It is that time once again for the heros of the light to stand up to the demons of the darkness.....
It is time for the world to vanquish the evil in the heart and finally be cleansed of poison....
It is time.... for us to step forward and realize this wish.

+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+

It was already nightfall... the darkness has spread throughout the island and only the bright shine of the evening stars illuminated the sparkling ocean. Everything was quiet and everyone was inside their houses, asleep and dreaming of fantasies that could never be truly fufilled. The Destiny Islands were quiet and uneventful as usual... nothing ever happened, everyone played outside on the beach and the only way you could ever get out of that place was to look up at the sky and dream of your own adventures....

Riku looked up at the bright, starry sky... thinking of everything that had happened two years ago... wondering what would happen to this peaceful place. He then looked up at the moon that was shrouded in dark clouds and closed his eyes, letting the passing breeze cool his hot face, his long silver hair shining in the dim moonlight's rays. "I wonder... we've just come back here from our long adventure," he calmly whispered to himself, "..but... I still have this feeling that something is going to happen. Something that makes me want to get off this island and leave forever...." He then sighed again and climbed out of his bed and sat on the balcony of his window, gently laying his head on the wooden side and continued to look into the sky.

"Hey Riku!"

Riku gasped softly and looked down, only to see the brown-spikey haired Sora calling to him from below, still wearing his black attire. "Sora? What the hell are you doing up?!"

Sora grinned a big grin and pointed at the direction of the beach being overlapped by the waves. "I couldn't sleep... and I thought you would be awake too. So... you wanna sit down in front of the ocean?"

"Well... I don't know. I mean, we always do that everyday, anyways."

"But the waves are more special when you look at them in the moonlight!" Sora nagged, really wanting to see the ocean.

Riku sighed and chuckled a bit. "Fine, fine. Don't throw a temper tantrum... I mean geez, how old are you?" He kneeled down on his window pane and jumped onto the sandy surface, mumbling at the slight pain in his foot.

"I'm younger than you, old man. So I get an excuse to act like a little kid!" He smiled again and lifted his hand out to Riku.

Riku looked up at his best friend and took his hand, smiling and then giving him a small noogie. "Who are you calling old man, kid?!"

The two laughed and played around for a little while. Riku had finally let go of Sora, only to have him look up at the port, revealing a man in a black trenchcoat, a hood covering his face.

Sora looked up at Riku with a confused look. "Riku... hey what's wrong, man?"

"Look. Over there on the port."

Sora looked towards the direction, also seeing the dark man walking on the harbor. He gasped and lifted his hand behind him, summoning his Keyblade and growling.

Riku quickly gasped and held him back. "Wait! Don't you see if that's one of the Organization members, they'll feel the power of the Keyb..."
Suddenly, the cloaked man stopped walking and looked towards the two as if he always knew where they were.

"Damn! He saw us!" Riku grimaced and lifted his right hand, summoning his verson of a Keyblade, which had a red and black fin for a blade and a little angel wing coming out of the handle. He stood ready for the attacker and awaited, only thinking to himself, "Is... is the same thing going to happen to us like two years ago? ....Will I have the same fate of getting lost in the... darkness?"

And then, the figure slowly lifted his hand and pointed straight at Riku.... a voice coming out of the darkness...

It is time... for you to see if you belong in the darkness or the light... come... and show the world how strong your heart is... and then you will truly know wether or not you are in the right place.

It is time..... for a new beginning.

And then suddenly, the hodded figure slowly lifted his right hand to his side as if he was about to summon something. Riku and Sora looked at him a little dumbfoundedly until white and gold sparkles flashed around his hand, forming in the shape of a weapon... that looked just like a Keyblade.

Riku's face was in surprise... there were so many wielders... but another one? He frowned again and got into his fighting stance, putting his left foot in front of the other, his left hand pointing straight and his right wielding Way To Dawn over his head. "So... he wan'ts a fight, huh?" he finally said.

"Riku... do you even know who this is?" Sora asked in surprise, also in stance and Keyblade ready to fight.

"No, I don't...." he responded, but smirking this time, "....but let's found out now, shall we?"

Without any further hesitation, Riku started sprinting towards the unkown enemy, not letting him go without a little conversation.

Sephiroth stood over a balcony, staring into the void that was the universe. He was at his homeworld, the Terra?s Void it was called. It was a planet that was a giant city, dark, silent and devoid of life. Only the heartless, the already damned, resided in such a barbarous territory. This was the place where the last of the One Winged Angels resided. There was a time when these great divine beings were the masters of all the worlds. But now, their kind had succumbed to darkness, both the servants and the master.

They wouldn?t have it any other way.

Sephiroth turned back to face the throne room. It was here that the six One Winged Angels would calculate battle strategies and formulate their next course of action regarding the politics of the universe. Rarely did the Angels intervene in such matters, but when it did, it would always be as neutrals, and neither side would achieve prize they were seeking.

At one time, there were six thrones that hovered around an obsidian globe like the moons would hover around planets. Now, there were only four, with the others cracked and shattered.

The third highest throne that orbited belonged to Hayahmo, the Long Shot Assassin. The greatest sniper in the known universe, not a single target has escaped his grasp. An eye patch was over his right eye, but it was purely ceremonial. The eye patch was over his left just as much as it was his right. Crimson and black armor decorated his person. ?Did you have a good time at the Garden, Sephiroth??

The silver manned warrior shrugged. ?Yes and no. Cloud is as stubborn as ever. He has rooted himself too much in the light. He does not rely on the darkness anymore. He doesn?t even show his heritage!?

Another angel, the pyro fanatic Alphonse, spat in disgust. ?We should have burned him when we had the chance! His screams would of have made a great symphony in my chorus of fire.?

Sephiroth, not at very amused by the Infernal Angel?s comment, turned to face the fourth One Winged Angel. ?Be that as it may Alphonse, we have to move when the time is right.?

The fifth angel, Garland, twirled a playing card through his fingers. ?Agreed. I don?t think Lady Luck is not exactly on our side right now. Now thanks to Xemnas and his laughable Organization, there are more Heartless than we can shake a finger at.?

Hayahmo sighed. ?What about the Keyblade masters? They may not exactly be easy to deal with.?

?Yes,? Sephiroth nodded. ?Sora is not one to be dealt with lightly. And if his Nobody is anything like his host, we have more enemies than we need.?
?Riku is not one to be ignored either!? Alphonse noted. ?He has mastered the darkness without being enslaved to it.?

?Kind of makes ya jealous,? Garland snickered.

?At least the other deserter is missing. We can?t have two traitors on our backs.?

Garland turned towards Hayahmo. ?Don?t be so sure he won?t pop up again. Fate has a way to deal her cards in ways we won?t want her to.?

?Get the fuck away from me! Who the hell are you?!? The petrified teen swung his feeble weapon foolishly, the black voids that were the Heartless nearing closer and closer. Ferin swung the keyblade again. And once again it missed. He would swing his key blade in such a way countless times. With every swing, the Heartless would near closer and closer as they encircled him. Even more climbed the tower, reinforcing the horde that was prepared to devour this boy?s heart.

Suddenly, something happened. One heartless decided enough was enough, and leaped. Its black claws were outreached, preparing to scar Ferin. But, it moved too fast, and it got in the way of the silver key blade. It shattered into vapors, and as if this course of action was an omen to their fate, the other heartless began to back away.

Ferin?s breathing slowed. He smiled grimly.

He could win.

?Heh, didn?t think I could hit ya, now did you? Well, playtime?s over fuckers!? With that, with the Sleeping Lion in hand. Ferin charged in, and swing the keyblade at every chance he had. That one kill brought more morale to the boy than if a hundred warriors came to his aid. No longer was his mind saying no. Now, it was saying yes.

He was lost in the battle. If some human was aboard this tower with him, Ferin would be deaf to whatever they were saying. More and more he murmured under his breath ?Kill?, or ?Die?. He couldn?t stop thinking of the destruction of these black things. Vengeance was his only priority right now. His life became secondary as he entered his bloodlust.

Suddenly a roar thundered the towers. The stained glass portfolio that acted as Ferin?s stage of battle was shaken violently. The heartless squealed before crawling away from the keyblade master.

Slowly, the form of the roar revealed itself. A demon, its skins crimson like that of freshly spilled blood, its claws blue like ice. Horns twisted around its grim face. Its jaw was narrow, a large bone spiraling down from its chin. Its veins could be more similar to incomplete cobwebs. Its breath, which reeked of a thousand corpses, could be smelt a thousand miles away, if this realm between light and dark and nothing could even have miles.

The demon roared. With its icy eyes, it told the keyblade wielder that the battle had begun. And with it, it had also mocked that Ferin?s life was over. It roared once more, allowing its malicious claws and storm producing wings to stretch. Suddenly, balls of energy appeared around Ferin?s arms and legs, spreading them apart. He hovered face to face with the demon.

It licked its lips. Ferin chuckled.

?Hello beastie.?

Using every ounce of strength in his body, Ferin shattered the ball of energy that held his right arm, and smashed his keyblade into the demon?s face. It was pushed back with tremendous force. Ferin still hovered in mid air. The demon grabbed Ferin, crushing its energy balls that contained Ferin, and prepared to do the same to the boy. Ferin had other ideas, however, and smashed through the demons tight grip and slammed the keyblade into the demons jaw. As the demon was rocketed to the ground, Ferin fell onto the tower. He shook his head before climbing to his feet.

