TheResplendent
It was dark?and raining?and it was only the middle of the day. Well, it was more toward six, but you can never really tell for sure unless you?re staring at a clock. The sky can never tell you what time it in Traydor, there?s only 4 solid hours of sunlight here and it?s usually in the morning just about an hour or two before noon. But the rain was more of an undisputable factor. Darkness, aside from the bright lights within the city walls and constant rain?makes this city sound like a real gloomy place. To most it seems like that, but I personally enjoy it. No particular reason really, I guess I just do my best thinking in the rain?and as for the darkness?well I suppose I?ve just gotten used to it. I certainly had quite enough time in the past to get used to them both anyway?I suppose when you?ve had a past like mine it?s hard to believe why I would feel so amiable about them both. But I guess that?s how lucky you can consider me for being found by Fargo?he showed me how to live in this city, and since then I never once lamented over my past again. Sure, I?ve thought about it a lot?and still do. He always told me though?that the past is meaningless if you aren?t planning your future based in its mistakes. So rather then grieve, that is what I do?I make sure that my future leads me as far away from that lifestyle as possible. Now when I?m on the streets?it?s because I can be or because I want to be?not because I have to be. Another different between then and now is back then the streets owned me?where as now, I own the streets. * * * * * Elliot sat in his usual seat, yet to move into Nicholas?s old office. He didn?t think himself worthy enough, he didn?t want to be seen by the others as trying to take Nicholas?s place. He even dreaded the thought of himself taking Nicholas?s place, as well as anybody else doing so. It?s been a month since news of Nicholas?s death reached the company?Elliot sat at his desk and collapsed his head into his hands. "Nicholas?I?m not even sure I can do this?why did you leave me in charge, so many left after you died?they don?t want to follow the lead of the old boss?s second ?I never commanded as much respect as you did, not nearly that amount. How do I do this? How do I make sure I don?t let the ones that stuck with me down?" Elliot spoke to himself as he began to lose himself in his train of thought. He was too preoccupied to notice someone standing in the doorway, presumably showing up sometime before he began his solitary rant. She walked over to Elliot?s side and knelt down beside him. A slight look of concern was on her face, but in her mind she wasn?t concerned at all. She had known Elliot for five years now, and she knew that he was never the type to let depression defeat him. In addition, she knew how she might be able to help out. ?You?re not going to let us down, Elliot. So take your head out of your ass and start believing in your damn self ?like the rest of us.? she said. Elliot looked up, unaware that anybody else was there with him. He saw Eva looking at him, into his eyes giving a big confident smile. He recognized that smile well, Eva was always one to stay positive about things and even more so she always had faith in Elliot. It was hard for her to be anything but caring and positive towards Elliot, especially with the first day they met embedded into her mind. Elliot was one of the few people who knew her sober side so well. ?Come on, it?s not like you to sulk around like this?? she continued on to say. ?I know?I?m fine though. I?m just a little upset over Jason and Catrina?out of everyone that left I at least thought that they would have stuck around?? ?Hey, Jason is an ungrateful bastard and Catrina was nothing but a stuck up bitch! Let them go their separate ways if their loyalties are that loose. Everyone that stayed with SN, we?re all we need. We?re going to make it and you?re going to be great, just like Nicholas!? Eva assured him, pulling Elliot up to his feet. ?Eva, how can you even say that? I?m?? ?Hey! Lighten up! Nobody is about to claim that Nicholas?s place can be taken?everyone knows that?s not possible. All I?m saying is you need to get your head back on straight, and realize that we?re all still here because we have faith in you and we have faith that we?ll find the bastards that killed him.? Eva said, cutting Elliot off. Elliot knew she was right, it didn?t take much to get him to see the bigger picture. He has always known when to be serious, but now has a lot more responsibility to assume, being the longest remaining member of Sinister Nation. Eva saw that Elliot?s stressed out facial expression was finally quelling, much to her satisfaction. ?So?anyway, I was gonna hit the nightclub over on Exeter after we get out. You should come with me?it?ll be good for you? Eva said, inching herself closer to Elliot. ?Heh, sounds great?but I was thinking of staying late and taking care of the?? ?Come onnnn! I promise I?ll make sure you?have a good time,? Eva said, as she wrapped her left arm around Elliot?s shoulder and subtly rubbed her knee in between his legs. Elliot?s eyes widened as his body conformed to Eva?s motions. He looked down at her who was staring back at him with a rather inviting look in her eyes. Elliot figured he should treat himself to a fun night out after all. It would definitely do wonders for his mind, especially with the persuasive influence of the attractive young woman rubbing up on him. ?I?well?I guess I could make it.? Elliot said, adjusting himself. Eva gave him a big grin and walked off. ?Good! You can drive then.? She said, before walking out the door. Elliot rolled his eyes, knowing that Eva should never be on the road sober, let alone inebriated. Jack was the only person he personally knew that could drive drunk and make it look professional, though it was still reckless by most standards. Elliot walked out of his office and noticed that Jack and Kenso were still out on their missions, their keys still missing from the rack on the wall. Clyne as well was still out, but gathering up supplies for the HQ. Alex was minding his own business as usual, hitting a few balls over at the billiards table. He figured the others were hanging around the bar area. With connecting doors with Heaven?s Gate, most of the SN members hung out around that area in their free time while on the job. After all, most clients have to go through the bar to get to the SN HQ, so they rarely didn?t know when they were needed. Elliot opened the first door and walked down the short hallway to the other door. He entered the bar behind the wine cellar staircase and walked around to the main area. He noticed Logan and Irina sitting at a table, both of them less than amused by a few drunks trying to hit on them. He wasn?t really worried about either of them letting things get out of hand, but he has personally seen Irina pin someone against the wall and threaten to break his arm off once. He looked over at the bar where he saw Darrel and Virgil enjoying a drink and talking amongst each other. He walked over and sat on the stool beside Darrel. ?Jerry, my usual.? Elliot said to the bartender. ?Elliot, haven?t seen you in a couple of days. I?m glad you?re well.? Jerry said, pouring him a SoCo on the rocks. He slid it over to Elliot, as Darrel turned to him. ?Hey man, just in time. Virgil was telling me about the joint mission you guys did before I joined where you fell over the edge of the docks and held on to the edge of a ship like a bridge,? Darrel said jokingly, as Elliot stopped in mid-sip. ?Hey! Would you quit it with that story? You always leave out the part where it was either that or I get run down by a crazy crack-addict behind the wheel of a fish truck.? Elliot said, trying to defend himself. ?No, I told him. It?s quite comical nonetheless.? Virgil said, bowing his head slightly at the same time as a greeting to Elliot. "Yeah, you and Clyne had a good laugh...for about 5 minutes straight before either of you decided to finally help out. Why don't you tell him the story about when you accidently shot the crystal vase you were supposed to retrieve for that museum dude four years ago." Elliot said, finishing off his drink in the next gulp. "As i remember, the bullet deflected off the other person's rifle. I succesfully disarmed him and the vase was unfortunatley damaged. At that time it was out of my control." Virgil replied calmly. The three continued to talk amongst themselves as the workday began to come to an end. Once missions are underway, completion knows no time constraint unless specified by the client. But even the members of Sinister Nation had homes to go back to, and free time to enjoy with the profits of their trade. Old stories between the veterans of the company, and telling a few to the newer members were popular ways of passing time. Elliot and Clyne probably had the oldest stories from their first years with the company...many of them interesting to tell since they had started off on such rough terms. Nicholas was often annoyed by their arguing and told them to stop acting like a married couple half the time. Nicholas was one to know too, he was married twice. Neither relationship lasted too long, and he had decided it was better to remain unattached. It's difficult for mercenaries to find a committed relationship, if that is what they are after. Elliot and Clyne ended up getting along much better with one another then either of them did with Alex when he joined a few months later. Alex's constant lack of gratitude toward Nicholas always angered Elliot, and the two would often come close to going at it. Of the nine years they were with the company together they've only had a serious fight once, which resulted in both of them in the hospital and Alex considering leaving Sinister Nation before he was dissuaded by Riley. Riley was always a peacemaker amongst the group...before he was murdered by Vance Murdock. As the other members began to join down the years, it seemed as if they fit in like a lawyer did in hell. When Darrel joined, he and Elliot got a long great from the start. They would hit the shooting range together often and work on their marksmanship while Elliot would tell him stories of the company. Most of the members of SN rarely made stupid mistakes, but not even they are immune to unknown circumstances when the time for them comes. When it did, it was usually the basis for the most interesting stories, despite "bloopers" not being the only stories that were told. When Octavia joined, the majority of the company at the time disliked her because of her sarcastic personality. Many of them being hypocrits themselves, but when your in the profession of doing whatever the hell is asked of you for money; you tend not to take to people too easily. She and Elliot on the other hand got along pretty well. They would spar with one another often to brush up on their hand to hand, Octavia's style was much more diciplined than Elliot's was. Elliot was taught well by Nicholas, but most of it was street fighting and shooting. He learned quite a bit from her over the years. He also found it a bit strange at first to call her by her last name, which was simpler...but after unwavering insistence he came around to getting used to it. Kenso was probably the one who took the job most seriously, Elliot found it difficult to converse with him sometimes but the two had many unspoken agreements with one another, one including the unwavering dedication to finding Nicholas Fargo's killer. But right now he tried to put all of that out of his head, he knew Nicholas would be yelling at him and smacking him around if he knew he was showing doubts in himself. Elliot had intended to stay at the HQ late to do some paper work and organizing. That was until Eva proposed her better idea to him. When Eva joined she spent a lot of time hanging around Elliot, trying to get to know him better. Elliot had little problem with it since he enjoyed the fooling around. Nicholas would always tell them jokingly not to fuck in the office and if they did, the cleaning was coming out of their paychecks (figurative paychecks anyhow, payment was almost always done in cash). Nicholas always enjoyed messing around with the members and having fun at their expense, and in turn a lot of them did it with him as well. It was harmless fun, and it was pretty difficult to seriously anger Nicholas. He didn't run a very strict operation with SN when it came to leisure and slacking off, he even understood a lot of the time when someone would botch a job. One thing that would undoubtedly set off the beast within him though was being disrespected. Nobody in the current remaining members of SN would even dream about disrespecting him, maybe except for Alex...but aside from them there were countless other members at points in time who just believed that they would have made better leaders. Nicholas would always use Irina as an example because of how respectful she always acted, even when it wasn't neccesary. He would laugh and tell the others "You guys should be more like Red here! She's got more manners then you guys have brain cells combined!" Indeed there were many memories of Nicholas, but the present required everyone to get over it as best they can. Things were still a bit of a mess at the HQ with the massive decrease in loyal members, along with the consistent incoming jobs. It will be the first time since Nicholas?s death that Elliot has considered going out for enjoyment. Jerry poured Elliot another drink, knowing him well enough to know he usually has 3 glasses at the end of a day when he wasn't on a job. * * * * * OOC: I had intended to do individual paragraphs for each person from when they first joined...but then i realized how long the post was getting. So i atleast tried to include everyone in some aspect. Everyone feel free to wind down the workday with their char and go into their home/private/off the job lives (unless of course you want to be in the middle of a mission or taking a newly appointed one before the days end). Take off from whenever you feel, i tried to include everyone in taking part in different things to start out with, it's up to you if you want to continue from there or skip ahead (not to the next day yet mind you). Hope everyone has fun!
