Magus
I didn't know where to ask this at, but I figured this would be the best place for it. In any case, my family or rather my mom is thnking about downgrading from total choice satellite (I think that's the name or you can just say DTV with extra channels) to basic satellite. (Whatever that means...) My question is to whoever has a satellite without the extra channels. (the ones where you don't call for or something like that.) What channels are available if we choose to downgrade?
Petie
Music, Movies & TV is for discussing music, movies, and TV and their specifics. This is a more general question so I'll be moving it over to the Otaku Lounge.
Albert Flasher
Do you mean you're just going from one channle package to another? Well, from what I know, Basic is what it sounds like - all the neccessary channles for the average person without Sports packages, extra cartoons, cooking channles, etc etc. At least that's what it's like on Bell ExpressVU. You'll probably have all the major networks and basic sports coverage, but none of the specialty channles. If you're not even watching anything but channles on Basic than you might as well downgrade to save money.
Magus
I see what you're saying. Main reason I asked is because I didn't know if CN or IFC would be available on basic. Most of the times they rarely put any good movies on so half the time I'm watching CN or G4, and Samurai 7 on saturdays on IFC. Thanks though.
SunfallE
The one thing I do know is that often what your carrier offers depends upon where you live. So in all honesty anything any of us tell you isn?t going to be all that accurate. As the basic channels for Satellite differ from city to city and such. So if you really want to know what channels you are going to get, the easiest way to find out is to call the company and ask them for a list of what channels they offer for the basic satellite. That way there will be no question as to what you get. Most people want to know what comes with the package they are getting so pretty much any service always has a list or will tell you what channels you get right over the phone. With that being said I really don?t see any further need to keep this open. So I?m going to close this thread. If you have any questions about this feel free to pm me or another member of the staff. ~SunfallE Thread Closed
