Kairi
The forest was cold and dark, the aura that seemed to pulse from the trees make it quite different from any ordinary. However it did give the sense of safety which Kairi took into himself with my appreciation. To think nature as his father instructed to him when he was young in his teachings, that everything on earth had a soul, and everythign could be given a will of its own. "Kairi...Sir..." a strange glowing ball appeared in front of Kairi as quickly stopped. The boy looked up in curiosity as Boo hovered in what appeared to be a timid behavior resulting in its spiratic color changes. Kairi said nothing as Boo continued...allowing it to speak. "Marquis and the others are looking for you, I can bring you to them if you'd wish." "Oh course my little glowing friend...lead the way master...'' Boo was struck dumbfounded as Kairi continued his walk, going right past Boo. Realizing Boo wasn't leading Kairi turned back to him. "Are we going?" Boo had never been called "master" before, the notion of it made the creature feel quite uncomfortable...a sense of power he hadn't felt. Boo had always called others master, but never in the same respect to himself. Kairi smiled to himself and motioned with his head that they should get back to the others. Glowing a bright aqua blue, Boo decided that he liked this boy, and set off deeper into the woods to find Marquis and the others. Behind Boo, Kairi grinned slightly...knowing exactly what he did, but quickly drifted to others thoughts...such as whether or not to tell Alexia what he had done to her home and to her mother. Astdis
?Nice slit? Eve shot a look over her shoulder at Zech who was smirking. ?I ?ad to do somethin?. It?s not easy fightin? and runnin? in a dress you know.? ?Yeah, you?re lucky that sword came with a belt.? Eve nodded silently and moved to walk next to Zech as they continued through the woods. She felt a brush of warmth across her leg and reached down and scooped Faith up. The cat purred and nuzzled into her arm. ?Yeah I know, yer a tough force ta be reckoned with who ?as an incessant need for attention.? They continued deeper until they could no longer see the clearing where the mansion had been. She heard sticks cracking to her left and turned sharply to see Kairi walking toward them cutting through the trees. So, he made it out. Eve nodded to him and turned back to the trail? demonchild781
After a few struggling moments, Alexia managed to collect herself again and focus on the task at hand. She had shoved the gem that would one day be a part of Kairi into her pocket for safe keeping. She was thankful that she had not over dressed for that evenings dinner, that's when her stomach grumbled. She sighed heavily remembering that she had eaten very little at dinner. "We need to bring the servants and innocents to the safe house on the other side of this forest." Alexia said to Aesera who wasn't far from her. They both had walked quietly in front of the group after gathering with the others again. The woman nodded. "And I think, if my memory services me well, that the legends say that the way to Omega is through Alpha. Much like Dontae's weak spot was for his beloved Isabel." Alexia turned the thought over in her mind. "I think you are correct," Aesera added shortly after. "We must get to--." "Japan," Kabato's voice broke into their conversation. Alexia turned around with a startled expression and caught out of the corner of her eye Kyne's glance. He seemed not to notice that she had caught him looking at her as his eye danced from the girl onto his arm and then to his pet on his shoulder. Alexia's heart swelled, but it was not love nor jealousy. It was something else. Something Fate knew and she had not discovered yet. "Alexia?" "Sorry," she turned her attention back to Aesera and Kabato. "Like I said to Aesera, we need to get the others to the safe house. They're will be food and spare clothing for those that need it. But don't drop your guard. Just because Omega has left does not mean spawn won't be lerking about. I've never known them to take animals, but there's a first time for every thing." "Right," Aesera added. "When we get there, will have a meeting of sorts with the others. Try to fill in gaps for those that are still confused and hear suggestions on how to get to Japan. I know flying is almost completely out of the question." OOC: Hey every one. The group will be attacked by spawn as you wander through the woods every so often. You can make them human or critter, does not matter. Remember you have normal humans with you as well that can either be turned (from weak faith) or be killed. So don't forget to include them. Lets have at least one post from every one wandering in the woods to see who's all still with us, then we'll have the meeting.
Akieen Cloud
Cole looked at the others as they talked and caught Alexia glanceing at Kyne, she brushed it off and looked back as Eve and Kairi showed up as well. "Bout' time you two join us." She twirled her scythe expertly and leaned on a tree, her eyes now completely dark blue. "So we head for Japan huh? Well, I say lets go before something else happens." They all seemed to agree with her and they began to move through the woods silently as the could, the maids and butlers that has escaped were spaced between them so they would be safe. Cole sighed as she followed the others near the back of the wide line they had formed. She watched her surrounding closely and listened for anything out of the ordinary. She picked a loose spliter from the handle of the weapon she had over her shoulder when she heard a howl in the distance, everyone seemed to hear it as well for many stoped and looked back. Alexia's voice could be heard over them. "Keep moving." They began to move again slowly at first and then quicker. Cole watched out more closely and blinked as a butler a few feet away hunched over as if in pain. She put her hand on his back and felt a shiver go through her. "Hey, you alright?" He jerked and sounded as if he was vomiting. "Hey! Come on we have to keep moving." The others were looking back at her now as she tried to get the butler to move with them. Suddenly her threw back his head and spun around on her, she had just enough time to riase her arms over her face as he lunged at her trying to get to her throat. She felt the now razor sharp teeth of a spawn sink into her forearma nd cried out. "Mother fucker!" She punched him in the face to get him off as the others moved through the crowd to get to her, Kairi was there first as she kicked the spawn in the face, her arm bleeding heavily now. She picked up her scythe and sliced it upward spliting it in two. Aeresa looked at her arm with worry. "It's deep, and already turning black." "I'll be fine. We have to keep moving." They all nodded as screams came from the front and many of the maids ran towards them in horror. "Do we even want to know?" They headed for the front to see two wolves, feasting on a maid that just wasn't quick enough. "Damn, guess there is a first for everything." The wolves looked up, their eyes filmed over with white. Spawns. Cole looked at her arm and tried to lifet the scythe, she winced and shook her head. "I'm only so good at the moment." She ducked as one lunged and Eve cut through it her sword. Cole smiled and gave her a thumbs up. "Yeah, nice one." She heard the other yelp and die as Alexiea and Aeresa desposed of it. Aeresa looked over them all, resting her eyes on Cole. "We need to get moving again. I think I should stay with you, just in case you turn on us." "I'm not that weak." She heard the deep, gruff voice of Kyne throw in his two cents of thoughts. "That's a good idea. We don't need another of us getting bitten." Cole resigned and sighed as she took her place ner the back again, Aeresa next to her watching her carefully.
