. Sora stood up and harshly swung the Ultima Weapon to his side and had an angry yet happy look, trying to mock Riku. [B]"Well well well... giving up already?"[/B]

Riku chuckled and stood ready once again, going to unleash an attack. [B]"You can try to block all of my attacks, Sora-chan,"[/B] he replied, [B]"...but even you, the Wielder of the Keyblade, should know that all blockings result to failure..."[/B] And then... he started sprinting forward, his weapons ready and his glasses shining from the bright rays of the sun.

[B]"Hah!! I didn't know you'd become so dense as to think that leaving your guard open was a good move!"[/B] Sora stood still and got into his stance once again, readying to parry Riku's move.

Out of nowhere, Riku grunted and jumped high into the air, causing Sora to look up dumbfoundedly. Suddenly, Riku then spun around and darted towards Sora, fast like a arrow. He lifted Soul Eater and loudly yelled, [B]"Aerial Sweep!!"[/B] When Sora was in his reach, he started unleashing strong combos, his sword going left and right and yelling out battle cries. Sora tried to block them all, but at the last attack, he was hit, causing him to sway and open his guard. Riku landed in the golden sand, not wanting to let this moment go to waste and swang Way to Dawn upward harshly, yelling, [B]"Freedom!"[/B] His blow had landed a critical hit and had caused Sora to fly upwards, mildly dazed.

Riku then kneeled down and jumped over and above Sora, spinning to where he could see him and stood in the air, pointing both Keyblade's that were shining at the tip with blue and black energy. As soon as the gravity pulled them back down, the energy had formed into a huge ball, ready to strike. The silver-haired teen was struggling to keep it steady, finally yelling, [B]"Freedom's Limit!"[/B] and unleashing the ball, causing both him and his weapons recoiling higher in the air.

Sora gasped as he finally saw the ball and tried to guard himself with his blades. The ball had hit him right in the center of his guard and sent him flying back towards the ground. He fell faster and faster... finally landing on the ground and landing with a loud crash, sand flittering around in the air and shrouding the young teen.

Riku then teleported to a nearby coconut tree and landed gracefully on it, his right hand on his hip and his other having Soul Eater lay on his shoulder. He looked down at the sand fog and scoffed happily.

[B]"Now you know how strong my heart is....."[/B]

[COLOR=Navy]Sora sat up and coughed as the dislodged sand whirled around him, carried by the wind. He covered his nose and mouth, spluttering at the gritty taste. The sand was beginning to fall back to the ground due to gravity. He then only realised that his hands were empty, meaning his keyblades were lying on the beach somewhere. He rubbed grit from his eyes and ruffled his hair, quickly getting up and starting to run, using the sand as cover while it lasted. He squinted and saw Oblivion sticking up in the sand, with Ultima Weapon a few metres away.

He was almost at Oblivion when his sand cover disappeared, leaving him in the open. Sora took a glance behind him to see Riku launch himself off the coconut tree he was perched on and disappear. He swore as he knew Riku was headed toward him, and right he was as the platinum haired teen re-appeared right beside him, swiping at him with his keyblades. Sora jumped and ducked the swings, rolling the last metre to Oblivion, pulling it from the sand roughly, spraying sand about and using it to block Riku's swing with a grunt. Riku grinned at him and crossed Soul Eater over the top of Way to Dawn, pushing all his weight down on Sora as he fell to the ground, lying on his back and pushing upwards with both hands on Oblivion, sweat forming on his brow from the stress.

Sora let Riku push him down a bit before lunging, heaving up and pressing a sharp kick to Riku's abdomen, sending the teen stumbling a few steps backwards. He took the chance and sprinted for Ultima Weapon, picking it up and swinging it around himself before brandishing both in the air.

[B]"Strike!"[/B] he roared, throwing Ultima Weapon at his best friend, as the keyblade reflected to return, Sora sent Oblivion right after it, catching Ultima as it returned.

[B]"Raid!"[/B] his hands and keyblades became a flurry as they flew to and from his grip, as he twirled them around his body for more momentum.

Finally he finished the attack, [B]"Judgement!!!!"[/B] he yelled, flinging the two keyblades forward simultaeneously, hitting Riku in the chest along with an orb of light that expanded, adding more damage.

Sora caught the keyblades and wiped the sweat that had gathered on his brow as the disrupted sand blocked his view of his best friend. He held his weapons at guard and whirled as he heard the sound of air displacement behind him, swiping at the spot as Riku appeared, catching him in the side. Riku grimaced and attacked back, the two keybladers flipped around each other, swinging and twirling their weapons magnificently, showing their true and utter control of the blades.