Tekkaman
As Darrel finished his laugh, he saw a blone-haired woman walk into the bar room. Her beauty was stunning, immediately catching Darrel's eye. Though he was slightly swayed by her beauty, and the fact that some alchohol was in his system, he conciously got up from his bar stool and walked over to her; Darrel was more focusing more on making money rather than sex at the moment. Darrel knew that the other members were checking him out walking towards the woman but he didn't care in the least. The only thing Darrel wanted to do was complete jobs and collect money before bed. (And if the female client wanted Darrel still, who knows) As Darrel made it towards the woman who stopped by the pool table, they exchanged words. "Are you a member of Sinister Nation, sir?" The woman stated. "Yes, I am, miss. And you are?" Darrel stated with the utmost professional tone. "My name is Natalie Fairfield, a client with a mission for a man such as yourself." Darrel jumped at the chance, thanking God for answering his prayers for a mission. Darrel walked Natalie to the front room, hearing whistling and clapping behind him. Thankfully, the others didn't hear the conversation between the two, thinking instead that Darrel got himself a lucky someone to spend the night with. As Darrel sat Natalie down on the brown leather couch, he sat in Elliot's old seat where his old desk also sat next to it. They were both planted right in front of the door so when someone was to come in with a mission, the first face they would see would be Elliot's. As Darrel sat down in the seat and pushed himself into the opening of the desk, his knees hit a shotgun - holstered at the bottom of the large oak desk. Darrel escaped Natalie's view for a second and looked at what he had hit beneath his vision - a Remington Model 870 Marine Magnum Pump Action Shotgun. Darrel figured that if an enemy was to walk through the door instead of a client, Elliot's shotgun would be the first thing they see instead, HQ being automatically re-painted a bolder color. Darrel looked back up towards Natalie, his heart unconsiously skipping a beat from the size and potential of the bad-ass American weapon he had just saw. " Jesus," Darrel thought. "Talk about prepared." Darrel looked at Natalie's exposed left thigh from her folding her legs, showing a black Beretta holstered. "Clearly, She's prepared as well." Darrel thought. "I'm in." Darrel said aloud to Natalie. "What's the game plan?" "First, I need to know your name as well." Natalie said. "...Lysander." Darrel said, wondering why Natalie would want to know his name in the first place. Darrel reached on top of Elliot's desk where the log book was evident and wrote her name down in the book. He didn't need to write down anything more since digital camera's were memorizing her facial structures and pulling up unclassified information via top secret computers matching face recognition with personal information, birth certificates, every address within the last 10 years, associates, lovers, etc... With the computer that Mr. Fargo made from scratch years ago and with un-named partners of ours to piggyback our internet connection with the Federal Government's, we were the best at what we did and were never blindsighted with an unsighted attack. "So? Now that you know my name," Darrel said, still writing in the log book. "Tell me, what do you need done?" Natalie gave Lysander a single photo to look at before she continued talking. "This woman is my daughter, Serena Fairfield. She's 19 years old and she's now with a new crime syndicate named A.S.P.E.N." Darrel looked at the picture and thought about all of the dirty things he could do to the daughter and the mother at the same time. He shrugged the thought off after a second and resumed his professional talking with Natalie. "And so... what? You want me to go in to this Syndicate HQ undetected, pick up your daughter without being seen and bring her back here where you'll be waiting to pick her up?" Darrel said, squinting his eyes a tad. "Oh no, you misunderstand." Natalie said, a serious look apparent on her face. "My daughter stole my great-grandfather's diamond ring as a test to prove herself to her new 'family', A.S.P.E.N.. What i've neglected to tell her though is that my my great-grandfather is still alive and is still in the Mafia, here in Traydor." Darrel's jaw dropped slightly, showing his shock. Natalie continued. "My grandfather, never having a close relationship with his grand-daugther, decided to give me a choice: That I die at the hands of the Mafia for the expense of my daughter or that I kill my daughter myself to calm the rage inside of my grandpa." Darrel looked at her unflinching emotions, knowing she wasn't lying. "So, do you want me to gather a team to protect you from your great-grandfather?" "No." Natalie said, sternly. "I need you to gather a team to kill my daugther... and to kill as many of these A.S.P.E.N. character's as possible." This time, Darrel's jaw hung as far as it could go. "She wants to kill her own daughter?! What a bitch!!" "I'm willing to pay top-dollor for you and your team to complete this mission." Natalie said on cue, as if reading Darrel's mind. "$10,000 for the death of my daughter and $1,000 for every A.S.P.E.N. gangster you happen to kill in the prosses." "Ok. Maybe she's not such a bitch after all." Darrel thought. "Let me have a second to talk to the man in charge, if you will." Darrel said with a smile, more from the money than from being a gentleman. Natalie nodded. "Elliot, I need to talk to you please!!" Lysander yelled. He knew Clyne and Kenso were out already and felt a little bad since Darrel usually went with those two plus Elliot in assassination missions. since they weren't around however, he would have to talk to Elliot, leaving Clyne and Kenso out on the fun if Elliot accepted. Darrel hoped that Elliot would take the job after he explained it to him. It was a probability that Elliot would say no. Darrel also hoped that Elliot didn't have immediate plans; otherwise, Darrel would have to cancel the oppurtunity to make a lot of money. ==========O========== OOC: Sorry BK. I know you have plans with Kitty and all but I had this story in my mind for a while. So, with my first post on the table, you're going to have to make a choice. Doublehex
The 99 Nights was Alex?s favorite bars of his favorite bars. The fact that the list went into the thousands didn?t make a difference. If you needed to find Alex, you would just need to go to The 99 Nights, and chances are, you?d find him either half drunk with a pile of beer bottles behind him, or him naked in some bed with a whore. Tonight, things weren?t much different. He was lying across a coach, shirtless under his trademark crimson coat, holding an empty bottle in hand. His feet were crossed over the arm rest in a lazy manner. He had been like this for a few hours, at the least. The 99 Nights had been especially brawl-like tonight, for whatever reason ? at least six times Alex had to adjust his body just ever so slightly to avoid a flying drunk. He noted to himself that he was in for a good night. And indeed he was, when he felt a very seductive feeling across his leg. He lifted his eye slightly to see Eva pulling the long hairs of some whore off of him. ?Damn, Eva always was the selfish bitch, but why on such a good tonight? Well, she never was in such a good mood since that old fucker died?? ?You need somethin???
Kenso
((OOC: Acheron, hope you have no problems with Kenso ending up as part of this mission anyway. I figured he could be about finishing up and returning to the HQ even before you posted.)) ============================================== Only the most acute observer would notice the figure on the ledge 6 stories above the alleyway. It was tucked low to the ground, edging along with an almost cat-like grace. A heavy leather jacket shielded the tall figure's body from the biting wind, along with a full motorcycle helmet. On the figure's feet were biking boots, specially double-soled with rubber bottoms for silence, hands protected by full gauntlets, designed to allow maximum movement. Heavy leather chaps protected legs covered by tight black jeans. The figure stopped at about the mid-point of the building, glancing down below him. The figure reached into its jacket, pulling out a handgun and a silencer, which was quickly and methodically attached. It pulled back the jacket sleeve to peek at its watch. "5:00. No more than one hour, in and out. Time to get underway." The voice was soft, low, dripping of sex and very distinctly male, the only giveaway of the figure's gender due to the heavy clothing. He stood, placing his hand against the glass window he'd stopped next to. He leaned over slightly, glancing into the room. His face showed nothing. "One desk, opposite door, which is set in the center of the wall opposite the window. Wall appears to be 30-ft long. Desk appears to be about 7-ft long and 3-ft deep. Chairs scattered throughout room in what appears to be no particular order. Room sparsely furnished aside from expensive art beyond aforementioned furniture. Victim usually found within from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Alone from 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Usually joined by two associates at 6:00 pm. Plan: await arrival of victim, 'coerce' into giving information, leave before arrival of two other associates." The window wasn't locked, a soon-to-be fatal mistake on the part of one Horacio Leondra. Horacio had never worried about locking the window. It was the sixth floor after all. Who was actually going to get in through there? He didn't know Kenso. Kenso slipped through the window, turning the large plush chair at the desk to face away from the door and sitting himself within it. The dark window reflected the room behind it, and so Kenso simply watched. Kenso permitted himself a slight smirk when he heard the lock on the door click open. Five-thirty on the dot. The man was exceedingly punctual at least. Horacio locked the door behind him before flicking on the light. The young man nearly wet his pants when Kenso spoke. "A lovely evening, is it not?" He was careful to keep his voice calm, low, conversational. He'd found that to be the most intimidating. "Before you answer, I'd advice you to keep your tone conversational and quiet, and not to go for that lock, or both of us are going to have VERY unpleasant evenings." Horacio gulped, but stepped away from the door. One didn't argue with a voice for which no body was connected. "A little dreary, I believe, but I have seen far worse. Who are you?" "I do not believe dreary is the word. Really, it's fairly normal outside. Rain has become so commonplace that it is an everyday thing of beauty now. Who I am is none of your concern. Only what I am here for." "I do not yet view rain as a thing of beauty. I have left this city and seen the sun shining across open fields. Rain is depressing." Horacio, being a fairly intelligent man, had easily gathered that Kenso intended to hold both a casual and a business conversation at once. The intimidation factor was impressive. "What is it that you are here for?" "I have not seen the sun, so the rain is my beauty. The pictures." Horacio swallowed so hard it echoed through the cavernous room. No, it couldn't be. He had pictures of a certain crooked attorney with a crime boss's wife. Names were never mentioned, not even in Horacio thought's, unless speaking directly with the attorney. He had decided to use them to blackmail the attorney for a very pretty sum of money, one he planned on collecting regularly. The attorney had threatened back, but Horacio hadn't believed him. Horacio quickly decided regular conversation was not worth his time. Now he was scared. "I do not believe I know what pictures you speak of." His voice cracked under his lie. Kenso turned the chair to face Horacio, pistol aimed for Horacio's crotch. He smirked, knowing the effect it had, and knowing Horacio was already scared. "That's too bad. I guess I'll just have to jog your memory. Unfortunately, I believe that shooting my current target will actually worsen your memory by removing what few brain cells you have, so perhaps I'll start with something else. Come to the desk and place both of your hands on it, palms down, fingers spread." Horacio didn't bother to argue, but he would not say anything about the pictures. "I don't know what you're talking about." Kenso placed the end of the silencer on the thumb of Horacio's right hand, watching as Horacio's eyes widened. "You know, Horacio, that at this range, the flash of my weapon would actually cauterize the wound, preventing bleeding, meaning I could continue to do it with no fear of you bleeding to death?" Horacio's eyes widened further. "Now, I believe you are in possession of certain compromising pictures in which a client of mine may have an interest." Horacio was inherently a coward, and he was no a coward being threatened by a man he knew he could not best in combat. But he couldn't just give up his blackmailing tool. "I have no idea." Kenso smiled, removed the handkerchief from Horacio's three piece suit pocket, and placed it over Horacio's mouth. Then Kenso pulled the trigger. Horacio was whining as Kenso removed the handkerchief. "I believe you do. And by the way, this is an extended 15-round clip and I always keep a round in the chamber. I also have four additional clips in my jacket. I can do this for a while." "The nude lady to the right of the door. The redhead. Not the blonde one. The natural redhead. They're behind her." Kenso stepped away from Horacio, keeping his gun raised and Horacio in view. It took him a second to find the exact painting, as there were two redheads to the right of the door. Horacio was right though. One of them was a natural blonde. The artist had gone into exquisite detail. Kenso lifted the painting, glancing behind it. Sure enough, a small diskette was tucked in the frame. Kenso inserted the diskette into a pocket PC he produced from his right front pocket, scanning and opening the contents. There was no doubt these were what he was looking for. He knew a few guys at SN would have a ball with these. He copied the files to a hidden folder on his pocket PC before removing the diskette. "Well, I thank you for your cooperation, though I must express my disappointment. I was hoping to enjoy your company a little longer. You gave up quicker than I expected." Kenso smiled, aiming his pistol directly between Horacio's eyes. "And I do so hate to be disappointed." Horacio hit the floor with a look of utter terror and disbelief forever plastered on his face. As Kenso walked by, he dropped a black rose on Horacio's corpse. His client's mark, not his, but it had been requested as a warning. Kenso had only been called in because the client didn't have anyone good enough for this one. Kenso slipped back out the window, glancing at his watch. 5:55. Cutting it close, but no big deal. He headed to the nearest fire escape, quickly making his way down the steps. His weapons were unregistered, unmatchable by ballistics, serial number long removed and changed. There was a reason the members of SN were never arrested. There was no point in doing it, because you'd never hold them. Nearby the fire escape was a jet black motorbike. Kenso hopped on, turned the key, and the engine roared to life. He squealed out, letting the rear end fishtail through a sharp right, then roaring away. Five minutes later, in another alley, he traded a diskette for a backpack. The backpack had his money, counted out in front of him. A cool $50,000 for an easy hit. Blackmail retrieval/assassinations always paid good, and luckily for Kenso, all the retrieval experts had been off on other missions when this one came in. Another ten minutes later, he pulled into Heaven's Gate, passing Elliot as he entered HQ to drop off his keys. Technically, the bike was his, but he let everyone use it. He preferred his car usually anyway. The bike just made for better getaways. Then he made his way back for the bar. He stopped by his office to fill out some paperwork - routine stuff, just to say the job had been done successfully and cleanly. It still took a few minutes. By the time he left, Lysander was already yelling for Elliot, presumably about a mission the gorgeous blonde sitting nearby had presented him with. Kenso vaguely wondered what it was. Kenso immediately spotted Virgil as he entered Heaven's Gate, and he smiled. Virgil was from a different world from Kenso, but the two were a lot alike at the same time. It was always good to hold a discussion with him after a mission, and besides, he had to share the pictures with someone, and Jack and Alex were nowhere to be found. As far as he knew, none of the girls would be interested. The attorney certainly wasn't that good-looking, even if the wife was. "Hey, Virgil," Kenso said, taking a seat at the bar next to Virgil, removing the pocket PC from his jacket. He glanced at the bartender, who was approaching him. "Whiskey, two shots." He opened the folder, then started playing with the PC. "Got me some, shall I say...intriguing....souvenirs from the mission I just did. Interested in seeing them?" Veritas
