Aberinkula
Why did I say 6th grade? Well I was just thinking about the subject then poof!! IDEA!!!!! Well anyho what was your experience in 6th grade like? Ups? Downs? Friends? What? It doesn't matter if it was during school of out of school. Summer vacation before or after. As long as it consists of that period in time. Well for me It was great. In 5th I was the most unpopular person in my class. but next year whoaaa!!!!! Switching classes lets you know people better. And you are also the 2nd shortest kid there. Anyways back in 1st I loathed the fact that I was taking the year again. But now that's probably been the greatest thing to happen to me. A new kid come. He becomes your friend. His name was Dillion. He called me gay during lunch. (Everyone did. But only at lunch.) Then later I find that one of those kids is indeed GAY!!!!!! Later on Dillion and me were in a project together. (Teacher picked) And he starts talking about that gay issue. He was just playing around with me. But when he found out that the kid was gay we finnally had better foundation. During lunch Dillion tried to escape the gay kid. When he got up the gay did too. End of the year your friends are more friend like. We had fun times. Taling bout stupid stuff. I even entered a yo mamma contest with a girl there. I won. Now during break I spend my time HERE!!!!!! And the fact that you have had a first. (Which most of us guys were) Changes you. COMPLETELY!!!!! but anyways share your experience here.
Japan
There wasn't too many things that I remember about my sixth grade year. That year I was home schooled. I'm sure I did a lot of traveling that year. Germany, Scotland, Northern England, etc. I am pretty sure I went to the Prime Meridian on a class field trip there as well. It was tons of fun. Though, I know for a fact, I did not have very many friends.
pooperson
There wasn't too many things that I remember about my sixth grade year. That year I was home schooled.
Me too! I was homeschooled for 6th grade... it was an... interesting... experience, to say at the least. I was very involved in Tae Kwon Do and in my church. I had a lot of friends, but not nearly as many as I do now. I do remember 9/11 occurred in 6th grade. That was quite a day for me -- I had to watch the news for 8 hours and write an essay on it. Not so fun. But otherwise? I remember it was a good year but completely boring since my friends were all in public school.
PaganAngel
This is quite possibly the most random topic ever... ...But at least I have a story to go along with it. Sixth grade was when I experienced my "anime big bang". I mean, I did watch a couple anime shows from time to time--Toonami, Kids WB, you know, the works. But I couldn't call myself an anime fan just yet. But in 6th grade, I met Angelica. She was a fan of anime, and she loaned me a volume of Marmalade Boy, a volume of Kare Kano, and a DVD from Newtype with Azumanga Daioh on it. The next time I was at borders, I picked up volume 1 of Chobits and Azumanga Daioh. BANG. I got hooked. And the anime gods saw that it was good. It was very good. Kinda pathetic that that's the only significant thing that I did that happened that year, no?
Mythologicly
I repeated 6 grade so i have two story's first time in 6th i was one of the short kids and the middle school i went to was medina and its a really poor school the teachers sucked, the winters were cold the summers were to hot 9-11 happened and i was intro duced to a new way to survive if you want something take it by force wich meant i did a lot of bad things for many i would get in fights with other kids for money, still from the school, still from other kids, roll dice with kids. but those were really great times. 2nd time most of the same stuff execpt the school saw that i was a problem and had me saspended almost ever day till it was may i was kicked out of more classes, striped surched, and most of the day me and my niggs would run from teachers, cops, and any athority figure but the only reason this year was better was that i met someone named christina who made me stop doing most of the bad stuff like smokin, and fightin and had a lot of fun this year. but the worst thing about this was that kif you had know friends it was over for you cause people who diddnt have any were getting jumped, robbed,or mugged . this one went for every body six grade beat em up day was the worst also if you were late to class and got cought in the hall prepare to fight cause you about to get robbed for all you got. my school sucked put i wouldnt trade those memories for anything. ChibiHorsewoman
This is quite possibly the most random topic ever...
True. And I'm a randomness magnet. Hmm, sixth grade you say? Well that was a very interesting year for me. You see when I was four I started seeing child psychologists and stuff and by the time I was six I was diagnosed with ADD (Attention Deficite Disorder) and I was also diagnosed with a bunch of other things. In sixth grade my parents decided to remove me from the private Catholic school I was going to into a school for kids with behaivioral problems called Hillside. I went to the day treatment program even though they do have a residency program as well. But before I forget, they did this the second week of December so I had already been in sixth grade for almost three months when they did this. I went from a class of twenty-one to a class of about six. Since this is a school for kids with special needs and a lot of them act out they have a time out room and I wasn't allowed to walk to the bathroom by myself. Also the school there is year round with days off for holidays and a week before and after the summer session. It wasn't too bad, they had an honor program where if you got enough points you were allowed to go on trips on Fridays. I got to go to mini golf, the mall, the Lilac Festival and museums. So that was okay. But it was and still is a bit emberassing to admit where I had to spend middle school.
