There was time when magic was a taboo, a fabrication of fantasy; a way for heretics to dabble into the hells and writers to spin grand stories of a more adventurous age. But times have changed, and with it, the setting of the great play. Magic is now as common as gears of an automobile. Contained within crystals called the magi, magic can be used as something as simple as lighting a stove to inflicting a plague on an unsuspecting populous. The common man and woman have forgotten the warnings of the past. Now there is only the future. And in this future, countries are ruled by corporations, who in turn are commanded by their financers. And those who supply these corporations with their economic fuel are constantly black mailed by individuals who lust for power. This new setting, this new world, is a paradox to itself. Everyone and no one are ruled by everybody and nobody. Despite the easy access of magic, this source is still an enigma. So much power, so much potential lies in the magi. Thus, select academies have been formed to teach the secrets of the crystals. The academies have individuals known as the Seekers, and these men and women have been trained to seek out the youngest of children that have a natural affiliation with magic. With them being no older than six, these young boys and girls are separated from their parents, by order of the government, to become the greatest in soldiers and academics. There are nine such academies, the greatest among them being the Argo Arx Arcanum Academy. Situated between the east and western continent, on the island of Gabi, the Argo Arx Arcanum is owned by no country or corporation. It runs completely off of itself, and is loyal to no side, its students acting as mercenaries for their educator. This story is of twelve students from this academy, and they will be headed into a fantastic adventure that none of them had ever expected. Made up of mostly grasslands and plains, the Eastern Continent holds only two of the Corporations. A great deal of the countries strive for agricultural excellence, instead of political superiority. Notable items: * Valgrad - the home of the most powerful Corporation, MENRA. Located in the center of the continent, surrounded by a black swamp. Connected to the rest of the continent by the revolutionary Highway. Each and every town and city is connected to Valgrad. * Ruhig ? A fishing port north of Valgrad. * The Highway ? The largest interstate highway in the world, The Highway connects the entire Eastern continent. * Pheat ? A port city/fortress on the western side of the continent. It is home to the giant Makon Gun, a massive artillery cannon that can shoot up to a hundred yards away and decimate any large battleship with relative ease. [b]The Western Continent[/b] ? Desserts and mountains as well as dense forests dot the landscape of the Western Continent. Home to the vast majority of the Corporations, the Western Continent is more spiritual in nature. Many secrets and ancient treasures rest within this architectural wilderness. Notable Items: * Maravilliso Playa ? A popular, albeit expensive, beach resort off of the eastern coast. * Balimb ? A city that rests within the center of the continent. *The Tomb of the Lost Kings ? An ancient tomb full of monsters, spirits, but most important of all, treasure and a library that is said to hold the answers of all questions. Too bad it?s also said to have a team of minotaurs that slaughter anyone that enters. *New Well City ? The largest metropolis in the world, NW City is home to the vast majority of the Corporations. *Verkun City ? The capitol of the country of Archadia. *D-District Cell ? A desert district prison owned by Archadia that is infamous for its ruthlessness and political prisoners. * The Golden Rod Casino ? A famous that is infamous for its constant gambling-caused fights and gang skirmishes, but applauded for its other wise safe and enjoyable amusement park. [b][u]Nations[/b][/u] [b]The Eastern Continent[/b] Aruvasan? A country that has held the largest amount of land for ages, if only because it is a country of snow, where it is ?common? for the temperature to drop below 10° in the afternoon. It is ruled by their Fuhrer, Dmitry Agastov. Sarle ? A country known for its politicians and fighters of the peace. It is ruled by their president, Amane Sele. Imbecali ? A country known for its philosophers, artistic revolutionaries and proud armies in history?s past. It is led by their monarch, Liege Giuseppe Garibaldi. He is backed by a small parliament. Both the Liege and the parliament hold equal power. Dalim ? A small country south of Aruvasan that is also it?s rival. They are infamous for their sniper?s precision. A parliament that is reelected every other year runs this country. Tastavore ? A small country that was annexed by Imbecali some years ago. Dozens of minor rebel groups that usually number no less than ten or so members are crusading against Imbecali with poor results. Tastavore is a forest nation, famous for its finely crafted wooden furniture. [b]The Western Continent[/b] Archadia ? A country currently ruled by a dictator in name only, Alvose Stavan is extremely popular with the populous, and is famous for his actions of peace no matter the cost, on both the diplomatic table and on the field of war. He also refuses to participate in any ?dark activities? with the Corporations. Madaral?sol ? A small country located on the red plains, they