Nature's Wrath: rated M (VL)

The tree tops swayed as a lone figure made his way along them. His pace was swift and with a purpose. Below him three other figures followed along the ground. They moved with an odd urgency, almost like animals hunting for a long awaited meal. The tree top runner made bounded off a near branch and landed a few feet in front of his pursuers. Sweat gleaned on his checks and made his silver hair cling to his face. His green and brown eyes stared death into the ones who had been stalking him. The three brought blades to bare and opened their mouths to show large fangs. The one they had been following showed fangs of his own, but these were made of steal and wielded in his own hands. His twin scimitars Wolf and Dragon Fang gleamed from the rays of moon light through forest canopy. The wind blew hard and brought wail of death on it. The gust blew the scimitars masters red scarf to and fro as if dancing.

?Come you abominations of nature, come and meet your deaths vampires.?

The statement brought smiles to the three children of the night. They leapt at the man with alarming speed. The first came in wild and with a heavy horizontal slice. The man stepped back and let only the breeze from the blow touch him. Dragon Fang, his left blade, however meet the creature in the heart. The vampire smiled since the blade was not silver. He smiled, until he felt searing heat running through his body and then nothing. He was rendered no more than a pile of ash. The second and third vampire attacked with more control and together. Each on of the tree man?s blades worked separately to fend off the two vampires. The second, on the man right, made a heavy lunge and paid for the over aggressive attack. Wolf Fang parried and reposted with a slash and thrust to the heart. This time in place of heat came cold, but even more so than this creatures own blood. The vampire stood in place with his skin a bluer hue of white. The last vampire went on the defensive, but it was all for not. The man rushed in gave a low feint, which the careless vampire went for. Then brought both blades to bare making crossing slices on the creatures neck. As the last vampires head rolled of the man stepped back and looked at the frozen one. His hate for these creatures was great, so great he didn?t finish the abomination with a thrust from Dragon Fang. He sheathed his blades and began chanting. Slowly flames began to collect around his hands, and after a time burned brightly. His final words sent the rush of fire at the vampire. The blaze engulfed and incinerated the blood sucker.
When all was over the man sat against a tree and tried to relax. He called forth several birds and his best friend Vulpus the fox. His friend greeted him with a playful nudge and then sat down.

?My friends we are faced with a dire situation. These vampires have begun popping up more and more. Several crows have brought word they also walk the nights in the cities. This is to great for just are clan to handle. I need each of you to go forth and find others who are willing to fight back. This land is vast so be quick about your mission. Go my friends, find help!?

***********************
Ronyo could only hope that help would come soon. No matter how many came anything was better then him alone against these creatures. For Ronyo feared these vampires were planning something on a global scale. They had become too aggressive as of late to be just a crazed feeding. He couldn?t dwell on that now for he needed to get back to his cave and recuperate his lost strength. Ronyo had told his animal friends where any allies could find him, his cave.
It wasn?t much to look at but it was far more inside. Ronyo had found the cave in its present condition and could only speculate it would have been a Dwarven mine, but something must have gone wrong. However Ronyo had gone over the cave several times and never found anything wrong. The opening of the cave was large enough to allow someone access without having to duck. Just inside the entrance one would see two doors Ronyo had put in. One lead to his vault, and the other to the rest of his ?home.? tunnels and small areas at the ends dotted the inner most room. Ronyo?s room lay straight ahead from entering the inner room. All the others were free for what, or now who, ever needed them.
Once Ronyo had reached his home he found a spot just inside to relax in. Vulpus went to stand guard just outside the mouth of the cave. Ronyo would wait here during the day for his new allies, but at night he would have to patrol the forest for vampires. If he gave them any slack they would act on it faster then he could react. Now time too was his enemy, until helped arrived.

OOC: All right, finally it started!

Watihala was on the journey west to answer a particular call for help she had received a while past. She had started this journey in the small yet beautiful desert near the eastern side of the land, and ever since that night she had been holding onto the legs of a phoenix made of dark energy--one she had created with one of her more intricate spells. After all, her raven friend Persephone was not big or strong enough to carry Wati all that distance. It was late morning now--the journey had taken a little longer because Watihala needed to rest occasionally. Hanging for six hours was nigh impossible--or painful at least. Persephone was still there, though; she followed Wati along, for the phoenix had been made to nearly match the raven's flight speed. But she was often the cause for breaks too, mostly because she was hungry.