Suddenly, the tower was pushed over and Ferin was falling towards the void. At the last minute, he plunged the Sleeping Lion into the edge of the tower, but eventually it too gave way and Ferin was falling once again. Suddenly a giant ball of energy was speeding towards him. Thinking fast on his feet, Ferin threw the keyblade straight through the inferno. A giant clash of thunder and might could be seen beyond, and the chaos magic evaporated.

Ferin crashed onto another tower, with his Keyblade landing close beside him. Ferin climbed to his feet quickly, knowing full well that the demon would be on his trail. His prediction proved true, the demon?s head revealed itself and swung violently, catching Ferin in its grips. He tried desperately to keep the jaw from crushing him, with his hands and feet acting as support, but the colossal might was too much. The demon swung upward, sending Ferin flying, planning to devour Ferin before he had time to react. Luckily for the boy, the demon miscalculated and Ferin landed right on its scalp. Seeing this as his chance to end the conflict, Ferin plunged the keyblade into the demons skull again and again. Blood flowed light a great fountain. ?DIE, DIE, DIE!? Ferin laughed menacingly, as if he was enjoying this game of death.

The pain was too much for the heartless. Its strength had waned. It had spent countless millennia collecting hearts, but it was no match for any keyblade, nor its wielder. It eventually crashed into a tower, and Ferin would have died in the rubble.

But, for some reason, he did not die that day. Instead he saw a great light.

And then, he was in Twilight Town again. He was home.

The room was dark and cluttered with shadows, dancing around the walls by the light of a single candle resting on the table in the center. A solitary figure casually circled the shelves of books that rested along the walls.

"Blasted candle... Gives off hardly enough light," the figure mumbled in a low, burly voice. He grabbed a book and brought it towards the light only to reveal that it had a moving mouth on the cover. He paused for a moment before sighing. "I've known you far too long to be startled by that anymore."

"A shame, a shame," giggled the grin as it fluttered off the book as two yellow eyes appeared, followed by the rest of his purple and pink striped body. He wagged his bushy tail in the face of his acquaintance before floating up in the air. The shadowed figure approached the candle, but remained with his face in shadow.

"So, you've decided to leave Wonderland for good?"

The cat said nothing, and when the figure asked again, he merely began playing with the candle's flame with his paws.

"How to you intend to find it?" The question was ambigious, but both of them understood what he was talking about. However, after being met with silence again, he chuckled. "Or is it that a magician never reveals his tricks?"

"For a magician that uses tricks, that may be so. But a true wizard keeps no secrets and only tells all truths," the cat answered, pulling his head off his shoulders and spinning it on his finger like a ball. The figure's grin was visible even in the dim candle light.

"Is that so? Well, I believe it's about time now. One of them should be arriving soon, so don't wait until it's too late."

With an odd glint in his eye, the cat's body slowly began to disappear, starting with his tail and ending with only a floating mouth that spoke in an unusually calm, straight-forward way as it slowly fell down towards the table.

"The Cheshire Cat is never late." And with that, he was gone.

Kairi awoke with a start and sat straight up. She looked around to see she was in her room. Her room was mostly neat, having just been cleaned the other day, and the window above her bed was still shut.

Nothing was out of the ordinary, except she was still in her clothes from yesterday, though she convinced herself she had just fallen asleep in them, and her blanket and bedsheets covered only her feet while the rest were strewn out on the floor. She blinked for a moment before thinking to herself that she must have kicked them off while she was asleep.

"But... I've never had a problem with moving around in my sleep before," she thought quietly to herself. And then she wondered what had awoken her so suddenly, only to be stricken with the similar feeling of bad things to come in the pit of her stomach.

She stood up quickly and stared out her window to see figures moving on the beach below. Without another word, she jumped off her bed, ran downstairs, put her shoes on and ran out the door.

"Riku, Sora... I won't be left behind again," she whispered as she ran towards the beach.
OOC: Hope this is alright KW. :3 I didn't know how to introduce Kairi into the fight scene, so I just made her head that way. Feel free to have her participate or watch (either is fine). As for the Cheshire Cat, he won't arrive for a while, and I won't post as him everytime. If you have any questions/thoughts/complaints about him, KW, please PM and I'll explain. :3

Falling....

Falling...

Seth looked around as he flew down he reached his legs down to feel for fotting, none. He looked around frantickly(sp?). He grasped the handle of the Keyblade in his hands. It burned, the tip felt like it was on fire.

He closed his eyes trying to relax. Still falling he began to worry.

"One Winged Angel!!!" He yelled.

Next he knew he was falling in fron tof an island, a tropical island. The beach was painted little specks of people, a speck of light in the mountains signaled there was a person there too.

Splash!

He hit the ocean hard. Floating on his back. He eventually felt th epressure of sand against his firm back. He looked up to see two kids. One who looked exactly like him and a brown haired kid.

"R-Riku! Look! That kid ljust washed up on shore!!"Yelled Brown-Spike

"He even has a Keyblade!"

He sauntered restlessly amongst the ruins of the cursed city. The full moon shed its bewildering silver light upon the cowering shadows. The winds howled eerily; echoing the sounds of battle, and death. His body drank full of the darkness, his heart was cold, and numb. The velvet cloak shrouding his body, fluttered about gently; it seemed for a moment that the garb was fabricated out of shadows and not mere cloth.

Going down a stone stairway; he descended into an old dungeon. Going through one rusty gate after the other, as if searching for something, alas he did not know what it was. Easing himself to a complete halt, a strange light resonated behind him.

?What do you want?? his voice was strong, but cold, and lacking the slightest hint of emotion.

?You are needed? A voice echoed in his mind.

?This so called Organization is proving it?s disorganization to me time after time?

?Pathetic? He hissed aloud.

?Would you rather be left alone in your precious ruined city to rot with your ghouls, and ghostly dragons until the end of time?? The voice questioned bitterly.

The hooded man whirled gently; his face drenched in darkness. He started to pace towards one of the walls, with his left arm outstretched. Live shadows seethed out of the palm of his hand, and started to grow; they took the shape of fully armored knights. Their garb was black, and they bore a strange symbols on their cuirasses.

The dark knights marched before their master towards the wall; a gateway was emerging. He gestured to his servants with a wave of the hand, and they effortlessly opened the seemingly heavy gates.

?Yes?? He tardily answered.

Without breaking his stride he silently went through the gateway, as the misty portal it held within seemed to swallow him.

*************************************

On a far side of the beach on Destiny islands a dark cloud was twirling about above the crashing waves. Two ghostly creatures clad in torn crimson robes crept out of the shadows and spread their bat like wings. They took flight to a certain altitude, and then plunged their bony hands into the very fabric of the skies, and ripped open a portal. Emerging form it was the same cloaked figure from Lea Monde. One of the winged beasts uttered a strange sentence in some forgotten dialect, and an ethereal staircase spread itself down to the shore.

?Rood bearer? The beasts crackled.

He continued down the stairs without a word, and upon reaching, he gestured with his left hand again; the portal and the two winged demons vanished into the night. The sound of clashing steel reached his ears. He moved towards the source of the clamor. His flowing attire and strict posture made it seem like he was gliding above the sands.

His eyes caught sight of four figures; one of them was his comrade. There was also one spiky haired boy he had not seen before, and a silver haired young man whom he had seen when he first came to this strange world. He also noted the presence of another figure floating in the ocean water. The desire to kill slumbered deep within; he had no taste for bloodshed that night.

Like a reaper from the underworld he preceded, his presence struck awe even in the heart of his comrade.

?Why did you summon me?? He asked flatly.

?You?re a member of this organization Ashley, and your presence was deemed important? The man wielding the strange key blade like weapon answered.

?Why haven?t you killed them yet? Are these children troubling you with their key toys?? Ashley asked.

?Who is this guy Riku?? The spiky haired boy asked.

?I don?t know Sora? The other answered.

?You can handle these louts on your own?? He murmured as he headed towards Sora, and Riku.

?They do have such hateful names; I can see why you want them dead?

?Hey!? Sora charged at Ashley.

A smack from Ashley sent blood gushing out of the boy?s mouth. Sora fell to the ground before even having the chance to swing his key blade. Ashley looked briefly at Riku, then continued with his slow paced walk.

?Out of my way boy, you do not want to meddle with me?

The cloaked man behind Ashley grinned for some reason.

?You?ve done well risk breaker, quench your blood thirst? He said.

?They would not be breathing now, if I had one tonight?

?I have a present for you, head for the houses and you shall find it?

Ashley moved away slowly. Sora petrified with shock stared bewilderedly at him.

**********************************

On his way to the houses on the islands he found himself drawn to a certain dwelling more than the others. He felt something calling for his soul.

Ashley hid himself in the shadows, as he sensed someone approaching. It appeared to be a girl. Something about her reminded him of the past.

She looks like?She is?Merlose?

He suddenly snapped out of the gloom, and grabbed her by the throat. His eyes scanned her face thoroughly as she squirmed to break free from his powerful grasp.

?Merlose?! Is it you?!? For the first time in what seemed to be an eternity to him he had found someone he once knew, but his manner was as harsh, and impersonal as ever.

?I am?Ka?Kairi? She struggled to speak.

?What are you saying?? He asked, as he tightened his grip.

