The last movie I watched was The Princess Bride.

I will say that it is by far, one of the wittiest, funniest movies I have ever seen. The action, quick witty dialogue.... The total satirising of those "gotta rescue the princess" movies, the whole shebang was a complete riot. I can't beleive it's taken me so long to see this movie.

Yeah, and the fact that Andre "The Giant" stars in it is an added bonus.

The last movie I saw was The Departed, which was two weeks ago at the cinema. It was a well made movie, and I really applaud how convincing some of the characters were, especially Matt Damon. I think his character did a great job of making the audience think to themselves "man, what an asshole", even though Jack Nicholson was the main antagonist throughout the movie. The climax was a bit insane, and I know that nobody saw it coming, but that's the effect of having an encyclopedic knowledge on film, as Martin Scorsese does.

I've heard that the movie is a direct take from the Hong Kong flick "Infernal Affairs", but I've not seen it. Nevertheless, I think the only beef I have with The Departed is the way that all of the chracacters pronounce the word "cop"... it sounds more like
"co-op"
.
The last movie I saw was Jackass 2. It was hilarious, though I missed parts of it (mostly tiny bits of the huge ending prank, and the credits).
The ending was great, I laughed so much when they used their pubes for beard hair. haha
[/SIZE']
Alan, that's basically the oldest joke I have ever heard.

The last movie I saw was Beauty and the Beast, as part of a Disney mini-marathon (okay, so it was two movies) as a floor activity in my dorm. Wonderful movie. Also, it is the subject of one of my favorite quotes.
A young woman, upon the Beast gives Belle the library moment: "If some guy did that for me, I'd thrown down and **** him right there."
I'm not too sure about the Human Again sequence that was added. Little iffy about that, yes.

Also The Iron Giant is a great movie.

I agree. At least it's an optional thing to watch it at all, but I'm glad it was removed. It just feels superfluous... It doesn't really make me connect with the side characters more, largely because it stuffs in a bunch you have no real experience with... and at some point you have to wonder how many servants this guy has if there's three hundred mops flying around.

All I can really say is that I buy most any Disney movie the day it comes out (particularly the more traditional ones like this) and I sure as heck didn't buy it for that song lol. I'm glad I wasn't looking forward to that addition more.

And yeah, Iron Giant is amazing.

I think the last actual movie I watched was Monster House. I have no idea how in the world it got away with a PG rating, but what can you do? I really enjoyed it, personally. It's one of the better animated films I've seen in a while. Quite underrated.

I went to see Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan last niht, and I can honestly say that it is one of the funniest most side-splitting films/documentaries of this year.

From the beginning to the end I was in stitches -- so was the rest of the cinema audience. It was that damn funny. I especially loved the beginning sequence where Borat is introducing his village and its residents, where he says stuff like
"This is the town rapist", and "This is my sister Natalia; she is the fourth best prostitute in Kazakhstan"
.

But hands down, the funniest part was when he was
wrestling with his colleague Azamat naked because he caught him masturbating over Pamela Anderson, and then they start running around the hotel the were staying at chasing each other
. I was in tears all the way through.

Seriously funny stuff. :D

That was definitely the best part of the movie, disturbing as it was.
The part where they were running around the convention hall was amazing.
Borat was amazing. From
He and Azamat staying at a Jewish Bed and Breakfast
to
"In my country, they would go crazy for these two. Not so much her."
, it was amazing. Best film of the year.

Well the last movie I saw in a movie theater was The Devil Wears Prada It wasn't bad. Not funny but not bad. And it was a great predecessor for Ugly Betty. My favorite line has got to be when Emily yells at Anne Hathaway's character for the clothes she's wearing. She says: You shouldn't be allowed to wear those clothes! You eat carbs for Christ Sake!

I think the last movie I watched at home was Raising Helen. I can't remember the whole thing because I kept getting interrupted. But there was that scene where that one woman was chasing everyone out with a bat! Oh man I fell off my bed laughing at that.

I really need to get out more. I wonder if I can pursuade one of my friends to catch an afternoon movie with me next weekend.
I just saw The Prestige, and it was an excellent movie.

It was extremely well written, and i cant wait to read the book. But since Christopher Nolan did it i shouldn't be too surprised it was awesome.
Oh, god, The Prestige. I'm one of the few people who can't stand that movie. I was so excited about the amazing reviews I heard from friends, but when I saw it, I sat in the theatre angrily and began to hate Hugh Jackman. I can see why other people would like it, but if just didn't fly with me. I predicted both of the "twists" and I thought the characters/character relationships were dull and just poorly planned.

But I just got back from watching Flags of Our Fathers. We watched it for extra credit, and I guess I still have mixed feelings about it. Hard to tell, because I became nauseous 1/3 of the way in because I hadn't eaten in five hours. >_>

There wsn't much a plot, so it was a character/theme-driven movie, which can be a wonderful thing if done well. I'm just not so sure on whether it was done that well. The whole theme about
the meaning of "hero"
took the forfront, and it was a thoughtful and fresh movie, but the character development was just decent.