Now, Persephone and the phoenix carrying Watihala were flying over the forest, meaning they were very close to their destination: a cave where the druid Ronyo dwelled. It was Ronyo who had called for the other druids' help, as the vampires were becoming more numerous and were beginning to develop rather suspicious plans. It was quite unfortunate that vampires had to drink the blood of living beings to sustain their own; they were quite the bane of predatorhood. At least tigers weren't that vicious and rarely attacked people; the vampires were quite the opposite--in fact, people were their main target. Not even creatures like elephants, which would certainly have more blood, seemed to satisfy them--no, there was something about the more civilized, intelligent beings that made them the vampires' most common victims.

Watihala's left arm was aching from holding on to the phoenix's leg, so she switched to her right arm instead. She looked at her now free left arm and saw the cut that was still bleeding a little. Watihala had made this herself a few hours before, just to quench her slight craving for blood. For the past few years, in fact, she had only tasted her own blood, for she had not the heart to impose that burden on others. Anyways, at this point Wati licked the cut again before it healed, smiling slightly afterward. This smile vanished and became a frown of regret afterwards though.

As the destination grew closer, Watihala began to feel a little worried. Would the other druids find out that she was half-vampire? If they did, would they turn against her? Who was she really--a friend or foe?
Friend, Wati quickly answered, though she was slightly unsure of herself. For now I shall begin this quest by fighting my hardest, and trying my best to keep this part of my identity hidden. I shall try not to stare at people, particularly into their eyes. I shall try not to talk much, especially not with a big mouth. I shall try to spend as much time alone as possible, but not enough so that it seems suspicious. I shall explain that this cut came from a vampire attack if they ask. I shall try to remain as awake as possible in the afternoon...
Watihala yawned--for indeed she was beginning to feel tired. Full vampires were strictly nocturnal, and even Watihala seemed to be more active at night.
...And I shall always cover my mouth when I yawn.

Shortly after finishing these affirmations, Watihala finally landed right outside Ronyo's cave. With a little incantation, the phoenix vanished, and instead Persephone perched atop Wati's shoulder. Then Wati walked up to the door on the right side of the cave and knocked on it. As she waited for an answer, she quickly checked herself over. Fortunately her cut was concealed by the long sleeves of her shirt.

"Hello," greeted the half-elf that answered the door. "I take it you have come to help fight the vampires?"
"Yes," Watihala answered as carefully as possible. "I have answered that call for help."
"Well, for now we just wait for others to arrive," Ronyo explained, still keeping a friendly tone in his voice. "Let us just be glad for now that the forest is as lively and undisturned as ever."
"That makes sense," Watihala commented. "Vampires only come out at night."
"Well why don't you come on in," Ronyo offered. "...Uh... what's your name?"
"Watihala," Watihala answered. "I can go by... Wati... for short though." Wati yawned again while saying this; she was still feeling a tad bit sleepy.
"I usually am out and about at night," Watihala explained before Ronyo could comment, "in order to keep a close eye out for the vampires.
"We won't really get started until nightfall anyways," Ronyo commented, "so you can rest for a while."
Watihala merely nodded as she sat down on a nearby chair. The two would then wait for others to arrive...

Ronyo watched as the young druid went to lay down. She was the first and hopefully not the last that would come to his call. Ronyo could only wonder what was to come, what would happen at the heart of all this, and could they survive it. The sun wasn?t quit at the top of the sky yet, so it must have been a bit after mid-morning. Now that he had help, maybe they could find something to tell them why this was happening. Their first goal needed to be in gathering information about why the vampires were swarming like they were. That meant finding a vamp and keeping him alive long enough to question, or?well the only other thing would be to ?visit? one of the local lords. The ladder of the two didn?t appeal to Ronyo much. Normal vampires were one thing, and even normal pure bloods didn?t pose to much of a problem, but a lord?that was something different. The more Ronyo thought about the more it became clear that only a lord would have the information they needed. Something this big wouldn?t have been entrusted to the infected or the common pure bloods, such a thing was below the lords. The trick was who to see, because being a druid he had good dealings with none. All would rather see him die then tell him the plans of there race. This new druid gave them added strength that could help tip the scales now if only?..Ronyo?s eyes caught a blue bird flying right to him. He saw Vulpus running along side it bounding with excitement. The druid of the Fox Hole woods held out his hand for the cerulean fledgling.