GuyYouMetOnline
Aesera opened up her mind, releasing her hold on her powers. By keeping her mind open, she could identify approaching threats. Also, she'd be able to moniter the others, which meant that she didn't have to stay next to Cole. Kyne was the only problem; Aesera tried scanning his mind and, feeling pain again, withdrew quickly. She couldn't go into his mind for some reason, so she deliberately excluded him from her mental net. Aesera moved up beside Alexia. "So Tokyo's our destination, then." "Yes," Alexia replied. "Assuming that we can figure out how to get there, of course." "That shouldn't be too difficult," Aesera said. "I understand why you don't want to fly there, but I think we'd be okay. Sure, flying commercial'd be dangerous, but there'll be some danger involved no matter what we decide to do, and speed is important. Besides, it may be possible to make things easier." "How would we do that?" Alexia asked. "We wouldn't," Aesera replied. "My father would." "Your father?" Aesera nodded. "Yes. He's... well, he's never actually come out and told me what he does. However, he's dropped enough hints-deliberately, of course-that I know he's with the government. I think his position has something to do with the world police, but I'm not sure. Anyways, he'll most likely be able to help." "You sure we can trust him?" Alexia asked. "Yeah, I can see in your mind that you don't like the world police," Aesera replied. "Don't worry, though. We can trust my father. Hell, the only reason he's with the goverment was in preperation for today. He takes his duties quite seriously, my father. And with the position he holds, he's basically garunteed to know what's happening. He most likely knew about the emergence of the titans and spawns before any of us." "He's in a high government position just so he could know when the titans and spawn appeared?" Alexia asked, incredulous. "Well, that's part of the reason," Aesera explained. "The other part is access. He knows about and has access to all kinds of things, including restricted equipment. He's not supposed to tell anyone anything, of course, but he still managed to educate me about every piece of classified anything he has access to. That's how I recognized some of the more potent weapons back in the armory. Some of that stuff is highly restricted. That's why I was so surprised when I saw you had those weapons. "Anyways, Dad's got access. He could arrange transportation for us. And it'd be completely off the record, and much faster than commercial transportation. Plus, he may be able to get us something that'll help against the titans. The world police have some pretty crazy weapons, you know, some of which could be quite useful against the titans." "If that's true, then it sounds like t would be a good idea to contact your father," Alexia said. Aesera nodded. "Yeah. Before we go anywhere, though, we should probably send a group back to what's left of the mansion to see if we can salvage any of the bulkier weapons I didn't have time to grab. They wouldn't be much help against the titans, but they'd be extremely nice to have anyways. We wouldn't all go, though. Just some of us, led by me. And I'd have to go, since I'm probably the only one of us that can tell if the weapons are even still functional." "I'd go too, I assume," Alexia said. "I'm the one who'd be best able to find what's left of the armory among the ruins of the mansion." "No," Aesera told her. "I know the mansion as well as you, thanks to information from your mind. I can find the armory just fine, and we shouldn't both go. In fact, I think that any time we split up, for any reason, you and I should be with different groups. You and I are, at the moment, the two most valuable out of all of us, though Kairi comes pretty close. But it's you and I who know the most, so untill the others can be brought up to our level of knowledge, we need to do everything we can to ensure that at least one of us stays alive. "Now, as long as we're on the topic of splitting up, I think Kyne should always come with me when there's a split. He's the only one of us who's mind I can't enter. Eventually, I'll figure out how to send messages telepathically, but even when I do, I'll be unable to send to Kyne. Kyne's the only one of us I can't communicate with from a distance, and the obvious solution is for him and me to avoid being distant." Alexia nodded. "Makes sense," she said. "Anyways, let's discuss this further once we reach the safe house." Yes," Aesera agreed. "For now, we just concentrate on getting everyone there alive."
Redemption
Faint rays of light filtered through the canopy of the dense forest. Up ahead of him, Kyne could see Aesera and Alexia talking to each other. Their faces were contorted with the seriousness of the matter they were talking to each other on. He even thought he heard his name mentioned once or twice. Alexia?s sideway glance was a dead giveaway. Aurelia shuddered in the tense air. The group, Kairi now with them, had already encountered some of the spawn Alexia had warned them about ? both human and beast alike. Kyne was a little taken aback when the wolves attacked them, their bodies and minds taken over by the spawn. Like Alexia, he hadn?t seen spawn infest a beast?s body, although he had seen them try. That?s how he came to be the master of Mayon. Speaking of the crow, his head was swivelling around, peering into the lightening darkness of the forest. Aurelia winced once or twice when she felt the grip of the crow?s taloned feet tighten too much. ? Mayon?? Kyne warned, hearing the young girl wince. Forgive me. The tension is too much. The crow fluttered over to his master?s right shoulder, managing dodge the blade that was slung across Kyne?s shoulders. To Kyne?s surprise, when the crow?s feet dug in, he felt nothing. The pain from the burned design had also completely vanished. However, the normally faint sensation of Mayon sitting there was also gone. This wasn?t what he was expecting. Was this the God of Hatred?s work? Dawn was now breaking in the outside world of the forest. Kyne could expect that people would have seen the great billowing mass of smoke that once was Alexia?s home and would have called the authorities, mainly, the World Police. They would find Alexia?s mother?s body and possibly evidence that could incriminate Alexia if she was to appear in public. After all, there was an armoury with sophisticated weapons that would most likely been outlawed in most countries. Kyne knew how their minds worked. If they didn?t find her body in the wreckage, they would assume that she was still breathing. No doubt they would send search parties for the girl and the remaining, living staff. That would present problems. But, there was a sense of reassurance inside of him. Despite not knowing much about these people around him, he could see some of them were capable of holding their own in a fight. Marquis and Eve, Alexia and Aesera. They seemed like the ones he could depend on to not get themselves in compromising situations. However, he had yet to see Kairi in battle, and Cole was still inexperienced from what he had seen. He would have to observe them closely and make sure they were close when combat arose. What is it Kyne? Mayon asked, looking down at his master with curious but concerned eyes. Make sure you keep a very close eye on Kairi and Cole. Make sure they don?t get themselves into any trouble. Are you concerned about them? Kyne gave an irritated huff and didn?t reply to the inquisitive crow?s question. He wondered why the crow asked questions he already knew the answers to.