Aberinkula
Well people have interesting stories. I myself have something to add. In my school whores run a muck. One of my friends (he's also an OB member) Josh was brought to a treehouse. This girl was Pamela Fifield. A name that strikes fear into peoples hearts. She tried to force him to have sex with her. What a *****. in my school if you don't fit in you are gay. Strange. I don't fit in that well myself but eh. And by now most of us kids knew about sex before we were even told. And health class will be a breeze. he-he-he-uh. Well belive me I have tons of stories to tell. never have sex with somebody at our school. When we turn 50 people will say "That kid's hopeless." rumors there spread faster than the black plaugue did. Believe me. You don't wanna know what I did. :animenose
Sonic Boom
Wow, 6th grade... For me that was 20 years ago (85-86). To be honest, you couldn't pay me to go through 6th grade again, I don't think I was ever as miserable as I was then. It was a weird experience, everything started changing and all of a sudden I didn't know how to relate to anyone anymore. I guess I didn't understand that being into things like Dungeons and Dragons and Star Trek weren't considered cool and were nothing more than a bully magnet. So needless to say, I wasn't popular and got beat up pretty much on a daily basis. To make things worse, my best friend was very popular, but because I'd been deemed a nerd he'd have nothing to do with me while we were at school.I'd hoped maybe if he'd hang out with me at lunch or something, that would make me cool by association, but he'd just ignore me. It sounds crappy I know, but to be honest, if I were in his shoes I would have done the exact same thing. I think sometimes people my age tend to forget how cruel we can all be at this age, and just how cutthroat junior high life is. 6th grade is when I also experienced my first real crush, a girl by the name of Stephanie Walls. I still remember the first time I saw her on the first day of school. It was in my third period health class. She was wearing a red sweater, Guess jeans and Keds sneakers that matched her sweater. She had long, curly golden brown hair and at the time, was the prettiest girl I'd ever seen. A couple of weeks after school started, a back to school dance was announced I wanted to ask her to it more than anything, but couldn't work up the nerve. After all, she was a cheerleader and I was a nobody. After high school, we wound up going to the same college and actually became friends. When I told her about how I had a crush on her in middle school, her response was "We went to the same middle school?". Ouch. I'm sure there were some good times too, but in my determination to remember how miserable I was I'm sure I've forgotten about them. I don't get how people my age could like back at this being such an idyllic time, the one thing that sticks out in my mind was how miserable I was. Of course, the next year I discovered punk rock, heavy metal and skateboarding and that's when things started to get interesting. :)

YoukaiAlchemist
6th grade was when I decided I wanted to draw anime! ^_^ it's also when I started getting lots of friends because I was funny! >.> and it marked my interest in the possibility of the supernatural. v_v() though, it was also when I quit being friends with a guy I had trusted for 3 years because he wouldn't stop making fun of me, and hurting my lil brother. chaos Alvis
Sixth grade. The most important year for me. The year when i met my best friend alvin. asian, good drawer, and an idiot. yes we had our good times and bad but we still made it through the year. all i can remember of my sixth grade year was this bomb threat(what kind of school do i go to?!). Everyone was all like "WHAT HAPPEND" and rumors started spreading like wildfire like:"i know who did it it was so and so". then a few months later they caught the culprate and it was a 6th grader.... (not me) but seriously A 6TH GRADER. good thing everything has changed.
madnessofthecat
Sixth grade was hilarious to me. I had just moved from New York to North Carolina because of my mom's job. First they messed up my schedule and put me in a 7th grade class so I had to wait in a room the first day with people who scared me. Seriously the people at my school even now where big as hell to me and looked a bit ruff. That?s where I met my first best friend. I was scared of her at first really but she was pretty cool. Half way into the year I realized that common sense wasn't really to well common. I'd been laughed at because I wore blue shoes and I was a girl, seriously. My friend had tried to black mail my science teacher because she caught him screwing another teacher in the classroom. Haha..he was still a pretty cool teacher though. Saw more than one fight in math, felt bad for the teacher because she was new and they made her cry. Got white out poured in my hair because I wouldn't pass a note. that year had its ups and downs really the next year was even better though.