?what news have you my flying friend??

?I come on behalf of request made by Ronyo the druid. I come to deliver that druid Trellion has heeded or call. He will arrive around noon,? with that the blue bird flew off and left a song trailing in the wind.

?Thank you my friend. Well now that makes three. Can three do this?..this task set out before us? Do so little really care about the future of this world,? Ronyo turned and looked into his cave,? if that is so then we shall still defend it. For such is are task in life as druids.?

Reyas: I agree i also saw a fox running around maybe i will see if there are any loose rats around (with that he flew off)

Ronyo shook Trellion?s hand grateful to see someone else come to help. Now they would be able to gather the information they needed.

?Alright, I?m gonna go ahead and lay this on the table. We need information about what?s going on with the vampires. Information like this won?t come from a normal infected or even a common pure blood. Will have to ask a vampire lord,? Ronyo could see by his new allies faces the thought didn?t sit well with them either, ? There are only three lords in this area for us to choose from and none of them are push overs. There is Lord Steal in the high mountains, Lord Van? who lives just on the boarder of the woods, and Lord Malkite who dwells near the river. Malkite is the closest and the easiest one to get to. I think since he is so enclosed within in the forest it will play more towards are benefit. Even with that said once one of us is inside that castle we will be on his ground.?

?Wait, what do you mean once one of us gets in? Don?t you mean all of us?? Trellion asked.

?No, I do mean one of us. Since there are only three of us we need to keep are numbers a secret. All of us walking up to a vampire lord not knowing if he is apart of all this would mean show are entire hand at the beginning. We must act with the utmost secrecy. For this I have something of a plan.
Wati I was hoping you would be the one to see Lord Malkite. Unfortunately I must play the sexist card, for your gender gives you the advantage here. Malkite is known for entertaining females of all races, so you would have the easiest way in. You will not be alone though, for if I cam manage it I shall watch your conversation from a roof top window overlooking Malkite?s thrown room. I?ve spied through it many times to keep tabs on my neighbor, and make sure he doesn?t go outside his welcome. To add to that, he has never actually proven a threat to this forest. That doesn?t mean he isn?t planning something now however. Back to the matter at hand, Trellion I was hoping you could watch are backs outside. I know Malkite keeps guards, and if we get in a bind will need a way out fast. I hope your Dryad skills can help us there.?

Ronyo watched the two react and waited to hear there input.

"'Tis all right," Watihala answered, sounding more calm than excited. "Fortunately I do not have a pronounced fear of vampires. And paying a visit to the Lord himself... I would certainly do it." But I hope he and his guards don't know me...
"A braver response than I would have expected," Ronyo commented.
"What I might suggest..." Watihala continued. "You don't really need to keep watch over me all the time. If trouble arises, I can contact Persephone--that's my raven friend here--who can warn you. We share a telepathic bond, you see. That way, you can help Trillion, as there are probably several guards there."

For a moment, Watihala knew exactly what she was going to do when she walked into Malkite's lair. Exactly what to say, how to act...
Shall I tell him the truth? Wati thought. Shall I say that I am one of them, and that I want a little more information on the actions of our kind? That might be the most effective way, but if Ronyo overhears... Unless I tell him I am pretending to be a vampire... No, then he'll get suspicious... or will he?

It would all depend on Ronyo's reaction to this suggestion. In the meantime, Watihala remembered when she was younger, when her big sister and her mother took her to see Malkite and the others, for the exact reason of finding out what was going on in the world. Malkite had given a pretty detailed answer that time, but that time he had only allowed them to know that information because he knew they were on his side. Yes, he had seen little Wati that time, but Wati was much older now... So therefore, Wati's plan would depend on both Ronyo's response and whether or not Malkite happened to remember her.
I think I can help the druids very much, Watihala thought after this, especially since I know some of the vampires' intentions, however ancient they may be... though all I know is snippets of what my mother told me as well as what I heard from Malkite ten years ago.