GuyYouMetOnline
As the group walked, Aesera looked back at the ruins of the mansion. Damn, she thought. That's more conspicuous than I anticipated. No doubt the world police will want to send a team as soon as they can. At least Dad'll hear about it, and hopefully he'll realize what could happen if a team was sent there. He won't be able to stop a team from going, of course, but he may well show up on-site himself, personally overseeing the investigation. And that would mean that he'd be able to, well, selectively record information, thus avoiding any chance that Alexia or the rest of us are implicated in the mansion's destruction. Still, if a world police team comes, it'll undoubtably uncover the armory, and no matter what, if anything, they do about it, they'll certainly take the weapons. "Okay, things may have just gotten a bit more interesting," Aesera said to Alexia. "What's left of the mansion is making a bit more of a spectacle than I'd anticipated. A world police team may well show up there before long. Hopefully my dad, who'd take action to prevent anything that might hinder us, will show up with the team, but even if he does, the team'll undoubtably take the weapons from the armory. If we want them, we'll need to take them before the world police show up." "Getting everyone to safety has to have priority," Alexia replied. "And after that, we need to make sure everyone understands what's going on. Once we've done that, we might be able to return to the mansion." "By then it may be too late," Aesera said. "I do understand your concerns, though. So I'll go. Me and a couple others, the ones who have the best understanding of what's going on. Kairi, certainly, and maybe one or two others. We'll go back to the mansion, get what weapons we can, then return. Depending on how things go, I may stay behind and try to speak with my father, assuming he's there." "I don't know," Alexia replied. "Yeah, I know of the concerns, but I still think we should do it. Do you?" ----------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Well, I guess this is your choice, DC. demonchild781
Alexia stopped in the middle of the forest. It wasn't something she wanted to do with all the risks involved, but at least the sun was starting to come up. Alexia watched as the group gathered around her and Aesera. Alexia had no desire to go back to the mansion to seek weaponry her soul could not possible use, but if Aesera wanted to go so badly she was not going to send her by herself no matter how powerful Aesera thought she was. "Aesera wishes to seek the remains of the armory that is now buried under what's left of Fate Mansion. I have no desire to seperate us, especially not now since we all haven't discovered the extent of our powers or why we're here. But I will not send Aesera by herself." Alexia watched as a couple of maids shuttered with the cool breeze that swirled about them. "Eve, Zech, Kairi and Kabato go with Aesera back to the mansion. The servants and the others will continue to the safe house with me." OOC: Sorry about such the short post guys. Veritas
The rising sun's light filtered through the canopy of the forest, casting long shadows and little light to the blue of the morning. The smell of the fire still stung at Marquis's nose even though they were a good distance away from the remains of the house. Looking back he watched as Aesera's group made their way back to the armory remains, "I wouldn't mind another weapon, something long range maybe, but I get this feeling I won't need it" Marquis thought looking down at his right hand, his palm and the cross on the back glowing faintly. "Master you're glowing sort of, I'm sure of it," Boo squealled floating around Marquis and the tree he leant on. "I can only see it happening on your hands and in your eyes, but I'm sure it must be under your clothes too" "It's nothing Boo, I wan't you to scout ahead see if you can find anything, whether it be the safehouse or monsters, I want to know what to expect" Marquis stood from the tree walking out of the shadows towards Alexia, recieving a sharp "Sir" from the Sylph as is sped off. Looking at the others left he wasn't really analyzing them, he saved that for opponents, just trying to figure out how they fight by what weapons they recieved, so they could fight better as a whole. The first he scanned over was Kyne who stood ominously watching over the remaining group, his great sword propped on one of his massive shoulders. "That sword is huge, I could probably wield it now but I get the feeling he could weild it before he recieved his soul." Marquis thought as the man's eyes met his own, Marquis giving him a dip of his head in approval and aknowledgement. Looking over he spotted Cole, holding a scythe of all weapons. "Hmm, Definately not the weapon I would expect from her and an extremely hard one to master at that, we'll have to see how she fights with it I suppose" Marquis stopped walking suddenly, shaking his head as he realized something "Did I just refer to myself as a WE, what's going on here, I need some answers, and she has them." Looking up at the last one of the remaining group, Alexia was one not to be looked over. "No weapon? But her aura, it's the largest I've seen, it's like she is just a mere container for a more powerful being or energy, and she needs no weapon, she is a weapon" Marquis thought coming face to face with the weapon he had just been thinking about. "So how far away is this safe house?" Though as the question rolled off his tounge a barrage of howls roared through the forest. Turning around Marquis drew both his blades, squaring back to back with Alexia. Two people within his vision dropped to the ground, rapidly confulsing, their hands clutching at their heads. "Are you two ok?" Marquis asked taking a step towards them. "It's no good, they are spawn now, their only salvation is at the tip of your sword. GO! Help whoever you can, it's a waste to have us both here" Alexia said turning her head slightly so she could look at Marquis. "Damn" Marquis ran foward to the people, stabbing both of the fallen victims in the heart. As he stood from the ground he just managed to jump back as a Spawn swung a large branch as him. As the beast raised the crudgel again Marquis slashed across his wrists with the Rapier, the weapon falling to the ground hand still attached. Before the creature could take a step forward the Main Gauche was sheathed in it's throat, leaving the man or what appeared to be on gurgling as it fell to it's knee's unlodging the dagger. Looking around Marquis coulding see a soul in sight, damned or not, when a scream resounded in his ears. "That was Madeline, I'm sure of it" He muttered to himself darting off towards the location of the voice. "I hope I'm not too late, I can't be too late" His thoughts raced as he jumped a fallen tree, landing swifly and seeing his target a few meters in front of him. It was his maid, and she was being circled by a lone wolf, if he could just reach her in time. The beast turned and began to close the distance, jumping up it's jaws snapping wildly, her face white and eyes wide at the white fangs that would be her reaper. Marquis swiftly cut around her, thrusting his sword into the beast open mouth, it's body going limp as the blade was pushed deeper by the colliding momentums till it was swallowed to the hilt. Letting the body drop to the ground Marquis pulled out blade, whiping the blood off on the wolf's fur. Turning he looked at Madeline, sitting on her knee's tears streaming down her face, leaving clean lines through the ash and dirt. Sheathing his Main Gauche Marquis extended his hand to help her up. She just looked up and the man that had saved her life, her green eyes still wide. Suddenly she took his hand and pressed it to her lips, kissing it over and over again. "Thank you Mon Ange, my angel I will be your's for all eternity" She said inbetween kisses, as Marquis stared down shocked. Gathering himself Marquis stopped her and helped her to her feet, "Nevermind that, we got to get to the safe house, we are too vulnerable here" Turning around Marquis saw a large cottage hidden well by the surrounding forest "I wonder if that is it?" OOC: I hope this is ok, lol sorry it's such a long post, I guess I was making up for not posting in awhile, sorry about that too. Akieen Cloud
Cole looked around the cottage as they gathered in it, it was bigger then most anything she had seen. She let a whistle escape her lips and nuged Kyne. "Pretty nice eh?" He let out a deep gorwl that was barely audible. "Sheesh, take a chill pill would you? I was only trying to make small talk." "I think I liked you better when you were quiet and shy." She huffed and raised the scythe with her god arm and looked at the wound, the flesh was turning blak and red. "So does this mean I'm going to change too?" He turned his back on her and walked away as if she hadn't even spoken to him. She took the picture out of her pocket and looked at it as he walked through the house looking around, the falcon on her shoulder squeezed lightly making her look up.'What?' 'Do you not know my name?' 'Nope.' 'It is Damien.' 'I'll remember that.' She turned and felt her stomach flop. 'Hey, am I gonna turn?' 'Your not that weak, keeo faith and you will be fine.' She nodded and began to look through the cottage, still holding the picture, she turned a corner and jumped slightly as she and Kyne bumped into each other. "Watch it." He grunted. "Sorry." She kept walking, not noticeing that the picture had fallen from her hand face up onto the floor. She went into the kitchen and smiled seeing the fridge, opening it she retreived a beer and popped the top off. 'Are you old enough to drink that?' 'Damien, with the week I've been haveing, I don't give a damn if I'm old enough or not.' She turned the bottle up draining half of it quickly and sighed as she sat at the counter bar thinking.