The high pitch scream of fast pace driving greeted Jack warmly as he flew around a corner. A black car following him although the drive slowing down more to take the corner. "Amatuer, never chase a Ghost, the only thing they lead to is death" He said under his breath, his thoughts roaming to Nicholas for a moment. It was him that gave Jack the nickname Ghost, ever since that day it's been used with pride. Flying around another corner, Jack pulled a smooth drift almost hitting another car, but almost was a long way for Jack. A pair of beautiful women caught his ever scanning eye, and brain fuctions traveled to the smalled head momentarily as he flipped a bitch, pulling next to the women. Long tan legs, short skirts, full breasts, and a mean walk in stilletos, Jack's type of girl, and all girls were Jack's type, well almost all. "So if I give you a ride now, will you give me one later" Jack said with a smirk on his face, as they looked in the car with a smile. For some reason, pick up lines that should have gotten him slapped worked, though most of the time he was in nice cars, new clothes, and had extra cash. The usual crowd was here. The regulars, Sin members, and clients, plus the assorted drunks and druggies. Just like all bars really, well other than the Sin HQ in back. As he glanced around he saw Darrel heading towards the back with a beautiful woman, classy looking to boot. Elliot and Eva were at the bar, Eva was a beautiful woman, and seductive to boot. They worked closely occasionally doing retrievals together, or Jack playing getaway for an assassination. Elliot was Elliot, he was in charge now, though he hesitated in some aspects of taking full charge. He didn't want to take Nicholas's place over, even though he was gone forever, it seemed like he'd be back, like he couldn't die. Virgil was also sitting at the bar, he was another in Retrievals, Kenso was also with him, they were looking at a Pocket PC, something good by the looks of it too. "Jerry the usual rum for me, a Wet Pussy and Sex on the Beach for the girls" Jack added before Elliot could say anything. Orcus
Virgil stayed seated as Both Elliot and Darrell left the bar. He spun back around and ordered the drink Elliot had, as for the moment, he lacked imagination. He had finally gotten a chance to relax after a strenuous missio he had just finished, but for some reason, his mind kept flickering back to the event... ***** "I have plenty of time. What does the job involve?" Virgil had been sitting in his own office, mingling about, bored beyond all comprehension. Unexpectedly, as most clients didn't do this, a woman walked directly into his room and sat down. Though suprised, Virgil did not once lose his focus, and he casually leaned forward to talk to the woman, flashing both guns at her in an accidental fashion, just in case. She hadn't noticed though, and seemed in need of dire help. "My name is Luisa Epitaph and I have something dire to talk with you about. I hear your one of the best Sinister Nation has to offer in the field of retrievals. Please, I need you to get something for me!" She leaned forwads and placed her hands over his, in a very desperate fashion. Virgil, though usually swayed by the passion of a woman, did not buy this act. Something was amiss. She was far to emotional, far too early. He listened intently none-the-less. The woman continued. "A priceless antique was stolen from my family by the criminal syndicate ReBirth. A chest from eons ago, laced with gold and adourned with gems, it has been passed along in my family for many years, and without motive, was taken by those thugs. I would greatly appreciate if you could get it back for me. I'll give you $10,000 in cash! The chest itself is worth so much more, and if they sell it, I would never be able to get it back." Virgil had already detected and analyzed the impurities in her story, and her ending had more than given it away. The fashion with which she told that last bit of information was that of one who let's to much slip, a trait common among the nervous. However, she had not caught herself, and has sounded far too comfortable with that phrase. Regardless, money was money, Virgil was bored, and he could find out the truth later. He held the woman's hands and nodded. "I'd be glad to help, madam. Merely leave your personal information with Mr. Cade, and I'll bring you your prize." She smiled and kissed his hands as he said that, and the two walked over to the door together. She turned to him and hugged him quickly. "Thank you, Mr. Berimue..." Virgil held up his hands and shook his head no humorously. "Call me Barrel." The job, though mildly difficult in planning, endurance, and longevity was one of the most basic lifts he had performed in a while. He sneaked in undetected, made it to the chest in not time, secured it in a safe place and prepared to exit the building. Extremely dissapointed by the lack of excitement, he knocked out a couple guards for the hell of it. However, upon attempting to exit, waves of guards appeared in the halls, ready to attack. Virgil quickly fled into the shadows as the soldiers began to inspect the room. Virgil grinned. They hadn't been there to fight him, just for inspection. Taking a moment to ponder than, Virgil became confused. Why would they need such an extensive check-up? Finally the soldiers noticed it was gone, and went into a frenzy searching for it. In the panic, they accidentally began to stumble upon Virgil's spot. "Shit." Virgil fired one shot, throwing the hall into further disarray. Shots were fired all around, and Virgil used the hectic situation to pick off soldiers from his position. Finally tired of hiding, and sure that his enemies were out of ammo for their firearms, Virgil sprang out, taking down soldiers periodically with his rapier. He wasn't able to take down many, though, before a voice called a halt to the quarell. As everyone stood still, Virgil readied himself, and sprung back into the darkness, unseen by the unattentive soldiers.. He had a slight advantage, and could easily flee the scene and come back for the chest. A short, stout man approached the lead soldier, his stomach bouncing up and down as he walked. He spoke solemnly. "Her again, hmmm? It tire of her efforts to steal our weapon. We have worked earnestly on this technology, and I will not allow her to make off with it, especially not with what's she got planned for it! She could jeaporadize millions of lives with this toxin!" Virgil raised an eyebrow with intrigue to this comment. He spoke out jovially, emerging from the shadows, his hands raised as a sign of peace. "I suppose she tired of hiring hands with honesty. I was under the impression that that chest was hers... However, if you'd like, I could take her off your hands. I am an impartial factor in all of this, and would gladly like to assist you." The fat man looked at him sternly and glared as he spoke. "Fine... But if I don't recieve her corpse in the next 24 hours, we hunt and kill you down as well." Virgil smiled and bowed, showing them where the chest was and asking them for an identical one. They pulled out their fake, the one Virgil had easily seen as a false, and he grabbed it readily, heading out to finish his job. A rapid series of knocks caused Ms. Luisa Epitaph to rush to her door quickly, opening it without a second thought. Virgil stood at the door smiling, the chest in a bad under his arm. A sadistic smile arouse on her face, but was quickly replaced by a sincere grin. She led him to her couch and asked him to sit, offering a drink. Virgil nodded and accepted, sitting down. She spoke to him from the other room as she poured his drink. "So I hope it wasn't to boring for a man of your calibur. I just wanted to make sure that it arrived safely. Your money's on the table, by the way." Virgil looked towards it quickly, glancing it over. It wasn't booby trapped, but it didn't need to be. She was going to attempt to kill him now. Virgil pulled out both handguns and spoke back, steadily declining the tone in his voice as he approached the kitchen. "I wasn't bored at all. In fact, the mission proved quite interesting. Definitely worth the trip, I think. It's amazing what you find when you raise a ruckus, don't you think?" He watched as her eyes thinned and she put down the drinks, reaching for something at her waist. She raised up her glock and slowly edged towards the living room, with Virgil pressing himself against the hall wall. As she approaced the couch, and was amazed to find he wasn't there, he pressed the barrel of his gun against her temple. "I don't like being tricked. Amazing, huh?" With that, he fired two shots into her head. She fell over, a blank expression on her face as she dropped like a rock to the floor. Virgil grabbed the briefcase full of money, took out the chest, and from it, the body-bag, collecting her and bringing her to his other benefactor. ***** His thoughts finished as he took a deep drink, but the silence was soon deterred by Kenso. As his ally sat down and offered to show his prize, Virgil laughed. "Usually I would oppose to this, but apparently with enough drinks, I'm up for anything. Let's take a look, hmm?" Virgil and Kenso siphoned through all of the pics, gaining the attention of other Sinister Nation males. Some of the woman in the bar sighed in disgust, while others cam to take a look. Virgil had always loved the diversity of the group, an interesting reaction could be found in them all. Kenso was an interesting character. His forthright mannerism in and out of a job made it so that the two got along well. They both were respectable gentleman, but weren't without their wild side. Who better to share dirty pictures and drinks with?
TheResplendent
"Where's Clyne I haven't seen her pretty little ass today?" Jack added as Jerry poured him another glass. Elliot heard a voice call calling out for him back toward the office area. He recognized Lysander's voice and wondered if the woman that had walked in earlier had anything to do with what he was calling him for. Elliot finished his third glass, and stood up in place. "She's out picking up a few things, and don't let her catch you talking about her like that though." Elliot responded to Jack before walking toward Darrel. "Come on, she knows I don't mean any harm!" Jack replied as took a few more sips, Nicole and Marena by his side having a few fun laughs. Elliot walked into the office and saw Darrel standing beside his chair, the beautiful Natalie Fairfield seated across from the empty chair. He ran over to Elliot and began to explain the situation to him. "Wait, she wants her daughter...dead?" Elliot asked, as they spoke in private. "Yeah, that's what she said." "Man, what a bitch." Elliot said, sharing Darrel's initial response when he first heard of the job details. "Yeah, that's what I thought...until she mentioned her payment." Darrel continued to tell him the exact deal, as Elliot stared back at him suprised that she was willing to shell out so much. "Well, it's not really our place to question her motives. It sounds like a solid job offer though. The usual crew i suppose?" Elliot asked, as they both nodded toward each other. "I'll go tell Kenso, and hopefully Clyne gets back soon so we can let her know" Darrel said, as he walked out toward the bar leaving Elliot to explain the situation to Mrs. Fairfield. Elliot walked over to the lady, who despite her request did not seem the least bit distraught or pained at her own situation. Elliot didn't really pay it much mind, despite having subtle inquiries lingering insignificantly in the back of his mind. "Mrs. Fairfield, my name is Elliot Cade. I wish to inform you that myself and Lysander will gladly undertake this task of which you ask. We will gather a small yet effective unit and the first thing tomorrow morning we will carry out this mission to your specifications. Please put your faith in us, for we will not let you down." Elliot extended his hand as the young looking mother of a condemned teenage daughter answered with her own. "Mr. Cade, I appreciate this greatly. I do however ask for your haste in this matter. I trust that Sinister Nation will be able to achieve this goal within a day." she exclaimed in a confident and provocative tone. "Ma'am, we are at your service" Elliot responded, as he saw Mrs. Fairfield to the door. Elliot walked back toward the others when he was suddenly grabbed by his arm in a rather tight grip. "You're not ditching me tonight, are you?" Eva said to him, having overheard bits and pieces of the conversation. "Eva? No, of course not. The mission starts first thing in the morning." Elliot assured her. "Well good, but i suppose since you have a busy day ahead of you tomorrow that means i shouldn't keep you up ALL night long...too bad." she said in a slightly pouty tone, void of any real sternness. "Meet me outside in an hour, and don't you dare get caught up doing any paperwork!" Eva strutted away as another female walked through the front door of Heaven's Gate. It was Clyne, holding a large cardboard box underneath her arm. The two ladies greeted each other and made some small talk before Clyne continued over to Elliot, Lysander, Kenso, and Virgil by the bar. She passed by Irina and Logan and spoke with them for a few brief moments as well. The female members of SN all seemed to get along well enough, sometimes the guys didn't even know what they were talking about. Clyne continued over and set the box down on the bar, while turning to the guys. "Hey fellas, what's with this little convention we got going on here?"
Sakura
Clyne tore along the streets in her Koenigsegg CCX, this was her last stop to get the equipment and supplies she needed. She shifted gears smoothly, the wind ruffled her hair wildly, only tamed by the goggles a top her head. A quick signal, a mirror and shoulder check later, she pulled into a barely visible alley and dimmed the headlights. She pulled up to the entrance of a dingy little store and parked, entering quickly. Clyne smiled and shook hands with the shop owner. "Hey Drew, got the stuff?" she asked the man behind the counter. Drew was quite handsome if you disregarded the dirt marks and grease stains on his skin, plus his wrinkled grimy overalls. He had dirty blonde hair that fell into his eyes and a pair of hazel eyes. "Of course. Got the green stuff?" he grinned, reaching under the dirty counter and lifting a cardboard box onto the table. "Yeah, yeah." she laughed, sorting through the box and checking that everything was there that she ordered. He slid the receipt across the counter, she raised an eyebrow, scanning the sheet quickly before giving it a definitive nod and reaching into a pocket to retrieve a thick wad of bills. She fished out a small pile and handed them over, hefting the box under her arm as Drew counted. "Alright, everything's good. Come back soon, won't ya?" he winked. "Heh, I'll try not to, your prices hurt." "Pfft, you try gettin' this top quality kit for a good price." Clyne smirked, "I'm sure I know how to be very convincing." Drew laughed at that and watched her leave, jumping back into the car and shoving the box into the space at the foot of the driver's side passenger seat. She looked at the time and saw it was late, she felt a yawn coming and covered it quickly as she drove slower back towards HQ. She pulled around the building and into her personal spot that she always took, picking up the large box and bringing it with her into Heaven's Gate. Just as she entered she spotted Eva heading in her direction, looking like she was about to leave the bar. Eva saw her too and slowed down, a smile appearing on her features. "Hey Clyne, what's in the box?" "Hm? Ah, just supplies and all that for HQ. Elliot got me doing gathering work again." she said, rolling her eyes. "Heading off are ya?" "Yeah, going off to do some clubbing." she grinned. "Heh, alright, enjoy yourself." Clyne continued on her path as Eva headed out the door. She saw Elliot and a group of the guys from SN at the bar and shifted direction slightly since she'd been heading for the bar anyway. She wasn't afraid to push people out of the way if they got too close or in her pathway. On her way she saw Irina and Logan too, stopping to chat briefly about what they'd been up to, which didn't seem to be much. Finally she arrived at the bar and put down the large box she'd been lugging. "Hey fellas, what's with this little convention we got going on here?" she asked with a grin. "There's an assassination mission. Want in?" Elliot asked her. "Hm, depends on the details." Clyne leaned her right hip against the bar as she leaned over to order a drink from Jerry, she didn't miss Jack's wandering eyes from her peripheral vision. "A Mrs Natalie Fairfield is hiring us to dispose of her daughter and as many other members of the organisation she's in." Lysander detailed. Clyne's eyes hardened slightly as she took a sip from her Smirnoff. "Her daughter?" "That's what we thought." The men chimed. "But, the price is right, so...." Kenso shrugged. "Hm, yeah, count me in. I've been itching for a good assassination mission anyway. Killing spree anyone?" A malicious grin formed on her otherwise angelic looking features. The guys all nodded, and Virgil slid a stool out for her, which she perched on gladly with a small thanks. Some of the guys went back to looking at something on Kenso's pocket PC so Clyne took the chance to tap Elliot on the shoulder and nod her head toward the box that sat on the bar between them. He raised an eyebrow and lifted the flaps, glancing in then nodding with a smile. "What're you guys looking at anyway?" she asked out of curiosity. OOC: Sorry about the post, pretty tired right now. Hope everything's ok and all.
TheResplendent
"What're you guys looking at anyway?" Clyne asked out of curiosity. Kenso turned the screen toward her, as expected her reaction included disgust and turning her head away. Kenso tried to push the screen closer to her but she just smacked him in the arm, hoping to kill as many nerves as possible. "Ugh, you guys are pathetic. She's not even hot!" Clyne said, as she spun all the way around in her stool, now looking in Elliot's general direction. Elliot pulled out the checklist from the box and started looking it over. "So, how much did he charge you this time?" Elliot asked. "The usual arm and a leg, we're doing a great job of keeping that guy in business i'll tell you that. He says everything is there and they're all the newest models though." Clyne answered, leaning her head into the palm of her right hand while she drummed her fingers against the bar with her left. "Well, with seven years of dependable service i guess we have no reason to start doubting him now. I'll take it into the office and run through the checklist." Elliot said as he picked the box up and set it underneathe his right arm. He started walking before Jack stepped infront of him and stopped him. "Whoa whoa! I'm not letting you stuff yourself in there doing this stuff now, you have a date to get to." Jack has seen Elliot with his share of women over the years, but by his standards anymore then a month without having sex was too long a break for anybody. He wanted nothing more then for Elliot to take the night off for himself. "It's not really a date...i mean it's a nightclub afterall. Besides..." "Besides nothing, give me the box i'll take care of the checklisting crap!" Jack said as he took the box from Elliot. Virgil and Lysander turned around from their stools. "He's right you know, it's been too long since you actually went out for anything other than a job." Virgil said to him, as he brushed his silvery-blue hair aside from his peripheral vision. Elliot looked around at everyone that seemed to share the same sentiment. With a defeated look on his face he shrugged and figured he was only delaying what was bound to be an eventfull night anyhow. "Fine, you can do the checklisting...ask Logan to help you though. The last time i handed you a checklist your count as off by 12." Elliot said, hinting at knowing that Jack took a few things from the last shipment of car parts they had. "Uhh...heh, i don't remember that..." Jack said, already inching toward Logan trying to get away from the conversation. Elliot turned to Lysander and Kenso. "You guys stock the cars and put together the goods for tomorrow. Mrs. Fairfield wants us on an early start." he said to them. "Don't worry bout a thing, i'll smooth out the details and we'll be ready to go whenever. You just relax for once, alright?" Lysander replied, giving him an assuring thumbs up. Clyne looked over at them from her stool and rolled her eyes. "You know you guys should probably turn in early today too if we're going to do this on time." she said, adjusting the goggles on her head. "Us? What about you?" Kenso inquired. "What do you mean what about me? I'm never late, you guys on the other hand..." "We'll be fine! I just bought a new alarm clock." Lysaner said in a joking tone. "Hm, unless it has an arm that reaches out and bashes you on the head to wake you up, I don't feel too reassured." Clyne said, placing her right hand on her hip. Elliot grabbed his jacket from the wall of the office and spun his keys around a bit before tossing them into his pocket. He wasn't used to being one of the first ones to leave, but he trusted everyone else to take care of the place before closing it up anyway. He walked out and stopped beside Clyne who was finishing up a glass. "So, what are you going to do tonight?" he asked her, adjusting himself into his jacket. "Me and Red have a few things to take care of before i retire for the night. I've been helping her out with trying to decode the TPD's new security programs. With that new software we put into the SN mainframe a few months ago it makes this sort of thing a bit easier. Don't worry about me though...i'll be here bright and early when the sun dosn't shine..." Clyne said to him, giggling a bit. Elliot laughed a bit to himself too. It was amazing how they turned out since their first day working together, but then again with almost 10 years to get used to each other it seems less strange. Elliot and Clyne worked together on so many assassination missions they didn't even have to communicate out loud anymore to have flawless coordination in the field. Elliot would also accompany Clyne on a lot of her recon missions as a driver/insurance policy in case anything went wrong. Elliot has done a fair share of joint missions with Lysander as well since he joined, they worked well together but enjoyed the exhiliration of competition just as much. He and Elliot would see who could kill who and how many before the other and at the same time be focused on the task 100%. Elliot worked with Kenso the least out of the three of them on assassinations, but Kenso has worked as a wheel-man many times for Elliot for jobs that included a quick escape upon completion. Elliot still felt a little oddly about the subject of the assassination, and couldn't help wonder if there was more to the story. He cleared his head however and left it for tomorrow where it belonged. He said his "byes" and "see yas" and walked out of the bar and headed for the parking garage where he saw Eva standing infront of her car. It seemed like she had already went home and changed, she stood there in a tight black mini skirt that ended about halfway to the knees, and a red halter style top with no backing other then a single tied strap. Her hair was done in a loosley curled fashion with the usual touches of make-up and seductive smelling perfume that Eva liked using. She dangled her right high heel off her toes as she leaned against the car. Elliot stared at her and measured her with his eyes literally from head to toe, ideas flashed through his mind of just tossing her on top of the hood of the car right there and treating himself to her like an ice cream sundae then finishing it off with a dip.Eva grinned at him and giggled seeing the look on Elliot's face. "You're right on time, I just got back and was about to walk in." she said, tossing him her keys. He caught them and walked over to her. "Standing out her by yourself wearing something like that, huh?" Elliot asked, semi-rhetorically. "Ha, because i'm such easy prey." Eva said, confident that she could beat the everloving crap out of anyone that tried to take advantage of her. She smiled up at him and walked around to the passenger side of the car. Elliot started thinking he should have made Jack fill his car up with gas too since they were taking Eva's. He unlocked the door and stepped in. * * * * * OOC: Acheron, figured now's the time to take care of any pre-mission details before the next day. I'll leave that to you since the assassination job is your brainchild. The next day should start up after my next post (not sure if Kitty will be able to post or not, she's out of town for the weekend), if she dosn't by tomorrow though i'll finish it up anyways. Raiha
Two Years Ago Sabine swung her leg around the pole, flipping her hair behind her and arching her back so her hips slid up the cool metal, showing off rather blatantly for her clients. Nicholas and, Elliot was it? ...watched, one sipping his drink, one with a slow smile. Both were drinking, one more heavily than the other, but both obviously celebrating. Sabine flicked her hair over one eye and smiled at both, rubbing her breasts against the pole. Arching one eyebrow, she turned her attention to the older man, the one who didn't have a drink in his hands. "So...what brings you and your partner out tonight?" She placed her back to the pole and slowly slid down until she was resting with her legs wide open. Her voice was slow and soft, but still she was capable of being heard over the music. "We filled a big order at work, decided to celebrate a bit." "Lovely. And by the way..." She reached a perfectly tanned arm forward to pluck the cigarette out from between Nicholas's fingers. "...Smoking is very bad for you." Nicholas chuckled as Sabine took a long, slow drag, before exhaling just as slowly in his face. She placed it back into his hand and turned to face Elliot. He took a sip from his SoCo, watching her slowly grind against the pole, his ears barely registering the strains of "Push It" in light of the current view. "How's the celebration going for you?" Elliot considered several responses, which was considerably more difficult than it was around the usual hooker. Somehow the advent of having a famous stripper's behind moving dangerously close to his face limitted him to a few responses. Of course, as soon as she slipped her thong to one side, giving him a flash of pink, his mouth was miraculously restored to full working order. "It's coming along nicely." Elliot slapped Sabine's ass playfully, propelling her back towards the pole. She giggled, taking the hint and returning to what she was being paid for. Straddling it, she did a slow slide down, turning to blow a sultry kiss towards Nicholas before removing her bra. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Present Day Sabine turned to face Methais Corbin, her expression perfectly delightful, her thick blonde hair standing out in stark contrast to the dark walls. They had the room completely to themselves, with his bodyguards standing outside, experiencing a certain lack of funds that would've otherwise meant that they could've been watching Sabine give their boss VIP treatment. Corbin ran his hands up and down Sabine's wide hips, careful to not go further than what he'd paid for. She smiled and let him get away with it, rubbing her chest over his face, letting his lips brush against a very pink nipple. Her black lace up bra was lying abandoned on the floor, while her panties had already been yanked dangerously to one side, exposing flesh soaked with sweat. Not only was the room several degrees above 75 Farenheit, but both dancer and client were not exactly at 98.6. As a matter of fact, Sabine wasn't the only person in the room sweating, even if she was the one doing all the work. She let Corbin put his lips to her ear while simultaneously slipping half a G into her hand. "A downpayment, for this job." He followed with a small folded piece of paper. Sabine turned and sat down in his lap, letting him observe her back while she read to herself. Considering, she turned to look over her shoulder at him, mind calculating slowly. ....."5,000 to kill an up and coming drug runner trying to edge his way into Corbin's business.... Hell why not? "I'll do it." Corbin smiled her, while she hid her disgust. Personally, she had never met a more oily individual, much less one that had been convicted for more than one rape in his lifetime. However much of a tail-hound he might be, however much alcohol he might've ingested, it wasn't worth his life to try and push the limit with Sabine. Not only would her death spark quite an investigation and a bit of an outcry, she could also make him eat his hands. Preferring to keep them attatched so as to better feel up his employee, Corbine returned his thoughts to her breasts, which were now so close to his face you could've inserted one, but not two sheets of paper between the bare flesh. She stroked one hand down the side of his face, rubbing her fingertips against his well groomed hair, and trailing her fingers to the edge of his extremely well cut and extraordinarily expensive suit. Sabine put her hand on his cheek and raised his head so he could look into her eyes. "But you'll owe me."
Kitty
"You need somethin'?" Alex asked, eyeing her hungrily. Eva was used to, and secretly fond of, the looks she received from him and other men like him, despite her knowledge that they were merely lustful pricks with pretty faces. But she was not there to take the place of the unconscious woman she had just pulled off of him and dropped on the floor. She had plans with Elliot, not Alex, she reminded herself quietly. "No. Just came by to check up on you. You seemed mopey today," she said slowly, tracing small circles on his chest. He grabbed her hand to make her stop and she frowned. The look on his face was his answer. He always seemed mopey, she decided in thought. "Fine, fine. But I swear, I only came by to make sure you hadn't died of alcohol poisoning or something. Anyway, I'm out of here." She stood up to leave and walked to the door before pausing and looking back at the practically motionless girl and sighed. But the thoughts slowly surfacing in her mind were quickly shoved away with a shake of her head. She made a few more comments about his habits before leaving, not bothering to hear the drunken man's reply. She walked to her car and swerved out of the parking lot, caring little about the others out driving on the streets. She stopped at her house and changed, taking quite a while to decide on what to wear. She finally chose to wear something plenty revealing, but that covered enough of her up to leave any man drooling and begging for more. She confidently flipped her hair over her shoulder as she walked away from her mirror and out the door. Eva drove back to HQ and just as she got out of her car, she saw Elliot walking through the door. She giggled quietly to herself, pleased with the look she received. Elliot was a good man, and she knew him longer than she knew anyone else at Sinister Nation. While she viewed her co-workers as siblings of sorts, being the 'adopted children' of the late Nicholas Fargo, she had always been attracted to Elliot, and she was starting to realize he had known this all along. "You're right on time, I just got back and was about to walk in," she smiled, throwing her keys towards him. He caught them and replied, grinning as he walked up to her. "Standing out her by yourself wearing something like that, huh?" "Ha, because I'm such easy prey," she said sarcastically, her confidence in her brawling ability flashing through her mind. The two got in the car and drove off, though Eva started complaining about Elliot's more controlled driving soon after they left the parking garage. "And what's wrong with not running everyone else off the road?" Elliot asked, raising an eyebrow. Eva paused for a moment to think before huffing at him and pretending to turn her attention out the window. Her acting fooled him, and out of the corner of her eye she saw his mouth open and close as he turned towards her to say something, but returned to the wheel shortly after. He didn't want the evening to be spoiled so soon. Eva, seeing his efforts as cute, turned from the window and fell onto his lap, startling him so much he had to make several drastic swerves of the steering wheel before they were back on the right side of the road again. "What was that for?" he asked, though she did not answer him as she began feeling up his thigh, smiling up at him. He was hesitant until finally telling her they were almost to the club, and he needed to concentrate on the road. She fake pouted again, but figured he was right and pulled herself out of his lap. Bored, she began staring out the window. She had noticed, since Fargo's death, Elliot had changed the most. It was subtle things, as only a few of the remaining members noticed them, but aside from SN's founder, Elliot was the one Eva had known the longest. "Do you remember the very first thing you told me?" Eva asked suddenly, catching Elliot by surprise. He was silent for a minute before chuckling quietly, though his embarrassment flashed across his face for a moment. "Of course I do? But I-I'm sorry, Eva. Really, I didn't mean to insult you like tha-" he began, but he was cut off by her giggling. The two of them hadn't talked about the day they met much at all. After she was brought back to HQ, Elliot was charged with showing her around, and he tried to start a conversation, but he . She had at first taken offense to it, and refused to speak to him for the next week. As a result, of course, she got lost several times as she explored the building, but she was too proud to ask anyone for directions. "You said? 'You don't seem like the kind of girl that ends up in a whore house'," she continued absent-mindedly, her eyes still not focused. Elliot blushed a bit while she spoke, and stumbled over what to say next. She blinked a few times before turning to face him and she smiled. "You really don't know how to talk to girls," she teased. He let out a sigh, shaking his head as he laughed. "No, I guess I don't," he rolled his eyes jokingly. The two arrived at the club minutes later, and spent the first hour or so chatting at the bar. It took her a while, but Eva eventually managed to convince Elliot to join her on the dance floor. Grabbing his hands, she dragged him from his seat and pulled him behind her. But before the two even began dancing, a gunshot was heard, followed by the screams of others. While most people headed for the exits, the two SN members went towards the danger. Eva impatiently blew her bangs out of her face, angry that their dancing had been interrupted. "Hey buddy, leaving so soon?" Eva shouted, her annoyance accenting her tone. A man stood hunched over, the hand holding his gun shaking from the adrenaline and shock from what he had just done. She glanced over at the bar to see the bartender dead, and she frowned. He often gave her free drinks, and any one that gave Eva free liquor was okay in her book. She walked over towards the man, calmly telling him to put down the gun. But as she got within his reach, he grabbed her suddenly, catching her off-guard, and pulled her against him, holding his gun at her temple. Elliot had, by now, pulled out his gun and was pointing it at the man. "I'm leaving, and I don't want anyone to follow me. If you take one step, pal, your girlfriend here will be just another stain on the wall. Got it?" the man asked. He tried to sound menacing, but his nervousness was still obvious. "Fine, just let her go." "Not until I'm out that door and in my car, bub," he spat. Eva rolled her eyes at the drunken man's ignorance. Elliot sighed and took a step forward, dropping his gun off to the side to look like an accident and rushing towards it. The man, eyes focused on Elliot, was distracted long enough for Eva to twist her way out of his grip and disarm him before she started beating him. Elliot laughed as he watched, and pulled her away just before she could crush his face with one of the stools she had grabbed. Gun in hand, he pointed it at the guy's head as Eva pulled him up by the collar. "Tell me why I shouldn't kill you right now for being a nuisance," Elliot barked. "I work for the Murdocks!" the man cried out in fright, hoping it would intimidate the two of them enough to leave him be. When he saw they weren't as impressed as he had hoped they would be, he continued. "If you kill me, they'll hunt you down for sure! You sure you wanna risk that? You wouldn't last a day with them after you." "You idiot," Eva growled, pulling him up to her face. She stared at him intensely, making him flinch every time she blinked. Finally, she threw him back against the bar, spitting at him. "I'll give you a head start," she grinned, cracking her knuckles. The man struggled to find his balance before running as fast as he could towards the exit. The nightclub was now empty, with the exception of Eva, Elliot and the dead bartender. Eva ran her fingers through her hair with a bored look before jumping over the counter and rummaging through the drinks. Elliot raised an eyebrow and asked her what she was doing, though he knew the answer. "Free booze, babe," she said, grinning wide as she found several bottles of bourbon and vodka. She proceeded to guzzle one down, placing the others on the counter for later. Elliot sighed, looking around and wondering who would be cleaning up the place. As his eyes scanned the floor, he spotted a small piece of paper where the man had been thrown moments ago. He picked it up and read it as Eva climbed back over the counter, now working on her third bottle. "Whazzat?" she asked, her words already slurring.
Kenso
"Ugh, you guys are pathetic. She's not even hot!" Clyne said, as she spun all the way around in her stool, now looking in Elliot's general direction. With that, Kenso was inclined to agree, but hey, it was fun anyway. It's not like they were the ones doing her. She was too blonde, too much of a wall decoration, too Barbie. Just not Kenso's type, unless he was having a really bad week. "Well, maybe if we got you to pose instead, the pictures would look better." In an effort to save his nerves, he ducked behind Virgil. He was just playing with Clyne, and everyone knew it, but he still didn't want to get hit again. That was the disadvantage of hanging with a bunch of assassins. They all knew exactly where to hit. Kenso kept one eye on Clyne as he looked away, a fact that did not slip Virgil's attention. "You could just ask her out you know." Kenso glared at Virgil, but said nothing, and the glare didn't hold much conviction. Kenso never could decide whether he preferred Eva or Clyne for looks, but he'd long ago decided that he'd never want to date Eva. She'd be fun for the occasional romp, but not to date. Clyne might just be worth the effort. He downed the whiskeys. Elliot turned to Lysander and Kenso. "You guys stock the cars and put together the goods for tomorrow. Mrs. Fairfield wants us on an early start," he said to them. "Don't worry 'bout a thing, I'll smooth out the details and we'll be ready to go whenever. You just relax for once, alright?" Lysander replied, giving him an assuring thumbs up. Clyne looked over at them from her stool and rolled her eyes. "You know you guys should probably turn in early today too, if we're going to do this on time." she said, adjusting the goggles on her head. "Us? What about you?" Kenso inquired. "What do you mean what about me? I'm never late, you guys on the other hand..." "We'll be fine! I just bought a new alarm clock," Lysander said in a joking tone. "Hm, unless it has an arm that reaches out and bashes you on the head to wake you up, I don't feel too reassured." Clyne said, placing her right hand on her hip. Kenso chuckled. "I think they still fail to make them to avoid getting sued. It's too bad, as Lysander here could really use one." Kenso watched as Elliot left. At least someone would enjoy the night. He felt a nudge from Virgil's elbow. "Now or never." Kenso stood and left the bar, heading for the office he knew the planning would be in. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ An hour after Elliot left with Eva... "Okay," Lysander said to Kenso and Clyne in a secluded office on the second floor. "How do we even know that Natalie's grandfather is even in the Mafia? I haven't seen the slightest hint of Mafia activity since I've lived here." He had a pretty good feeling he knew this was heading towards something, but he was still buzzing a bit from downing both whiskeys so fast, so he was a little slow on the uptake. "Exactly." Lysander said, banging his hand on the oak table from the exact thought Kenso and Lysander had. "She was definitely 'serene' about the ordeal." "...Isn't the girls name Serena?" Clyne interjected. Kenso and Lysander looked at each other before looking at Clyne. Now it clicked, even through the whiskey. Lysander beat Kenso to speaking. "You think 'Serena' is a fake name?" Kenso thought about it. "If it is... then her entire story is fake as well." "..." "Clyne, can you do me a favor and go to the main computer where all the information is being kept? I want you to cross-check her facial records with an identity. I know she told us her name but chances are that name is fake too." Lysander said. "No problem." Clyne said, already going to the third floor to the main CPU. "The whole story sounded kind of fishy anyway." Kind of fishy? I'd say more than kind've, but whatever. "And Kenso, can you gather up the equipment we'll need for the mission? Grab Clyne a sniper rifle too if you will." "No problem." Kenso left the room quickly, following Clyne until they reached the staircase, then going down. It was one of Kenso's quirks. He never used elevators. They left you too vulnerable, too open to attacks and sabotages. It used to be that he'd never use them on missions, but for the last 3 or 4 years, he'd just stopped using them entirely. He smiled as he entered the armory, breathing in the scent of the well-cleaned, oiled weaponry. His first order of business was Clyne's sniper rifle. He chose a Dakota T-76 Longbow, a nice accurate model with an absolutely crazy range. It was one of the better looking sniper rifles, and to Kenso, aesthetics mattered. Beyond that, it was typical fair. He grabbed two smoke and two percussion grenades for everyone, then four additional fragmentation grenades, plus grenade belts. He doubted they'd need the fragmentation grenades, but one never knew. He grabbed three more pairs of the goggles like what Clyne wore. For some reason, Clyne wore them all the time, which was somehow strange but cute, but on missions, they really were useful, especially when they didn't truly know what they were going into. He headed for the multitudes of sneaking suits in the armory, but stopped, remembering that just about everyone in SN kept one in their closet, including Kenso. Beside, this mission was likely to end up a guns-blazing type, so there probably wouldn't be a point. Kenso himself was more likely to go in wearing slightly modified and fitted urban BDUs. Normal weapons he didn't need to grab. Everyone kept their preferred weaponry with them or in their own bedrooms at all times, for protection reasons. He did, however, grab four Brьgger Thomet MP9s, with 9 additional extended clips for each, plus one pre-loaded, all with full accessories [the second picture in the link]. Kenso didn't usually believe in carrying so many weapons, but this looked like it could get really messy. Kenso left the armory carrying a rather large box and a sniper rifle on his back. He made his way up the stairs, heading to the third floor and the main CPU. As he approached the door, Virgil's words echoed in his head. "Now or never." He walked in the door, pulling up a seat next to Clyne. "Find anything interesting? And, well, would you be interested in maybe going for dinner tomorrow night?" He knew he should be working on the cars, but he did have time yet, and he wanted to know who else was driving, or if they wanted him to drive and they were going in with something bigger. With this crew, it was usually him driving, but he thought they might want at least one other person driving so they could use faster vehicles, just in case it got messy. "Oh, and do you want to drive a second car, or are we just going to use me and a truck?" He knew he could handle one of the bigger vehicles (all modified of course) well enough to escape, but he also knew that sometimes other SN members just didn't want to trust in one wheelman. Sakura
After talking to Elliot... Clyne left the bar soon after Elliot did for his date with Eva. She agreed to meet with Lysander and Kenso later in the mission briefing office in an hour, sure that she'd be done with her work with Irina by then. Leaving her stool she wandered over to the table where Irina still sat with Logan. Apologising to Logan she dragged Red away and the two headed toward the SN HQ. While they walked, Clyne's hand rested on the handle of the gun in her right holster, it was habitual and also comforting. "I don't think the system will be that hard to crack, I'm sure I could have done it on my own." Irina said, glancing at Clyne from the corner of her eyes. She shrugged, "Still, doesn't hurt to have someone else for second opinions, help if needed, and just support." Red opted to take the elevator up to the third floor, Clyne preferred the stairs and jogged up them swiftly, humming brightly to herself. Scaling stairs was fun for her now, she enjoyed the exercise immensely and she constantly tested her skills by being as silent up them as possible but still trying to get up them as quickly as she could. Sometimes also testing her balance by walking on the handrails and swinging herself around the levels. She arrived at the third floor, entering the door and seeing Red already seating herself. Clyne hopped over and pulled a chair beside Irina's, sitting on it backwards and leaning her arms on the backrest. She watched as the newer member logged onto the database, entering the piggyback system they'd installed. The screen filled with a series of codes and numbers and plenty of jargon as they hit the security program of TPD. Clyne stared at the screen, her eyes running across the lines as Red did the same thing. There was a pen and paper beside her, she picked up the writing instrument and started to twirl it between her fingers, looking at the screen again before scribbling a bunch of things on her paper, scripts for the computer to follow in order to crack the security system. "Pass me the keyboard." she asked quickly, tucking the pen behind her ear as she accepted the tool. Her fingers flew across the keys, eyes following the letters as they flowed onto the screen. Red examined the sheet she'd written on and pointed out some quick things to add that may play some importance. Typing everything the two held their breath as she hit enter, grinning as they were allowed entrance. They replaced the piggyback system to the updated one of Traydor Police Department's. "Hm, I think that's it for tonight. Something new might come up tomorrow though. I guess we'll have to wait and see." Clyne stretched, sliding the keyboard back into place and putting her chair away. She put down her pen and picked up her paper, pushing it through the shredder. The scripts could be thought up again quickly, but if other people had access to the system that wasn't part of SN, that'd be bad. Red had left with a quick goodbye, which Clyne didn't really mind as she noticed it was time to meet with the guys. After splitting to find info on "Mrs Fairfield"... Clyne sighed as she found herself back to the computer, only half an hour from when she'd been in the same spot with Red. She drummed her fingers against the table as faces and rap sheets flicked on the screen as she scanned through the TPD database for their client's real identity. Finally it stopped and the screen announced that there were 12 matches to what she had searched for. Pulling the pictures up in rows she easily chose out their client, selecting it. With a grin she looked at the sheet of details all about this woman. An image of the client filled half of the page.
Name: Savannah Morgan Age: 32 Family: Heise Morgan (Grandfather - Mafia), Steven Morgan (Father - Deceased), Aurora Morgan (Mother - Deceased), Julia Morgan (Younger Sister - Deceased) Crimes: - Drug Trafficing - Danger to Pedestrians - Driving Infringements - Loss of License on several occassions - Second Degree Murder (4) - Theft and Assault - Grand Theft Auto
She looked at the rest of the sheet, describing her background and saying she had connections with notorious Crime Lords, the mafia, and interestingly; the Murdoch Brothers. Kenso entered at that time just as she leaned back, staring at the face of the client, there was no mention of a daughter anywhere, meaning Serena Fairfield was someone else. "Find anything interesting? And, well, would you be interested in maybe going for dinner tomorrow night?" he asked, pulling over a chair. "Interesting? Well, Serena Fairfield isn't her daughter, and she's connected to the Murdoch Brothers, which are suspects for the murder of Nicholas...Wait, dinner? Uh, sure...I always have time for nights off." she grinned. "Hmm, that is interesting. And great, I'll figure out the plans and let you know. Oh, and do you want to drive a second car, or are we just going to use me and a truck?" "Um, I think I'll drive. That way if I get stuck you guys can leave." she nodded. "Alright, let's go down and let Lysander know. By the way, this' for you." he indicated to the Longbow across his back. "Sweet, love using the Dakota." she chuckled as the two made their way down the stairs together, Clyne playing around them as she usually did.

Raiha
Nathaniel Greyson came back to his studio apartment, unlocking the door, and sliding through, dropping his breifcase to the floor as he did. While he stood there, rubbing his eyes while leaning against the closed door, he sighed a little. It wasn't easy trying to move in on the Corbin ...cartel...for lack of a better word. But what was that horribly enticing smell? "Hello Mr. Greyson. I've been waiting for you." Greyson's ears twitched and he looked up hurridly, flicking on the light. Sabine, of Las Vegas fame, was sprawled semi naked across his bed, wearing very little except black strappy heels, fishnets, garter belt, and black lace panties. She was propped up on one elbow, eyeing him the way a cat does a mouse.' It spoke volumes of Greyson's intelligence, that he did not run screaming out the door the minute he comprehended the gravity of the situation. But by the time it had finally processed in his slightly drug hazed mind, he didn't care enought to protest. Who would protest when soft, feminine hands were caressing every bit of him? "So, what are you doing in here?" His words sounded slightly slurred, but that might've been because Sabine had already undressed him and was rubbing his back with what was probably some kind of floral massage oil. "I'm a present of course. Someone you know sent me here just for you." "Just for me, eh?" "Just for you." She smiled what would've been a black widow spider smile to someone not taken in by her charms. To Greyson, it was a smile that begged, "Please take advantage of me. I'm helpless. I need you." Greyson was only too obliging, but by the time he'd got up to make his move, Sabine had whipped his hands off of her hips and hurled him off the bed and onto the floor. Thinking she was only playing, he stood up and came towards her again, only to discover that she was no longer lounging around lazily, but instead holding what could've only been a throwing knife. "I confess that the person who sent me to you wasn't a friendly sort of person." Sabine was now smiling again, but it didn't quite reach her eyes like a real smile would've. Greyson's mouth moved, but no sound came out except for what could've been a weak stutter. "Mr. Corbin doesn't like bad boys who try to move in on his territory. And you've been a very, very bad boy." At this point, Mr. Greyson had shuffled in his pants for his handgun and pointed it at Sabine directly, backing away slowly. She smirked at him and threw the first knife. He fired off two random, wild shots half a second later, both going wild, but not stopping Sabine from throwing herself off the bed and towards her jacket, which held her other knife. The first had already lodged itself in Mr. Greyson's chest, and she picked up the second. Stalking towards his prone form, she leaned down and removed the first knife, holding it in her left hand. A respectable amount of blood spurted from his chest, but not enough to kill him right away. "So, Nathaniel, have we learned anything today?" He nodded as vigorously as he could, but Sabine wasn't about to let him off the hook anymore than she was about to refuse her payment, just because it was in pounds sterling and not U.S. currency. She grinned at him and stabbed downward into a place rather symmetrical to the first cut in his chest. Then she decided to end it quickly for the poor fool and swiftly cut his throat in a wide arc, severing his cartoid aterey and leaning back to avoid the hefty fountain of blood. "This concludes this evening's lesson." She added several new lacerations after his throat had finished gushing everywhere, careful not to step in any large pools of blood. After mutilating his face beyond recognition, she turned and headed towards his bathroom to wash up. The hot water washed away the smell of Greyson's blood, his dirty bedsheets, and the stink of his sweat. Using what must have been the only clean towel in the entire building, she dried herself, and dressed in the clean clothes she had cleverly brought along. Wrapping herself up in a warm trench coat, she put her remaining clothes in her purse and slipped in her stilettos. She turned and surveyed Mr. Grayson's mutilated corpse. He lay sprawled out face up, stark naked, in the middle of his apartment...and Sabine wouldn't have had it any other way. She exited the apartment the way she came, locking the door behind her and walking down the concrete steps to her car. Once inside the warm and relatively dry interior, she turned to one of Corbin's handlers and held out her right hand. He dropped in a hefty envelope, bulging with cash, and she smiled prettily at him. He smiled back and left the car through the passenger's side, leaving her to her own devices.