Trellion: I will do what the forest and Mother allow.

Ronyo: I understand what you mean by the forest but Mother?

Trellion: I am sorry all of us Dryads believe in Gaia the spirit of nature and the earth if she allows it i will tear that castle brick from brick to insure we can get to our fellow druid.

Ronyo: I see..

Sending a glance in Watihala his eyebrow goes up slightly

Trellion: However i think Watihala can handle her self in this matter without our help...

Watihala: How generous of you to say.

Trellion: I speak only what i see now if you need help tell your raven to let Reyas the hawk to relay your message it will cut down travel time on both our parts.

Watihala: Very well i agree however i think we should leave as soon as possible

 • 2 weeks later...
OOC: I apologies for not posting for awhile. I was under the impression that some more people would be joining. I was trying to give them enough time to post, then I had school problems?anyways back to the story.

ICC:

?If you think you can handle Malkite Wati, then I shall join Trellion in securing the grounds. I do agree that we should mobilize at once. The sun is starting to set, and by the time we reach Lord Malkite?s castle it will be nightfall.?

Ronyo knew this first step would be an important one but also one of the hardest. Confronting a vampire lord at night was one thing, but in his castle was another. The trio of druids began there trek towards Malkite?s castle all knowing the danger that awaited them. Hopefully Malkite would be happy in entertaining Watihala. The vampire had a weak spot for pretty women and watching them perform a dance or talent they possessed. He was a bit of a oddity in the vampire world. He thought himself far more aristocratic then any other of his ilk. He satisfied his blood lust with a stock given to him by barons and human lords. He wasn?t known for feasting upon those who came as guests. Usually he spared his guest lives in trade for money, favors, or promise of bodies to ad to stock. As the three came with in sight of Malkite?s castle Ronyo stopped them to get some details down.

?Wati your best bet would be to play as a aristocratic noble. Malkite will accept you can entertain him or promise him something in return for his ?gracious? acceptance of an audience. Me and Trellion will secure the ground and make sure we can make a quick escape if it comes to that.?

?I believe the trees will provide us with the help we need,? Trellion smiled

?Then I shall see you two after my meeting. Hopefully on good terms,? Watihala nodded and then was off to Malkite?s castle.

Ronyo and Trellion nodded to each other and began to walk the grounds. Malkite would have guards around his perimeter. There job would be to make a escape route safe, and be able to run in if Wati needed them.

OOC: I will play the part of Malkite, so as to advance the story where it needs to go.