Riku suddenly spoke the word [B]"Data!"[/B] as his body was lifted into the air and he changed to be lying horizontal on his stomach, speeding toward him. Sora blocked as many of the attacks from the onslaught as he could, springing back and forth flexibly as he dodged them. He finished with [B]"Blitz!"[/B] and [B]"Rage!"[/B], swinging down on him heavily. Sora blocked Rage, grunting again as he pushed against his friend's downward force, letting do and tumbling to the side. He was panting from exhaustion now.

Riku disappeared, retreating a few metres away, the two were standing as how they had started the battle, but now they had a look of weariness about them, sweat rolling off their faces as they battled in the heat of the day. A cool breeze washed over the beach, lifting Riku's hair up behind him and sending Sora's shirt billowing forward. Riku straightened and disappeared. Sora growled and sprinted to his right, heading into the water until he was wading waist deep in it. Riku appeared, sending ripples through the water around them. Sora caught both attacks and lunged an attack with Ultima Weapon, stabbing him successfully in the solar plexus, hard. Riku gasped as breath left his body, doubling over. Sora grinned at the chance, leaping into the air and holding Oblivion pointed straight up.

[B]"Thunder!!"[/B] he cried, as golden lightning lanced from above, striking the lone figure in the water, the water conducted the current, adding to the damage it caused to Riku.

Sora glided back for the surface, leaving Riku, knowing he'd be coming after him soon enough. While he had the chance he uttered the word [B]"Cure."[/B] and a healthy green glow surrounded his body, replenishing the whittled strength from his body, as he prepared for the rest of the battle.[/COLOR]

[Riku]

[COLOR=SlateGray][SIZE=1][FONT=Tahoma]Riku got up on his hands and knees, sputtering water and coughing up a little blood in the blue ocean. He looked up at a grinning Sora, who didn't seem as tired as he was before... yet even more healthy looking, his Oblivion Keyblade on his shoulder and the Ultima Weapon on his hips. Sora started laughing at the beaten Riku, pointing Ultima straight at the silver haired teen. [B]"Wow... this is the first time I've ever seen the great Riku down on his knees,"[/B] he mocked, [B]"...sad to see that you're on the ground instead of me?"[/B]

After wiping his mouth of freshly running blood and shaking off the daze he had, Riku put his right hand under his sliver bangs and pulled it back, his hair dripping of ocean water and shining in the hot sun. He looked at Sora and smirked, lifting his sunglasses over his eyes and placing them on the top of his head, laughing a little. [B]"So... I see you've gotten a bit stronger,"[/B] he grunted and then sticking both hands out to the side, his head hanging a little while silvery glitter fluttered around his hands, both the Soul Eater and Way To Dawn back into his hard grip. He then lifted Soul Eater over his head and shouted, [B]"Cure!"[/B] causing a healthy green glow like that of Sora's to float around him, curing his wounds and cuts. He looked over towards Sora again, smiling even wider. [B]"I guess we're back to square one, huh?"[/B]

[B]"Heh... seems like you've learned a lot since we've been gone, huh?"[/B] Sora chuckled, crossing both Keyblades in front of his chest and swinging them both towards his sides. He then lifted Ultima over his head and Oblivion on it's opposite side read to swing and started running, grunting as he got closer.

Riku smiled and started running towards the oncoming Sora, Way To Dawn and Soul Eater pointed behind his back so that it would allow him to run a little faster.

As both ran a little ways and got into arms reach, they both jumped upward and readied their weapons. Sparks flying and metal clashing, they started throwing combos at each other, the recieving end trying to block. If Sora lifted Ultima over his head, then Riku lifted Soul Eater in front of his face, blocking the sheer power of his might. After a few minutes, Sora twirled upward and straightened out, pointing his body towards Riku had gained some momentum and speed. He yelled a battle cry and held Oblivion ready to swing and Ultima behind his back.

[B]"Sonic!"[/B] he had finally yelled, unleashing a few slashes aimed at Riku's chest. The flying Riku crossed both weapons over his chest, blocking the attacks and grunting at the recoil he had to face. After landing on the sand, they bent down and jumped up again.... Sora spinned clockwise and yelled[B],"Rave!" [/B] spinning and unleashing even more attacks and opening his legs and slashing in between them.