Astdis
Right then. Going back. Eve sheathed her sword and brushed a long strand of blonde hair from her face. It didn?t matter how much she loved him or his physical strength, it was just a fact. Redemption
Kyne guided Aurelia the one of the large lounge rooms, making her sit down on one of the comfortable crouches so she would calm down. She was extremely skittish from their last spawn attack. Now, it seemed, the spawn were more daring than ever. " Take deep breaths," he said calmly, still standing, facing her. She looked up at him, tears leaking from the sides of her eyes and running down her cheeks. To his surprise, she jumped up and threw her arms around his waist, nuzzling her nose into his long trenchcoat. Kyne gave a sigh and put a comforting hand on her shoulder, his facial expression not changing. However, a slight, eerie scratching noise caught Kyne's attention. It was the same scratching that spawn made when they were sneaking up on their prey. His eyes narrowed sharply, his face contorted with a menacing expression of fury. One of the foul creatures burst through the glass window, the sound of shattering glass making Kyne's head swivel around to his attacker. His anger flared and peaked. Spikes of black-blue ice sprang up from the floor, impaling the attacking spawn almost instantly. Aurelia screamed in horror as their bodies squirmed around on the spikes in a post-humous fit. Marquis appeared in the doorway, looking in shock as the ice receded from the ground. He looked to Kyne who had caught an unconscious, falling Aurelia. The attack was a little too much for the young girl and she fainted. heaving her into his arms, Kyne now looked over to Marquis who looked back with a searching look. " Spawn. They attacked through the window," Kyne said shortly, going through the doorway, careful not to bump the limp body of his servant on the way through. Marquis followed the formidable man as he made his way to Alexia. Her eyes were full of shock and horror as Kyne gently placed Aurelia down on the floor, Cole rushing over and propping the girl's head up on a pillow. He looked up at the young woman before him. " Alexia. We can't stay here much longer. Spawn are gathering." His tone was almost commanding. " It would be unwise to stay here any longer, with or without others." OOC: Let me know if you want anything changed deary.
demonchild781
Alexia smiled softly at both Kyne and Marquis once she realized Kyne's servant was only unconcious. "Gentleman, there is a reason why this is called a safe house not just because its in the middle of the woods away from everything." Alexia walked past them, pulling a glove from her right hand. She couldn't tell if they watched her or not, but she made her way to a door and disappeared inside. Two levers and a massive green button were the only thing in the small cabinet/closest. "God of Fate, you are my strength, give me your power to protect those inside." Alexia whispered. She remembered her mother telling her that any one with the Soul of a God in them could activate the force field as long as their soul desired it, and no one desired to protect these people more than Alexia. She placed her hand on the first metal lever, and with great affert, pulled it down. Nothing happened. She reached for the second on the left side of the first and again with increasing pressure, pulled it down. Still nothing. The last was the green button. She closed her eyes and prayed softly to herself then pressed. I loud siren sounded severial times and then a sound much like metal scrapping metal sounded breifly. "What did you do?" Marquis asked when Alexia rejoined them. "Started the force field. The only thing that can get in her would be Omega." Alexia replied. "What about the others?" Cole asked, coming up on the other side of her. "You can temporiarly open a small doorway by opening the front door. Of course if you turn the force field off as well. We won't wait her long. I just want to make sure every one is settled and comfortable before we join the others. I'm sure Aesera will find a way to get us to Japan." Alexia turned directly to Cole, glancing over at Marquis briefly. "Before we see to the others, is there anything you would like to know? I'm sure I can answer almost any of your questions. Any of you." OOC: wrap things up here guys, Veritas and Knuckles' if you have any questions for Alexia and you don't have the answers just PM or leave the question unanswered and I'll answer for ya in my next post. thanks guys!
GuyYouMetOnline
Aesera led Eve, Zech, Kairi, and Kabato back towards the remains of the mansion. She'd actually been hoping for a smaller group of people. She wasn't planning to fight anyone or anything. Instead, she was using her abilities to determine the location of enemies so that she could avoid them. Avoiding combat allowed the group to move faster. The fact that there were no others with them also helped with speed, so the five of them made good time. Before too long, they had arrived at the remains of the mansion. "Nobody's here," Aesera said after making a mental sweep of the area. "Good. Let's go." Aesera led the group across the rubble that was once the Karma mansion. It was difficult for her to determine what rooms had been where in some cases, but Aesera managed to do well enough, thanks mainly to the information she'd gotten from Alexia's mind. She couldn't determine the exact location of the armory, but she was able to narrow it down to a small area, and from there it didn't take long to dig through the rubble and find what was left of the armory. Using her memory of the armory's layout, Aesera located what had been the armory's modern weapons section. She went through the weapons until she found the ones she was looking for. As she located each weapon, she examined it, doing her best to determine whether or not it was still functional. Many did still work, but there were some that were clearly non-functional. Those Aesera passed over. They would be of no use in their current state, and Aesera didn't know how to fix them. Eventually, Aesera had determined which weapons were still usable. There were more than could be carried, so Aesera picked the ones that would be most useful. She picked a variety, as different weapons were more useful in different situations. She also located extra power packs for the weapons. When she was done, she called everyone over to her and distributed the weapons and power packs among them. She didn't worry about having them be easy to grab and use, as none of the others were likely to know how to use them. "Okay, there we go," she said when she was done. "These weapons may come in handy. Now, you four need to get to the safe house. Just head straight in that direction and you'll reach it," she told them, pointing in the direction of the safe house. "You're not coming with us, then," Kairi concluded. Aesera nodded. "That's right. I have other business to take care of. I'll make my way to the safe house once I've done so. Make sure Alexia knows not to wait on me for anything, and that includes relocating. If you leave the safe house, I'll know. Don't find me; I'll find you. "Now," Aesera continued, "there are still a few spawn scattered throughout the woods so you may have to fight. If that's the case, do not use the guns. Use your other weapons. They are matched to your souls, so you can use them even if you have no prior skill with them. This is not true for the guns. I can show you how to use them, but until then, stick with your other weapons. "Now, there's one last thing you should know. Posession of any of these weapons by civilians is highly illegal. In fact, a couple of them don't even officially exist. I have no idea how Karma got them. So be careful." "We will," Kabato said. "Well, let's get going." As the others began to walk off, Aesera held Kairi back. "Kairi, I need to tell you something," she said softly. "Aesera and I know of your past, and of your 'beast', but as far as I can tell, none of the others do. And it's best to keep it that way. Telling the others will only cause them to distrust you, and we cannot afford that. Do you understand?" "I do," Kairi replied. "Good," Aesera said. Kairi caught up with the others as they headed into the woods, towards the safe house. Aesera watched them go, then she waited. She didn't have to wait long before a world police team arrived. As the team arrived, Aesera cast out her mental net and attempted to determine if her father was among them. It wasn't easy; she'd never been in his mind before, so she wouldn't be immediately able to identify it. However, she was able to pick thoughts out of specific minds, and by doing so she was able to determine that her father was indeed present, and that he was leading the team as she'd anticipated. Aesera watched as the world police team got out of their vehicles. They spotted her immediately, of course, and she'd expected this. She wasn't worried, because she knew that they wouldn't shoot her on sight. They'd want to know why she was here, of course, but being at the