are very spiritual in nature, believing in a river of spirits that powers the world. It would be more accurate to say that Madarl?sol is a large group of organized tribes than a single government. Amaracana ? One of the superpowers of the world, Amaracana is on friendly terms with most of the other nations. Even though anyone can use the magi crystals ? the source of magic in the world ? only those educated on the crystals can truly unlock their full potential. For example, any housewife can use a water-elemental magi to sprinkle her flowers, but only an experienced caster can start a small flood. [b]Elemental Magic[/b] ? The main form of offensive magic, as well as magic that are often used in the house, the elements branch off into fire, ice, lighting, water, air, and earth. When someone specializes in Elemental Magic, they also usually specialize in a certain element. Elemental magic-wise, jacks of all trades don?t survive very long on the battle field. [b]Support Magic[/b] ? Any magic that is used to heal, cure, or other wise help someone in need without necessary using force. Doctors and medics usually specialize in this class of magic. [b]Blue Magic[/b] ? There are some magic spells that no human can ever learn on their own without outside aid. Those specializing in Blue Magic are nicknamed imposters ? they use magic to steal magic, and thus, learn magic that no human could otherwise learn. It is a dangerous magic school to follow, since most of these spells require the user get struck by that specified magic in order to attempt to steal it. Thus, as a precaution, most Blue Magic users minor in support magic. [b]Summoning Magic[/b] ? The most mysterious of the magics, the summoners deal into the spirits of the world, and summon them for aid through objects who sync with the ?spiritual realm?. The weakest ones are man made, while the greater summoning objects are usually ancient relics carved with runes that no one else can decipher. Summoners are useful on both the battlefield and at home, since the summoned spirits lend word of advice if they trust the summoner. [b]Black Magic[/b] ? Of all the classes of magic, Black Magic is the most dreaded. Delving into curses and hexes, all Black Magic casters must be registered and take specialized test in order to retrieve a license. Black Magic casters are the only type of casters that require such strict standards. The cheerful naïve is always up for a fun time, always doing everything with a smile. Alas, she is somewhat naïve of the surroundings around her, saying things that you would not expect someone would say, but that is just her way. [b][strike]The fiery red head[/strike][/b] ? The fiery red head sports a temper like no other! When she gets on her bad side, be sure to avoid her at all costs. She is an aggressive person as well, but deep inside that hot exterior there rests a longing for companionship. Always getting into trouble, the aspiring adventurer wants nothing more than to get out of the academy and go on a grand adventure where he will be remembered for ages! He has a tendency to try to do the good things, but he is somewhat of a prankster as well, and is childish only to those he wants to think is childish. [b][strike]The sarcastic[/strike][/b] ? Always cracking a joke, and constantly leaping before thinking, the sarcastic makes as many friends as he does enemies, with his tongue often getting him into trouble. [b][strike]The loner[/strike][/b] ? The loner wants to be alone for the rest of his life. He suffered a great tragedy before he came, and he never wants to be hurt again. So, he has chosen not to become friends with anyone. After all, even the greatest of friends will die, so why accept the pain? He is an excellent fighter, and despite his cold attitude, is a cunning leader, although he makes mistakes under pressure. [b][strike]The foolish courageous[/strike][/b] ? The foolish courageous has a heart of gold, the courage of the thousand man, the ability within himself to do great, remarkable things?but he lacks the motivation to do anything with his life. He is wasted energy, wasting his free time, not preparing nor caring for his future. [b]The young ambition[/b] ? The young ambition has the desire to do great and wondrous things, but the dream often overrides her common sense and she tends to leap before she starts thinking about any possible bad consequences. [b]The depressed worker[/b] ? The depressed is a hard worker. He constantly studies, constantly practices his talents, and is constantly praised by his fellow students and teachers constantly for his good work ethic. Alas, the depressed worker is never satisfied with anything that he accomplishes. Everything he succeeds at does not meet his high standards. [b]The over hyper man[/b] ? The over hyper man is exactly as his name says he is ? he moves way too much for his own good. If he isn?t talking at the speed of sound, he?s using thin air as a punching bag. He?s nice enough, but for those who don?t understand him (or isn?t used to him?), he gets on their nerves very quickly. [b][strike]The playboy[/strike][/b] ? Always after the ladies, the playboy is just often jeered just as much as he is wooed by the opposite sex. Sporting the ?perfect body?, even those that hate him usually look at his arse at least once a week. Even though he drops girls like flies, deep down inside, he really, truthfully, would love to get married to a woman who