Aberinkula
I have another story about that pamela girl. Well she went to the doctors that day. When she came back people sked her "Where were you?" So Matt white (another class mate) said "She probably went to get her tubes tied." I didn't laugh. The teacher was right there. He didn't get in bad trouble. But it was halarious. And the girl I love to this day came to school. I ride her bus too. But anyways her sister got on the bus but the girl wasn't there. She lved in Utica so the info wasn't completely sent to the school. Well a couple of days later she was our class. Her name was Brandie. She loves anime and manga. She is short. Everything like me. (except she was a girl and I was a guy.) I fell in love with her that same day she came to the school. Insult to love but. She was so much like me. We became friends quick. Sojiro47
Hehe....My sixth grade was hell. On top of going in to it as the most unpopular and unsocial boy in school and keeping above profile, even the VP hated me. I had two friends, but I was considered a "loosely placed friend", so I wasn't ever really accepted. I wasn't out-going, but I was well know as the local outcast. Being often picked on, I very quickly became impatiant with everyone. I got into four or five big fights during lunch on one day alone, one after another. The confrontaion was started by the bully, but I throw the first and last kick. And no, I didn't take the cheap shot, it was a head kick. That stopped the bullying for a while. Half way through the year, my trombone broke and I had to get stiches because I grabbed the wrong side of a pair of open scizzors. On top of the that, the day after, I was at the soda machine when an aquantince dial 9-1-1 on the ay-phone, right beside the soda machine. The, when the cops came, he told them I did it. Betrayal. Ouch. Yeah, so life sucked in the sixth grade.

kai4
I loved sixth grade. Everyone in my class were really close. We all talked to each other and had fun with our teachers. But weird things happened, like this one a boy who was in 8th grade who stayed back, came into our Language class. My teacher Miss. Long knew him and they were talking and kiding around and then he took a pointer stick and pretented to hit our teacher, but he was playing and she knew that. She just called the office to get him out of the class because he was annoying. But that kid was very weird he smoked and was already losing his hair. All she told us that the kid had problems in the head. All the good time i had. :D
AomiArmster
6th grade was odd for me i was just discovering myself and well.. yeah it was just poop people were jerks.. although only for the first 2 months but by then i was already in a hapkido class so my self esteem was like TOP HIGH-- i was sooo happy of myself everyone in my social group was like O_o and kinda.. taken aback oh well-- then i started makin my place in the ranks.. not too popular but popular enough that people THAT I DIDN'T KNOW knew me i never bullied anyone expect the bullies themselves and.. thats basically all i remember @_@
Charon
I feel that the suckiness of sixth grade is merely preparing you for the horribleness that is seventh grade, by then the honeymoon of growing up has worn off.
Raina
I've actually never graduated from 6th grade. :animesmil You see, The beginning of the year starts in September, right? So I started then, of course. Then my family was going to move to Australia, but their school year starts in January. That's only half way through my original school year. So I was given a choice: 1. Move to Australia and start from 7th grade in January, without finishing 6th grade. or 2. Move to Australia and start from the 6th grade in January, (in other words, repeat it) then start 7th grade the following year. Of course, me not wanting to repeat half a year's worth of study, I chose option 1. :D Therefore, I never finished elementary school. SunfallE
I?ll never forget my sixth grade as it was the year I had my appendix taken out. It was a miserable year since I was in pain for months before they finally figured out what was going on. The teachers thought I was faking it to get out of school and even my mom was skeptical since every time the doctor checked me they couldn?t find anything wrong. (we had a very poor doctor at that time as he was terrible at missing things) Finally about halfway into the year the pain was so bad that I passed out in school and was taken to the hospital. The doctor at the emergency room was far better and he figured out what was going on and I had surgery the very next day. So then I spent the rest of the school year recovering from the surgery since due to the nature of it they had to do more than a simple same day surgery procedure so I had an incision several inches long. At least when I finally did go back to school for the final few weeks the teachers had the decency to apologize for not believing me back at the first part of the year. Starfire0567
The sixth grade for me wasn't too long ago actually. About three years ago. I hated the sixth grade! I had very short curly hair and wore stretch pants because I hated jeans (and now I love 'em) I had NO friends in the sixth grade and was constantly picked on. Crude..Life was rotten. Sangome
P= More or less my sixth grade year wasn't that exciting, mainly due to the fact that I was homeschooled. I was obsessed with PokeMon at the time, the GameCube was freash and new, still... P= Yeah, life was good. Up until seventh grade. Then it went to hell for awhile. But I won't get into that.
Kurama + Hiei
I don't remember a lot from then but, uh I'll try: i had a teacher and he would be talking about some boring subject and he would stop in the middle of a sentence and say, "What was I saying?" i mean he'd do that about 3 times in a class perorid and it was really funny, though he didn't do it on purpose! ^-^ (he was in his 70's!) In 6th grade i found one of my BEST friends so uh it's all good! Also, I got a really strange nickname that would be the foundation to all of my nicknames i have now...... :animeswea It's my last name, Wilson oh yeah! i got to know the office people pretty well, 6th grade was my the beginning of my "bad streak" ha ha!! :catgirl:
