TheResplendent
"A...date? You mean, like a date date?" Elliot asked, looking in Kenso's direction oddly. "Well...dinner is the only definite plan...but yeah, I guess a date." Kenso responded, making a sharp right turn. "Heh, oh boy...are you in for an adventure." Elliot said, subtly laughing to himself. Kenso turned his head briefly over toward the passenger side seat then returned his focus to the streets. "Um...what do you mean?" Kenso asked out of confusion. Elliot had already begun recalling some comical past moments with Clyne trying to keep some boyfriends...it was difficult for anybody living the life of a mercenary to really be involved with anyone...but in addition to that Clyne was the bossy and hot-headed type. "Oh...nothing...I mean...you know how Clyne is. I could probably tell ya some pretty interesting stories about some of her past dates, that's all." Elliot said, trying to find the comedy in the situation. "Oh...well, I think i'll be fine..........what kind of stories?" Kenso asked, letting the curiosity get the best of him. "Oh...well let's see. This one time she was with this guy..." Before Elliot could finish, his phone walkie talkie activated as if on cue as Clyne spoke from the other side. "Hey, we got held up a couple of lights back by some dickwad on motorcycle. Did you guys make the turn before the highway?" she asked, interuppting Elliot's story. "Uh...yea. The highway construction would be a bitch to get around." Elliot answered. "Alright, we'll catch up in no time." Clyne answered. Elliot put his phone down but Clyne spoke again. "Oh, and by the way...if you don't want me to crack your skull when we get there, i suggest you don't finish that story!" she continued, hanging up afterwards. "Huh!? How did she..." Elliot started to say as he looked over at Kenso who had a smile on his face, as if trying to fight back laughing. Elliot looked at him in confusion, then looked down by the gearshift where he saw Kenso holding down the button on his phone, which allowed whoever it was on the other side to hear what they were saying. "You son of a bitch..." "Haha, sorry man...I told ya i'd get you back for the card game though." Kenso replied. "Feh...is this any way to treat your boss?" Elliot mumbled to himself, now expecting to get hit by Clyne when they got to their destination. "Hey, as our new leader we have a lot of catching up to do with pranks if we want to match the amount we used to play on Nicholas." Kenso said, putting a smile on both of their faces. "Ha...well don't forget, he taught me every trick in the book." Elliot shot back. The GPS in their car estimated about 5 minutes till their destination. One of the very few hours where Traydor saw sunlight was starting to come around. Had they left any later the probably would have run into tons more traffic. Elliot looked over after having a good laugh and went back to the subject. "Heh...seriously though...Clyne is..." "I know man. You don't have to worry Elliot, I know how close you and her are. She's a lot closer to all of us then most of the women we're used to picking up at the clubs and whatnot. You don't have to worry about how i'll treat her." Kenso said, well aware of the real relationship he and Clyne had from all the years they have been in Sinister Nation together. Elliot nodded toward Kenso, feeling like he didn't really have to say anything...but it came out as a simple formality. Elliot sat back when his phone rang yet again. "Geez, guess i'm popular today." Elliot said as he picked it up and put it to his ear. "Elliot, didn't catch you at a bad time did I?" the voice on the other side said. "Eva? No, we're almost there. Everything ok?" "Everything is peachy over here, but thought you might like to know that theres a pretty big police investigation going on around T-5. Seems like some poor sap got ripped up pretty bad...they're saying on the news that the TPD think it was a drug war statement between Methais Corbin and some competition. Just thought you guys should be careful if your in that area." "Hm, interesting. Thanks for the heads up, it shouldn't cause us much of a problem though. How are things going at HQ?" Elliot asked as their arrival time was down to 2 minutes. "Not too busy yet, I gave Kyo some more water...he's one thirsty dog. Anyway, i'll probably hit up a bar or something before i open my schedule for missions. Well, lemme get going...have fun! Later, sexy!" Eva said, blowing a kiss into the phone before hanging up. Elliot looked at the phone before he hung up, he disliked when Eva had some drinks before taking up jobs. Yet despite that she has managed to uphold a pretty good record of being one of the members with the least amount of failed missions. The car pulled over a few blocks down