understands him. [strike][b]The pained loner[/b][/strike] ? Always being hurt by one series of events after another, the pained loner wants to keep to himself, so that he won?t risk being pained any longer. He will, however, accept friendship eagerly, which contrasts him from the loner, who will shove off friendship of any kind. [b][strike]The intellegent prodigy[/strike][/b] - A strategic genius whose strongest weapons are his knowledge and skills for analysis. His mindset however often causes him to be arrogant as well as confident. He can be bossy and condecending at times, but never harbors any real ill will towards those he trusts and likes. She uses him for attacking, defence, or for fast transportation. When attacking, his greatest attack releases a series of searing hot fireballs on the enemies. [I][B]Tornado:[/B][/I] Sakura points down with her right pointer finger and starts swirling it, focussing her magic outwards as a tornado builds up in front of her. When she's ready she holds her hands out in front of her with thumbs touching at the tips and the spiral of wind races forward. It is capable of causing great damage to enemies on it's own, or can be used as a trapping device, and to use to lift people into the air. Sometimes she uses it to launch herself into the air. [B]Personality:[/B] If you asked someone to describe Sakura in a few words, you would mostly always find the words; kind, patient, cool, calm and collected being mentioned, because that is pretty much Sakura's personality in a tiny little nutshell. She's one of the more popular students in the school, with her good looks, high grades, and patient personality. Sakura enjoys that she emits the feeling that people can approach her easily without being afraid because she's kind and always willing to help people. Since no one's perfect, every so often she has a period where she is quite cranky, these times are usually when she's very tired after a long day and when people are consistently bugging her about things. She's been known to blow a fuse, and at times it makes her literally sick, making her come down with a fever for a number of days where her senses are sensitive and she's very irritable during that time. She is most often sought out for her wise decision making, unmatched by others. Sometimes it may take some deliberation before she reaches a conclusion, but when she does, it is 90% the right choice. This also comes in handy during class where teachers often like to test the students by having them make a quick and rational decision while facing a rapidly oncoming peril, where the wrong decision could cost them their life. In hot-headed moments and fights, Sakura is often one to step in with her calm reasoning, acting as the peacekeeper since she herself dislikes arguing and loud noises. But even though she usually likes to settle things with words, she isn't a delicate flower as everyone knows, wielding the gunblade with unadulterated power. She chose the weapon because of her mixed skills, loving blade arts, yet having an exellent shot, so the weapon obvious for her to choose was a hybrid of the two; the Gunblade. The one she carries with her is custom made for her only, the grip is molded to how she holds it, and the trigger set to exactly how she likes it. [B]Physical Appearance:[/B] [URL=http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/1310/girls992fr9.jpg]Sakura[/URL] [B]Background:[/B] Sakura grew up in an abusive family; her mother was a warrior, and her father was a philosopher. For reasons unknown to her, her mother was always violent toward the family, and her parents were always at it, if not physically; verbally, and sometimes her mother even turned on her for no reason at all. Sakura would often close herself in a room and cover her ears, squeezing her eyes shut to try to drown out the fighting, imagining that she lived in a perfect family, the type of family she desperately wished for. Despite these circumstances, she grew up to be completely different. Sakura came to Argo Arx Arcanum at the age of 9, the transfer from her original school was suggested by her teachers there, saying they felt that was where she belonged, as all children were suggested by the teachers on where the students should go for further learning. Her parents had had mixed emotions from each, her mother wanted to get rid of her and just waved her off, while her father wanted her to leave so she could get away from her mother, but he would miss her tremendously, promising her that he'd remain strong against her mother. Sakura said her goodbyes to friends and family; most of her friends were envious but were still sad to see her go, and Sakura promised she'd find a way somehow to still keep in touch with her father, and she did, mostly through letters. When she arrived at the school they went through the basics of magic and weaponry where they learned everything; like which element it was they were connected to, and how to use all types of different weapons, from projectiles, to blades, to staffs. She discovered her chosen element was Air when she could conjure a small tornado in her palm. At 12, it was the year where the students were allowed to pick which weapon it was they really wanted to commit themselves to. And after a little deliberation, the choice fell on the Gunblade, the wonderful creation that was a cross between a gun and a sword. When she was 13, she chose the schools of magic