A Duo RPG Between Myself and My Otakuboards Husband

~~~~~~~~~~
A full moon rose lazily over the mountains, a picturesque mansion on the side of one in particular... ...It was perfect, until the sound of a woman's scream shattered what should've been a quiet night. If one had observed closely, one would've seen a monsterous black shape burst out of one of the mansion's many walls and race off into the heavily wooded valley.
The mansion, upon closer inspection, healed itself, and the monster had vanished into the trees.
An unsuspecting couple, walking in the beautiful Spanish night, paused for a moment in mid stride, and the male grabbed his wife, holding her close. The last thing they saw was a dark shape, with bloody fangs and huge claws, filling the whole of their vision. Black eyes, dark red mane, and dense black fur, covering a decidedly feline body. The monster fed, ripping apart the chest to get at the still warm hearts, disembowling the rest to look for more internal organs. Satiated, the monster fled the scene, still dripping blood from every fang and claw. Running through the river that it had dumped the bodies in, the moon began to set. As it did, the monster began to change.
Its claws retracted. Its eyes became human. Its fur disappeared, the tail vanished, and the fangs became normal human teeth. The mane of red hair became simply a thick head of hair on a woman's head. She stopped running as the changing ended and sprawled headfirst into the water. The woman screamed again, but this time it wasn't a scream of blood crazed insanity. It was a cry for help.
"Where am I...?"
The girl that was a monster looked around, her eyes unfocused. She looked completely confused, as if she had not run miles, killed two innocent humans, and then reverted from a monster back into a human. Upon close inspection, the female had long scratches on her throat, where the women she'd killed had desperately scrabbled at her before having her throat bitten out. She had blood caked under her fingernails and she was still tasting blood on her tongue. Fortunately the fast running river had cleaned most of the blood from her naked body. Otherwise, she would've started attracting other predators.
Desperate, she stumbled into the clearing, inhabited by several campers. They thought she'd been attacked and took her to the fire to warm up. They thought she was normal. They...worried about what had happened to her.
His tongue traced down the delicate skin of his neck, so soft, so tempting, but if he drained her dry, who would see to him ? He sighed, collapsing back down into his large bed, there was so little joy left to the world in this place, so much sun, so little night, he could not leave for fear of dying at the hands of dawn's first rays. Spain had originally proven attractive, beautiful landscapes sharpened by the silver moonlight, everything seemed so perfect. She still sat looking at him, the half vacant gaze of one under his thrall, her nude form glistening with sweat, he had no heart for love-making with these women, they were even less alive than he, the warmth coursing through their veins could so easily be removed, it would satisfy him for a time, but only a time.
Memories of the old country returned, where he had been one vampire among many, where he had taken a bride, the daughter of a noble house. Her mother had not approved, declaring that he was more than twice her age, her mark was off by a factor of ten, but then she had assumed him a mortal gent, but still his every waking thought was of her, his Amelia. Had it been chance she left the window open that night ? Or had she known all along he was not all he appeared to be ? It did not matter, lust had taken him that night, he desired her more than anything he had ever known, immortality would be nothing without her. She had barely flinched as his teeth broke the skin on her neck, his hand wove it's way between her legs, the throws of passion consumed them both, she moaned, and moaned, every thrust bringing them closer together. Fresh blood ran from the cut at his wrist, his gift to her...
They spent nearly sixty years together, never without one another, always it was a lover's game, to feed. Often they would be invited to balls, Monsieur et Madame LaChance, hours would be spent selecting a suitable meal, the anticipation heightened the thrill of eventually feeding. His wife would disappear into the throng before returning with a young man, barely seventeen years of age, he would watch her slip him into an empty room, satisfying his lust, heating his blood. He had fed upon hundreds of people, and nothing had ever tasted better than blood drained from those who had just committed carnal acts, he would glide into the room as the pair lay naked ravishing one-another, grasp the youth by the throat and drain him dry as he lay still embedded deep within his wife.
Lucian... Lucian... Her ruby lips would mouth his name as they made love. A corpse lay not three feet from them, there was always the chance they would be discovered, a hoard of angry nobles charging them, hands alit with steel to slay them for their crimes. It brought the slightest of smiles to his face now, better times now long passed. If he tried long enough, the vampire could recall her scent, the shocking glory of her red hair, and the depthless eternity of her blue eyes. Now though he had only his still human slaves, a cabal of half-brained heiresses who sought to become an immortal, instead in anger he had brought them here, under his spell where they would never leave, all but one.
Vigour rose within his ageless form, desire for death, either his own or hers. He would stalk her for months if necessary, across the great seas and oceans of the world, but eventually he would plunge his fist into her chest, tear out her still beating heart and consume it. Long thin fingers wrapped around his thrall?s neck, she whispered in Spanish, a prayer perhaps ? To God ? It was amusing, those who had declared their allegiance to him, casting aside all others now ran to the cover of something even less real than him. True he existed, but powerless to intercede when she begged for his aide. The strength in his fingers was enough to snap her neck before she?s even finished her first sentence, she lay back into his arms without struggle, and he kissed her gently upon the forehead. The full moon stood a testament to his power, the sun?s dark brother in it?s great might.
The girl called Adelei sat in front of the fire, wrapped in a blanket. The people that had found her were kind and gentle, and didn't seem to notice the blank expression on her face. Silvery blue eyes, staring straight into the darkest part of the burning wood, completely unaware of her surroundings. People sat next to her, speaking pleasantly to one another, when night fell. The moon rose in the sky once more, stars twinkling into visibility one after another, and the sound of crickets becoming louder.
Adelei looked up to see which constellations she could identify. As she did, her eyes slid across the moon's reflection and she remembered why she was running away. Lucian, her dark father, the only man she had known all her life. He would undoubtedly chase her. The man who had made her life suffering, reviling her, never loving, only finding fault. It wasn't right, but nothing to Adelei ever was. She had never known her mother, and from what slaves had quietly whispered to her, that was why her father was so full of rage.
"Is it really all my fault?"
The blonde woman sitting next to her turned in surprise, tilting her head to one side. She and her companions hadn't gotten a single word out of her, and now she was speaking in a soft, gentle voice.
"What did you say?"
"Is it really all my fault? My father hates me, is it all my fault?"
"...people hate for many reasons. Sometimes they don't hate the right person. Sometimes they blame everyone around them."
At this revelation, Adelei's ears perked up, she turned and looked to the woman speaking to him. She had never thought of this.
"My mother died giving birth to me, and I killed her."
"It's been known to happen, but you couldn't have stopped it. You were a baby."
Adelei sighed to herself and looked up. While she stared into the moon, seeing her father where she should've seen her reflection, she felt a familiar twinge in her spine. Instead of bursting out of a mansion this time, she turned on the people that had been resting quietly moments ago, claws spurting from her hands, her thick red hair bursting down her back into a full mane. Leaping forwards on the first male unlucky enough to be near, she bit out his throat with freshly grown fangs, rending apart his body with long raking swipes. Then she turned slaughtering everyone else nearby, except for the girl that had spoken to her.
The girl in question was screaming in fear, backing away but not fast enough. Adelei, wearing her monsterous shape, slowly stalked up to her, bringing a very feline face close to hers. Her eyes glowed jetstone black and locked with the girls.
"I will be followed by a vampire, his name is Lucian...my father. ...You will tell him everything."
"...e-e-everything...I will tell your father everything."
Satisfied, Adelei turned and ran, moving faster than the eye could follow, heading out of the forest.