TheResplendent
I hoisted the last body up over my shoulder and tossed it aside into the water. There really wasn't much time to properly clean up...but this would atleast create the illusion of a clean scene. I brushed my hair back with my hand, which was clean of blood stains, unlike my cheek. That girl was a formidable bodyguard, but nothing i couldn't handle. She got a good, clean cut in on my cheek...it was a little awkward fighting against a female, i'll have to admit that i felt i needed to hold back a little bit...but i did get that shot in on her face. It was really more of an accident...but i guess it was Nicholas's voice in my head repeating to me "No matter who it is that is standing opposite of you, if they are trying to kill you, you kill them first!". I adjusted my coat and walked quickly back to the car where Nicholas was already waiting. Out of the corner of my eye, i saw her. She was walking very quickly up to me, like she was ready to launch some kind of attack. Her hair was messy and blowing with the wind, her goggles hanging around her neck from the scuffle no doubt, and a nice big red mark on her face where my fist made contact. Suppose now that her employer had left her behind, she was gonna compensate by trying to take me out. "Hey! What's your name!?" she asked. I raised an eyebrow at her, there was plenty of tension in her voice but her body language eased moments after her question. I eased my hand off the trigger of my gun and responded. "Elliot..." "Elliot huh...you've got some uncanny skills...i assume the man in the car is your boss. You work for a mercenary company don't you?" "Yes...Sinister Nation is what it's called" "Let me join. I've got nowhere else to go, and i refuse to berate myself by going back to my former employer and running the risk of getting killed." "Um...that's rather blunt of you, figured you would have had more discretion with a question like that" "Got no time for discretion. Look...my name is Clara...but you can call me Clyne." I was about to respond when Nicholas's voice from behind me intervened. "Clyne then? Well, welcome to the company. I expect good things from both of you. After I get Ms. Clyne here settled in, you two will be doing a lot of work together i'm sure." He said, shaking Clynes hand. I just watched in amazement at how easily Nicholas accepted her. But then again, was that any more sudden as how he accepted me...? Nicholas...you always took a chance on us, how fortunate we really are. I looked down at Clyne's feet and noticed her her jacket on the floor. I bent down and picked it up for her, looking at the bigger pictures now. I handed it to her, she turned to me like a snap in her neck and in a single motion grabbed it from me and belted me one in my face. Damn...she sure hit harder then her small frame let on...but why the hell...oh right, i guess she felt much better now. "Now we're even...partner" she said, as she opened the back door of the car and got in. * * * * * Elliot looked at the paper and read it, his face wore a confused look as it seemed like he couldn't read what was on it. Eva looked over the bar after taking another sip straight from a bottle of bourbon. "Whazzat?" she asked, her words already slurring. "Nothing...just some gibberish that guy dropped" Elliot answered, crumpling it and pocketing it. Eva raised her eyebrow, though buzzed she was still somewhat perceptive to detail. "Gibberish huh? Then...why are you keeping it?" she asked, hopping onto the bar. She spun around and sat there, keeping a slightly open position with her legs, giving Elliot a nice view of the black lace underneathe the skirt. Elliot stood from his kneeling position and walked over to her. "Hey, we should get out of here. The TPD will be here any second now and the last thing we need is run in with them." Elliot said. He was dodging Eva's question, but his suggestion wasn't exactly devoid of logic either. Eva nodded and they both ran out of the club to the car. Elliot got behind the wheel and looked over at Eva who was playing with her hair a bit while looking into the rear view mirror. Most people would think it odd that Elliot wouldn't ask if Eva was alright or not. As was clearly demonstrated though, Eva was quite capable of taking care of herself. Elliot had come to expect it, it happened often enough when he and Eva would go out together, or even when Sinister Nation was out as a group. Someone who looked like Eva was bound to appear like an "easy target" to most men. Eva usually beat the guy so bad, Elliot felt no need to torture them further. Eva looked over at him and smiled. "Sorry bout that..." she said, seemingly clear-headed enough to articulate herself well. "Sorry? About what?" Elliot asked, taking a brief second after inserting the ignition key. "You must be...getting pretty tired of not being able to play the part of "knight in shining armor" for me...hehe..." Elliot closed his eyes and laughed breifly and subtly to himself. He knew it was another reference from the past. The first time something like this had happened actually. Eva always reminded Elliot how cute it was when he tried to threaten the guy who had Eva bent over a table by her hands with a gun to her head, threatening to "have his way" with her then kill her if Elliot didn't hand over a briefcase full of money. Eva ended up tripping the guy's leg out from under him and pressing her knee against his throat while commencing to breaking almost every bone in his face. It was then Elliot said to her, "Well...i guess that leaves me being your knight in shining armor out of the question." Elliot looked over and was about to respond, but was cut off by a group of sirens as 4 TPD cars pulled over infront of the club behind them. "Great...speedy response too...when the hell did they become so astute?" Elliot muttered as he turned the ignition on hoping to get out of there. He turned the wheel and made the closest left turn, almost hitting 60 MPH. Coming to the intersection of the next block, he was cut off and nearly hit by a metallic silver BMW crossing his path. Both cars swirved, as their paths were routed but both continued to drive. Elliot caught her eye briefly when the driver side windows crossed in a parallel matter. A hint of hazel behind some strands of blond hair. It seems as if his gaze was returned as well, like an intangible wall of tension. "What the hell...looks like we're not the only ones in a hurry. Crazy bitch." Elliot said, regaining control of the car. "Hm, and you say i'm a bad driver?" Eva teased. Elliot later pulled up infront of Eva's apartment. She seemed to sober up already, but still kept a healthy buzz. Because of their haste with getting out of the club she hadn't consumed nearly as much as she could have. It was rather convenient actually for them to take only one car whenever they went somewhere, because they lived within 6 blocks of each other. Whoever's house they pulled up infront of, the other could just walk home. They parked and stepped out of the car, Elliot walked around and stood next to Eva. She looked up at him and giggled a bit. She wrapped her arm around the small of his back and reached up to his cheek and gave it a kiss. "You better go get some rest, you have quite a day ahead of you." she said. Elliot smiled at her as she started to walk away from him toward her building. She gave a few sexy wiggles with her ass, knowing Elliot was watching her. Elliot waited for her to get in, then started walking toward his place. He pulled out his cell at the end of the block and started to dial. "What's up?" the voice on the other side of the phone said. "Clyne...are you near a computer?" Elliot asked. "Elliot? What happened, thought you and Eva were...um...well you know...going out? Clyne answered. "I just dropped her off...look i need you to check something for me really quick ok?" Elliot said, reaching in his pocket and pulling the paper he had picked up out. "Um, sure hold on.........alright, go ahead." "Put this address in and tell me what it is. 4008 Milliard, it should be somewhere in T-4." Elliot explained. He waited a few minutes while Clyne looked up the information. "Yeah, 4008 Milliard, S301 T-3. It's vacant property, it's been for 8 months now. Used to be that big executive dining hall. All the big cheeses of the D district used it as a meeting place for banquets and what not. Says here the owner sold it, but the business that was started there moved to another location 2 months later." "I see...alright, thanks." "Hey wait, why did you want to know?" Clyne asked out of curiosity. "No reason really. Just got a tip from some guy." he explained, thinking that it was probably meaningless. "Hm..alright, if you say so. We're just about finished here by the way, we'll be ready to go in the morning. So get a good sleep ok?" "Yeah...i'll see you guys then. Night." Elliot said as he hung up the phone and walked into his apartment. There were more pressing matters to worry about at the moment. Elliot needed to focus on the mission for the next day, with a good nights rest. * * * * * OOC: Ok, end of day 1. Let the events of the next day begin at anytime =).
Veritas
"Whoa whoa! I'm not letting you stuff yourself in there doing this stuff now, you have a date to get to." Jack knew with his share of women over the years, but anymore then a month without having sex was too long a break for anybody. Turning Jack went through the doors to HQ, the box well balanced between both arms. Logan followed him a little ways back, her face as unreadable as ever. Turning toward the elevator he hit the down button with his knee, leaning against the wall as he waitied for it to reach the floor. "Wait, what the hell am I doing, damn I left those girls, eh easy come easy go, I wonder what we have in here" Jack rambled, peering into the box as he finished. "Don't get any ideas" Logan stated in a quiet firm tone. "Right, Right, you act like I'm a Murdock bother" Jack replied with a grin, earning no reaction. "Ouch, tough crowd" The chime of the elevator ender their small talk, as they stepped silently on. A lot of the Sin member wouldn't use elevators, Jack had no love for them really, confined spaces were something you learned to avoid in his line of work, but it was better then walking the stairs with the box in hand. The door opened to the central area that connected the store rooms. A large table sat in the middle, chairs off to the side, nothing glitsy or glamourous, purely functional. This is where you checked stuff in or out, though most the older members rarely used it for checking out, they had what they needed lying around usually, just in case. Setting the box on the table Jack flipped it on its side, the contents spilling out on the table. "Shouldn't you be more careful with that, you don't know whats in there" Logan said pulling up two seats to the table. "Eh, too late to worry about now" Jack answered taking the chair from her and sitting on it with the back forward. "Hmmm wow they've got some prett good shit in here, Hollow Points, Armor Piercing, Incendiary Rounds, some tuning kits, mod kits, HK-5k sweet, and what the fuck, Rubber Bullets. What the hell would we need that for, hmm maybe I'll take a few of the Hollows, AP's and Incediary's" Jack said rumaging his throught the spilt Items, hovering over the ammunition. "Don't even think about it, you want it, then buy it yourself" Logan scolded, shooting daggers at Jack with her gaze. "It was a joke, your no fun" He said pulling out the check list, "Ok read the stuff off to me, lets get this over with" "Right, joke" She rolled her eyes before grabbing a reciting a item, and its quanity. ++++++++++++++++ A few hours later Walking up the stairs Jack stretched his arms over his head, drawing a slight grunt. Octavia ghosted ahead of him leaving giving him a nod as she walked away. Tilting his head, Jack's eyes followed her ass as she walked away. She didn't turn around, but she made a clicking noise as if scolding, "Hey it's a compliment, a nice ass is a nice ass" He thought to himself walking towards Elliot's desk checklist in hand. Setting the papers on his desk, in a swift movement Jack pulled out his pistol discharging a round, and catching it in a swift motion. Setting it lightly on the paper he looked down at the Hollow Point round before he turned to leave, that was his signature, letting whoever know it was from him, not neccesary cause Elliot already knew the report was from him. Just as smoothly the pistol was back in it's holster on Jack's lower back, it's mate thier waiting. In truth he had the skills to be an assassin, not the best marksman, but good enough to not need a second shot in most cases. That and his natural ability to infiltrate places, and avoid attention would make him a deadly hire, but Fargo never pushed him towards it. Kenso
Elliot's call sent Clyne in an opposite direction from Kenso, who headed for the garage as they concluded their quick meeting. He wondered if he should grab any additional weapons, considering the new information they had, but then figured if anyone wanted extras they'd get them on their own. It was fairly typical on a team mission for members to go grab a couple of extra weapons based on personal taste anyway. He glanced over his shoulder for a little bit, his eyes drinking in Clyne's soft curves as she headed up the stairs towards the main CPU until she disappeared from view. Clyne was the only one of the group besides himself who could come anywhere near functioning as a wheelman. He smiled slightly. She loved her fast cars almost as much as he and Ghost did, and she could drive them. No, she wasn't as good as he and Ghost, but no one else in Sinister Nation was. Driving was their job for a reason. But Clyne came real close in the right car. As he arrived in the garage, the smile widened. His Pagani Zonda quickly came into view, always a pleasure to look at, and an even bigger pleasure to drive. It was a thing of beauty, one no other SN member touched, not even Jack, the only thing he could think of that might just look better than Clyne or Eva (though that remained debatable). Unfortunately, being a two-seat roadster, it was utterly useless for team missions. After taking in his usual fill of the gorgeous vehicle, Kenso proceeded further into the garage. It was stocked with a large number of vehicles, pretty much leaving you with a guarantee of finding what you needed. Tonight, Kenso was looking for a good weapons vehicle. Something with some space to fit their stuff in, but nothing overly obnoxious either. No Hummers for Kenso. He always found the things to be a little gaudy and rather ugly anyway. He quickly settled on a black Avalanche LTZ. This particular model was a 4x4 with ALL the options, a throwback to the good old days of cars, when engineers actually worried about making new cars instead of new weapons. Cars any more were just remakes of older models, sometimes with actual new technology. This was one of those ones with new technology, as was the Pagani. Most of the cars in the garage were. They didn't skimp on the money they spent on them. Of course, being in this garage generally meant they were further modified, but that was entirely beside the point. He smiled slightly as he heard the entrance to the garage open. Staircase, not elevator. That meant Clyne had finished with her computer business. "Pick a car yet?" she asked, her voice echoing playfully through the quiet garage. "Nope. Picked a truck. Figured I'll handle the weapons vehicle. I can use it to getaway anyway." He turned to face her, a slight smirk on his face. "I do hope whatever Elliot just dragged you away for was important. I'd hate to have to hurt him for spoiling my view for some nonsense thing. By the way, you might want to pick a getaway car. Make sure it'll fit all of us, just in case."