she wanted to participate in. Her first choice was Summoning because it seemed very interesting to her, even though there was a warning saying that trying to summon when weak could get you killed, she wanted the thrill of it and put it as her major. For minor, like many people, she picked up Elemental Magic. She found Beginners Summoning quite easy, which just started with calling animals to aid from the surroundings, then summoning small creatures, and then greater summoning started in the later years. She found her partner in the dragon; Sideria. And from there it was history, Sakura practised whenever she had free time until it was easy for her. And now she's almost 18, and she feels that she's ready for the examinations, but only time and testing will tell...One day she hopes to return home and help her father in the fight against her mother, hoping that he will still be alive by that time.[/COLOR] [B]Edit7:[/B] Lucky Number 7! Her first accidental summon at the age of three was of a blue nekomata [ooc: two-tailed cat; seen in appearance pic] with a diamond on his forehead that had psychic powers. She named him Daiya, at the time not being able to fully pronounce diamond, and ever since, he has constantly been in her presence helping her with chores and protecting her from bullies. It is partly because of Daiya always being around her that she pays no attention to her surroundings, having never been in danger. Two months before her fifth birthday, a large fire mysteriously engulfed her village. Daiya was able to teleport Ayame to safety, but her parents and several friends were not so lucky. However, the memory has long been suppressed, leaving the only other survivor (Daiya) the knowledge of the event. It is most likely this event that subconsciously persuaded her to learn water magic. Daiya had taken her to one of the larger villages where several people wondered she had come from. When she explained that she didn?t know much other than her parents had gone missing, the leader of the village opted to take her in. However, he was out of the house most of the time, leaving her with his much less hospitable wife who also served as her tutor. It is because of that woman that Ayame is very hushed around teachers and other adults. He can only create up to two portals at a time, but works to enhance his ability to create more at a single time. -[color=slategray][b]Spirit of Fenghuang[/b][/color]: Summons a larger manifestation of the mythological chinese Fenghuang bird which allows for Kyosuke to travel by flight. It normally has little attacking power save for it's one method of attack, and is often used for recon work and transport whether it be himself, others, or objects. It is capable of defending itself by engulfing itself in protective blue fire which burns with the feeling of absolute zero from the outside, but is harmless to anything inside. With this Fenghuang is often used as a missile in battle if need be. This is Kyosuke's first summon spirit that he came into contact with and it has been loyal to him for years since his discovery of it's relic. [b]Personality[/b]: Kyosuke is a confident youth who prides himself on mastering whatever he sets out to learn. He is intellegent and knows it well, but can often be overcome with arrogance. He speaks down to others who cannot see his way or do not understand the things he understands and is always willing to showcase his talents. Behind it all he has a righteous heart and strives to learn as much as he can, see as many places as he can, and overall leave his mark on the world. Part of his desires for adventuring is to find more relics and discover new ones to enhance greatly his summoning abilities. He is handsome in appearence but pays it little mind in terms of how it affects those around him. His personality does make it hard to make friends, but those who are his friends understand him well enough to see past the negatives. Kyosuke is effective in battles with his magic but shines brightest when using his mind in conjunction. He works well with others and knows the importance of teamwork, but will often make plans giving him the bulk of the work since he believes he would always be the best candidate to carry out the tasks. Kyosuke takes losing very hard, it will cause him to doubt himself but will force himself to train and become even better at any costs. He finds it difficult to be considered a normal student along with the rest of the Argo Arx Arcanum because of the pristiege of his family name. It brings both positive and negative reactions from his piers, but mostly positive from his teachers. Most of the time he considers it to be a burden rather than a blessing, despite having pride in his name. Kyosuke is a citizen of Archadia where his father also lives, but has seen much of the western continent going along on trips with his father for political or diplomatic reasons. He has seen little of the Eastern Continent, and hopes that he will get many oppurtunities to explore it as well as more of the western continent as a member of the academy. He differs from his father drastically when it comes to his true aspirations. Kyosuke desires to travel and learn everything he can from as many places and about as many things in the world, where as his father lacks appreciation for adventuring out and considers it to be too dangerous. Kyosuke had found an aptitude toward the element of ice when he was 4 years old, and