He looked straight into her eyes; they were as blue as the sky.

?Wicked blight? You are not Merlose? He violently cast her aside.

She groped for her neck, as she coughed, and grasped for air. When Kairi looked up again, the cloaked man had disappeared.

He would observe the situation on the islands before deciding what to do.

"Wait just a damn minute!" Riku yelled towards the man running away, kneeling down beside Sora to help him up. But it was already too late... the second cloaked man had ran so fast that he couldn't find him in the darkness. He helped Sora up and growled at the first cloaked man they fought with, wielding Way To Dawn in front of his face and pointed it straight at the hooded figure with the dark blue keyblade. "You bastard.... who was that you just summoned?!" he finally said, his face angered and annoyed.

Sora had finally gotten up from his mild daze and started running to the water, looking at Riku. "Riku!! You take care of that bastard!! I'll see who this is over here!"

Riku sharply nodded and turned back to the hooded figure, ready to fight. "I don't know who the hell you think you are," he muttered, ".. but I'm not going to let you take anyone that I cherish!" He started sprinting with his weapon behind his back, ready to strike.

All the hooded figure could do is laugh and rested his right hand on his hip, his Keyblade hanging loosely. He then shifted his head upward a little, mocking Riku, finally saying, "Well... you don't even remember my voice, do you?" When Riku got into arm length, he simply lifted his Keyblade gently and blocked it easily.

Riku continued to try to get the swing through, but his face was in confusion. "Who are you?" he tried to speak, but his throat was dry. When he finally realized he couldn't break the man's block, he jumped back and swung Way To Dawn down forcefully, anger flittered all over his face. "Damn you! Just show me your face and quit hiding behind that hood!!"

The man snickered, finally putting his left hand over his black hood and removing it.... white- yellowish hair flowing down from it, a bit spikey yet straight at the top and his skin had a light tan. His face could be seen from the dim moonlight, his mouth smiling small yet handsomely. "Remember me now.... Riku?"

Riku could only stare and look at him, past memories haunting him... causing him to fall to the ground on his hands and knees, gasping for air and sweat falling from his brow. "X... Xem..."

The figure slowly walked over to Riku and picked up a sliver of his silver hair, pulling it up to his level, laughing at the speechless yet hypnotized look on Riku's face. He started slapping it hard with his hand, his expression in a mildly evil look. "Well well well... what a way to greet me." Before he could slap Riku anymore, he suddenly, he saw a young girl running towards them, her face in an angered rage.

"Xemnas!!" Kairi yelled, raising her hands and summoning her version of a weapon. "Put Riku down right now or I'll slice your hand off!"

Xemnas scoffed at her and throwing the hypnotized teen towards her, allowing her to catch him in her arms. He then put his right arm over his stomach and bowed low to her, his long white hair flowing onto the sandy and gritty ground. "It is an honor to meet you again," he then looked up at her, his face happy, "... Miss Kairi."

Kairi looked at him angrilly and then sadly back at Riku, trying to snap him out of his horrible nightmare. "Riku..." she spoke softly, trying to wake him up, "Riku... it's okay. You won't be taken away... or left alone in the darkness anymore..."

Riku didn't respond.... only just sitting up in the sand covered by her soft touch, his arms and hands laying droopily on his side. His eyes looked as if it didn't have a glow anymore... he was remembering the horrible past... his demons.

His forhead started forming more sweat... and his deep green eyes were over-flowing with blue tears.

Ferin stood on the clock tower, staring downward at the place that he had called home for the past seventeen years. Here was where he got his first taste of ice cream; here he made so many friends; here he got a kiss on the cheek from his first crush.

But now, no one even knows him! No one knows his birthday, or what he likes to do for fun, or all the trouble he caused! No one knows what his favorite ice cream is, or what he wants to do for his life. His mom and dad don?t even exist, his home being a junk pile that was a demolished house thirty years ago.

When he left that mansion, he came to a Twilight Town that never even knew he existed. He came to the true meaning to hell.

It would have been so easy. Just one step, just a single motion towards the edge, and all of his misery would be over. All of his pain would cease to exist. His tears would stop. His crushed heart would stop beating.

And no one would even care.

Ferin spread his arms out, as if he was ready to dive into a pool. ?It will be quick?? he assured himself. ?Don?t think about it! Don?t even blink! Finish it! Don?t care about what someone might think! Just do it!?

It almost happened. Ferin almost took his own life, a boy once full of energy of life, of such vigor and enthusiasm. Now, he was a shadow of a man, someone who couldn?t wait for his blood to be spilled. He didn?t want to live in a life where he never even existed. He didn?t want to be a nothing. He wanted to be a something?but as far as he was concerned, as long as he was alive that would never happen.

But, then something unexpected happened. Ferin never thought a mist of black would materialize around him. He never would of have guessed that that same mist would break all laws of science and have a mass to its own and push him against the wall, saving the suicide?s life. And he never would of have guessed that the mist would take the form of a man in a black cloak.

At first, Ferin was in fear. The man ? if he was even a man ? had the appearance of a god of death. Its very appearance made Ferin?s skin crawl. He wanted to say something to the enigma, but he could not say anything. But, that was all before the man talked.

?Hello.?

That one phrase, that single word, brought so much relief to Ferin. It made him feel?good inside. It told him that this would be god of death was no demon; he was not out to harm Ferin. He wanted to help him.

?W-who are you?? Ferin stuttered, more out of the shock of finding a kind soul than any sort of fear.

?A traveler who wants to help.?

?Seems an awful lot for somebody to say. Ya gotta have a lot of backbone to say something like that, buddy.?

?I have been through much, but not as much you I?m afraid.?

?You?ve got that straight?? Ferin mumbled under his breath.

A weapon materialized in the stranger?s hand, and he tossed it into Ferin?s lap. ?Take this. It will help.?

?What the hell is this??, Ferin asked as he raised the odd weapon.

?They call it ?One Winged Angel?. It?s a keyblade, in case you have not figured it out by now.?

?A keyblade??? Suddenly, the Sleeping Lion materialized in Ferin?s open palm.

?Ah, I see you already have a weapon. Well, two certainly won?t hurt.?

?Who are you??

?I am he that has been killed, and revived again, by the darkness. I am he wants to aids those who have my common enemy.?

?Who says I?m after the darkness, or whatever it is.?

?Because, I believe what they are after will tell you who you really are.? Ferin raised his stare from the new weapon, intrigued by the man?s proposition. ?Ah, I see that caught your interest. Good; it will seem that we have a common foe, am I right??

?Yeah, sure??

The cloaked man folded his arms. ?Now, it is my reason to believe that the heart of certain worlds hold the knowledge of your true identity.?

?You mean I?m not Ferin??

?You are Ferin, but not the one that you believe you are.? The man coughed before he continued. ?To unlock the knowledge of these worlds, you must unlock the gate to the hearts. Your keyblades, are the way to access that gate.?

?Hold it! I can tell there?s a price.?

?And your assumption would prove to be correct! Unlocking the gate of worlds will also the heartless to slowly consume the world, until it is nothing but darkness. And as a result, thousands of soldiers will be added to their horde.?

?I can?t do that?there?s no way I could do that??

?You?re powers as a keyblade master are not strong enough to relock these gates ? only to unlock. However, there are two who have enough powers to lock the gates.?

?Who??

?Sora and Riku, but their hearts would not even allow them to accompany you, forget about letting you risk the corruption of worlds after their own met such a dire fate.?

?What do I do then??

?You must let the worlds be corrupted.?

?But, those people will be??

?Corrupted? Yes, but good have they done to you? Nothing! They just sneered at you for being a stranger, when all you wanted was to have a home. It is equal exchange.?

?That?s not fair at all!?

?Its your choice, Ferin. I am giving you only choices, only paths to take. It is you who must choose which crossroad to follow.?

?I want to know who I am??

?Then perhaps you should consult a wise man.?

?And who would that be??

?In Radiant Garden, there are such few people. But, you do not have enough influence with their organization to arrange a meeting with them, and let?s not forget the fact that you do not even have transportation.?

?What do I do then??

?Wait, and find the influence. Patience is a virtue.?

?Riku you mean??

The man raised his chin. ?You seem to know this Riku, yes??

?I think I do??

?Your chain of memories tells you so. Riku and his allies will come here soon enough.? The man clapped his hands. ?Now, I have one more gift for you before I leave.?

?And what?s that??

?That.? The man pointed to the wall further down, where a black cloak was hung, nearly identical to the one the man was wearing. ?Sora and Riku will definitely associate with you if they see you in that.?

Ferin wasn?t exactly convinced. ?Black cloak, huh??

?Trust is the key to success. Now I must be off. Arrivederla!? And with that, a black portal consumed the man, and he was gone.

?Trust is the key to success, huh??

The crimson sun shone brightly over Twilight Town, bathing the citizens in it's vibrant light. Things were relatively calm today, perfect circumstances for an afternoon of thought, especially for Twilight Town's denizen Roxas. He had been a whole being for months, suprisingly, and it still didn't feel right. For him to have his own being again, he must have some purpose as such. He still wielded the Keyblade, and he still had the ability to fight the Heartless and Nobodies.

