eleanor
So this is probably my 5th ot 6th stab at coloring. I'm pretty determinded to nab it and learn how to use my art programs to their full extent. The first two were originally sketches, so I just quickly used a contast/brightness tool to clean it up a bit and then went ahead and colored it. The third I drew on the computer and then colored, and it's the one I'm least happy with (coloring-wise and proportion-wise). Horendithas
I have a request, could you perhaps upload them to a place like imageshack so I could see a larger version? I?d love to tell you what I think, but with such small pictures it?s kind of hard to see the details. Unless that is their correct size, in which case you can smack me. 2010DigitalBoy
All of your pictures are really cool, your style is very Production IG-esque, and in fact isn't that first picture the one-eyed chick from Kill Bill? Awesome. I'd say my favorite thing about your pictures is the shading, I don't know what program you used but the effect looks great, it's almost like cell shading. Also, I like the sort of sharpness of your lines, and I like how some of them poke out from the color and, namely in the third pic, how the color goes out of the lines a little. My favorite thing about the first pic has to be the hair. It's very well drawn and it has great coloring to it. I also like her shirt/jacket simply because they look cool, and she looks just like the chick from Kill Bill if that's what you were going for. Now... I'm not sure if the second pic is a girl or a boy, but Im assuming its a girl The second picture most definitely looks like a .hack character. What with the painting/tatoos on her body and the big sword. Her hair is pretty cool, and she has great style. My favorite part of her outfit has to be the cool gloves. The sword is pretty badass especially the gleam at the end of it. The only thing I'm wondering is how she hold it above her shoulder like that, it must get tiring ^^;; The third pic I have rather mixed opinions about. On the one hand, I love the pose, the clothes, and generally her whole body looks great, especially the coloring efects as I mentioned before. Her hair also looks pretty cool. The thing I don't like, though, is that her face is really long. I don't know if you intended it that way or not, but if you gave her big anime eyes it might look right. I really just wanted to get the feel for coloring my pictures, so I just picked random sketches I liked. @ Tical Blue: Thanks for the comments! Yeah you're right on that the first girl was based on the one from Kill Bill... except she doesn't have blonde hair. :P These are my latest colored pictures: (Click thumbnail for full size) So... I know the fingers/hand is totally messed up proportion-wise and finger-placement wise, lol. This picture gave me a hard time since it was my first time coloring a picture that was rather large. I guess coloring smaller pictures is just easier. :/

I was also over at a friends who uses an older monitor and now that I?m back on my own computer I can see them just fine. So that being said? The first image is nicely done. It?s got a good messy feel to it and the colors and shading are varied in the sense that it gives the picture a bit of realism to it. The draw back, the lines on her sleeves are a bit jagged and the black lines in her hair a little to thick. The second image is similar to the first in terms of color, though it seems to blend together a little better. It too has a little bit of a messy feel, which lends itself to the overall look. It could use a little cleaning up as a few stray lines like the red one along the blade near the base is distracting and the gray one that sticks out near the end. It would look much cleaner if those two lines were gone. The third one I like the least. As far as the coloring goes it seems to be more unfinished as it lacks the messy look that makes it look more realistic. (Not sure if I explained that correctly) The biggest things I see that need change is the lack of a line along her art and her chest could use a little rounding on the side to give it a more curvy look. And now for your latest picture. By far out of everything you?ve posted I like this one the best. The details on her sword and the shading have a much smoother and cleaner look to them. Her outfit, hair and skin tone though a tiny bit messy still have a nice look to them. The two things I see that need some work are the proportions on her hand as her fingers seem a little off (something you already mentioned) and the streamer hanging from her sword, the way the material thins as if sideways and then back to a more full view is uneven where it narrows to a small line. It could use a little tweaking to look more flowing. The one with the guy and girl also has a nice messy feel to it and the colors flow quite well. The biggest problem I see is that a number of the lines have a jagged look instead of being a clean line. But then I don?t draw so I don?t know if it?s easy to get a smooth line or not. Anyway, great job on the pictures. You?ve definitely got a nice feel to how you color and sketch the pictures.

Something about it seems really expressive ^_^ but I really like that pic XD it's so great~ *heart, heart* Everything about it oozes awesome~
Retribution
I'm not sure if its your style, or if this has been mentioned already, but the jaws on all your characters look to be elongated. It just looks like the proportions for their faces look rather off, and just pushing the chin up so that their jaws/cheeks didn't look so big. Aside from that, try to work on using color to show depth in your drawings. You're doing that for like folds and such, but it could be improved by using multiple shades to show that there is a gradual change in depth. If you understand what I'm saying. Other than what I mentioned, your style looks ace. Keep up the good work!
