Art [OBWT] Round 2: Delta & Lan VS Chikara Kokoro

The following round is a 2 versus 1 match. I'm going to give a picture that all three of you will work independantly on. All you have to do is take the picture and, following the guidelines, make some prettyful artwork. :)

The winning team will be decided by the members of OtakuBoards (though this isn't the last you'll see of the judges). How it will work is every vote someone gets will be worth 1 point. However if a member of the two person team gets a vote, that automatically gives their teammate half a point.

So let's say The Boss and I are on a team against Dragon Warrior. Someone votes for DW, he gets 1 point. Someone votes for The Boss, he gets 1 point [i]and[/i] I get half a point. If the singular person wins, the other two competitors are eliminated. If one of the team members wins, only the singled out person is eliminated. [b]Delta[/b] gmv. The colors are very vibrant which makes it stand out alot more than Chikara's. Although I can't really see where the starting image is. I see only part of it. I also really love the stock image you used. Bleach PWNS!!1!11! ...

[b]Chikara[/b] - I'm not very fond of the bg at all. It doesn't match the rest of the piece. But I like the font you used on the top and bottom of it. BUt i also noticed that the Ace symbol has some weird looking streaks across it. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not but it doesn't match the rest of the piece either.

Whee~, Delta. I totally love this picture because it's so bright and colourful. It looks like there's a lot going on, but there really isn't, it kinda just looks that way because of the tower =P Orihime and Tatsuki are awesome (at least I think it's them...), I especially like how you coloured them each differently and kinda gave them a messy outline. It looks good with that messy style because it fits with the rest of the random type things in the picture, and I noticed they have weird shadowy things above/below them, that's pretty neat. Heh, connecting them to the tower was pretty cool to pull everything together. The piece looks random and messy but I love it, the sign in Japanese is a nice touch, I adore the font used, and the random wave type thing in the right corner is eye catching, especially the swirly. And yeah, I see the set image played around the piece. BTW, one last thing is I'm curious to know what the writing near Tatsuki's left arm is. All I can make out is "alisaga"

[B]Chikara Kokoro:[/B]
I quite like the background for this piece, the shadowy type affect is interesting and the golden colour matches the text. I love the font you chose, it has a classy feel to it and immediately makes me think of gambling and stuff, not really sure why. I like the type across the centre of the piece but the colour sort of clashes with the ace in the middle. I really did like this piece but I felt it was a little plain.

My final vote goes to [U][B]Delta[/B][/U].[/COLOR]

[COLOR=DeepSkyBlue][B]Delta:[/B] The thing I like best about your submission is how colorful and busy it is. It?s very vivid and the sharply contrasting colors of blue, yellow and pink really stand out. The thing I don?t care for is that it?s almost too busy. And I just don?t see how it relates to the original picture.

Chikara Kokoro:[/B] What I like best about your piece is the color scheme. The yellows and blacks all go together nicely. And the texture on the middle spade has a nice look to it. What I don?t care for is that the background and choice of fonts just don?t seem to go together.

In the end my vote also goes to [B]Delta[/B]. [/COLOR]

[COLOR=SeaGreen][B]Delta:[/B] You?re piece is so wonderfully colorful, busy and vibrant. However I?m a bit confused as to how that connects to the original picture. Still I?m impressed as even though many of the colors are a sharp contrast like the blue, yellow and pink. You?ve made them all look as if they belong together.

[B]Chikara Kokoro: [/B]You?re piece is wonderful in that all the colors harmonize together. The blacks and yellows look great and I love the weird little lines of texture you put on the spade. The only thing I don?t care for is that the background and text just don?t seem to go together. I?m not sure if I explained that correctly or not.

Anyway, my vote goes to [B]Chikara Kokoro[/B]. Great job everyone! ^_^[/COLOR]