So then was his destiny now? Since the appearance of the clooked man, Axel, and the reappearence of his Keyblade, nothing interesting had happened. The occasional Heartless would appear, and the nobodies has almost ceased to appear. The only nobodies left in the city were the actual people, save for a few. Roxas knew that he, Axel, Seifer, Fuu, Rai, and Vivi were whole beings...but Hayner and the gang...They were nobodies of Sora's friends.

"Roxas!"

Roxas snapped back into the present as Hayner's voice reached his ears. He turned around and walked into their Hangout Spot. Axel was sprawled out on the couch near the wall having a conversation with Olette, Pence was tossing darts at the dart board [and missing horribly], and Hayner was leaning against the wall on the pool table. He grinned at sight of Roxas and called his buddy over.Roxas walked over smiling and him and Hayner did their handshake. Hayner spoke tauntingly, yet playfully.

"Jeez, man! You just sit out there some times, it's so wierd. Did you act like this with the other us?" Roxas had explaine dthe alternate Twilight Town to his friends, and they had understood. It was almost as if nothing had changed for Roxas, saving Axel now being a part of the group. Though there was tense air at first from Axel's previous exploits, upon explaining his motive, he was instantly accepted. Now Roxas had everything he wanted. His own friends, his own life. But something was brewing, and Roxas could feel it.

"Actually, yah, I did. Guess things never change, huh?" Everybody laughed and Hayner patted his friend on the shoulder.

"Well, Roxas, I know one thing that'll never change. The five of us," he gestured to them all, "will always be friends. So long as you don't get hit by a car while your daydreaming." More laughs, and Roxas eased into the couch next Axel. Roxas looked at him, and Axel nodded. They both grinned and hit fists together. Pence threw his last dart and turned to the gang.

"Well? Whaddowedo now---" He was interrupted by a scream from outside. Axel and Roxas looked at each other quickly and then jumped up, running outside. Down around the sandlot area there were creatures attacking the civillians. Roxas gasped upon spotting them.

"Nobodies!" Roxas drew his katana and transformed it into his keyblade. Axel stuck out his hands and summoned his chakrams. They hit their weapons together and ran towards their enemies, but both stopped dead when they arrived. Their were both Nobodies and Heartless assaulting the city. Roxas was amazed.

"Heartless and Nobodies? I sense the hand of this new Organization...and another force." Axel wasw about to respond when a Samurai nobody sprung at him and attacked. Axel jumped back and tossed his chakrams into the Samurai, pulled them out, spun around, and finished it with a final slash. Axel looked at Roxas.

"We'll talk later, but for now, let's take care of the enemies!" Roxas nodded and went to work. They made quick work of the Dusks and the Shadows, the Soldiers and the Creeprs. But then came the hard part. Iron Knights and Samurai were coming relentlessly, but the two warriors would not give in. High above them, on the Twilight Town rooftops was Hayahmo, observing the keyblade wielder.

"Hmmm...He is quite the resilient one, isn't he? Very much like his other... This does breed trouble... But alas, we'll deal with him when the time comes. Good-bye, Roxas, Number Thirteen." And with that, Hayamho departed, seen by none. Roxas dealt another blow to an Iron Knight when suddenly the Heartless and Nobodies dissapeared. Roxas frowned and lowered his keyblade. He turned to Axel, who shrugged cluelessly.

"No idea man." Roxas frowned and gripped the keyblade tightly. A sudden appearance of Heartless and Nobodies that dissapear as soon as they appear... What was going on? Roxas's thoughts dispersed quickly as he sensed two new presences in Twilight Town. One had a keyblade, and the other was oddly familiar. Neither seemed like a threat, so Roxas ignored them for the moment. His first concern was to get to Sora, to Riku, to Kairi, but he knew, or rather, could feel, that they would be arriving soon.

So what was he to do now? If he was to sit and wait again, he wanted to do something in his wait. And suddenly it cae to him. The Keyblader! That new presence, currently located in the Clocktower, deifintely needed to be looked in to. Roxas looked at Axel, then motioned towards the clock tower.

"Follow me." Axel nodded and ran off behind Roxas. Roxas held his Keyblade to the side, in case they ran into trouble again. He mumbled lowly under his breath.

"What new adventure awaits?"

+++++

OOC: I hope it's alright that we're headed towards your character, Doublehex. I figured a meeting or some conflict would spice things up for us Twilight Towners. I also hope it's fine, KW, that I had Hayahmo watching Roxas's progress for a while.

Ferin?s feet swayed in the air as he swung his keyblades, the Sleeping Lion and the One Winged Angel, lazily in the air. He was sitting on the ledge of the clock tower, the black cloak draped over his shoulder, as he stared down at Twilight Town. It was all so peaceful, how could that man even suggest he interrupt that peace just because they don?t remember him? It probably wasn?t even their fault in the first place!

Or maybe they hated him so much that they wanted to forget??

Ferin dropped his keyblades onto the floor, and rubbed his eyes. He was so tired?too much crap going on all at once. There were too many questions that were spinning Ferin?s mind, and not enough answers to slow his mind down. Who was he? What is the true Ferin that this man referred to?

Suddenly, Ferin heard something creep up on him. He turned to see a series of silvery like creatures wiggling behind him. Thin in stature, a sort of blood liquid was oozing from their sides, and a cross-like symbol was stamped onto their flat heads. Ferin leaped upward, not knowing where the sudden burst of speed came from, and grabbed his keyblades. Before he got a chance to react, the creatures leaped for him, wrapping their elastic bodies around him and pushed him off the tower.

Ferin was certain it was over. There was no way he could survive such a big fall! He was a dead man, and who knows what these?things were going to do to his body. Probably eat it, flesh and bones and all, not even being courteous enough for an unmarked gravestone.

However, fortune was smiling on Ferin on that day. He did not plummet to his death. Rather, a roof broke his fall, as well as the suicidal creatures that tried to kill him. As soon as he fell, the creatures detached themselves and ?floated? off through the wall.

Ferin got to his feet as quickly as his aching body would allow it to, finding himself on top of a shattered kitchen table. A husband and a wife were on their butts, startled that a boy with silvery things attached to him had not only fell through their roof, but was alive to boot.

?What the hell!? Ferin turned to see an infuriated girl with staring at him furiously. Ferin however, did not have time to explain as what he could only presume were the girl?s mother and father scream as the creatures re-entered the house. The sped towards Ferin, wrapped themselves around his legs, and dragged him out of the room.

They eventually let go of the confused teen, and he went flying into the dirt. When he got to his feet, he was surrounded by the things.

?What the hell did I do to get into this mess?? Shrugging the question off, Ferin raised his keyblades. ?Ah well! All right you fuckers, prepare to get your asses whooped!? As if that was their cue, the creatures sprang for Ferin from every direction possible. Ferin got into an offensive position and charged in, slashing as he went. He nearly cut one of the things in half, and the ooze sprang everywhere. Ferin was moving faster than he expected, however, and he tripped on his feet. He was on the ground, and the creatures were surrounding him. ?Damn?? he groaned. One of creatures wrapped their ?hands? around Ferin?s neck, and as they raised him up, proceeded to choking him. Others anchored themselves on whatever miscellaneous objects they could find, and wrapped themselves around Ferin?s legs and feet, and slowly ripped him apart.

?My?god?.NO! Not like this!? he cursed. Suddenly, a black flame surrounded him, and the monsters that were near him were burnt alive. Ferin fell to his feet, and the flame instantly dissipated. He stared at his hands like he was a god. There was only thing he could say at a time like this:

?I?m the human torch? Sweet!?

Not all of the creatures, unfortunately, were not burnt. Some of them even survived, and all of them began to encircle Ferin. They charged in, and Ferin, grabbing his keyblades as fast he could, charged in right after then. The creatures cut him and sliced him, but he in turn butchered them and mutilated them in ways the monsters never would of thought even a keyblade master was capable of. When the creatures were all dead, Ferin?s vest was covered in their ooze.

?Aw man, this costed a half year?s worth of allowance! I?ll get them back for that?? As he began to head for one of the exits of the sandbox, the black cloak floated downwards, and quite convientley landed right beside his feet. Ferin inspected the cloak. ?Hmmm, this it will do?? Slipping it on as quickly as possible, Ferin headed for the town center. It was time to figure out just what the hell was going on.

As Alex began to make his way down from the mountain, he started to wonder about just what he was getting himself into. His black hair became entangled on his face as he stayed lodged to that one spot while the wind blew.

Do they wield Keyblades also?

Deciding not to risk going down the mountain formation blindly, Alex climbed back up the rocks to the little perch where the portal formed. As he arrived back to his starting point, he sat down with his elbows on his knees, looking at Acheron curiously.

"Why me? Why am I the one who's here?" Alex said quietly to himself, talking to no one as he looked at his weapon. His eyes squinted then. "And... why.. isn't this Keyblade... heavy?" Alex lifted his right hand containing the Keyblade and began to swing Acheron in the air, the Keyblade making a swooshing noise as it cut through the wind.

Alex whistled. "Now that's a sharp Keyblade." he said. Alex then began to look at the unique craft of the blade, the different shades of blue catching whatever reflections it could. The giant blue cross on the end of the Keybade was also a thing of beauty, it's edges razor sharp. "Nice. Very nice." Alex looked back down at the bottom of the cliff to see the two boys still at the same spot.

Maybe they were busy? Alex soon shrugged it off.