by his father's reccomendation elaborated on it. Being an appreciator of the elements his father also reccomended Kyosuke try to better himself in all elemental fields, but the mysterious call from the world of summoning magic intrigued the young son of the Orias family. Kyosuke studied it on his own and considered it magic for the intellectual mind because of the focus involved in using it, and therefore made it his major in magic school with Ice Elemental magic as his minor. Alex was separated from his family at a young age, and as a result, has developed a fear of social interaction, or in a more technical sense, an [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avoidant_personality_disorder][u]avoidant personality disorder[/u][/url]. He fears what people will judge him as a weak minded idiot who can?t do anything right. As much as he wants to be loved, he does not want to being hated for the chance of being loved. As a result, he is very shy, and will rarely speak his mind. He is, however, a violent person as well, his psyche acting like a tight bottle for his rage. Once or twice he got so angry with a fellow student that he proceeded to choking them. [b]Background[/b] - Alex was born into a family with no unusual heritage of the sort you would expect, since he is a student of the famed Argo Arx Arcanum Academy. His mother was a stay at home mom, and his father was a simple engineer. Their family wasn?t involved in any great wars (or if they were, it was not a big involvement?just another casualty statistic on a piece of paper), nor did they discover a new form of magic or technology or intelligent life (not that intelligent life has been discovered by now). They were just your simple average family living in everyday life. But even tragedies can come to good, average, folk. Alex?s mother died in a car crash when he was young, and when the Seekers came to suggest the Argo Arx Arcanum to Alex?s father, he practically gave Alex away. Ever since, Alex has been a loner, being shy and silent to pretty much everyone, not wanting to be hurt again. The foremost of his abilities is the Chaos Curse. This allows him several distinct advantages in a confrontation. The Curse hangs about him like a malaise, an aura of distinct evil. Lazarus can discharge the curse into a target he has physical contact with, or into his playing cards. The effect is varied depending on what Lazarus would like to manifest. It runs from sapping lifeforce, causing disease and infirmity, to blasting the target with shadowy energy. Only Lazarus knows the depths of it's powers. Only one target may be affected by the curse at a time, and once Lazarus has dismissed the effect, he must reapply it. [*]Black Guard - This ability makes manifest the deepest, greatest fear of a target who has struck Lazarus. The phantom behaves as if it were real, moving to strike the target down. Other combat participants see only a vage shadowy mass with no distinct edges or features. [/list] [b]Personality:[/b] A brooding dark individual, Lazarus makes friends slowly. Even those who he is friends with, he keeps at arms length. Due to the chaotic and strange nature of his magic, he has closed himself off from normal relationships. Lazarus is not a shy individual, but he prefers to let others learn from their mistakes, and so doesn't often offer an opinion in grop situations without being asked. Lazarus often breaks unifrom dress, electing to wear an amulet proclaiming him to be a student of the school. The sigil is contained within an ornate cross, and hangs at his throat. The sword he carries is an old family memento, the only thing of his heritage he has left. The edges are dull and useless, the surface kept gleaming by constant attention. [b]Background:[/b] Lazarus was born to parents of average descent. His father was a librarian, his mother, a businesswoman. His powers manifested at a young age. Children at schools shunned him, people were afraid to go near him at all. A standard test for magical aptitude revealed the truth. Lazarus was a black mage. His acceptance to the school of Argo Arx Arcanum was recieved with trepidation. It had been some time since the last student who majored in Black Magic. Several events within his life had an impact on Lazarus, including the death of his mother when his powers manifested, stealing her very soul. Lazarus has refrained from utilizing that aspect of his powers ever since that incident. His father withdrew from him, effectivley disowning him. Shunned by his family, Lazarus turned to his powers. Perhaps if someone had been there for him, things would have turned out differently, but now he strives to master control of his powers, and perhaps release the soul of his departed mother. Who knows what price darkness will exact for such a boon? A moment later, the small knife he'd been using had been plucked from his hand, and the handle waggled insultingly under his nose. "Mr. McCloud! Am I going to have to send you to -" Lazarus had been removing his heavy glove from his left hand. He placed his palm across his desk, and watched as his professor sagged with relief as his curse was discharged into the newly carved sigil. Without the curse manifested on his person, people could approach him much closer than normally. The teacher moved to manhandle the studet out of his chair by his ear, and the sigil flared brightly. A burst of shadowy flame lept from the sigil, causing the