Sakura
Clyne was left wondering about the significance of the address Elliot had called her about. He said it was nothing as he usually did, but she knew him well and he had a hunch if not something bigger. She tried to get her mind off it, yet it plagued her. She'd been walking without paying attention and realised she had already reached the entrance to the garage, swinging the door open. She saw Kenso standing and looking at the array of cars spread out in front of them, all in a variety of shades, mostly dark colours like black, dark blue, and silver. "Pick a car yet?" she called, walking over to where Kenso stood. Make sure it'll fit all of us, just in case." Clyne laughed at his comment. Knowing that he liked her now made all these comments just as playful as before, but now with meaning added in. "Yeah, it was kinda important. Just had to check something for him." she sighed, resting her weight on her left leg and resting her right on her hip casually. She looked at all the cars, she loved all of them because they were great in their own ways, but truthfully everyone knew she preferred her sports cars over utes, trucks and vans, but she did drive them when she needed to. Her lips pursed thoughtfully, needing one to fit everyone comfortably knocked out practically all of her favourite sports cars which she usually used when it was just her and another person. "I got it. I'll take the Lancer EVO X. That'll fit the four of us, plus it's a manual with a high speed." she grinned, pointing out the sleek silver car. "Nice choice." Kenso grinned in approval. "Hmm, that should do." Clyne glanced at her watch, realising it was already ticking into early hours of the morning. "Heh, you guys should go and get some sleep. Gotta be here bright and early." "And what makes you think we won't beat you here?" he smirked. "Puh-lease. I could sleep in and still beat you guys here." Clyne laughed. "Yeah yeah. I guess I'll head off, you coming?" he asked as he walked back to the garage entrance. "Yeah, right behind you." she flicked off the lights and locked the garage door, leaving SN HQ with Kenso. "Guess I'll be seeing you in a couple of hours." he smiled. "Yup, seeya then." she playfully blew him a kiss before sliding into her Koenigsegg CCX, her pride and joy. The engine roared to life as she gunned the ignition, revving the car as she shifted it into gear and took off, lights shining through the night as she waved to Kenso for the last time, heading back home. She hit the highway because she wanted some speed, making her way up to fifth gear in a matter of seconds, the wind blew through her hair from the window as she propped her elbow on the edge. She got off and took a road back in the direction she'd come from, now actually heading home, head still buzzing about the address. "Man, I need a good sleep." she muttered. The Next Day... Clyne yawned widely as she sat up in bed, beating her alarm clock by hours, only sleeping for 2 and a half hours, she didn't know why she even bothered setting it. She turned it off anyway and ran a hand through her bed-mussed hair, rolling out from beneath her warm covers. Most of the SN members knew, but she was a perfectionist when it came to most things, including making her bed, smoothing the blanket out until there wasn't a single crease in the surface. Clyne was well awake, despite it being 3am, taking a quick shower before dressing into a pair of loose leather pants and her long sleeved, black top, pushing the sleeves above her elbows out of habit. She hummed as she pulled the goggles over her head so they hung around her neck, before pulling the goggles to rest on her head, the strap under her hair. Clyne picked up holster belt, strapping it around her waist and sliding the Jerichos into them with a twirl. She added a pouch to the belt on her back left hip, filled with more magazines and cartridges. Adding Akatsuki onto her back made her weaponry complete, then she added her watch and she was done. It was now 3:30am, she walked into the kitchen and grabbed an apple which would serve as her breakfast before she tugged on her black boots, tying them up tightly before heading out of the apartment, jostling her keys with one hand and holding her apple with the other as she jogged down the stairs to the garage. She just sat in the comfortable seat of her sleek, black vehicle as she finished the simple apple, tossing the core out as she turned on the ignition, having to turn on her lights since it was still dark at that time in the morning as she drove to SN HQ. As she guessed she was the first there, unlocking the doors and switching off the alarm system which automatically activated the motion sensor detectors around the building so it could trace where everyone was. She walked to main hall and started stretching her body, loosening her limbs in a series of movements as she awaited the other members of the mission. She was pumped and ready, she just couldn't wait to do some killing. Clyne thought about it with glee as she started doing flips and practising her ninjitsu, mixing it with all the other disciplines she knew to make it into a deadly art form.
Disenchanted
Occ: no problems shadowofdeath ^ ^ Let me know if I need to change anything guys, sorry it?s not eventful. + + + Octavia disapprovingly clicked her tongue on the roof of her mouth as she walked away from Jack, ?Hell, he is so damn hot but such a womanizer.? She thought, playing with the idea in her head. Octavia had heard him say that he was no such thing after she had accused him of being one. Jack simply retorted with ?I?m simply a connoisseur of the fine wine that is woman.? Her reply was a roll of the eyes and a sharp ?whatever.? There wasn?t a night that went buy when she didn?t see him with some random chick, sometimes more than one. She thought about blowing Jack a taunting kiss as she left but refrained and kept walking. Fair is fair, there were times when she admired his ass. ?Note to self, kiss Jack before you die.? She spoke out loud in a sarcastic tone, half giggling, to no one as she walked though the halls of SN. These days it seemed as though there were less and less protection missions going round. Everyone more or less wanted to solve their problems by killing them. But that was the way things were, naturally Octavia usually had a lot less to do than most so her time was mostly spent training. When things really got to her she would participate in an assignation but never in the actual act of killing, more in a role of protecting her team mates. She flipped a light switch as she walked into her office, she kicked off the floor as she sat down, sending her spinning in her chair. ?I?m so damn bored.? She sighed, leaning forwards, resting her elbows on the desk and her chin in her hands while swinging her chair from side to side. ~ ~ ~ ?This is boring, what am I supposed to achieve by standing on one leg?? a younger Octavia sighed as she attempted to keep her balance. Beads of swear slowly trickled down her forehead, her eyes locked forwards in concentration. ?It teaches stamina Octavia, endurance, things that you?ll need when protecting others.? he was the only one who she would let call her that. ?If you say so.? Fargo laughed softly as he observed her training, Elliot was also there watching. ?Ok enough, I?ll leave you two too it. Play nice.? Octavia chuckled as he left. ?I?ll beat you this time Logan.? Elliot taunted, Octavia?s style was allot more disciplined than Elliot?s, his was street fighting, hers was methodical, it had form and style. She would teach him to be more quick and precise with his attacks and he would teach her other things in return. She had learnt a lot from him, and him from her. ?Like hell you will Elliot.? She batted back with a smile dropping a fighting stance, he took his own. Octavia rolled her head around cracking her neck before running at Elliot and letting fly with a swift kick directed at his head. He blocked but just barely, she was damn quick, hand to hand combat wasn?t even where her true talent lay, her best work came from her sword but she never got to use it much if at all. Elliot came at her with a volley of punches but Octavia back flipped and dodged them all but the last which clipped her chin. ?Ha!? Elliot yelled mockingly, she smiled back while blocking another of his punches, and returning a kick of her own to his gut. It connected and Elliot went sprawling backwards. She was on top of him in seconds with a knee to his throat. ?I win.? She smiled while getting off him and extended her hand; he grabbed it and let her haul him up. ?I?ll get you one day Missy.? Elliot knew how much that annoyed her; she shrugged it off while reaching for a towel. ?In your dreams, Elli, in your dreams.? ~ ~ ~ ?Damn shame.? Octavia spoke out loud, red appeared in the door way with a curious look on her face. ?What?? Red tilted her head to the side. ?Nothing, I?m out of here, this place is damn boring. See you tomorrow Red, night,? Octavia said as she got up and walked out of her office switching the light off after grabbing a long black hooded leather coat. ?Night.? Octavia stepped out into the cold night air, zipping up her coat and turning up the collar. Straddling her black BMW motorcycle she put on her helmet, inserted the keys and sped off down the street. Eventually she reached her home, not that far from SN, but she took a few detours effectively taking her 2 hours to get home. Shoving her keys into the lock and kicking open the door Octavia jammed her finger down on her sound system. Loud metal pumped from the speakers, she owned the top floor of that particular apartment complex and no one ever seemed to mind her taste in muse, even if it was played so early in the morning. Closing the front door she removed her coat and walked out side thought a pair of large glass sliding doors. The rain was pelting down but Octavia didn?t care, she found the rain beautiful, she stood on the large balcony staring out at the awesome view of the city, lights flickering in the near distance and further away. Octavia sighed as she looked to the cloud covered sky, how she missed the stars. ?I hope tomorrow is more interesting.? She spoke to no one. Tekkaman
Lysander waved Kenso and Clyne goodbye while they drove out of the garage towards their homes. The cars, the equipment needed [plus some more], and the information was set and ready to go. After Elliot came to work tomorrow, the information would be given to him concernng a Miss Savannah Morgan and their game plan for defeating A.S.P.E.N. Mr. Fargo, pleased with Lysander's loyalty to the team, gave Lysander the ultimate birthday gift to him - which is also the very thing he crawled into for sleep: the 1963 Lamborghini 350 GTV - whereas only one was ever made. TheResplendent
I loaded a magazine into my desert eagle and looked over at Clyne who was cleaning off her blade, which i believe she called Akatsuki. It's already been a few months but she still hasn't seemed to open up to me yet. We only worked 3 jobs together so far and each time something went wrong with the teamwork communication. Nicholas treated it more like a joke rather then a serious issue...it was unlike him...but then again the missions weren't very serious ones...with a collection of only $8,000 between all three of them I suppose I can see how Nicholas was probably treating them like "trial jobs". The last job we took though was quite different however...Nicholas strayed from our side and Clyne and myself were left to deal with some punks who carjacked a TPD squad car. Not that we really cares that the TPD was missing a car, it just happened to be in our job description that we take out the driver and his partner. When we succeeded, we came back...and Nicholas introduced us to him... "Elliot, Clyne...this is Alex. He'll be working with us from now on." Nicholas said to us. I observed Alex...he was a mess...dressed in rags...he looked like he had been living on the streets for a long time...and I should know...the streets were my home for a long time. I could sympathize i suppose, but something about Alex never really sat well with me. "Alex huh? Well, you're a mess aren't you? You can call me Clyne...". Clyne wasn't really a poster-girl for manners...but she didn't really care what others thought of her either. Alex just nodded and turned away from us. Clyne looked over at me and shrugged, finding solace in the newfound fact that i was atleast easier to socialize with then he was. Not that Clyne needed to socialize, but when you're surrounded by the same people everyday, it helps to do your best to make the best out of it. We were still rocky, but Clyne did stop curisng me out everytime something went wrong. Alex on the other hand seemed like he had no interest in getting to know any of us. But, we wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt...just like we gave each other...just like Nicholas gave us. We learned how to be more humble toward our would be friends and allies, no matter the quirk and no matter the flaw. That was crucial in making this family as strong as it was today. * * * * * Elliot barely got any sleep after he dropped Eva off and made that call to Clyne. He awoke and turned to see the clock read 4 AM. Much earlier then he normally woke up, but Elliot found it difficult to sleep for some reason. It could have been because of the big assassination mission that awaited him in just a few hours...but with 10 years of mercenary experience, assassinations hardly shook a nerve like it used to. It could have been from the incident at the club with Eva, Elliot couldn't put to rest some suspicions about that guy's claim of working for the Murdock Brothers along with the address that he found on the paper he dropped. There was hardly enough evidence that it was significant at all pertaining to anything, but it rang a bell that was hard to silence. Elliot spun around in his bed and stood up. He walked into the bathroom and splashed some water on his face. He gazed into the mirror intently out of the bottom of his eyes and lost himself in a destitute day dream. It's been a long time since he even had the oppurtunity to have a good nights rest, and now when he's finally been granted that chance...other forces at work seemed to keep him awake. Elliot stretched out, all the muscles on his upper body flexing as he stood clad only in his boxers. Figuring now was as good of a time as any to start the new day he slipped off his boxers and turned on the shower. His mind tended to wander a lot when he was running on auto-pilot. He couldn't really explain why he was doing certain things sometimes...just like now how he wasn't sure why he had woken up so much earlier then usual. He stepped in the shower and thoughts of the older days when Nicholas taught him how to fight came into his head, followed up by some of his greater conquests...Elliot could always pinpoint his favorite missions over the years almost instantly. There was even some pretty lusty thoughts of Eva naked with him in the shower, and him ramming her against the wall as he did some ramming of his own. Elliot did always claim to do his best thinking around water. The clock read 4:25 when he finished the shower and all the morning customs that went a long with it. He figured he would have a pretty good chance of actually being the first one there this time around, but it wouldn't have surprised him if Clyne were to be there already warming up for the upcoming mission. He remembered when she always used to do that. She would take up a giant part of the HQ's main hall and just start stretching out and doing flips and flexibility exercises. Elliot remembered watching her as a guilty pleasure, afterall it wasn't like she wasn't attractive at all. She didn't seem to care much either about being seen, since she would sometimes wear things so tight and short when she warmed up that most girls wouldn't even wear them as bathing suits. But as time went on, Elliot realized that he was never really able to feel romantically about her. They've seen each other naked on several occaisions due to jobs, sudden need for changing, whatever tight situation they were in that required it...at this point it was pretty normal and all. The point of it all though was how focused Clyne has always been, never really letting petty things get to her or distract her. That's how the atmosphere in SN was most of the time, there was no place for insignificant insecurities. That was another lesson Nicholas tried to embed within all of them. Elliot threw his usual attire on and grabbed the keys to his Mazda RX8. It was the car he always kept at his place. He drove it a lot less then the Aston Martin he kept in the garage at HQ. But jobs required a lot more driving then most trips from home did. He didn't bother to eat breakfast, at least not a real big one. Elliot grabbed a cereal bar and a banana and just brought it into the car with him. The clock in his Mazda read 4:55, as he hit the streets and headed toward SN HQ. He only lived one smaller sector away, still within T-3 so the drive usually only took around 20 minutes. He pulled up to his usual spot and parked. He walked up to the side door, the entrance that the SN members knew to use when Heaven's Gate wasn't open yet. He noticed that the alarm was off and figured that Clyne had indeed gotten there first. He sighed to himself, always thinking her sleeping habits were a little creepy. He opened the door and upon taking his first step he nearly tripped on some books and a table leg that were laying infront of the door. "What the...!" Elliot