from the building that was their destination. Lysander and Clyne's car followed behind and parked as well. "Ok, it's showtime." Kenso said as the four members got out of the cars. "The archway to our ten is a good place to set up sniping point. Me and Lysander will take out the bodyguards in the rear yard while Kenso takes the roof entry from the adjacent building. Take the grapling hook and radio down if anyone is watching from the roof." Elliot instructed as they brought out their needed supplies under the guise of travel bags and haliburtons. "Ha, sounds like fun." Lysander said, as he loaded his desert eagle. Elliot did the same as they gave each other a nod. Clyne grabbed her rifle and adjusted her goggles. She looked around for the quickest way to get up to the archway in the square across from the building. "Guess I'll head off then...I'll have a pretty good view of just about everything on the outside and all the windows. After the perimeter has been breached i'll move to initial sniping point's nine and take up point on the roof of the connected building on it's three." Clyne said as she grabbed a few extra magazines and attached Akatsuki to her back. "I'll radio you when it's clear to move to the connecting bridge, then i'll take entry to one of the windows on the 6th floor of the building's front under the concealment of the scaffolding. Hopefully i won't run into any painters or workers but If i do then it's too bad for them." Kenso stated. "Alright, looks like we're good to go for infiltration. Once we get inside though it may be a different story. Everyone stay alert and hopefully the false story Mrs. "Fairfield" gave us dosn't come with too many variables." Elliot said, as the team split into their respective points.
Disenchanted
Octavia woke at a reasonable time; she never understood why the other members of SN felt they needed to wake so early, 'some probably don?t even sleep' she thought. Getting out of bed she discarded her rather skimpy sleeping gear and walked to the bathroom. No one at SN had seen her apartment; it somewhat matched her exterior personality. Cold and dark. Her walls were completely bare; there wasn?t that much furniture either, she liked to call it 'ultra modern'. The colors in her home were mostly grays, deep reds and blacks. The floor in every part of her apartment was polished floor boards, if something wasn?t made of high quality wood then it was made of glass or metal for sure. Stepping into her glass tiled shower the water was turned way up and almost as far as the hot tap would allow. Octavia always had long showers; some going well over an hour, usually there was nothing better to do. Eventually stepping out of the hot water, Octavia collected her towel and made for her closet. Choosing to wear a tight, black, sleeveless leather top that showed most of her stomach with loose fitting leather pants and heavy black military style leather boots, metal capped of course. Grabbing her hooded leather trench coat she took a green apple from a bowl, her keys and helmet and made for the buildings elevator. Stepping into the elevator Octavia turned around to see one of the buildings security personnel running towards her waving his arms for her to hold the elevator. Naturally Octavia jammed her finger down on the ?door close? button. She waved to the guard with a broad smile on her face as the doors closed just as he reached them. Mathew was possible the most irritating person she had ever met. Yes, he was probably one of the best looking men she had ever seen and yes, he was probably one of the nicest people one could ever meet, but the sad man never gave up on trying to get her to go out with him. It was like he didn?t know the meaning of the word ?no?. She?d had just about enough of him and was ready to pistol whip him if he ever asked her anything again. Eventually reaching the garage, she whipped on her helmet and coat before straddling her bike and racing off down the street to SN HQ. + + + Parking her bike Octavia took off her helmet and walked into the main office. A four legged; slobbering fur ball was at her feet in mere seconds, wagging its tail with its tongue hanging from the side of its moth. She backed away from it with a disgusted look on her face. Papers were scattered around the room, everything looked like a bomb had hit it. ?Get lost!? she yelled at the beast, pointing in the opposite direction from where she was standing. Eva burst into the room with Red and Virgil checking to see what all the yelling was about. ?What the hell is that?? Octavia demeaned pointing at the slobbering mutt. ?It?s a Dog Logan.? Eva replied smiling, Octavia rolled her eyes. ?It?s disgusting, whose is it?? Eva shrugged and began picking up papers. ?Clyne found it, but