site of a destroyed mansion was no reason for violence. Besides, Aesera knew that her father would recognize her. "Sir, we've spotted an unknown female within the mansion's remains," one of the world police officers said. Daego looked in the direction the officer indicated and saw the woman. He recognized her almostimmediately. "Take no action," he instructed his men. "That woman's identity and purpose are classified on a need-to-know basis, and you don't need to know. I'm going to go speak to her. While I'm doing so, I want you to set up the survey equipment. Branit, you'll operate." "Yes, sir!" Branit replied. He and the other officers set to work as Daego approached the woman, whom he knew was his daughter, Aesera. As Daego approached, Aesera turned her back to him. She lifted her hair, allowing Daego to see the symbol on the back of her head. "Well, that tells me a lot very quickly," Daego remarked as Aesera let her hair back down and turned around to face him. "I thought it would," Aesera replied. "And it has been done for all eight of us." "Where are the other seven?" Daego asked. "The others are in the woods," Aesera answered, "heading towards a nearby safe house. We were forced to flee the mansion when the spawn and Omega attacked. We all survived, though. The only notable casualty was Lady Karma, who unfortunately did not make it." "Omega?!" Daego exclaimed. "Omega attacked the mansion? I wonder if that was a coincedence, or if Omega knew what this place was." "I'm wondering the same thing," Aesera replied. "But that's not why I'm here. I'm here for two reasons. Reason one is weaponry. During the attack, Alexia led us to the mansion's armory. You could find almost any kind of weapon in there, from swords to laser pistols. There were also some class... I think it's class J, and there were also... what letter is the don't-officially-exist category? I can never remember if it's K or L." "It's K," Daego told Aesera. "You mean there were class K weapons?" Aesera nodded. "Yes. I have no idea how Karma managed to get them, but that's definitely what they were. Anyways, during the attack, I grabbed a couple laser pistols, but speed was important, so I had to leave the heavier J and K weapons behind. When Omega left, I and four others returned here. Some of the weapons were too badly damaged to function, but many were still functional. I picked out as many as could be carried, along with extra power packs. The other four are on their way to the safe house. I remained here in hopes that you would be with the world police team that would undoubtably show up. If you hadn't been, I would have left, but fortunately you did come. "Now, on to the second reason I came back here. I need to speak with you about a couple things. The eight of us have decided to head for Tokyo, which is where Alpha currently is. Unfortunately, getting there could be problamatic. Commercial transportation is too dangerous, thanks to the spawn." "You want me to arrange transportation for you, then," Daego concluded. "That's correct. We need private transportation, preferably off the record. And it needs to come with any necessary crew, because neither I nor any of the others would know how to do anything. I thought you'd be able to help." "I can probably arrange something," Daego replied. "Good," Aesera said. "Also, we could use some heavier weaponry. The class K weapons will be useful against spawn, but not the titans. We need something that'll do some damage to the titans." "That may be a bit more difficult. You'll probably need class L weapons for that, and as you know, class L weapons are even more restricted than class K weapons. It won't be easy to get any L weapons, but I'll see what I can do." "That's all I can ask for," Aesera replied. "All right, that's all for now. I should get going. Make sure the world police don't search the woods. We don't want them after us for any reason." Daego nodded. "That I can guaruntee." "Good," Aesera said. "I have my cell phone, and it's on as always. I charged it last night, so with the extra-long-lasting battery pack I got for it, it'll be good for several days without a recharge, plus I can recharge it almost anywhere, thanks to the adapter option. Makes me glad we got all the optional hardware features. Anyways, call me when you've done what you can, whether or not you're successful." "I will," Daego told Aesera. "All right, then. I'll see you... well, sometime. 'Bye." And with that, Aesera headed into the woods, towards the safe house. "All right, people," Daego said upon returning to his team. "There's been a change of plan. We're going to cut this short. Branit, restrict the survey to the mansion grounds. We're ignoring the woods. Vaxla, Eso, Damien, Jaht, Keraea, you're on corpse duty. Bag any bodies you find. Azufe, radio in for the transport truck. We'll be needing it a bit sooner than expected. David, Leoa, Kiva, you're with me. There are class J and K weapons in the area. Yes, you heard me right. The reason such weapons are here is classified need-to-know, and you don't need to know. All you need to know is that we're to gather all of them, no matter how damaged, and any extra power packs and other equipment with them. Liasa, Selna, you two stay with the vehicles. Any questions?" There were none, so the team sprang into motion. -------------------------------------------------- OOC: Tell me if I need to change anything, DC. Oh, and that last world police bit has no extra significance, just to be sure you all know.
Kairi
Something about Aesera unnerved Kairi as they were directed to head back to the safehouse...what the fuck is with all this waiting and walking in circles... Eve and Zach walked behind him as the cat took its place beside him and walked at the young boys pace. Kairi looked back to Eve and Zach who were talking amongst themselves about the evenings events...how he envied them and their love for one another; in that moment...the two of them looked like his mother and father. He would've given anything to be held right now by someone, his impulse was to just turn around and run towards them and embrace them...even though he didn't know them. However his pride got the better of him, and he turned his gaze back towards the trail leading up towards the safehouse. What troubles thee young master......the voice inside his head was feminine and divine as it echoed in Kairi's mind. He smiled softly and looked down at the feline which purr'd against his leg. "So it was you who warned me before." Kairi's voice was soft and peaceful; Eve could hear over her and Zach's conversation that Kairi was speaking, but couldn't make out what he was saying. Kairi's memory flashed back to his encounter with the spawn...and his temptation. The cat meowed in acknowledgement, I was surprised young master that you would listen to such a foreign voice and its instructions... "At this point in my life...there is no such thing as coincidence...and it was ment for me to listen and obey; for everyone's safety." Again the cat meowed and brushed its tail against Kairi's ankle, going underneath his pant leg. I must ask however, you look tired and frustrated...what is it that makes you so? "Did your master put you up to this as she talkes with her lover?" Kairi was getting defensive...the cat was prying. No no...however I am looking out for my masters best interests...and I find it curious as to why no beast has attacked us yet while you've been in our presence...are you holding them at bay now? Kairi said nothing, but as the cat did in its own noises, Kairi bowed his head in acknowledgement. Just at that time, Eve's pace behind them quicken as she caught up with Kairi and the cat. Faith quickly turned and jumped into Eve's arms, snuggling and showing affection as she glided her fur up against Eve's tender skin. "How are you doing Kairi?" knowing she'd left Zach to fend for himself behind them, she decided to take the opportunity to get to know this young boy. Looking down at him, her suspicions of him grew stronger, sensing something was "out of place and differnt" about this boy. Kairi looked up at her and smiled brightly like a small child getting a piece of candy..."I'm doing very well thank you besides a slight feeling of anxiety about what to do next...youself?" He was so proper and polite, definitly not typical of a young one; "The same, I w's wonderin' bout your wound...Cole told me that she had quickly repaired it earlier." Kairi had completely forgotten about it, "It's fine thank you..." in a somewhat timid response. Eve gently placed a hand on his left shoulder...which unknown to her comforted Kairi more than she could have possibly imagined...the feeling of touch and kindness towards him was like a drug; something so despritely needed in his life to surpress "it" away. Zach quickly joined them and took Eve's other hand as she continued to hold Faith. As they continued their walk to the safehouse, there were still no attacks upon them...and their fear seemed to desipate which resulted in more joyous and comfortable conversation.