OOC: Hmmm... I was originally planning for Malkite to recognize Watihala as a vampire, but if I do that, I'd have to control him for a very short while... Ah well, just a little detail...
IC:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Persephone the raven was perched atop Watihala's head as Watihala walked towards the castle. The road leading to it was dark, and nobody was walking about, especially near the castle's entrance. This meant that Wati would be the only one to accompany Malkite.
I think it is time for me to take my spot atop the castle, Persephone spoke to Watihala. She didn't really speak though. She and Watihala shared a telepathic bond, so this was more of a telepathic message. But this was all for the better, as it kept the scene quiet.
After Persephone flew towards the castle, Watihala stopped and looked around. Neither Ronyo nor Trillion was in sight; apparently they had not yet arrived. This was perfect, for Watihala had another secret idea. So instead of continuing towards the castle, she turned around and headed throught the trees, back to the village that was near Ronyo's home.
Not too far afterward, Watihala was stading atop a ledge overlooking the village. There were still a few lights in the village from candles or fireplaces. After looking around, Wati sighed and held Oritasu close, looking as if she was praying.
"So Fate leads to this," Wati whispered. "With this act, I am about to break the very customs of the Druids... I am about to fulfill the past. Usually sinful acts are returned by Karma, I am aware. So now I sin... with all the hope that it will work for the better. In this case, a sacrifice must be made. So let evil fight on the side of good."
Watihala picked up a large jar she had picked up along the way and started her descent towards the village. When she reached the ground, she paused behind a house where two men were walking around inside. Standing next to a window, Watihala held up Oritasu as before, this time invoking a spell rather than a prayer.
Sleep, confusion... Such elements are needed this time, tonight. While saying this in her mind, Wati moved her hand till it rested right underneath Oritasu, one of the rings she was wearing reflecting starlight right to the bottom of the sword's handle. Wati then let go of Oritasu with her other hand, but Oritasu stayed in the exact same position, as if by an invisible force. For a fleeting moment, Watihala felt a little drowzy, clear-headed, carefree... but all too soon this feeling left her and revolved in a sort of aura around the blade of Oritasu. After this was done, Oritasu started to fall, but not too long before Watihala caught it.
Watihala peeked into the window again--the two men were now sitting at a table in the house, talking. Seeing that the coast was clear, Wati pointed Oritasu at them. With just the right mental urging, the soporific feeling that floated about Oritasu now floated amongst the two men at the table, who started to nod off. When Watihala was sure the two of them were asleep, she climbed into the house through the window (how dumb, they didn't put any glass in it). Taking a deep breath of the slightest regret, Watihala turned to the first man. It was then that she attacked...
Moments later, the two men were at the table, lifeless, leaning forward with their heads down, slashed and bitten around the arms and neck. Watihala was walking away from the village and back towards the castle, the jar she brought with her now full and quite heavy.
By the time Watihala reached the castle, it was just about dark.
"I am here to visit Lord Malkite," Watihala said to the guard waiting at the door. "I am a noble from the village nearby, and I have in my possession something that will surely please him."
The guard nodded, opened the door, and stuck his heaad inside.
"Master," he called, "a noble from the village is here to accompany you. She says she has something for you."
"Wonderful," said a voice from within that Wati very faintly recognized, "bring her in." Then the guard gestured towards the door, and Watihala finally entered.
"Well well well," Malkite said with a slight smile as Watihala walked in. "Who knew you'd grow up into such a beautiful lady. Why, I was expecting a noblewoman, and instead I get someone of similar kin."
Just as I may have figured, Watihala realized, he does remember me.
"Hello my lord," Watihala greeted. "Long time no see. Ten years past, in fact."
"I see now you come alone," Malkite noticed. "What is your wish this time?"
"I come for advice on what to do next," Watihala replied. "Just like last time, I need an idea of what we, as a whole, are currently up to."
There was a pause.
"In return," Watihala continued as she picked up the jar that she could just barely lift. A thick red liquid flowed inside it. "...I give you this."
Trellion: Somethings wrong...
Looking around he sent a thought to Reyas and asked him if he saw anything. Reyas responded quickly and in rushed tone saying that a squad of young vampires were heading his way.
Trellion: Crap...
Pulling out his staff he sent a wave of Pure Mana to it and a glow started to form around it and once it grew strong enough to Dispell the shadows around his he started to nudge at the plants and trees around him forming a thorny barriar and triplines vines grew between the trees and brambles spewed from their plants pulling a garlic bulb from his pocket he up turned some dirt and placed it in and flowed a small packet of mana into as the plant grew he grabed a whole bulb off it to replace his own and then grabed the other bulbs and scattered them around flowing magick to them and talking to the tree he had them pull their roots slightly from the earth and for the slightest second he felt one with the earth.Then they struck six young ones a vairity of weapons on them they flew at him with unnatural speed and he twirled his staff and prepare to fight.
Trellion: come and get it you unnatural fiends.
Vampire Squad Leader: Your as good as dead Druid.
Trellion: we shall see.
pulling his staff around as the squad leader attacked he sent a powerful burst of mana into the staff and when it slammed into the vamp he disappear into a cloud of dust and burned flesh.
Trellion: WHO ELSE WANTS TO DIE ON THIS NIGHT!
With that the rest of the vampires attacked and as they dodged and weaved in the dance of battle he leaps parried and landed powerful bludgeoning blows onto his foes. Suddenly his staff's runes glowed and a burst of bright sunlight shot from the staff and burned a vampire into a crisp. the others jumped back and stared shocked and then they retreated into the night. Standing there Trellion stood their with the sweat and blood dripping down his body.
Trellion: This is going to be a long night.
