Ikillion
You know I never really got what it was with people and having a number of shoes, many of which they probably won't even wear. From what I can remember I am a size 10 1/2, just hardly pushing the half though and I actually have only 3 pairs of shoes, and out of those 3 only 2 of them are shoes. I have my generic shoe that I use for most casual things, going to school, going out to places and that kind of stuff. I think that they are Reeboks, I am not to sure since brand name really isnt something that I tend to look for in a shoe. The other one is some...kind of shoe, I know it is a sporty one, I just don't know what kind anymore since I only wear it when I am going through something that there is some labor involved in, working out int he backyard, doing something in which my shoe can get very dirty in. The final pair arn't even shoes really. They are only Birenstocks that I tend to wear when I feel either to lazy to atually go all the way and put shoes on. Or when its hot (which it really does tend to do where I live, even more so with this heat wave going on). So yeah, my closet isnt really anything to special, yet I remember one time I had went over to my mother's closet and there had to be atleast 50 pairs of shoes in there. Yeah thats what I would like to call obsessed.
celestialcharm
Does anyone else here have big feet, like size 12 [13 US] and find it hard to get comfortable shoes ?
My sister wears size 12 woman's... O.o Luckily for me, my size is 8 1/2 in heels, or 9- 91/2 in sneakers.
You know I never really got what it was with people and having a number of shoes, many of which they probably won't even wear.
That's me! I know I have a bunch of shoes, but my house is hammerspace. I usually only wear my leather flip flops, which were a hand me down from one of my cousins. Or, I wear my black leather shoes I bought from Payless. I love those shoes. They are totally flat, but I can handle them. But, I was never one to destroy my shoes. My brother's shoes always end up being able to talk (the front of it becomes detached from the bottom) because he destroys them so much! How do people destroy their shoes?
ChibiHorsewoman
I ♥ shoes and I think it's genetic because my daughter's favorite word is shoes and she's obsessed with them too. I wear between a size 8.5 and a size 10 in US womens shoes. My shoe size fluctuates because I own a lot of different brands and styles of shoes. I own five pairs of sneakers including a two year old pair of black and pink Addidas Sambas that I wear for work and a pair of running shoes. Then there are five pairs of flip flops including a plastic pair with Hello Kitty on them. six pairs of dress shoes including the oldest pair I own, a pair of black shoes I got in college. and my three pairs of boots those are my paddock boots, my dress boots and my Payless boots. I really enjoy buying shoes, it doesn't matter who I'm buying them for... and that reminds me that I need to buy Abby new sneakers and some dress shoes.
Roxie Faye
For a woman, I don't really have a lot of shoes. I have maybe 7, 8 pairs total? I mean, I have more shoes than that, but they're things like slippers, or flip-flops that I probably need to throw away. Those 7 or 8 is what I actually wear. I only have one pair of running shoes - heh. So, when mine wear out, I have to get a new pair. I've got a pair of black ballet flats. I've been looking for a complementary white pair, and I finally found one. ^_^ I've also got a pair of white, dressy heeled sandals with a backstrap, heeled black sandals, and thong flip-flops. I have a pair of black boots, too, and they're my favorite, because they're riding boots (by Millers. ...Which is out of business, which sucks. >_<). I love wearing them to school. They're pretty comfortable, and I like the way they look. =D I'm a 6.5 in a US running shoe, which is 4.5 UK and 37.5 Eur, and 23.5 cm. For dress shoes, my size ranges anywhere from a 5 (US) to a 6 (US). I've never bought a 6.5 US dress shoe. How weird! Incidentally, I've been working for a podiatrist (foot doctor) over this past summer (and the summer before). ^^ If your feet are hurting, I would recommend seeing a podiatrist. So many people think that because it's just your feet, and it's not like you're going to die any time soon, that you can live with the chronic pain. I would say otherwise. Don't wait a few months, or a year before making an appointment. As someone who has worked in a podiatrist's office, I'd like to tell you that we don't bite. On the contrary, the doctor will make it feel better! Speaking as someone with (some) experience in said podiatrist's office, here's my last piece of advice for shoes: When you get a new pair, especially with running shoes, break them in gradually. One hour today, 2 hours tomorrow, three hours the next day, until you can wear them comfortably for 8 hours. (And we say the same thing to patients with orthotics, so that goes for orthotics, too.) Otherwise, you could end up hurting your feet/causing them pain. Good luck with your shoes!!! ^_^
Drifting soul
My favourite pair of shoes are my cowboy boots. They cost £25 which is way more than I usually spend on shoes but I just love 'em! They have these cool dangly things and I just love to move my feet around to make them go 'swish swish'! Yeah I know that's weird. As for school shoes go I don't like just ordinary plain ones and look for ones with a little decoration like a flower or something (I'm kinda a hippie). But unfortunatly I can't find any of these types of shoes that fit me anymore :animedepr . And it doesn't help that I need to buy a new pair. As far as trainers (sneakers) go I have 2 pairs that I wear most of the time. One pair is slightly 'fancier' than the others. I don't believe in wasting good money on brand labels ever since I learnt about child labour. Plus wearing brands shows that you're owned by multinational companies in my opinion. But I can probably save that for a different thread :D
Pumpkin
I got my vans on but they look like sneakers. Honestly, I was never a shoe person before, but now I'm starting to love them. I have mostly sandles, you will find every brand, type, and color of sandles on the back of my door. Lately, I've been buying a lot of high heels though. I adore heels, not only are they extremely cute but they make me an inch or two taller, and believe me anything that makes me taller is good in my book since I'm only 5'5". I just bought these really nice candies boots too, they go up to almost my knee. I also just bought some of those flat shoes. What I don't have a lot of is sneakers. Believe it or not, out of my collection I only have two pairs which are really old. I really do like sketchers and k-swiss. I'm not too common with other brand names. So yeah, my favorite shoe would probably have to be a sandle highheel (they do exist, really).