cried as he caught his balance. He looked around and noticed that there was a bit of a mess in the main hall. He flicked the lights on and noticed a figure moving on the floor. She was buried underneath a bookshelf and some papers with something by her head...it looked like...a dog? "C...Clyne? What the hell happened!?" Elliot yelled as he rushed over to Clyne who was underneath the bookshelf. She elbowed the bookshelf off of her with a sudden spike of strength and reached her right hand out and grabbed a hold of something with her hand. "You...DAMN MUTT! Who the hell let this dog in here anyway!?" Clyne yelled as she held the tail of a medium sized welsh corgi in her hand. The dog tried to scurry away but Clyne had too strong of a grip on it's tail. "Uhh...Clyne? Where did the dog come from?" Elliot asked in a perplexed tone. "I don't know! I just asked that! I was doing my warm ups and exercises and I caught this thing sneaking around the HQ!" Clyne yelled in an aggravated tone. Elliot looked around the area again and noticed again how it looked like a mini hurricane had come through. "Um...what happened to the hall?" Elliot asked. "It's this....THING'S fault!" Clyne answered as she pulled the dog in and grabbed it underneath it's front paws. "Hm...you mean...that dog...beat you up?" Clyne turned to Elliot and eyed him angrily. She grabbed a nearby bucket and place it over the dog to keep him there, got up and gave Elliot a slap on his forehead. "Ow!...hey, what did I say?" Elliot said, rubbing his head. "The damn thing was sneaking around, i thought there was an intruder in the building...so i checked it out. All i really saw were it's shadows so i tried catching the damn critter and i made a bit of a mess of the place! No big deal, i caught it didn't I!? " Elliot didn't say anything else, recognizing Clyne was going into one of her hot headed moments. He saw her pick the bucket up and grab the dog again. "Damn thing, i'm getting rid of it!" she said as she started walking toward the back. "Hey! Don't do that...if it snuck in then it probably needs a home." Elliot said, reaching his hand out to stop Clyne. "So, what? You want it?" "Well...i dunno...i mean i like dogs and all..." Elliot started to say. The dog took the opportunity to kick his way out of Clyne's grip and run over to Elliot. He jumped up on him on his hind legs and starting pawing his stomach. Elliot looked down and was taken in by it's eyes. He seemed to transform all of a sudden as his facial expression lightened and he smiled. "Awww...I can't just let the little guy go back out on his own! I'll keep him!" Elliot said, grabbing the dog and picking it up to hug it. Clyne raised an eyebrow and stood there looking at Elliot with her hands on her hips. "You...get a little weird when it comes to dogs...you know that?" she said, referring to how perky Elliot seemed to all of a sudden get. The dog barked twice and started wagging his tail. Clyne rolled her eyes and started cleaning up some of the mess she had made. Some time passed as more SN members started coming in. It was around 6 now when Kenso and Virgil walked in. Elliot was sitting in one of the couches with his newfound dog by his feet, being the center of attention with Logan, Red, and Eva who were sitting in the same area as Elliot. "Awwww...he's so cute! You really just found him here when you walked in?" Eva said, petting the dog behind it's ears. "Well...Clyne found it...so to speak..." Elliot answered. "Bite me, buddy" Clyne snarled as she walked by, catching that part of the conversation. "So, what are you gonna name him?" Red asked, taking her turn to pet the dog. "Hm? I dunno...havn't really thought about it. Hm...how about Max?" Clyne turned to Elliot after hearing that and shook her head free of the less than desireable memories that shortened version of her old dog's name brought up. "NO! Make it something else!" she demanded. Everyone looked at her in a weird way, wondering what had gotten into her. "Uh...alright. Hey...i have the perfect name! I think i'll call him...Kyo!" Elliot said, picking the now named puppy up and setting him on his lap. "Kyo puppy!" Eva squealed, taking a liking to the way the name sounded. Kenso walked over with a confused look on his face, wondering why a dog was in the HQ and everyone was huddling around it. He scratched his head but then just shrugged it off. "Hey...it's time to go wake up sleeping beauty in his mobile home. Since we're all here we can get started." Kenso said, looking at his watch. "Mm, you're right. Lysander has some briefing to do. Clyne has already informed me that our suspicions of the validty of Mrs. Fairfield's identity have been confirmed." Elliot said, reverting to his mission-mode as he set Kyo down onto the floor. "Yes...Lysander will tell you the rest" Kenso said, as the three of them walked to the garage where Lysander did his usual sleeping. * * * * * OOC1: Obviously, this post leads into Acheron's. Veritas
Jack lazily rolled over in his bed half clothed, half covered by his blue comforter, the morning light illuminating his room. It was fairly large, a king sized bed taking up the middle, dark stained oak furnature, with a dark brown, light blue and lime green theme. Jack's house, well in reality it was the bottom level of an appartment, had 3 rooms 1 1/2 bath, and would shock most members of SN. It was very contemporary, and clean for the most part, the only part of his house that ever really got dirty was his room. Jack's house was something of a sanctuary for him, it held the sides of himself most people didn't know or would never guess, such as his love for art. Scultures and painting graced most walls, in fact no one from SN other than Fargo had been here. Most at SN failed to see below the surface, the front Jack put on, Fargo could see right through it, most people thought he was just a womanizing alchoholic, sometimes Jack convinced himself he was like that but there was so much more. And honestly it helped in this line of work to have most people have a false conception of who you were, even team mates, even if they were the closest you had to family, until you know you can trust them, even then you never know. Elliot seemed like he could see past Jack's wall too, part of the reason Jack thought he should be the leader, he could see past what people wanted you to see. Standing up Jack stretched his hands high above his head, grabbing a remote and turning on the CD player. Rap music began pumping throughout his house, as he slid out of his boxers making his way towards the bathroom. "What to do today, I wonder if 'Dad' knows anything about Fargo's murder" He thought turning on the steaming water. After a quick shower he walked back out into his room entering the hallway heading towards the kitchen. Reaching in the fridge Jack pulled out various fruits, two raw eggs, ice and some yogurt, throwing them in the blender. Walking away from the machine as it gound away he hummed to the music, currently 2pac - Hell for a Hustler. "Lord help me change my ways, Show a little mercy on Judgement Day, It aint me I was raised this way, I never let them play me for a buster, Making hell for a hustler" It was a mix of music, Jack liked a little of everything, but there was something that tied him to rap, mainly the struggles he himself had been though, he felt that through the music. Heading back to his room he threw off the towel, putting on a pair of underwear, he went back to grab his breakfast smoothie, taking it back to his room to finish dressing. Pulling on his shirt he grabbed his guns, still in their holsters next to a 12-Gage Mossberg 590 pump he kept by his bed. Clipping on the belt he grabbed one of his favorite black trench coats out of the closet, carrying that in one hand, the empty glass from the smoothie in the other. Setting the glass in the sink, he exited out the door leading to his private 5 car garage, even though he only kept 3 there. "Hmm what to drive, what to drive?" he questioned to himself looking over his vehicles. He had quite a collection, nothing too fancy, though a admirable grouping of cars for one person, especially all of them being customized. All of them were here except his WRX Impreza STI, he cept that at HQ. The rest of his vehicles were a BMW M5, a Yamaha R1 bullet bike, and his recently aquired 07' Shelby Cobra, not the original but fast and fun to drive. The garage at HQ had a wide selection of cars, from vans to trucks, all the way to motorcycles, but Jack liked to drive his own cars, as a wheelman you just get attached. Grabbing the keys to the Cobra he opened up the garage door, backing out slowly he closed the garage door by remote. Waiting till the door fully shut before he sped out into traffic, it was only a short distance to HQ. Pulling into the garage Jack parked his car, stepping out quickly, and making a gun with his finger and shooting it at Kenso, Clyne, Elliot, and Lysander. "Why do they get the good missions, today better be a good day" He thought grumpily walking into HQ. "Woah, what the hell happened here?" Jack said carefully, slowly scanning across the papers and books scattered across the room, Virgil, Logan and Red picking them up, while Eva seemed to be looking over something."And what the fuck is that!?" Jack said confused as a dog pawed at his legs, tail wagging hapily. "That would be a dog Jack" Logan responded looking up from the cleaning momentarly, earing an impatient look from Jack. "It's Kyo puppy, isn't he cute" Eva shrilled running over and picking the dog up and holding it to Jack's face. "Nevermind that what is it doing here" Jack backed away from the dog as Eva held it out. "I guess it's Elliot's now, Clyne found him here this morning" Virgil stated, his hands reaching out for one of the last papers. "Figures, it fits too, we're just full of losts and runaways" Jack shrugged glimsing at the dog, still in Eva's arms. "Wanna hold him" She said sweetly offering him foward once again. "Don't push it" Jack replied taking another step back.
Kenso
Kenso watched Clyne drive away, a slight smile on his face. He turned back to the garage, deciding it was time he went home also. He settled on a Kawasaki ZX 12R for the ride home. It was a slightly longer ride for him than the rest, as he'd never left the house his parents had bought so long ago. His parents had been sure to buy a house as far away from the other districts as possible. It was usually quieter that way. His mind wandered as the wind tore through his hair, flying down the highways on his bike, weaving in and out of traffic. What would Mom and Dad think of me now? Hell, they were cops, all about holding up the law, making the world a better place...Me, I kill for a living. OK, I'm not always killing, but I usually am. Maybe most of them do need to die, but would my parents approve? Probably not. Dad always wanted another cop after all. But I'm not cut for that. There's no point in it in this world. Maybe Mom would, I don't know. I guess in the long run it didn't matter. They were gone, and it was my life. I have to do it my way. It was a fairly normal sequence of thoughts for him, one of the reasons he focused so much on his work. If he didn't, he let himself wonder how his parents would respond to it. He'd loved his parents, and it mattered to him, but he knew he'd made the best choice he could for his own life. Once he was home, he wasted no time in getting to bed. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Kenso rolled over, his open palm slamming down on his blaring alarm. He peeled his eyes open, reading the still blurry time. 4 am. He wonder if Clyne was at HQ already. He smiled at the thought. Probably. She was ALWAYS the earliest, it was just the way she was. Kenso figured she never slept. Not necessarily a problem, that...Left more time for other things... With images of those other things dancing through his head, Kenso pried himself from the bed, leaving a trail of clothes behind him as he headed for the shower. He shuddered as the cold water found his skin, shocking him awake before he eased up the hot, slowly turning the ice cold to a soothing warmth that loosened his muscles, making him feel alive again. It was 4:30 by the time Kenso got out of the shower. He always took long showers. His pay as a mercenary more than covered the bill, so he enjoyed it. He headed for his room, pulling his urban BDUs out of the closet and slipping them on. He was always glad he'd kept his military uniforms, though they weren't really that hard to obtain thanks to surplus stores. It was just nice to have these ones. It was an almost sentimental thing. After dressing, Kenso made himself a quick breakfast of scrambled eggs with ham and cheese and some toast. As far as he knew, he was the only member of SN who ate breakfast, or at least ate more of a breakfast than something you grabbed on the way out the door. He never understood how the others went without. He quickly brushed his teeth, then headed for his bike and took off, probably waking more than one neighbor as he headed for the highway. Virgil pulled up about the same time as Kenso. "Lonely night?" Kenso glanced over. "Good morning to you, too. What's that supposed to mean?" Virgil smiled. "Well, by my observations last night, you were stuck sadly alone, and it didn't look as though that was likely to change." A slight chuckle. "Well, it didn't, but I won't be alone tonight. I actually asked her." Virgil didn't say another word until they were inside. Kenso's words had actually caught him by surprise. The crowd of people around a DOG of all things caught him by far more surprise. "What in the hell?!" Kenso didn't even have that many words, at least until Clyne came off with, "Bite me, buddy." Upon hearing that, he walked up behind her and whispered into her ear. "Now where's the fun in having him do that?" before walking towards the dog, still rather confused, but then deciding it wasn't worth it. "Hey...it's time to go wake up sleeping beauty in his mobile home. Since we're all here we can get started." Kenso said, looking at his watch. "Mm, you're right. Lysander has some briefing to do. Clyne has already informed me that our suspicions of the validity of Mrs. Fairfield's identity have been confirmed," Elliot said, reverting to his mission-mode as he set Kyo down onto the floor. "Yes...Lysander will tell you the rest," Kenso said, as the three of them walked to the garage where Lysander did his usual sleeping. Noise erupted in the garage around 6:15am. Lysander rolled around in the back seat of his Lamborghini, and looked up, seeing Elliot through the window. Clyne and Kenso stood by Elliot, looking as if they never went to sleep. "So you have a report for me?" Elliot said through the protection of the window. He said it with a tone like he'd been out there for hours. "Y-yeah. Hol-Hold on for a second." Lysander said, wiping the drool off of his mouth. He opened the back door closest to Elliot and handed him the documents. Kenso was almost annoyed to see a man sleep in a one-of-a-kind car such as Lysander's. But it was Lysander's car, and he did have the second largest pistol in the room (Elliot claiming the prize for first, of course), nobody would be saying that to Lysander anytime soon. "That's everyth-" Lysander began to say as he gave Elliot the information but Clyne cut him off quickly. "What the hell is that smell?!" Clyne said, angry from the scent. "What smell?" Lysander said. This time Elliot smelled it too, putting the documents over his nose. "Jesus man!" Elliot yelled. "Go brush your teeth..." "Now!" Clyne and Kenso stated; Kenso had gotten a whiff of the odor as well, not that it could possibly be missed. Kenso had to wonder how Lysander even managed to sleep closed into the car with that smell. Lysander checked his breath in front of the three. Smelling the pure evil inside of his mouth, he silently sulked away into the garage bathroom while the three discussed the plans [and Lysander's breath]. "We'll be ready to go when you're finished!" Elliot stated. "And brush your tongue too!" Kenso added. ========== As the four drove to the A.S.P.E.N. HQ located in Section 5 of Traydor, they prepared for their mission, though the woman who asked them to do the mission was a liar in terms of identity. Nevertheless, SN took the majority of their cases for money, especially this one. Hopefully, they would find a clue about the killing of Mr. Fargo as well. Lysander and Clyne were in the getaway vehicle while Elliot and Kenso were in the weapons SUT. All were ready to begin their mission. Clyne radioed in to Elliot via walkie talkie. "Ready to rock?" Clyne said into the intercom. "Ready to Roll." Elliot replied. "...Oh, and check to see if Lysander brushed his teeth. We don't want his 'scent' giving our position away." Kenso was heard laughing in the background. "Breath check." Clyne said to Lysander as he puffed air from his mouth onto Clyne. Clyne got back on the walkie talkie with Elliot. "His breath's good." Clyne said, sighing from the fun that the boys were having in the other vehicle. "Brave girl, doing that." Kenso said. "I don't think I'd be crazy enough to let him breathe on me after that." Elliot laughed this time. "I doubt it. We're all a little crazy in here after all. Besides, it's still less dangerous than getting shot at." Elliot paused. "I think." With that, both Kenso and Elliot burst out laughing. Kenso spoke after he recovered. "Got to make this one a quick one." Elliot glanced over, a questioning look on his face. Kenso chuckled. "Got a date with Clyne tonight." Elliot stared.