After inspecting his Keyblade once more, Alex stood up and turned around, facing a rock formation directly ahead of him. "I couldn't have done that!" Alex said staring at the cut made by his newfound weapon. "I wasn't even trying to hit the rock!" Alex looked at the blade again, shaking his head.

"This blade is really, really sharp!"

Alexander looked at the ground once more. The two boys had apparantly moved from their spot, relieving Alex.

"About time. Now maybe I can get off of this Gawd-forsaken rock."

Alex began climbing down the mountain until he reached the bottom. There he took in the sights. Waterfalls, sand, fresh water and fruit on top of the trees.

"...Paradise." Alex said.

=========================

OOC: I'll stop right there. If anyone wants to meet me near the beach, that's where i'll be until I post again. Also, it should be noted that if someone who wields a Keyblade meets Alex and shows him their Keyblade, Alex will become hostile. On the same note, do not skew your character's personality in order to prevent him/her from talking to Alex if you can.

Sora glared up at the man that had hit him, wiping his left hand across the bottom of his lip, wiping away the blood that sat at the corner of his mouth. He allowed Riku to help him up, his grip on the Millenium Keyblade tight and his eyes never leaving the man. Sora looked off to his side, remembering that he saw someone wash up on the shore.

"Riku!! You take care of that bastard!! I'll see who this is over here!" he told his best friend as he ran toward the waves.

He jogged through the sand easily from a lot of practise, his keyblade swung with his arm as he ran, going down the slight hill that lead to the water's edge. He approached the figure lying on the sand, his eyes closed.

"Hey, are you ok?" Sora called, bending down and resting his hands on his knees as he looked over the boy.

The boy snapped open his eyes, looking into Sora's deep blue pools. He sat up and tried to stand, slipping on a pile of seaweed and hitting the sand again, bumping his head. Sora hissed, he'd done that too many times.

"Here, I'll help you up." the Millenium disappeared in glitters and Sora extended his hand, the boy didn't seem that bad.

Sora pulled him up by his left hand, before seeing the keyblade glimmering in his right. He recognised it immediately as the One Winged Angel. Sora grabbed his right hand and brought it up, looking at the weapon. The boy just looked at him strangely, lowering his hand as Sora released it.

"Uh sorry." he grinned and rubbed the back of his head. "My name's Sora, nice to meet you....?" he extended his right hand again for a shake.

"Seth, my name's Seth." he said, the One Winged Angel disappeared and he took the extended hand, shaking it firmly.

Sora remembered his best friend and quickly glanced over, realising he and Kairi were in trouble. He let go of Seth's hand and frantically sprinted toward the two, seeing Xemnas standing above them. As he ran, Millenium materialised in his hand. Faintly he heard the shuffling of sand as Seth followed behind him, he had a feeling that he had materialised his keyblade too.

Sora roared as he lunged at Xemnas. Standing in front of his friends protectively, a frown on his face and keyblade held tightly.

OOC: Sorry it's kinda short and vague. Didn't have much to go on. Never described Seth because he hasn't changed his sign up. My posts'll get better (hopefully)

Wandering about in the darkness of the night; Ashley was a bit disturbed. Before the moment when he met the girl that called herself Kairi he had no recollection of the name Merlose whatsoever, now he remembers everything about it, and the person who once went by it.

It was awfully strange for him, that odd feeling of nostalgia. He shook his head, trying to rid himself of her memory, but in the end he wanted to bask in its warmth, and hold on to it for as long as he can. It was the most private, and precious of his possessions in that strange world where he felt naked, and hateful.

He took in a deep breath, and then let out a deeper sigh. Cold and desolated he felt within. Soon he returned to his emotionless state, but he appreciated those few warm moments. He was better off this way he thought to himself for emotions would only hinder him useless eventually.

This brief sensation of emotion however helped harden his heart further more, the same way a hammer tempers red hot steel. He clenched his gloved fists; the crackling tweak of leather withered away with the passing winds. His cloak drawn about him; he calmly made his way though the darkness.

He did not like these key blade wielders, and he certainly detested the key blades themselves. His hatred was unconditional; he didn?t need a reason to hate them. The craving for death rattled about in his heart.

***************************

Upon making his way back to the beach; something stirred within his soul. He sensed dark energy resonating about him. It was coming from the mountain formation. His feet led him in that direction.

Xemnas can handle himself with those annoying children?

While moving through the dark woods towards the base of the mountain, his mind flashed now and then with visions, and fragments of distant memories. He ignored them.

He noticed a strange figure making its way down the mountain, and so he lingered in the shadows and observed. It was a young boy, with hoary and black hair. Soon Ashley realized that the dark energy was coming from the boy. He stepped out of the shadows.

?You?? He muttered.

The boy whirled, and drew what seemed to be a key blade.

?Who are you? What do you want?? The boy asked nervously.

?I sense a strong aura about you?Yet it is still far from refined?I will have to test you strength??

?Who are you?? the boy asked again.

?Words are of no importance; our blades will do the talking? My name you shall learn if you prove your self worthy?? And with these words Ashley faded into the dark forest behind him. The boy hesitated at first, but then followed.

All was silent in the forest, except for the soft whisper of the winds, and the faint rustle of leaves. Fireflies, and the moon?s silver light somewhat illuminated a limited area in the forest; Ashley stood in the midst of the area.

?Why do you fight?? He asked.

?To be become stronger? The boy answered.

?Why do you wish to be stronger??

The youngster stuttered, and was horrified by the fact that he did not know why he wanted to be stronger. Was his pursuit of power a waste of time, and energy? Was it all in vain? Then he remembered.

?To stop the war, to restore balance? He answered with frustration.

?There will always be war; man will always want to kill his brethren, I have seen wars end, only to be rekindled again like a raging phoenix more furious than ever?

?Damn you and your lectures! I am Alexander the chosen Key blade wielder? The boy growled, as he dashed at the cloaked man.

He leaped and whirled, as he slashed, and hacked at Ashley. All his attacks however were evaded with the simplest of maneuvers. The blade whistled at it sheared through the air, it gleamed wildly as it severed on tree trunk after the other. Alexander panted, and clenched his teeth with anger; Ashley had not even drawn a weapon.

?Your weapon is consuming your soul, you?re letting it wield you?It is just a weapon like any other no matter how powerful it may be??

?Shut up! I?ll send you back to whatever hell you came from!?

The boy charged once more. Ashley calmly stepped aside; evading a hammering cut that would?ve cleaved him in half. He slightly lowered his head escaping a blazing arch, which engraved a deep groove unto the tree at his back. The boy reeled and whirled retuning with a back hand slash. Ashley caught his arm with seemingly great ease.

?Are you quite finished?? He asked, and then gave the boy a strong punch in the face, causing him to stagger back a few steps. Ashley walked towards the panting boy in a slow paced amble.

?You depend too much on your blade, if you do not mend this mistake it will certainly be your downfall? You must have had such narrow sighted opponents to have lived so far??

?Who are you?? Alexander spat blood.

?You have much to learn, and I can teach you to become stronger than any of the imbeciles here, I still however have not seen anything that would motivate me to endow my time in your guidance ??

?The key blade? This legendary weapon is proving to be quite impotent? You must realize that it is only a tool?I am not interested in your frivolous goals, but I am however interested in seeing you achieve your true potential? Ashley continued.

?This test is not over yet though?Have you the courage to resume?? He asked.

?This test is not over yet though?Have you the courage to resume?? He asked.

"Dammit, you..." Alex said to the man, trying to catch his breath. "...I'll kill you yet! Aaarrggghhhhh!!!" Alex yelled towards the sky, drawing all the strength he could. As his veins bulged and pumped with blood, Acheron flashed black and orange at irregular moments during the yelling; making Ashley's eyes slightly grow wider from the increase of dark powers.

"Yes boy, that's it! Show me your powers! Unleash the darkness!"

As Acheron glowed more frequently, souls emitted from the blade, wrapping themselves around Alex's body. As Alex finished screaming, he was covered in a deep black glow resembling 'undead flames.'

~ Lost Souls has been Activated ~

Veins showing all over his body and his flat, black hair now standing on end, Alex was only interested in defeating the one before him now; despite the questions that arose from his changes in strength. Alex pointed Acheron at the strange man who had caused him so much pain from the beginning of the fight.

"Time to die."

"Come kill me then, boy."

Alex swung Acheron horizontally towards Ashley with his right hand from 20ft. away. A swooshing noise was heard followed by Ashley's shroud being cut completly off, exposing his head. Ashley's eyes widened from semi-fright.

His neck was unscathed...

Alex spoke while smiling. "That's the precision i'll have with your body in a few minutes." Alex began to walk towards Ashley, moving extremely slow from the magic he'd unconsiously used, covered in the dark, black, flame-like glow.

Ashley was momentarily stunned at the dark powers that lied dormant in Alexander until now. He spoke to the boy, mainly to bluff. "You can't hurt me boy. I'm stronger than you'll ever be."

Alex walked slowly to Ashley's position, the two battling with their blades automatically. "I just guess we'll see then won't we?" Alex stated while battling.

As the two clashed with their swords doing fancy bocking and attacking, Alex swung from overhead trying to cleve Ashley in two. Ashley, however, blocked the attack with his blade; dropping to one knee from the increased strength of the boy. As Ashley looked into the boy's eyes at that moment, he didn't see the blue that he once did. Instead, he saw black mixed with red tinge. It was clear that the boy had fell deeper into darkness than he should have.

