Heres the first chapter of many to come, hope you like it. Feel free to give me feedback on what you thought, or any suggestions. Also the storyline of the first manga I'm trying to draw. Wish me luck.

Chapter one: Snow
The villlage of the silent snow, thats what they called it. A small village deep within the snowy, white woods of Syrindea. It is here that they lived, the white fox tribe. Known for there peacefull ways not much happened in their quiet homes. Yuki, a halfbreed, who's mother was a beautifull women with flowing white hair. This is where he must have gotten his hair he though as he leaned against the tree, staring out at the glistining lake before him. Yet his father, a fox demon, whos strength in battle was matched only by the love for his wife. This, Yuki thought, must be where he got the fox ears that lie on top of his head, along with the bushy white tail. His claws as well he thought as he looked at his white furred hands and feet, these were only good for battle, useless in a place like this. The wind began to blow, rustling his loose shirt and making him smile slightly. "It's so peacefull hear, this is what life was meant to be." He whispered to himself as he began to drift into sleep.

Smoke! Gripping his neck Yuki awoke to a suficating grey fog, an unatural wind blowing with the heat of a searing flame. In the distance flikers a shining light. "No"Yuki thought, it's comming from the village. Yuki leaped to his feet, the damp snow crackling under his bare feet. Running as fast as he could through the forest he raced towards the inferno, now clearly visible above the trees. Stamina was no problem, fox breeds were know for there swiftness, but still, was he to late. Yuki leaped through the trees into a clearing, seeing the devistation before him with unbeleiving eyes. In the distance, the shapes of armored figures, torches still lit, the blades of there spears stained red with blood. The smoke was to thick to make out who they were, the fires to hot to move any closer. yuki watched with shinning tears and a brocken heart, watches as his home, his friends, his family burned to the grown before him. that night Yuki, a now lonely boy of eight, begane to learn what hate, sadness, and vengance really meant.

The next morning the fires had died, leaving only the smoldering embers of the burning light. Yuki, walked into the ruins of home, thinking of where all the houses used to be at, thinking where his own used to sit. Yuki aproached the remains of his house, slowly steping to where the door once was. Yuki fell to his knees at the sight he beholded before him, the seared corpses of his father holding his mother in his arms. What could he do now, how would he live without anyone? these are questions he asked himself over and over, only to get the reply of cold wind to his tear wet cheaks.

There, something still stood in the back of the burned wood frame, a black stone chest, where his family would keep all there valuables. He slid the stone slab top off to reveal his fathers leg armor, black steel glistinging in the sun. The sword his father had used, still in it's leather sheath. Last, a circled cross with a claw dangling from it, the sign of the fox tribe and his mothers necklace. Gathering up these few possesions, he decided what he must do. Yuki put on his fathers armor, tied his sword to the back of his waist, and hung the cross around his neck. These symbols alone must give him the strength to go forward. He would avenge his village, his home, his family. The army that attacked them would pay with there lives, no, there very souls.

This was eight long years ago, Yuki has grown since then, both in mind and body. But still he seeks the ones who burned his village, the steel of his sword seeking the heart of their ruthless king. Revenge would mean blood, either that of his enemies, or the blood pooring from his dying body. Till death take him, he shall search for those he must kill.

Chapter two: a mothers gift, Rei appears

"Ki!" "Ki!" A small red race stared up at Yuki with dark, longing eyes. The high pitch ki's were enough to read what it was saying. Yuki picked up a small baby fox, thinking back on his mother. "Yuki, come here I have a gift for you." his mom had sayed as she sat by the warm fireplace. She helf a ball of cloth, which began to squirm and wiggle around as he approached it. "His name is Junrai," his mom whispered to Yuki's ear, her breath warm and conforting"he's a guardian fox." "Guardian fox?" Yuki questioned at his mother. "Yes, a very rare forest creature, they are called such because they can live for hundreds of years and are thought to watch over the world from natures view," His mom said "He is still very young, I found him whimpering in a bush outside the village, something must have happened to his parents." Yuki gazed down at the small red and white figure, still wrapped in the soft green cloth, he looked into it's pitch black eyes and begane to fill a conection he had never had before. This would grow throughout the years as they both grew together in this unforgiving world.

Yuki held Junrai, stroking it between it's silky ears. "Hundreds of years huh, it's been eight long years for me, but your really still a baby aren't you." "Ki!" "Ki" Yuki watched Junrai, the only one who had survived the village masacre, hidding burried in the snow. Yuki smiled, something that had become all to rare as of the lately. He was glad to still have a friend to hang on to.

The leaves began to fall as the wind picked up to a low groan, and Yuki figured it was time to move on. He was headed to the town of Rockheld, a dusty little place in the mountains, surrounded by stone walls hundreds of feet high, with only a small crevase in the rock in which toenter. This was were he would hopefully find the information he was looking for, or atleast according to the traveling peddler who said that soldiers had stopped there for supplies about a month ago. Wondering if these soldiers are of the army he seeks Yuki walks down a narrow dirt road, Junrai pouncing at Yuki's heels as he walked.

The sun shone overhead as the clattle of passing wagons peirced the stagnant air. Rockheld, a fortress of a town lay before Yuki, a great gateway of stone beconing him into the town. The sound of voices echoed through the air, the smell of fruit and herbs drifted from the merchant stands to tease Yuki's nose. He looked around the town finding himself in front of a bar, if he was going to find information this would be the place to get it.

The door swung open and Yuki entered the dark room. The sound of piano music in the background, the bartender starring, and the drunken look of the people looking from the tables, frosted mugs gripped in their hands. "What a boring lot, wouldn't you say Junrai." Yuki said walking to the bar with Junrai who was now riding on Yuki's left shoulder, tail flicking with excitment. "What'll you have?" asked the bartender. Yuki sat down on a wooden stool resting his arms on the countertop. "Have you heard anything about some soldier passing through here last month?" Yuki said leaning forward on the counter. "Hmm, ya there was a group who passed through a few weeks ago, came to get some supplies. A strange bunch those guys, think they were from the Neko Kari tribe. All cats, almost intirely covered in black armor. Most had spears accept the general, he was a giant compared to the rest. A black tiger with glowing yellow eyes, he carried two thick sickles, they had to be a good 150 pounds each, yet he weilded them as though they weighed nothing. They got food and water, and left as soon as they had come, on the backs of huge striped, furry creatures." Explained the bartender who was now pooring a glass of spirits.

The bartender set the glass in front of Yuki, "Here you are, on the house. Don't see many of your kind around here." No sooner had he said that than the double doors burst open, through it stepped a white haired man with black clothes, all accept his wine colored overshirt. From his back hung a huge sword, taller than the man himself, this which he drew from his back as he walked forward, stabbing it just inches away from Yuki's neck. "Names Rei, and you my unfortunate friend, are in my seat..."