And akward third storyline and choppy scene changes also plagued the movie, but I guess that takes somewhat of a backseat. The battle scenes were executed well... very similar to Saving Private Ryan in the rawness and such.
I just saw casino royal. it rocked! I think Daniel Craig makes a great 007. I hope he stays on for a couple of more movies.
He was fantastic, wasn't he? I should add that I also loved the woman who played Vesper. She's one of the most beautiful actresses I've ever seen.

I can't speak as a Bond fan, since I've never seen a Bond movie in full until now. But as an action movie, Casino Royale was beyond solid. It was delightful and entertaining rather than totally mind-numbing. It had style and didn't drown the viewer in explosions. Despite its length, I enjoyed it up to the last scene--and when it comes to movies, as I've no doubt mentioned before, I have the attention span of a hyperactive poodle. If the older Bond movies are that different from this, I'm not sure that I really want to go back and watch them.

I also liked how Casino Royale had something resembling character development. I guess they were only able to get away with that because it takes place right after Bond gets promoted, though.

If the older Bond movies are that different from this, I'm not sure that I really want to go back and watch them.
Sean Connery's Bond movies are slower moving than Pierce Brosnan's but I find they have a more interesting, albeit dated, story. Now, I compare this to a movie you haven't fully seen yet, only to point out what I believe to be two extremes. While Connery's Bond is a spy flick with gadgets, Brosnan's Bond is an action movie with invisible cars and high speed chases.

If you're going to watch an older Bond movie, go with the classic ones because I felt Daniel Craig's Bond story to follow a similar pace, (with less crazy action) like From Russia With Love and You Only Live Twice. Of course, I might not know what I'm talking about and you might disagree with me. xD

Anyway, Casino Royale was the most recent movie I've seen. I enjoyed it thoroughly and thought Craig made an amazing Bond. He was more down-to-Earth than I've ever seen Bond, was grittier than any of the others, and seemed to inject the most machismo in the character since Connery. I've decided that Craig's gift is being able to play Bond as this tough assassin one moment and switch to the classy tuxedo wearing Martini drinking Bond the next.

If you're a Bond fan, go watch this film, it does the character justice.
If you're not a Bond fan, go watch this film, it might change your mind about Bond.

I saw Happy Feet and man did I love it!

Alot of people didn't like how it got all serious and environmental but they probably have no idea who George Miller is.

Come on people, you have to know something is up when the director of Mad Max directs a movie with dancing penguins.

I really enjoyed it.

I really can't wait to see The Fountain since there is no CGI in it. Everything in there are real elements. Even the bubbles!

Everything was colored, layerd and painted.

Yes! That was the last movie I saw too. It was much, much better than I expected it to be. I thought "Dancing penguins? Eww, kid's movie". But alas! this movie rocked major socks. Happy Feet gets 4 stars.
In theaters the last movie I saw was "The Prestige" it was alright.[/FONT']
I also saw "The Prestige" in theaters too. I thought it was a great and sorta scary since I'm a girly girl. Well just last night I saw the "Polar Express." It was sorta good but then I didn't like some of it but I really like the end of the moive at how the boy (forgot his name) shook the bell and he and his sister could hear it but not his parents. It was like you had to believe in Christmas to hear the bell, but unfortunatly the parents didn't and thought that the bell was broken.
It also said that soon his sister couldn't hear the bell one Christmas but the boy grew old and could still hear it.

That was the highlight of my life. It sorta goes along how the Christmas season is right now and how you have to beleive in Christmas to have the spirit and joy of it. I'm not talking about that you have to believe that Santa is real unless you do but I really loved this movie and I recamend this to you all to watch and see for yourself. :animesmil

Hmmm... Last movie. Well I've seen several in the past few days, (Pirates of the Carribean 2, It's a Wonderful Life, World Trade Center, Donnie Darko all back to back) Here's just a quick overview since I don't have time to write that many reviews.

Pirates of the Carrabean 2: I didn't like it. It was so inconclusive. It was draggy at parts and there wasn't really a solid story-line set up before a sub-plot came along. Oh no, it's like Lost on the movie screen

It's a Wonderful Life: This is sort of a family tradition to watch it every year on Christmas and I really like it. It's just one of those cute black and white movies and the actors are great. Plus, The phone scene in Mary's house is truly one of the sexiest scenes I've ever seen in my life!!! I don't care that there aren't really any words, but the new movies that try a sex appeal thing need to take notes from that one scene!

World Trade Center: I don't want to bash it just because it's about 9/11, but I didn't like it. They didn't really broaden on the Characters. And the majority of it was spent on the trapped police officers. They introduced several characters just to kill them off two seconds later. I get that it was a true story, but there's just so much more that could have been done to make it better. I'll leave it at that before I'm slaughtered by everyone.

Donnie Darko: I liked it. :) I have a unique taste in movies and I absolutely love my cult classics! I've watched it like 20 times. (the first 10 were just to understand it) I just got the Director's Cut and it was GREAT! It explains the story line so much better. The whole Frank the Rabbit thing seems so farfetched when you watch the regular version, but then it all becomes clear in the Director's Cut. Time Travel mixed with the exploration for God's existence (Yes, the majority of time travel in this movie lies with the question of religion) is great when you mix it with a boy who is mentally unstable... Plus the soundtrack kicks ***!