*How is the boy using this much dark power without suffering any consequences?!* Ashley thought. He growled in an attempt fo fight the boy's blade off of him during the struggle. This, however, only caused Alex to grit his teeth in rage as he pushed down even harder. Ashley's arms started to quiver.

Then, during his thoughts, Ashley began to wince in pain. Alex had become tired of trying to cut him in half, using one hand to hold the blade and using the other to punch Ashley in the kidneys. The punches became harder with every blow.

"Come on... attack me now!" Alex said confidently while striking the man multiple times. "Am I relying on the Keyblade too much now?! Well... am I?"

Ashley began to bleed from the mouth due to the multiple punches. *Impossible!* he thought. *The boy is ridiculing me now?! How? And why is he becoming stronger?! This is... this is...* Ashley pushed Alex off of him with all his might, haulting the standstill they were in with their blades. Alex flew 10 feet back, astounded that the man was holding back on more strength.

"Absurd!" Ashley finally said speaking the last portion of his thought aloud from the strain. He began to hold his side tightly while closing one eye as if it would help him heal quicker. Blood drained from his mouth and his head began to throb from the output of adrenaline.

"Aawww..." Alex provoked. "Did I hurt the bad man's body? Come back to daddy then, i'll make it better." Alex waved his Keyblade at Ashley signaling him to come get some more punishment. "Hah, You're doing better than I expected." Ashley stated.

Man, just wipe yourself off and stop complimenting me." Alex moved his left finger in a circle around his lips signaling to Ashley that he had blood all over his mouth.
The horde of the silver creatures charged behind Ferin as he raced down the alleyway. He had been fighting for close to a half hour in a glorious display of awesome combat, his twin keyblades twinkling under the afternoon sky as the ooze-blood splattered across Ferin. However, he had become too reckless, and his left arm was damaged severely. It was wounded enough that it would not be of any use in this battle: even the slightest forced movement sent a wave of pain through his body.

Ferin gripped his bleeding arm nervously as he looked at his options. A dozen or so of the creatures were charging in after him, and Ferin could easily see that the alleyway was going to make a sharp left. What bothered him was that he didn?t know if it was going to a dead end.

And if it did, Ferin was going to be no more.

Suddenly, half a dozen of the creatures leaped in front of him. Ferin halted abruptly, turning to see his pursuers encircling him. On the rooftops, on the roadways, on the walls and the streets - there was no where left to run. It was time to fight?and to die.

Ferin sighed. His adventure had ended before it had even begun. He didn?t even get to meet Riku?what these things even were. Letting his hand out, the Sleeping Lion materialized in his grasp. It didn?t matter. He didn?t even have a past anyways ? he didn?t even exist.

The creatures leaped. Ferin accepted his fate. It was over for him. The gods of death had claimed another victim.

That is, if a certain grin had not instantly materialized in front of Ferin.

?You need some help, yes??

?Who the hell are you??

?How rude! Ah well, all is forgiven!? And soon, a head materialized to compliment the grin ? that of a purplish cat. Soon, the rest of the cat?s body was formed, breaking all rules of science as it floated in mid air. ?I said I was never late, and look! I was right.?

"So dark is this place, so I'll brighten things up!" he grinned. With a snap of his 'fingers', a large flame engulfed the approaching white creatures. They squirmed for a moment before disappearing in a white mist, leaving the Cheshire Cat floating as he always did in front of the bewildered boy.

"W-Who... Who are you? ... Where did you come from? How'd you do that? And what were those things, anyway?" the boy asked, taking a deep breath after spitting out all his questions.

"Remarkable, remarkable," the cat muttered, spinning around the boy. He held onto his bleeding arm, wondering why the cat was ignoring him... and why it was such a strange color. "Though similar... You aren't him, I'm afraid."

"Who is he?"

"Not you."

"I know, you already said that," the boy spat, "But who is it I'm not? ... Wait. I'm confused." The cat giggled as his tail started to fade away. The boy, though he knew little about this strange cat, understood that he was leaving him. But he had many questions that needed answers, and also a wound that needed aid.

"Wait a second!"

"Hmm?" that cat asked as he paused his departure. "But go I must! You see, he isn't here, so he must be there, so I must find where this there is."

"You're a weird cat, you know that? But..." He paused, gritting his teeth. "Can you help me?"

"I s'pose. Even with a small detour, I won't be late," he trailed off, though he continued to fade. The boy was about to protest when he noticed a sudden weight on his head. Looking up, he saw the cat's tail. He was handstanding on his head. "Oh, what a mess, what a mess. Best clean it up before something stains."

"What mess? What are you talking about?"

A wag of his pink and purple striped tail and the boy felt the pain in his arm subside and he looked to see it was perfectly fine.

"How did you...?"

"A true wizard," the cat hummed.

"Well, at least tell me who you are if you're going to be hitching a ride on my head," he sighed as he started walking towards the alleyway's exit.

"The Cheshire Cat needs no introduction, my dear Ferin."

"I'll just call you 'Cat', then... Hold up, I never told you my name! How-" he began. But he stopped himself, realizing that this mysterious cat probably knew more about him than he did himself. All his riddles and talk of this 'him' and 'being late' were confusing, but he had saved him from the creatures and healed up his arm, so he was greatful. He silently walked down the street, watching the cat float around him while muttering about how many questions he had been asking.

"So curious, aren't you? There is a time for answers," he grinned widely. "All in good time, then."

"Riku! Wake up, Riku... Sora, he's not waking up!" Kairi cried, still desperately clinging to her friend's unconscious body. As she wiped away some more of the tears falling down his checks, Sora clenched his teeth in frustration before whipping his head back around.

"What did you do to him, Xemnas?!" Sora shouted angrily.

"The boy is simply enjoying memories past," he chuckled, glancing over at the dreaming teen.

"We won't let you take him!" Kairi growled. Kairi's keyblade materialized in her hand as she clenched her fist, but she threw it aside. She wanted to fight, but she knew if she left Riku's side, he'd be taken easily. "Please Riku... Snap out of it."

"Yes... so it is you... what was your name again? ...Ansem?"

Riku's mind had over-flooded with dark memories about his wrong choices... about his greed for more power... something that he wanted to be forgiven for.. but by whom? All he could do was watch as his past flew by his eyes, trying to stop it... but his throat in a dry rasp. He was stronger than this, way stronger.... but why couldn't he just snap out of it? "Please Riku... snap out of it..." said a soft yet kind voice, helping him remember that this was all of the past, it wasn't going to happen again... not without a fight.

His body jolted upright, helping him wake from his horrible nightmare and mild coma. He softly rubbed his forhead with his right hand, looking to his side to see a happy Kairi lightly hugging him. "Riku...!" Kairi responded, "You had me worried there..."

He smiled at her handsomely yet kindly, wiping away the rest of his tears that were flowing. "Yeah, I'm sorry," he finally replied, slowly standing up, "... I was... settling things with my past memories." He then lifted his hand to help Kairi onto her feet and turned towards the ocean, watching Sora trying to fight off Xemnas with all his might.

"We won't let you take him!" Sora yelled at the top of his lungs, swinging his Keyblade downwards towards Xemnas... only to be blocked easily, causing the brown haired boy to recoil backwards. Sora stood upright, growling as he continued to serve more blows.

"It is futile, young fool," Xemnas replied, still easily blocking all of Sora's blows, "I will take him back... no matter what you or anyone else tries to do." He then lifted his blade over his head and swung it down on Sora's left shoulder, causing him to fall down on his hands and knees, clutching it tightly.
Suddenly... Riku stepped forward, lifting his hand and summoning Way To Dawn with silver sparkles. He nodded to Sora, saying that he could handle it now, and then looked back at Xemnas with a scowl on his face. "Welcome back," Xemnas chuckled, his hands on his hips, "You know I won't let you leave to cry again."

Riku's face still flittered with anger, but he then smirked... knowing that this was the last time they would ever see Xemnas again. "It's all over."

And with that, Riku started sprinting towards the smirking Nobody, his right arm bent upwards in front of his face tightly gripping his Keyblade, shouting as if he was roaring like a lion ready to pounce on his prey.

~*~
OoC: Huzzah... I edited it, but I'll post the fight of Xemnas and Riku in my next post. Everyone... this thing is going damn well.. I are so happy.

Oh yeah, and after Riku defeats Xemnas, whoever is on the Destiny Islands will be transported to Twilgith Town, okay?

"Don't disappoint me, I want a great fight"

Ashley grinned, as a sinister flare blazed in his eyes. He crouched, and thrust Fandango in the earth. His side stung horribly due to the blows he had received.

?Let?s take this up a notch shall we?? He chuckled.

Ashley held his cloak tightly, tore it off his body, and used it to wipe the blood off his mouth. He then leaned down, and pulled his curved blade out of the ground.

?You are too rash boy, you may have increased your strength, but I can see the side effect of your action in your sluggish movement?Behold the break art: Vile scars?

He lifted Fandango, and held it horizontally before him. His lips started to utter bizarre and incoherent words. A gust of wind blew through followed by a faint wave of creeping mist. Ashley was sending intense bursts of darkness into the sword; screechy screams, and unearthly howls were heard echoing about. The darkness crawled upon the blade, and caressed it with clawed monstrous fingers, until it was completely jet black.