Ronyo saw a group of vampires running through the woods. As he got closer he noticed they were fleeing from Trellion. As nice as that was to see Ronyo took off after the one who were attempting to escape, knowing if they did they would get word to Malkite. Ronyo saw Trellion take chase as well knowing the same. There seemed to be four left from the group that attacked Trellion and they were running far from each other, most likely to try and not become one big target. All it succeeded in doing was make them less of a threat. Ronyo?s eyes glowed green as he began asking the forest for help. As one vampire leapt from one tree to the next he was stopped in mid air by the very tree he had jumped from. It help him aloft and upside down. Ronyo came by quickly using the wind to increase his speed. Dragon Fang came in fast and took the Vampires head as he past by. The beast turned to ash and the tree let the dust float away. Trellion had caught up and dealt with two more of the cowardly vampires, dispatching them with his staff. The last would be for Ronyo. The vampire running from him had stopped running through the trees after seeing what happened to his comrade. Ronyo eyes were once again glowing green as he raced his way after the vampire. Tree roots shoot up in front of the creature halting his continued escape. Ronyo was right on him not giving him a second to utter a sound. Both of Ronyo?s fangs had come across the vampires head in an X shape. The unnatural creature?s head exploded from the combined elements of Ronyo?s two swords. Trellion caught up with Ronyo seconds after.
?These accursed creatures will give us no rest tonight. We will be quite busy as Watihala gains her information.? Trellion said as he sneered at the ashes of the fallen vampire.
?Aye, and I do believe Vulpus has found another patrol group. Shall we?? Ronyo waved a hand in the direction he had received Vulpus?s call.
Trellion: so much for spliting up..
Ronyo: considering how they attacked i don't think it was a very good idea..
Trellion: yeah i agree it realy suck however that they are attacking in groups however...just means they are gaining more numbers once again..
Ronyo: Again? what do you mean they have been this way for a long time.
Trellion: There was a time when vampires were scarce and few between however they were very powerful and had a different shape back then. So perhaps what i speak of doesn't apply. however almost two millenia ago my "parent" dispatched of a large population of vampires just as we are doing today but back then they had a tail and the fangs were visable at all times... they were in a sense not as they are today and were much more powerful. Simply placing garlic around a window wouldn't deter them and church water wouldn't burn them..
Ronyo: really i don't remember this tale.
Trellion: it is rather old and of a different area.. however i think these vampires are decendents of the orginal vampires.. prehaps if we find the true leader we can cure the vampirism... that they curse this world with....
Malkite grinned slightly as he accepted the jar Watihala was holding.
"So," Malkite started to say, "let me think... what was going on in the world? I only heard a few weeks ago by Him... but..." After this he just muttered to himself while twiddling his thumbs.
At the same time, Watihala had Oritasu balanced on the tip of her finger, rotating slowly upon its orb.
The music of clarity... Watihala said in her mind, the silence of remembrance...
A spell whose incantation was all mental came rarely to Watihala, yet still it had a similar effect as planned. In the moments afterward, the slowly spinning Oritasu seemed to be singing, or at least emitting some sort of musical effect. No sound was present--just an inspirational feeling that is such that one gets from ordinary music.
...the light that sparks the imagination and...
The dim torches on the walls leapt to life, their flames turning pale yellow in colour. These flames skitted across the floor until they met in a ring around where Malkite sat, upon which they flared up and vanished. All that followed was a few more "notes" of Oritasu's song, and Watihala thereafter tossed the sword upward and caught it.
"Interesting..."Malkite said thoughtfully as he stared at the opposite wall. There was a pause, during which Watihala just kept quiet.
"Well," Malkite declared, looking back at Watihala. "Now I remember. But... unfortunately, I am not able to provide much, little sorceress of my kin. This does not mean that I am completely oblivious to where we sand, though. All I know is that recently, power has dramatically shifted to the inferior races. This jeopardizes many of us, so we have had to up our security by a large factor. However, life is pretty good for us in general."
"So that means..." Watihala finally said.
"The individual is in no real danger," Malkite continued, "but if we are not careful, power will continue to be stripped from us. It is really those in power that have to worry, for I fear some of them will be targeted by our enemies."
"I can only hope for the best for you," Watihala hoped, realizing that Malkite was one of "those in power".
"It is during times like this that I am grateful not to be in an even higher position," Malkite commented.
"Thank you for your input, anyways," Watihala said to Malkite. "Perhaps with this information I can help seek out these enemies."
So Watihala made her way back to the front door and exited Malkite's lair. As she did so, the blind raven Persephone flew over and landed on her shoulder.
We have succeeded, my friend, Watihala said to Persephone.
So Watihala continued on, spotting vampires about the trees around her. This was definitely a sign that Ronyo and Trellion were close by.
OOC: Gee, that sounded too easy... But oh well.
As Wathala stood their she must have see the thin vine coil very loosely around the vampires feet and thicken by the time they reliezed they were Caught they wouldn't be a aprt of this world any longer. As it thickened thorns came out and suddenly the vine whiped violently into a vampire turning them into a patch of dust as others tried they turned as well into dust making large coulds of dust appear out of the trees and trellion in the nearby clearing leaned heavily on his staff breathing heavily from the hard use of the magic and Ronyo tried to steady him and make sure he didn't topple over. Moving into the clearing quickly she appeared quicker then a shadow and stood over them.
Watihala: are you nuts why did you just do that i don't want him thinking i killed them all!
Trellion: oh and what would you have thought if you know he gave them orders to kill you?
Ronyo: Reyas overheard Malkite give them the order kill you.
Watihala: Oh...
Trellion: Can we leave now i don't want a ton of Vampires on our heels
Watihala: Alright lets get out of here
OOC: A few things to note:
-Malkite knows that Watihala is on his side, so he wouldn't have wanted to kill her.
-Something else was supposed to happen here before we leave...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Watihala trailed along behind the other two as they were on their way, deep in thought.
Why would Malkite want to kill me, after this? Either Reyas heard wrong, which I sort of doubt, or Malkite is up to something...
You appear lost, Wati. I sense you are troubled, Persephone said to Watihala.
Did you notice something? Watihala asked.
While I was flying around, I saw a few of Malkite's guards talking about you. They appeared surprised that "one of Malkite's kind would be helping his enemies". In other words, they probably saw you with Ronyo and Trellion--and maybe notified Malkite after you left him.