Redemption
OOC: You forgots about me ;_; Kyne's eyebrow arched as the humming of the forcefield echoed painfully in his ears. A growl resonated from his throat. The humming was painful and irritating at best. But what concerned him more was why Alexia didn't put the forcefield up when they first arrived. He felt annoyed at this girl's seemingly whimsical attitude towards this whole fiasco. True, Alexia did seem knowledgeable about the spawn and the Gods' souls, but to him, she has portrayed an image of unjustified behaviour. And to Kyne, that was one of the most infuriating things about people. " Before we see to the others, is there anything you would like to know? I'm sure I can answer almost any of your questions. Any of you." Kyne didn't listen if there was any questions from Cole or Marquis, his gaze darting from Alexia to an unconscious Aurelia. Mayon was perched on his shoulder. The crow ruffled his wings with discontent. Master.... all this waiting... I know Mayon. I'm losing my patience with her. Kyne referred to Alexia as her. What do you intend to do about it? She is technically the leader of this outfit. I have a question I wanted answered first. Kyne could hear no more questions being asked so he approached Alexia with a glowering look upon his face. She looked up at him with a cautious expression. " Yes Kyne?" she asked. " I want to speak to you... alone," he replied, his tone oozing with iciness. Alexia looked mildly shocked but followed him out into a corridor, away from the room Cole, Marquis and Aurelia were in. He wanted to make sure no one would overhear their converstation. Going into a small sideroom, Kyne turned around and faced Alexia. He looked deadly serious as he asked her one seemingly simple question. " What is Kairi?" OOC: Veritas and KG, you have the opportunity to ask Alexia questions before Kyne takes her away. In the 'Kyne didn't listen if there was any questions from Cole or Marquis' bit.
Astdis
They broke through the woods to see the safe house a few yards ahead. Spawn slunk in the shadows, unable to get close to the building. Alexia must have done something to shield it. That still however left them outside. Eve looked at Zech who slipped one of the guns from his shoulder and cocked it. Eve just stared at him disbelieving for a moment. Instantly he had shifted from protective boyfriend to a fighter. ?Do ya know ?ow ta use one of those?? ?Yeah, point and click, easy enough.? He looked at her, his eyes were blank, a side of him she had never seen before. ?I got this babe.? Kairi nodded at them and positioned himself for attack. Eve turned her attention back to the spawn. Silently she released the katana from its sheath and felt her fingers tingle with a strong warmth? She sliced through the first spawn before the others even saw them coming. He fell before her in two halves, both perfectly scorched and cartelized. The next went less neatly, but just as quickly and hotly. Off to her left she could hear Zech?s gun firing; to her right she heard the crushing sounds of hand-to-hand combat. Faith stood at her side for an instant, then was gone. Eve brushed her long hair from her face and ran for the safe house?
Akieen Cloud
Cole looked out the window and looked back at the others. "Hey, the others are heading this way." She saw Kyne's look and shrank down slightly. "Just FYI that's all." She streached and gasped as her arm throbbed making her fall to one knee. The flesh around the wound turning black. "You said we could as questions right?" "Yes." "Am I going to turn into one of those things?" Alexia looked at her confused for a moment till Cole raised her arm showing her the crule looking wound. "This! Where that damned thing bit me, am I going to become one! I need to know. If I am I would rather let you all go and leave me here. I don't want to put any of you in danger. I'm still trying to catch up here, I don't and proabably won't, ever understand any of this." She took a dee breath and winced again as her arm throbbed and the blackness spread again. "It seems to be reacting to your emotions, dont get emotional and you'll be fine." She frowned up at Kyne who made it sound so easy. "Oh yeah? Easy enough for you to say Mr.Stone! You never show any emotion, the most emotion I think I have ever seen on your face is when you first saw me and that made no sense cause I don't even know you, and when your fighting! So you tell me something, how do you do it? Just make believe like the people around don't mean anything? Like if you wanted to you could just walk away from them and leave them standing in the rain as if they never even exsisted?!" She stopped her-self realizeing that she was yelling at him acting like he was her brother, he looked so much like it; it was hard not to. The person she saw infront of her was Kyne not her brother, she wanted him to be though, in her heart. Her brother and her were only half but they had bonded well and become very close in the short time that they had been together till her father took her away and remarried. She had never gotten another sibling after that and had almost completely forgotten her brother till she had seen Kyne the first day at the mansion. She looked down blushing, ashamed at her-self. She stood and walked past Kyne towards the small bathroom to go run water over the wound on her arm. She spotted the picture she had dropped earlier under his foot, thinking it was his she reached down, pulled out from under his heel and handed it to him. "You dropped this." Keeping her eyes down she retreated to the bathroom and shut the door. She looked in the mirror and wiped her watering eyes. She turned on the faucet and stuck her arm under the running water, she bit back a whimper as the sting of the water reached her nerves and she looked back into the mirror. Her eyes dark now, with flecks of gold swimming through them. She had changed ever since setting out on this wild goose chase and had never even realized it. She leaned forward pressing her forehead against the cool glass of the mirror and let out a deep breath she hadn't even notcied she was holding. She had let all that go at the wrong person and hadn't even apologized, and on the inside she didn't want to. She felt the tears well up in her eyes and blinked them back. Turning off the water she opened the mirror and grabed a gauze wrap and procceded to wrap her arm tightly. Afterwards she sat on the toilet and thought about things for a moment, or at least till someone had to go or came and got her out. Kairi
...oh no... a sudden overwelming feeling of being drained of strength clouded Kairi's mind as the spawn began to appear like cockroaches. Gunfire could be heared echoing throughout the woods as Zach came into view besides Eve, blashing away. "I'll hold them off!" the voice of anger came into Kairi's voice once again as a pack of wolves emerged from the bushes. It didn't take long for Eve to bring her eyes to Kairi's and nod. WIthout warning a single wolf sprung from its hiding place and made quick chase to Eve and Zach who didn't seem to hear its charge as they made their way towards the safehouse. Forming in his hand a whip, Kairi flicked his wrist and was able to tangling the wolf's hind legs, causing it to fall on its belly. With all of his strength, Kairi pulled the beast towards him causing it to lift off the ground. As the wolf flew through the air towards him, the whip dissapeared and formed a battle axe in Kairi's hands. As the wolf was close enough, Kairi spun...creating momentum for himself and the weapon and slashed towards upon the beasts back, severing its spinal collum. Without warning two more wolves attacked Kairi, one latching onto his right thigh, and thee other on his left shoulder where he had been injured before. Their jaws clamped down on his tightly as the pain intensified. Kairi screamed in agony as the beasts tore through his flesh. For a brief moment, he felt only a taste of the pain he had once inflicted innocent beings in what he called ''hell" when he once served Isabell. Trying to seperate his mind from his bodies pain, Kairi concentrated a simple dagger and jabbed it into the wolves skull which was bitting down on his tight. The wolf died quickly, releasing its grip on his leg, causing Kairi to collapse to his knees. The other wolf still began to chew on Kairi's shoulder as he reached up with both arms and grabbed its up and lower jaw. Trying as he may, Kairi opened the wolfs mouth and slip out from its bite and began to wrestle with it. Kairi