The dark mist then started to elevate, and twirl about the sword. Horrid scars started to surface on Ashley?s skin; on his face, arms, legs, chest, and back. As Ashley raised the volume of his voice, the mist got darker, and heavier. The scars also began to multiply, grow larger, and spread on his body.

Alexander sensed that something bad was going to happen, he tried to stop Ashley, but his slow movement prevented him from reaching his enemy in time.

Ashley finally swung his sword a few times in a ceremonial manner; tightly binding the mist about the blade, until it almost snapped from the tension.

?Never mess with a risk breaker? He said.

He then swiftly hurled the black mist at Alexander. As it traveled through the air, it started to alter its shape until it finally took the form of a massive cloud like swarm of dark ravens. Their eyes burned with a hellish crimson flame, and their high pitched shriek deafened and resonated violently.

The ravens smothered Alexander, as they cut, and hacked frantically with beak and talon. The boy tried to rid himself of this torment by swinging his key blade at them, but it only sheared through thin air, for these monstrosities were fabricated out of mist.

Almost every part of Alexander?s body suffered from a wound, or gash. His blood, started to soak his clothes, and drip on the ground. Every part of his body screamed with pain, and anguish. He felt like he was drowning in hell, then suddenly the ravens flew away into the night, and vanished. The boy was wavering, and his power was waning.

?This is somewhat?ARRGHH!? Before he could finish the sentence, Alexander tottered back, clutching at his chest.

The poison was taking effect; his veins felt like they were on fire, and his chest seemed to be caving in, and crushing his internal organs. His vision started to get hazy, and distorted. Alexander?s eyes were bloodshot, and his neck knotted with veins.

?Had enough?? Ashley asked calmly, the scars on his body were slowly fading away.

?What?have? you? done? to me?? Alexander struggled to speak.

?It will fade away?I didn?t want to kill you?I hope you?re enjoying it though? Ashley said.

?However this is not over yet, you said that you did not want me to hold back, so I won?t?? Ashley knelt, and closed his eyes. He was gathering strength for yet another one of his break arts.

?Feed your hunger fandango?Behold the rending gale?

A loud twinkle was heard. Several waves of light traveled through the blade. Fandango then started to gleam vibrantly, and pulse with raw energy channeled into it by Ashley. He took in a deep breath as the sword?s hilt began to quiver in his fist. The weapon was set ablaze with a blinding light. The features of the blade could not be seen anymore; it looked like a raging flare burning in his hand. The weapon had absorbed all that it can of energy.

?Eat this?? Ashley murmured.

He then got up, swayed back, and then spun abruptly while slashing with his sword; sending a blindingly bright stream of energy towards his enemy at a very high speed. It roared as it cut through the air.

?No!? Alexander exclaimed, and tried to block the attack with his key blade, but he was too week to do so. The wild energy current blew him away; an explosive sound was heard upon contact.

Alexander was brutally flung away; snapping a tree in half as he was slammed against it. Blood spattered everywhere. He survived this devastating attack though, even if barely. Ashley approached his fallen opponent slowly. Alexander was broken, he moaned with agony, and breathed pain in and out.

?Best two out of three?? The risk breaker asked, with a searing lash of sarcasm in his tone of voice.

?You should not have underestimated me?? he continued.

Before Riku had stepped in Sora and Seth were trying to fend off Xemnas. In the process Seth had been injured two,and almost three times. On th ebeach again he was recalling the memories.

It all started when Sora attacked Xemnas and Seth jumped over him trying to attack but was thrown back. Sora was then thrown back and Seth attacked again he did three attacks and all of them were parries going for a fourth he spun and was cut across the thigh.

On his way down Xemnas went for a fatal attack at his stomach, but only ended up cutting his shirt. As he hit the sand Xemnas brought another attack at him, he had just enough time to block it. Xemnas hit his hand with the side of his Keyblade. Yelling with pain the Keyblade flew from his hands.

Xemnas brought another one down. Seth rolled as the attack came down but didn't make it in time for his shoulder was cut open. Just as this happened Riku stood back up.
Vivi skipped along the streets of Twilight Town happily, playing with his brand new keyblade, Magera. Although he didn't actually know it was a keyblade, he liked it nonetheless. It seemed to hold great mysterious power, much like himself. He spun it around a little bit and then placed it on the hilt he had designed for it.

Waddling towards the beach, Vivi noticed a flash of white in the corner of his eye. He quickly turned his head only to find out nothing was there. He slowly walked closer towards the shore, being very cautious.

Sure enough, 10 seconds later a nobody attacked. There was only one, but of course Vivi had never faught one before so it still seemed like a lot. The nobody struck out with it's hand. Quickly ducking down to the ground to dodge, Vivi jabbed Magera in the air towards the nobody and a spew of flames shot from the bulb. They wrapped themselves around the nobody and he came crumbling down.

"Phew." Vivi sighed. Suddenly, a few more Nobodies appeared, and evern more once again. Vivi turned around to run, only to find himself surrounded. He wiped his forehead and looked around. There was nowhere he could even try to escape from.

"Help!" he yelled, hoping someone would hear.

OoC: Huzzah!! I am back from my trips and dead tired. *collapses* @.@ By the way, Asim and Acheron, your fight is kick ass, yo... gangsta style. I luffs it. :D

~*~

It was time for Riku to face his past and live up to it... by defeating the one person that helped the darkness grow deep inside him. It was Xemnas' fault that he couldn't find his way out, that he had created the Organization and the Nobodies and that he had to fight Roxas to find out why he was like Sora. Everything that Riku could think of was all Xemnas' fault... him and no one else's. And now was the time to defeat him once and for all to show that the Shadow and Darkness would never win, even though it looked as if it had swallowed everything whole.

Riku sprinted faster than what he had ever ran before, his right arm bent over his face wielding Way To Dawn ready to swing and yelling at the top of his lungs, his whole force melted inside his anger. As he finally got into arms length, he jumped up towards Xemnas and swung his Keyblade in the direction of his head as his target... still yelling like a strong lion.

All Xemnas did was look up at the striking Riku, smiling and laughing with a sinister feeling to it as if it was gouging everyone's stomach. "Exactly what I want from you, dear pawn," he said in hearing length. But before he finished his sentence, he winked at the oncoming Riku and dissapeared in the blink of an eye, causing Riku to slice down onto the gritty sand and landing on his left hand and knees in a small sandy fog. Before Riku could turn around, Xemnas kicked his side and sent him tumbling towards the ocean, coughing up salty blue water. He then teleported again towards the fallen teen, picking up his long silver hair and pulling it to his level roughly, causing pain surging through Riku's head. "...all this rage and anger... aim it at me because that's exactly how I'm going to bring you back with me." He then pulled on Riku's hair a little bit longer before he threw him back towards the water.

The silver haired teen slowly got back up on his hands and knees, thinking of what to do or say. "How the hell am I supposed to beat him?!" he loudly thought to himself, gripping the sand with his hands, allowing it to trickle through his fingers, "...all he does is mock me and when he says that I should strike at him with my anger..." He paused and stood silent for a second... what would he do? What could he do? After all... fighting is part of anger... was this part of Xemnas' plan to bring him back to the darkness? He thought for awhile and stood back up, facing his back towards everyone and hanging his head low.

Xemnas crossed his arms and tilted his head upward slightly. "So, giving up this little 'savior' gig and coming back with me?"

Sora, Kairi and the new boy who was named Seth looked at Riku, wanting to know what he was going to say.

"Maybe... I don't like to feel that I need to fight to protect every little thing..." Riku finally replied.

"Riku! No! Wait!" Sora yelled, reaching his hand towards his best friend whilest his face was in sadness. Riku couldn't do this... no... he changed.. he's not like this anymore...

"Wait a minute, Sora..." Seth had replied. Both Kairi and Sora looked at him in surprise, wondering how he would know Riku when he barely even knows him. "I may not know Riku that well," he continued, "... but I know he's not that stupid... you've just got to trust him."

Everyone continued to look at Riku, who slowly turned to face everyone with his bright emerald eyes glowing in the dim light. Through the scilence, Xemnas was the first to speak, slowly walking towards him. "Have you finally come to your senses?" He stopped right in front of Riku, raising his right hand towards him and opening his palm.

Riku looked at it for awhile and slowly looked back up at Xemnas, then raising his hand slowly towards his. Whilest Xemnas was smiling and Sora trying to stop him, Riku looked up at the stars and then back at Xemnas, winking. "Idiot.. always believing everything you see...."

"What?!" Xemnas shouted, anger flittered over his face and raising his weapon towards Riku... but then stopped, his face in anguish. He slowly turned his head around, seeing another Riku behind him stabbing his back with Way To Dawn. The Riku in front of him dissapeared with glittery silver sparkles... obviously a doppleganger. He then looked at Riku, slowly dissapearing with black smoke and trying to speak with his last breath... "Wh...why would you be.. betray me?"

Riku looked at him sternly yet his face was filled with mercy. "Because... because I've changed... and I don't need to become lost in your... and even my greed for power." And with that, Xemnas' body dissapeared within black smoke... floating up towards the dark midnight sky whilest everyone looked up at it, especially Riku.

Everyone ran over to him, hugging him and talking while he tried to smile... yet he still felt pain for that Nobody. Is this all the world is? Just... just spinning with pain and fighting? This lingered in Riku's mind... was he better than the Organization?

