Esther
My 6th grade year is quite vague, but I do recall some memorable events. :] I was born in Asia, but I was moved to America shortly thereafter. Way back then, Arizona was literally farms and that's it. So I remember riding the schoolbus with about seven other kids, going to a school that included students from all around the Phoenix metro area. It was my first year riding the school bus as well, so I was pumped! I felt so independant, and that was the same year I experienced "identity crisis". I remember that day crystal clear. It was at lunch, I think. And one of my friends was looking at me very hard, and I asked her why. She then proceeded to ask me: "Are you Asian, or are you White?" Heh, it was really confusing for me. Not until that day did I noticed I was bi-racial, and I always thought everyone was the same. Then I would always have a hard time choosing the "Race" section on my state -wide tests. :S Sixth grade overall was just, well THERE. There were no important events that took place, so I don't have much to share. - Esther