That can't be good, Watihala thought. If Malkite knows about this, chances are he'll notify the other lords in due time. I know what I want to do to stop this, but Malkite is a lord, so he won't go down easily. Also, if I go back, what will I tell the others? Maybe in order to win, I have to betray one side... Try to please both and it's game over for me...

Then Watihala had an idea... so therefore she readied Oritasu and headed the opposite direction, back towards Malkite's lair.
I've made up my mind, Watihala said to Persephone. I have to prevent Malkite and his guards from telling the others. Again, I will notify you if there is trouble, so you can tell Ronyo and Trellion that I am all right for now, if they ask.

For a while, Persephone thought Watihala was crazy, and she even worried for a second that she would be killed should she attempt at what she was about to do. But for now, she just sat on Ronyo's shoulder and did what Watihala told her to do.

Meanwhile...

Watihala was back near Malkite's lair, fighting some of the guards. Luckily, there weren't many left, as Ronyo and Trellion had killed off the majority of them--yet still Watihala was outnumbered six to one. And, she seemed to be losing the battle, for as she was speaking the incantation for one spell, the guards attacked her at once, one of which hit her with some sort of thorned whip. Because of that, she was in quite a bit of pain as she finally finished the spell.
...and let my pain be theirs! Watihala added as a final thought. Before anyone else could attack, a ring of black flames spread out from Oritasu, hitting all the guards. These flames never went out until the guards were good as dead.

After that, Watihala sat down for a while, feeling a little shaken from the fight she just fought and the spell she just cast. She hoped she had the energy to continue on, for there was only one battle left, and Watihala thought it to be much harder than the last.
Now only Malkite remains. I take it he is still inside, but shall he come out... But maybe I should take this opportunity for a brief rest, come to think of it...
So Watihala sat back and leaned against a tree, closing her eyes and trying not to fall asleep. However, she still remained aware of her surroundings, and especially of Malkite.

OOC: If the above is way off from what was planned, please let me know... I couldn't think of much else to do at this point...