Dear Riku... it is time for you to see that you are fighting to save the world...

Everyone looked around, wondering where the voice was coming from. "Who.. who's there?!" Riku yelled, wielding his Keyblade in front of his face.

It is I... The One who will lead you on the right path... It is time to see what you will be protecting...

And then suddenly... a bright light appeared before them, causing everyone to shield their eyes from going blind. As soon as they saw the light, their eyes became heavy... falling into a deep sleep. But before Riku fell asleep, he said, "Am.. am I doing the right thing?" And then he heard...

You are.... and never lose sight of what is precious to you...

And then.. Riku fell into sleep... wondering what would happen to him and everyone else....

The Sleeping Lion and the One Winged Angel spiraled through the air, the metal relics stained violet with the ooze of the silver creatures. The monsters scowled at him whenever he neared, but were certainly not afraid to attack him when in groups. But when one of the monsters was alone, it would away in fright. The silver monsters excelled in group combat, it would seem, but alone they were like ants against Ferin?s keyblades.

The dance of death that Ferin performed was both barbaric and unique at the same time, with the teen hacking away at the monsters in an attempt to frighten the surrounding creatures. Ferin was not exactly used to the weight of the weapons, and he would occasionally stumble, and he would have to be quick to improvise as the creatures assaulted him.

The oddity of a cat, meanwhile would just observe the battle from any mailbox, lamppost and rooftop it could find. Occasionally, it would snap its fingers and the brilliant light that would result would consume the monsters, or sometimes heal Ferin. But most of the time the cat was just being what it was best at ? an observer.

At the moment, the pair was caught in an open square, the Sleeping Lion plunging into the back of a retreating monster, pinning it to the cement. Ferin released the weapon, and the creature dissipated into a black cloud.

The cat crawled onto Ferin?s head. ?We have that way, this way, and every other which way that one could go! It is time we headed for the plaza, mister red hair.?

?This names Ferin, cat!? Ferin was irritated that even though this mysterious cat knew his name, he referred to call him ?red? or ?mister red hair?, or anything else along those lines.

?Now now Red, we all have a name we call somebody. You think you are Ferin, and I think you are Red. It?s all fair. Now, to the plaza!? Sighing in defeat, Ferin decided to follow the cat?s advice and head towards the plaza. On the way there, they encountered none of the creatures. It was as if they all vanished the moment they decided to head for the plaza. Ferin was inclined to ask the cat, who was on the way there resting peacefully atop Ferin?s head, its opinion. In the end Ferin decided against it ? its answer would probably just confuse him more.

When they arrived, they heard the ecstatic cry of ?Help!? bounce off of the cement walls. Without hesitating, Ferin dashed off, and the cat just held on for dear life. They found a horde of the creatures surrounding a little guy in what looked like a wizard?s hat. Deciding to start the battle with a smash, Ferin practicly tackled the enemies while they were preoccupied. The tactic worked, and those that didn?t go flying and dissipated on impact were chopped down by the keyblades.

?You allright, man?? Ferin said between heavy heaves of breaths.

?I-I guess so.?
The little guy acted like he had never seen Ferin before, but the teen recalled the shy character in his memories. ?Hey, Vivi! Where?s Seifer? And Fuu and Rai??

?Uh..uh..how do you know us??

Ferin was shocked by Vivi?s naïve attitude. ?Vivi, don?t ya remember me? Oh?yeah?I forgot?no one remembers me?? Vivi just looked at the mysterious figure, confused by what he was saying.

Suddenly, one of the walls came crashing down and a hulking beast wielding a shield that Ferin could of sworn was alive revealed itself. ?Hey Vivi-who-dosen?t-remember-me, can you fight??

?Huh??

?Good! Let?s roll!?

Vivi was just so confused.

OOC: OK, White, lets try to make this guy as tough as he looks, hmmm? Like how a mini boss battle would be played.

"So... this Or?ganization... Where do I sign up again?"

Ashley infuriated by the boy?s outrageous assault was starting to calm down. He took a deep breath, as he slightly touched his bleeding mouth. At first he wanted to get up and kill the boy where he lied, but then he just smiled.

?You have quite a strange sense of humor, I like that?I will be your guide young one?? He said, as he got up.

Ashley sheathed his blade in its leather scabbard which hanged loosely at his side, and sat on the fallen half of the severed tree.

?I do not know that much about this strange world, but I will tell you what I do know?It all started when a man called Ansem the wise started to execute experiments to discover the secrets, and mysteries of the heart. The assistants and Ansem built an underground facility in Radiant Garden where they conducted experiments with the heart, using themselves as test subjects, however after speaking with King Mickey the ruler of these realms, Ansem saw the immorality of what he was doing and ceased his involvement. The assistants and their leader, Xehanort, did not share his moral compunction and continued their experiments??

?This eventually led to the making of nobody versions of the assistants. A Nobody is the remaining body and soul of a being whose heart has become a heartless, the heartless being wayward hearts corrupted by darkness. The first six members of Organization XIII are Nobodies of assistants of Ansem the Wise in his experiments with the heart. Xemnas, the Nobody of Xehanort, became the "Superior" and founded Organization XIII in order to learn about the secrets of the heart and to recover their hearts and become complete beings again??

?To that end, they deliberately sent heartless into various realms of this world with the expectation of the people in league with the light killing them, and thus releasing the hearts inside the creatures, which then bonded with their man made version of Kingdom Hearts, which is the source of all hearts; hearts are put in individuals, which then return back to Kingdom Hearts when individuals die or their Heartless are defeated. This version was called the "heart of all worlds" located in a place known as ?The World That Never Was?, granting more usable power for the Organization. To further that goal, ?The Castle That Never Was? was built in The ?World That Never Was? to serve as a headquarters?? He continued??

?I think many of the original members are now dead?Killed by someone called Sora?I?ve only seen three members, one is Xemnas who is also the person that summoned me here, and the other two I fought and almost killed, but they kept their hoods on all the time, and I did not catch their names?? Ashley sighed.

?So what do you think?? He asked.

Alexander was still suffering from the ailments of the venom, but he was recovering, and was a bit better.

?This seems interesting?I feel that I would very much like to join this organization?I want to fight?I want to face strong adversaries? He replied.

?And so you shall? You have passed my test Alexander, and thus I will fulfill my promise ?My name is Ashley Riot?Or should it say was my name?? Ashley said, and then paused for a moment or two.

?I was not interested in this organization at first, but now I think that I have become a true member?I am number XIV?I hereby shed my old name and take up the one I was given by the organization?I am Yexlash The Enigmatic Vagrant?? He uttered.

?And now my friend I shall give you your new name? You are number XV Exandrale The Valiant Rogue? He continued.

?I am dying? Xemnas?s voice suddenly resonated in Ashley?s head. He quickly sprang to his feet.

?What is it?? Exandrale asked.

?I fear that Xemnas has been defeated? We must hurry to the beach?Come on quickly?? Yexlash calmly urged, as he helped the boy up.

Sora was the first to run forward and envelop his best friend in an embrace after he defeated Xemnas, it was a great feat, he grinned knowing that he shouldn't have doubted Riku.

They all heard a disembodied voice and searched for the source right before sharp, blinding light appeared. Sora squeezed his eyes shut and covered them with his hands, but they had all seen it at first, and that was enough, causing everyone to fall into a deep sleep. Sora felt his eyelids drooping and couldn't fight the sleepiness that was enveloping his brain. He let out a yawn and fell backwards, hitting the sand bank, the keyblade in his grip disappearing.

~*~

Sora groaned, he felt the ground he was lying on, it wasn't right. He remembered falling on the sand and going to sleep, but the ground he was on, was hard. Like....pavement. He sat up and opened his eyes. It was pavement. He looked around and realised exactly where he was, he was in Twilight Town! Sora saw Riku, Kairi and Seth still asleep, with blood still flowing from Seth's shoulder gash. He knelt down beside his friends, shaking Riku and Kairi before carefully waking Seth.

Riku and Kairi got up and took a look around the area. Seth sat on the ground, holding his injured shoulder.

"Twilight Town? Why are we here? And how did we get here?" Riku asked.

"I don't know guys. I'm thinking it had to do with the sleep and that bright light." Kairi thought aloud.

Sora tapped his chin and nodded, taking in the information. Then he remembered Seth.

"Kairi! Can you heal him?" he said, kneeling beside their new friend.

"Oh, yeah! Of course, sorry...Seth was it?"

He nodded and watched Kairi wearily as she kneeled beside him too. Sora gave him a reassuring pat on the back as Kairi stretched out her left hand, having it centimetres from the wound.

"Curaga." she spoke lightly.

A healthy green glow surrounded the wound and closed it up in a matter of seconds, healing other wounded parts of his body too. He got up with a jump, feeling much better.

"Thanks a lot, Kairi!"

"That's ok. But don't stress it too much, it was a deep wound and for a couple of days it may still be tender." she smiled, being helped up by Sora.

"So, what should we do?" Sora questioned.

"How about we wander around town and try to gather information, or find others. Then we'll see where we go from there." Riku reasoned.

The group agreed since there was nothing else to do and they weren't sure why they had been transported to Twilight Town of all places. They set off down the pavement, hoping to get some clues as to what it was they were supposed to be doing.