leaped into the air, still holding onto the wolfs jaws and landed on its back, causing it to collapse onto its belly. Using his one good leg, Kairi made sure not to let the wolf to be able to push up with its hind legs. The wolf struggled underneath Kairi's grasp. His eyes once again turned a golden tint as he ripped the lower jaw of the wolf completely off. The body fell limp and dead as another wolf emerged from the forest, attempting to take Kairi from behind. Suddenly the growl of a lone cat was heard as its small body fell on the wolfs face, scratching and bitting at its eyes. Kairi took this opportunity to seperate himself from the fight as much as possible and began to crawl along the forest floor. Suddenly Faith was thrown into a tree close to Kairi as the animal screamed in pain as its body crushed against it. Kairi turned back to see the wolf in quick persuit. Mustering up his remaining strength, Kairi created a massive mace and pushed it up towards the sky and let its face from crashing down onto the wolfs skull; its cracking noise could be heard clearly as the animal entire head flattened. Taking the cat into his good arm, Kairi turned his gaze towards the safehouse...Eve and Zach weren't to be seen...he muttered a prayer hoping they had gotten in safely. The safehouse rested on top of a hill which Kairi now attempted to crawl up, using the trees roots sprouting out of the ground and the solid rocks imbedded into the hillside to climb. Howls of other wolves soon erupted all around him...and for a good moment or two, Kairi felt fear for his life, and began to sob as he tried to continue to climb with Faith moaning in his arms. Astdis
Zech and Eve slammed into the side of the building panting from running the hill and the fight, they threw themselves through the door. Eve leaned against the wall, eyes closed, concentrating as small wounds up her legs and arm sewed themselves up and she shook off the intensity from the past few seconds. Zech placed a hand on her shoulder. She opened her eyes and gave him a weak smile. Scanning the room, she saw some of the others but? ?Where?s Faith?? ?What?? Zech was startled, he turned scanning the room. ?She disappeared when the fightin? started, she should ?ave been able to appear ?ere.? Just then Eve felt a sharp pain go through her mind. With a quiet scream she collapsed against the wall. Zech caught her and braced her weight until she pulled herself up. ?She needs ?elp.? Eve reached for the door and Zech started to stop her. She turned and stared him down. He knew she had to go back out there. As much as he wanted to protect her, this was her fight, not his. Eve ran out onto the field and saw Kairi, holding Faith. He was injured, badly, and Faith was too hurt herself to be able to heal him, she had to heal herself first. Eve started toward them, then she heard it. The howling. She looked beyond them and saw the wolves mounting the hill. There was a protective shield around the house, but it didn?t reach Kairi. She removed the bow from her shoulder and notched an arrow. She fired and then reloaded and fired again. She didn?t have to look, she knew each shot would go exactly where she wanted it to. The sound of small explosions reached her ears from the arrows landing positions. Eve slung the bow back across her back and ran to Kairi, kneeling beside him. ?Eve?? She reached out and ran a hand over his leg. The fire from her hands transferred to the wound and it healed. Eve extended a hand to pull him to his feet. ?Come on, I?ll ?eal the rest once we?re safe.? Quickly she ran a hand through Faiths fur and her painful muews stopped. The wolves had recovered from the explosion and were regaining their footing. Kairi glanced back and then they ran up the hill and dove into the house.
demonchild781
OOC: I'm going to try not make this post too messy. "What is Kairi?" the question jabbed at her like a dull knife attempting to cut through her tender mind. Why was she struggling so hard to keep this team together, this was what she was trained to do from the time she could sit on her own. She brushed her hair from her face, the red streak flopping over the other side of her face, and looked up at Kyne with stone cold percision. "You have no need to be concerned with what Kairi is. All you need to know is that he has the God of Loyality's soul. Any further questions you may have of the young lad is either for him to answer or for you not to know until another point in time." Alexia's voice stayed firm and calm as she watched a darkened, and slightly harden glare, reflect on his handsome face. She was about ready to exit the room when Cole came in. "Hey, the others are heading this way. Just FYI that's all." Alexia looked past them both out the window and saw the others a group of spawn surrounding them. This was not good, not good at all. She dashed towards the door, Jarod, her mother's butler, following closely behind her. She peered through the front window and saw Eve and Zech both running her way after severial shots were fired. Alexia turned her attention back towards Jarod as she began to slip the gloves from her hands off. "Kabato has fallen behind. Stand watch and open this door when the others get close enough to the shield." Alexia grasped the door handle, instantly turning the metal from cold to warm. Her thoughts floated to her "curse" briefly, she may not be able to feel the metal under her scarred hands, but at least she didn't set everything a blaze with them either. "Shut this door when I'm two feet from the house." "Yes young mistress." Jarod nodded his understanding as Alexia flung the door open and raced out of the safe house towards the far end behind Eve, Zech, and Kairi. "Chase!" Alexia shouted as she made her way swiftly from the clearing back into the trees. "Yes, Master?" Chase appeared before her, but not blocking her view. "Find Kabato." The nymph nodded and vanished. Alexia continued her run when Chase appeared once more. "He is surrounded by human spawn, Master." Chase told her plainly. "Where?" Chase turned then and darted in and around the trees, Alexia following swiftly and easily behind him. She hadn't been far from him, and he was surrounded by six spawn, four others laid slain not far from where he stood now. His sword was out and ready for the next spawn to attack. What Kabato didn't see and Alexia did was the wolf spawn that was inching its way closer to him every time he took in a breath. "Kabato! Watch out!" Alexia shouted, turning some of the spawn in her direction. She lunged forward, jumped up, and flipped over the heads preparing to tackle the wolf before it had its chance to strick. But Fate would not be on her side this evening. The wolf was in the air by the time she was at the spawn line and on Kabato by the time she was over them. It had lunged at the back of him, sinking its deadly fangs into the back of his neck. She watched as blood spewed from the wound as her feet came crashing down onto the Earth. The rest of the spawn flew at her while her guard was dropped. "My Master!" Chase's little voice wailed and Alexia swirled around. A spinning heel kick sent the first foe flying backwards, and her fist slamming into another's face caused him to fall to the ground in convulsions. She slid past another as the sickening sound of flesh being ripped from the body echoed in the background. She dare not turn around to see what had happened to Kabaot, knowing there was no way to save him now as the next spawn came at her. Her fist flew foward, landed in the middle of her chest as her foot came up to knock him away. At least they were seemingly mindless beings allowing her to make a relatively quick get away. She was back into the field when she saw Kairi and Eve fighting their way back up the hill. Spawn were crawling all over the place. "What will you do, my Master?" Chase hovered over head. "Have you transport me in front of the house," Alexia winced grimly at the idea she should have thought of sooner. "Yes, my master." With a quick blink, Alexia stood before the shield, Jarod opening the door once he saw her. Spawn flew at them, but had no time to reach her as she stepped inside the safe house once more. "Is that blood on you?" Marquis asked as she walked towards the back of the main room. Alexia looked down and pulled the front of her shirt forward to see a large red smear across it. "Yeah, I guess that would be blood." She said solemnly, walking past them all. "My master, about miss Aesera." Chase pipped up. "What of her?"