teacher to yelp in surprise and yank his hand back from the dark fire. Lazarus stood and moved around the teacher, who hadn't been fast enough to withdraw, and was now sucking on two affected fingers, attempting to restore their warmth and circulation. "I think I've passed your course, professor." Lazarus said, pulling his glove on and fastening it. He moved past the door, and recalled his curse, the sigil on the desk becoming an inert symbol. On the chalkboard was a near-perfect duplicate of the sigil now burned into the wood of the desk. The door tag announced the classroom as "Magical Symbols". When she closed her eyes really tight, Carrot could see Dad's figure, smiling gently down on her. Professor Burnheart was a nice, amicable man with fair hair and a big smile. He had tugged Carrot in every single night during the five years they had lived together, before she was sent away. Many people had the impression that since Carrot had grown up in a laboratory, her childhood must've been horrible. But they were wrong, because to Carrot, it had been the best time of her life so far. She had gotten everything she wanted and needed carried in front of her on a silver platter. She vaguely remembered an incident when she hadn't gotten what she wanted. After that, there had been smoke everywhere, and she had smelled something strange, like overcooked meat... Carrot didn't want to go any further on that train of thought, so she returned to the image of Dad. She hadn't seen him in an year. Dad had explained over the communicator that he had been caught up with work, that MENRA wasn't the most generous of employers when it came to freetime. Excuses, Carrot thought. Dad just didn't want to see her anymore. Maybe he had gotten another child, someone else to pamper and to hold dear. Another guinea pig, just like she had been. These thoughts riled her up so that she aimed her frustration to a fluffy teddybear sitting on her sidetable and burned it to ashes by uttering a few simple words. Then she went to sleep. But he also has somewhat of self-esteem issue, which is why he is more often than not sarcastic. Deep at his core, he just has an urge to be accepted as he is, but he gives that away in no way whatsoever to those he knows. He?s so determined to hide it, in fact, that to all but his closest of friends, he is often viewed as a jerk. In battle, Blaize?s demeanor is the same in battle, if not more so. He mercillesly mocks his opponents, and amusing yet insulting comments about their battle style are often incorporated. [B]Background-[/B] Blaize was born and raised in New Well City, being born into the home of a shrewd business man and to a overly cautious and slightly paranoid woman. Both claming to be his real parents but he still fails to see how they could be them. As few might know about Blaize is that he was artificially inseminated into his mother. And since childhood has believe he was less then human since his consummation was so unnatural by normal standards. So for most of his childhood he thought he could hide his insecurity and doubts by being the brash, cocky, sarcastic, and foolhardy man he is today. He grew up being a punk, always disobeying his parents orders and acting in a reckless way. His parents would always try to dawn him into fine clothing and try to get him to act with some respect towards what they wanted from him and what they believed was right. Blaize willingly accepted the things his parents had offered but still acted in his foolish manor, going out late at night and doing as he wished at a young age. But, his parents, and Blaize, would find that Blaize held an amazing ability to mimic and completely copy the move or ability of another easily. His father saw him as a potentially powerful bodyguard and spy, his mother on the other hand viewed him as a threat and let her paranoia get the better of her. So his mother and father fought over him, not in the loving way parents do. But in the fashion of him as a piece of meat being auctioned off to suit their needs. Both of his parents failed to notice the Seekers who had come into New Well City to claim Blaize for the Argo Arx Arcanum Academy. His father had refused when they had come for him, believing that they were taking his one ticket to ever lasting protection. While his mother was willing to hand him over to them without any questions, mostly because of her view of him and his potentially deadly powers. Blaize fought at first, thinking that his freedom would be restricted and that it was far from fitting in properly. But as the Seekers explained to him what they would do with him at the Argo Arx Arcanum Academy, he grew more intrigued and eagerly accepted their offer. Eager to increase his power and to fully unleash his fury. Doublehex Posted July 28, 2006 Author Share Posted July 28, 2006 Between Sin's character, Blaize Harbringer, and Sandy's character, Carrot Burnheart, I am caught between a rock and a hard place. Here I have two very well thought of characters, both who can have excellent character development and interaction. Blaize, the son of an ambitious father who believes that hes the cause of everyone's troubles! Oh, I wander how some of our more depressed (or happy) characters would try to talk to him about it. Then there's Carrot, the product of artifical insemination, who belives that her body is nothing more than empty flesh! In the end, I had to decide on Sandy's character, Carrot