Its Elliot?s now.? Octavia shook her head and began picking up papers with everyone else. It was obvious from her reaction that she despised dogs; she didn?t like animals at all for that matter. The thing kept annoying her but she chose to ignore it. After a while of picking up papers Jack walked into HQ. Octavia ignored what was being said for the most part, eventually she looked up and started listening. "Wanna hold him" Eva said in a sweet tone. "Don't push it" Jack replied taking a step back. Eva snubbed Jack at his response and hugged the dog; he walked over to everyone else and helped clean up the rest of the papers. Octavia Made a gun shape with her fingers and fired at the dog, it was staring at her over Eva?s shoulder and began barking at her in response. ?Lousy mutt!? Octavia yelled at it. Putting a bunch of papers down on a desk as Jack raised an eye brow at her. ?I take it your not a dog person?? She rolled her eyes at him and folded her arms. ?Jack, I?m not an anything person, period.? He playfully began poking her in the ribs before she slapped his hand away. ?I would have at least figured you liked cats.? She blew hair out of her face and placed a hand on her hip. ?Don?t even get me started on cats.? Jack shrugged and sat down. Octavia tapped her fingers on the desk in apparent boredom of their now uneventful situation. Without warning she turned on her heals and headed for the rear of SN. ?Where are you going?? Jack called after her, she half turned around, keeping her ass in full view. ?Training, care to join me?? He shrugged and started to walk towards her, turning around she smiled inwardly to her self but kept a stern expression. + + + Octavia and Jack had worked up quite a sweet when they decided to part for a quick break. Neither of them seemed to be out of breath but they were defiantly giving it all they had. Octavia threw Jack a bottle of water and he caught it one handed, ripping the lid off and taking a few gulps before throwing it back to her. Octavia found herself studying Jack momentarily before they resumed their spar. The two SN members circled one another like predatory sharks, studying each other carefully to see who would make the first move. Octavia lunged at Jack first, impatiently breaking the period of quiet anticipation. She came at him with a swift kick aimed squarely at his head; Jack ducked and blocked a punch at the same time. Octavia was aggressive and hated to loose; she always used a lot more kicks than punches when fighting which made her style slightly predictable. She was fast however and used that to her advantage. Using a little more emotion than she probably should have caused Octavia to over throw one of her punches giving Jack a window of opportunity to gain the upper hand. He came at her with a flurry of punches, each one connecting with their intended target causing Octavia to stumble backwards. She momentarily fell to her knees and tried to catch her breath before rolling away from Jack. A smile crossed his face as he mockingly raised an eye brow at her. ?Come on Octavia! You fight like a girl.? Jack taunted, a million daggers spewed from her eyes at his words. She didn?t say anything back, but rolled forwards instead and spun on her left leg sweeping Jacks legs out from under him. ?Look who?s talking.? she smirked sounding bitter.

?Look who?s talking.? she smirked sounding bitter. "Hey! At least now I know what I got to do to get a decent fight out of ya" Jack sprung back up to his feet, cracking his neck before settling into something like a boxers stance, Logan looking like, well if looks could kill Jack would be rotting by now. Slowly they began circling eachother, scanning for weaknesses, see which would be first to strike or drop their defenses. Logan shose to take the iniative closing the distance between them instantly with her speed. She struck out sending her right leg aimed for Jack's knee, sending a swift punch with her left. Jack blocked her kick deftly with his shin, while wrapping his arm around her punch, though Logan countered with a sharp knee to the side of Jack's abdomen followed by a right hand punch to the gut. Grunting he stumbled back looking alittle abashed, though he was just warming up. "So that's how it is?" He said smirking returning to his stance, although slightly lower. This time he broke the space first charging foward faking a right jab and throwing a left uppercut. Logan easily blocked the blow, spinning retaliating with a roundhouse aimed for his head. Jack ducked swiftly, rolling backwards as another kick came where he was crouched. "You're quicker than I thought" Logan circled Jack as he stood again, whiping sweat off his forehead. "Probably say that lots" Jack smirked earning more daggers from the