Riku was able to guard them all, but his strength was weakening fast. He started sweating again and smiled at Sora. [B]"Bring it,"[/B] he was finally able to say.

Sora smiled back, then spinning upward and turning towards Riku, coming down fast and pointing Ultima at him. [B]"Blast!"[/B] He finally got in range and got ready to strike when Riku suddenly pointed Soul Eater straight at the uncoming Sora, calmly casting a spell.

[B]"Stop."[/B]

Suddenly, Sora couldn't take a slash at Riku.... in fact, his whole body was froze. [B]"W... what the crap?!"[/B] he shouted, trying to move his arms but unsucceeding. He saw a smiling Riku coming closer to him, both Keyblades behind his back.

Riku spun upwards to Sora with his Keyblades pointed downwards, [B]"You remember this spell, don't you? It's my turn, now..." [/B] And then, when he was ready, he unleashed millions of attacks that looked as if he was only slashing twice. Sora's pained expression could be seen, but he still couldn't move.

When they were in the ground's distance, Riku spun backwards and landed softly on his feet while Sora came crashing down on his back, mildly dazed.

Both Keyblade's on his shoulders, Riku chuckled. [B]"I can tell you like the sand a lot... always running into it."[/B][/FONT][/SIZE][/COLOR]

[B]OOC:[/B] Eh, gomen gomen ^^; Haven't had time to post lately, plus no ideas u.u This isn't a good post by me, and I apologise for that too. I'm really quite tired at the moment but I wanted to get one in so it can continue. Hopefully I'll feel better for the next post.

[COLOR=Navy]Sora rocked backwards, doing a backward tumble and getting to his feet, he groaned as his body throbbed from the beating Riku had given him while his body had been frozen.

He eyed his best friend and charged, twirling his keyblades stylishly as he moved in for a good striking opportunity. Riku just smirked and waited until Sora was metres away, then he disappeared much to Sora's annoyment. He let out a frustrated sound and started running again. He used his "sixth sense" trying to predict Riku's next move. Sora dove off to the right hurriedly, rolling and jumping to his feet. He'd just dodged an aerial attack by Riku, who had tried to get him unaware.

[B]"Good job, Sora. Your senses are better than I predicted."[/B] he grinned.

[B]"Just fight like a man, Riku!"[/B] he taunted. [B]"Stop using dirty tricks like disappearing and flying."[/B]

[B]"You consider that cheating do you?"[/B] he asked, raising a delicate eyebrow.

[B]"Uh huh."[/B] he nodded, narrowing his eyes.

[B]"Fine, I won't use my flying or disappearing. Will that please you?"[/B] he did a sweeping boy, bring his right hand across his middle.

[B]"Yes, very."[/B] Sora smirked in return, this would make it an even playing field.

The two boys ran toward each other, Sora took deep breaths, making sure he had enough air getting into his lungs so it could circulate his body and provide the energy to his muscles that he desperately required at the time.

Sora noticed Riku's biceps tense as he prepared to wind up for a combo move.

[B]"Aerial Sweep!"[/B]

[B]"Aero!!"[/B]

The two called out their attacks simultaeneously. Luckily for Sora the wind barrier swirled around him immediately, protecting him from Riku's attack just in time as he hacked at it, releasing the combo. Sora clenched his fists tight, gripping the handles of his keyblades powerfully as he worked to keep the shield going. When Riku finished the combo, Sora knew it was the time to strike. His shield fell as he moved forward.

[B]"Arcanum!!!"[/B] he roared, rushing forward to his friend and unleashing his energy, slashing wildly with both keyblades, aiming for his open spots as he tried to block with his keyblades.

[B]"Bash!"[/B] He also started using his feet, kicking him hard enough in the stomach to wind him.

[B]"Impact Finish!!"[/B] He yelled his fury as he slashed downward in front of himself with both keyblades, hitting Riku heavily, but also unleashing several streams of lasers that circled before repeatedly hitting Riku. He cried out in pain and when the sand cleared, he was curled face forward on the ground, one hand grasping at the white grains of sand.

[B]"Aww, c'mon Riku, get up. I know you can still fight."[/B] Sora mocked him, spinning Oblivion on his left pointer finger while Ultima rested gently on his shoulder.

Emerald eyes glared up at him as the older teen wobbled to his feet, calling [B]"Cure."[/B] once again.

Sora grinned, he was hoping that he would use up all his strength with magic and abilities, which would leave him at Sora's mercy.[/COLOR]