Astdis
Eve took some deep halting breaths and then turned to Kairi. ?Where are your other injuries?? He pointed them out to her and she went about healing him. Faith went over to Zech and curled up by his feet. She needed the rest. ?Why are you so kind to me?? Eve looked up at Kairi?s questioning face and smiled ?You saved my cat.? Kairi?s quizzical look was unaltered, but he did smile slightly. Once he was all healed, Eve went into the house to check on the others. She noticed that Kabato was not there. He had disappeared early in there walk back to the safe house, she had assumed he had made it there ahead of them. Odd? Eve was about to turn back to the main room when she saw Cole, sitting just inside the bathroom cradling her arm and staring into space. ?ere, let me elp you with that.? Cole pulled away from her and stared up at her, not with hostility but surprise. ?I?m not goin? to ?urt you. Trust me.? Slowly Cole let Eve take hold over her arm. The wound was deep and nasty. It would take a lot of energy to heal it completely. ?Faith.? The cat appeared at her side and looked up at her expectantly. ?I?ll need you in a moment.? Eve turned her attention back to the arm. Resting her hand on it, slowly the wound started to change color. First purple than green, then yellow. Eve stepped back and leaned against the wall. ?It?s clean, and mostly ?ealed. Faith, lay on her arm until it?s mended.? Seeing Coles odd expression Eve explained, ?She?s a very? special cat.?
GuyYouMetOnline
OOC: Wait, so is Kabato dead now? Or does everyone just think he's dead? --------------------------------------------------------- Aesera made her way towards the safe house, keeping her mental net out. This allowed her to sense any nearby spawn, which she could then avoid. But she didn't sense many spawn. Occasionally she'd sense one or two, but that was all. There'd been more spawn around when she'd been leading the others back to the mansion, so Aesera wondered what had happened to them. A battle would have been the most obvious explination, but there were no signs that a fight had taken place, which left Aesera uncertain as to where they all were. As she drew closer to the safe house, Aesera began picking up a multitude of thoughts and emotions. At first, they were too unclear for her to be able to make anything out, but as she drew closer, they became more coherent, and Aesera discovered the answer to her question about the spawn. The others were under attack. Aesera drew her laser pistols as she ran towards the safe house. She wished that she had a more dangerous weapon, but the others had all of those, and hopefully they'd heed her warning and not use any of the weapons, as they didn't know how to properly do so. Until Aesera was able to reach the others, she'd just have to make do with what she had. Suddenly, there was a breif emotional burst from the direction of the safe house. It came too quickly for Aesera to sort through it all, but she could tell that there was definitely fear. The burst was over quickly. What the hell was that? Aesera wondered. It wasn't long before she had a guess, though. Aesera picked up thoughts from Alexia, and from them learned of Kabato's death. Is that it? Did that burst come from Kabato? Well, no time to wonder about it now. I've got to get to the others. Aesera no longer took the time to evade spawn. Whenever she ran into any spawn, she simply shot them while continuing forward. She didn't stop for anything. Kabato was already dead, and that was bad enough. Another loss could not be allowed to happen. Aesera knew that she had to reach the others. Not only would this increase her own chances of survival, it would also increase the chance of survival for the group as a whole, as Aesera knew how to use the weapons that the others had. It wasn't long before Aesera saw the safe house, She approached it quickly, but stopped when she noticed that all the spawn around it were stopped a short distance away from it. Aesera looked in the minds of the others and saw that the safe house was covered by a force feild. Shit, Aesera thought. This isn't good. It seems that they can deactivate the force feild pretty easily, but they won't do it until I'm close, which means I have to go out there. Well, I guess I don't have a choice. I hope they're paying attention. Aesera dashed towards the safe house's door, shooting any spawn in her way. But there were too many of them for her to deal with by herself. Positioned as close to the safe house's door as she could be with the force feild active, Aesera held off the spawn as best she could, hoping that someone would let her in before it was too late. -------------------------------------------------------- OOC: Yes, the emotional burst Aesera got was from Kabato as he died (assuming, of course, that he's actually dead). Veritas
OOC: Sorry I haven't posted in awhile everyone, Life's been crazy is the easiest way to put it. "Is that blood on you?" Marquis asked as Alexia walked towards the back of the main room. Alexia looked down and pulled the front of her shirt forward to see a large red smear across it. "Yeah, I guess that would be blood." She said solemnly, walking past them all. Marquis let it go, he didn't need to ask who's, he could see it in her eyes, only a slight change, but they had grown that much harder, and her aura matched the change. He overheard Chase make a comment about Aesera, though Alexia seemed detached at the moment, less human than not, though maybe that was just how she was, she did have alot of weight on her shoulders. Marquis casually leaned against the wall, his mind was racing but he kept the thoughts surpressed, focusing on sensory awareness. Although he couldn't help but notice the slight glow from the back of his hand, concentrating he produced a glow of light from his palms, the marks on the backs of his hands glowing lucidly. "So this light is how I heal people I suppose, but it's weird I feel like that's only the tip of the iceburg, the energy feels like I could refine it into something else....." Holding his palm out Marquis focused, "Something simple, a ball." The light began to swirl into a shape, the light from his palm dulling as the cross on the back of his hand shone brighter. The ball of light began to expand slightly, as Marquis willed it to grow, finally stopping when it was as big as a baseball, resting softly in his palm. "Let's try something more complexed." Marquis mumbled focusing on the shape of a dagger, the ball began to twist and contort, lengthening, trying to settle into the shape of a Main Gauche. Sweat beaded down Marquis's face, as the daggerish shape distorted, dispelling in a bright flash. The flash brought alot of stares from the people in the room, some of the God's Souls, some of them from the rescued servants. Shrugging Marquis shook the stared off, glancing outside through the window. Squaring with the window he saw Aesera, running and gunning towards the safe house, and she was almost to the barrier. "I see Aesera, I'm gonna go open the barrier" Marquis stated running towards the door. As he reached the door he quickly opened it, creating a temporary hole in the barrier. Aesera had her back to the door, laser pistols firing at closing spawn. Swiftly Marquis reached out with his left arm grabbing her right arm pulling her in the door. As she stumbled through the door Marquis could see a spawn infested bear almost to the door. "Shit I can't close everything in time" He thought stepping in front of Aesera, holding his right hand up, elbow at his hip. Quickly Marquis formed another ball of light, hovering an inch from his hand, steping forward with his right foot he thrust his palm foward the ball rocketing towards the bear. It struck the beast in it's snarling face, exploding in a bright flash. Quickly turning he shut the door, coming face to face with Aesera "What was that?" "I'm not quite sure, but I'm pretty sure it's only a basic application, but I don't think I killed the bear, it's probably just knocked out, and probably temporaly blinded, I'm not really sure." Marquis explained looking down at his palm, brushing past the girl. "What other secrets lie within my body, within my soul?" He thought turning his hand over under his gaze. OOC: Sorry crappy post I didn't really know what to post, anyways sorry that it sucks.