woman assuming her stance, muttering something to the effect of "pig". Logan struck first again, a strong left kick aimed right at the man's ribs, fury burning in her eyes. Though Jack stood strong taking the blow with a creepy crack to the ribs, as he wrapped his arm around her leg. Logan stood slightly shocked that he took the blow, not noticing as he slipped his left leg behind her remaining leg, and drove foward sweeping her off the ground Jack following closely. The landed in a mass of heavy breathing sweaty bodies, Jack on top of Logan. "Damn, wish I wouldn't have done that" Jack grunted placing a hand tenderly on where the kick landed. "What were you thinking, serves you right though, but do you mind?" She looked up at him, eyes unreadable, like a mysterious beauty. "Serves me right eh" Jack mumbled under his breath lost in Logan's light brown eyes "Wait, mind what oh, right" Rolling off her he stood up, shaking out his arm as he walked over to the wall grabbing a Bokken, tossing it to Octavia. "How about we make this more interesting?" Snatching the practice sword out of the air, she twirled it in her grasp before looking up at Jack as he picked out two Shoto for himself "Ok, but it's your funeral." "Gotta have one sooner or later" He said walking back out to he mat, giving the wooden weapons spin. Their face of began again, though now there was only focus. It was still a spar, but you had to be more aware with weapons, it was something else, as Jack's heartbeat steadily rose in anticipation. The both rushed foward, Logan striking first with her longer reach bringing her blade diagnolly up from her left. Jack stopped the blow with both his smaller swords, rolling into her throwing his right elbow catching Logan on her left shoulder. Charging at her unguarded, he was forced to block over his head as she recovered quickly striking downwards. With his weapon's distracted she placed a foward kick to his stomach, sending Jack stumbling back. Jack barely managed to block an attach to his neck, not getting a chance to recover or counter as Logan spun down, sweeping his legs once again. Jack rolled away quickly before she could pin him with her blade, pushing strongly to his feet despide his side aching."For once the rumors are right, she is an excellent fighter" Jack thought to himself, as they circled once more, locked in the wheel of combat. Jack reared foward trying to get in close, rendering her longer blade somewhat ineffective, though every advance, and strike he made, her blade was there to counter or block it. Though he seemed to find his chance, making contact he slid his left Shoto along her Bokken to the guard using his strength to keep the weapon away. With his second Shoto he started to thrust forward, though Logan rolled away from the attack to her right as if she had know it was comming. Jack looked over his shoulder, feeling the cool sensation of laquered wood on his hot skin. "Kill" Came out from Logan's mouth as she breathed short steady breaths, a slight glisten covering her face, pale arms and exposed abs. Smirking still looking back into those lucid brown eyes, Jack smirked motioning down with his own eyes. Logan followed his gaze and found his left hand Shoto pointed at her pelvis. Rolling her eyes and sighing she gave him a firm but light kick to the ass, making him stumble foward a bit. "You wish it was that big" "Hey Jack, got a retrievals mission here for you if your up to it? They requested you, but Eva and I could take it off your hands" Virgil said standing in the training room door waiving a tan folder, a small smile on his face, though it was replaced by a serious look as he continued, "The pay is 8,000 and the left half already, looks like a trap to me, so if you take it you might want someone to watch your back" Shrugging Jack walked over and took the folder flipping through the pages, mainly photo's, one sticking out among the rest, Methias Corbon. Jack's expression turned cold for a slight moment, before he checked his emotions "Yeah I'll take it, I'm gonna go clean up a bit, get some equipment." Jack said coldly, his voice still expressing his emotions, even though his face was clear of it. "That bad eh?" Virgil said still leaning up against the doorframe. "Yeah, maybe, Logan, care to back me up in case this gets ugly?" Jack asked turning back around to face her. OOC: Told ya it was long Eclipse :animeshy: hope it's ok, anyways if you just want to have Octavia cleanup, grab some equipment and meet back up with Jack at the garage, You can choose what car Jack gets to drive us around in lol, and I'll post the mission specs in the car ride. Sorry I meant to send this in the PM, and I didn't want to bother you with another one. If your not sure about anything PM me.