Burnheat for several reasons. One, I personally just like the way her character's turmoil is directly linked with her quote unquote 'unnatural birth'. Secondly, we are in dire need of more female characters, although that need played a minor role in my decision. Sin, you made an excellent character. If you mold his personality around another of the character templates, then you'd be in for sure (unless we get to out twelth acceptee by then...) Picture : LenGuardian is the one on the back of the picture. Diablo: the one in Final Fantasy VIII Heal: he can only heal small wounds. Personality - Like his template says, he mostly wants to wander off during classes and tries to convince others to join him in his adventures. Couragoues and daring, he wants to try something new that not everyone else knows about and wants to do. He dreams to be the greatest student in the academy. He is also outgoing and friendly especally in convincing others. In his negative side, he is mostly careless of his actions. Aggressive as always, he never thinks about the situation first, whichs frequenly results of him getting hurt. He also impatient and wants to get things done in an instant. In general, he is kind and protective to his friends and his spirits. He is always wandering to dangerous places without caring what the consequences are. Physical appearance (picture wanted) - Remixx Although he looks like a kid, he is 17 years old already. the one seen in the pic is his attire during leisure time because he feels comfortable wearing this and he has no money to buy new clothes. Background: Being borned out of a family of farmers, he vowed himself to raise the status of his family by being the best in the university. However his first years in the university were not that great. Being poor, he is often underestimated by his fellow students and also by his professors or teachers. This went on and on until he reached his thirteenth age when he acquired the power of Diablo the Gravity Demon. This is where the "Graviji" in his name came from. At the age of 16, his family became proud of him that he made it that far in the university and decided to celebrate his achievment. Although the celebration was only cheap and not that fancy, the three of them were happy together. Since it was 10 years that they haven't met. During the celebration, something went wrong. It was when that the land lord of where his father is farming decided to seize the land due to unknown reason. They were left homeless and no income. Remixx then decided that he will stop studying and help them find a source of income. His father however refused Remixx' decision and convinced him that he should continue studying so that after his graduation, he will be someone that his family can be proud of. His parents then decided that they will stay at their relatives' home and find another source of income. Remixx agreed to that but he not study until his parents have found a good settlement. After a few months of being homeless, one of their relatives have housed them and Remixx' family problems have finally settled down. While going back to the university, he realized that things aren't going to be easy. He tried his best to get to the last level and so he did. At the age of eighteen, his father passed away leaving him a small gift. A box in it contained a relic of the LenGuardian. Along with it is a note saying "This will protect you in all harms." However he still hasn't mastered the use of LenGuardian and sometimes fails to summon it. Even up to now, the spirit still doesn't recognize him as its summoner. The only summoner who the Spirit recognizes is his father, and this sometimes bothers Remixx because he all he knows about his father is that he is his father. [B]Personality:[/B] If anything was to describe Rinoa about the way she acts, it would probably be that she's playful and serious at the same time. Whenever she's resting or being lazy around her friends, she's calm and even friendly. She like to talk a lot about fun and exciting things that she would like to see once she starts on her adventure she's been thinking of. She easily attracts anyone around her with her charming attitude and loveable expressions. Most guys are attracted to her, causing her to flirt with them most of the time but only in fun. When it comes down to something important, she turns serious in a minute. She likes to fight because it let's her release her anger and also allows her to show off her moves and magic. Nothing much can be said when she fights... only that she'd give up her whole life to defend anything and everything. If she sees her friends in trouble or are going to become hurt, she becomes outraged and unleashes all the power she has in order to protect them. Although she may seem perfect, she has some flaws in her character. Whenever someone tries to talk to her, she can only listen for a few moments without truly becoming bored. It's not that she doesn't want to listen to what her friends have to say... it's just that she gets bored real easily. Another problem in her personality is that she doesn't show what she's truly feeling. If she's feeling happy, then she'll look and act pissed of at anyone who gets in her way, but if she feels sad or angry, she'll act happy so that she won't worry anyone. She feels that if she shows what she's really feeling, then it'll lead her to demise.... but it's actually helping her lose all her friends.