Kenso
Kenso split to the right as the group separated, adjusting the pack on his back. For now, his weapons stayed tucked away, the pack settling nicely over the sheathes for his katanas. As he approached the adjacent building, he smiled. There was a fire escape available. Three quick steps put him to running speed, and he leapt toward the side of the building, kicking off of it and grabbing the fire escape, grimacing at the pull on his shoulder muscles. Not particularly comfortable, but quite effective. He climbed the fire escape to the 6th level, then climbed on the escape?s railing to allow himself to reach the roof and rather easily pull himself up to it. He made his way across the roof until reached the top of the connecting bridge, which ran between the sixth floors, then pulled out a pair of binoculars. The roof on the target building appeared to have numerous entries, mostly for easy access to vents for repairs and similar such things. He took a count as he scanned the rooftop, then reached for the radio. ?This is Kenso. I count eleven on the rooftop, all armed with machine guns. Looks to be clips of 30.? He let the binoculars follow one of the guard?s movements to get a better look at the weapons. ?Looks to be one of those new upgraded M-16s, no grenade launchers attached. Weapons set on burst, not full automatic. These guys must be the crack shots. There may be more. Various obstructions block view.? Clyne?s voice came through the earpiece. ?Roger that. Nearly in position. Should start raising hell in two or three minutes.? Kenso knew it was best to leave the rooftop guards to Clyne, and dropped on top of the bridge into a crouched position. Keeping low, he snuck across without mishap, then climbed down the scaffolding on the other building to get to the 6th floor. It was always easier to sneak into a place when work was being done on the outside. He glanced up and down the scaffolding and breathed a sigh of relief. No painters or any other workers. That was good. Kenso didn?t really like to kill innocents. At times, it was a necessary evil, but Kenso never enjoyed it. As he approached the first window, he flattened himself against the outer wall, leaning just enough to glance in. He reached down, pushing the button on the radio on his waist. ?This is Kenso. I?m at a sixth floor window. It appears to a CQC training room. Currently three occupants, all male. Nothing extraordinary in appearance. Probably just low guys on the totem pole. Shall I engage, or await everyone else?? It was Elliot?s voice in his earpiece this time. ?Engage. Lysander and I are nearly in place. We should be making a whole lot of noise soon on our own. Just try not to end up in the yard until we?re done with it.? Kenso smirked. ?Roger that. Easy enough to do. Will be out of vocal contact while in building. I?ll be keeping an ear open though. Over and out.? Kenso easily popped the screen, laying in on the scaffolding, then producing a small crow bar from the side of his pack. Normally, Kenso would be a little smoother and a lot less noisy, but this was not a normal mission. Luckily, the men inside were engaged in combat and far too busy with each other to notice Kenso as he forced the crowbar under the edge of the window and pryed it up, snapping the window?s lock. The noise of the snapping lock got the attention of the various combatants, and Kenso wasted no time in pulling the window open and sliding in as they came at him. By the time his feet hit the ground, he had a 6-inch serrated edge knife in his left hand and his silenced SiG526 in his right. The pistol was really a precaution, as these guys weren?t worth the ammo, but it was easier to have it ready. The first attack came from Kenso?s left, a quick jab from a tall man with a thin build. Kenso leaned back, letting the man?s arm move past his face before slashing outward, ripping into his opponent?s stomach. Kenso dropped as another opponent?s kick connected with the outside of his right knee, but managed to bring up his arm to block the next kick, which was headed for his face. He let the kick slide across his arm, clasping his elbow at the man?s ankle, then standing while twisting his arm up, snapping the ligament?s in the opponent?s ankle. About the time, the third occupant of the room, easily the largest, sent a right cross straight at Kenso?s jaw. He immediately let go of the other occupant?s ankle, dropping to the ground, using his right hand to pivot into a full 180-degree leg sweep. His palm didn?t appreciated his weight pressing it into the gun, but it was effective all the same, and the big man dropped. Kenso was on him before he could stand, and the knife made a mess of his throat before doing the same to the man whose ankle had been broken. He wiped his knife on the pants of the last man to die before heading for the door and pressing himself against the wall. For now, he?d wait for the commotion to start outside.
