XWykesX
Hey guys im new here, and would love you to comment on my artwork, i basically draw anime, manga, or just plain wierd cartoons whenever i get a rush of imagination, check em out and feel free to criticize or praise my work. later xx This picture was drawn in pen, and then coloured in pencil crayon, feel free to comment on the breasts I drew this beauty in pen, coloured her in watercolour and then highlighted in pastels to emphasise where the light was hitting her body, i think the overall effect came out well This creation took around 5 hours, i drew in pen and coloured in watercolour, one of my personal faves Basically this was my first ever attempt at anime, it was drawn about 2 years ago and took me around 5-6 hours I'll post more up laters on xx
DeadSeraphim
Man (girl?) you need a scanner. Asap. These'd look so much better if they were scanned properly. Anyway, it's easy to see where you've improved from that first drawing, especially with proportions (seriously, the first one is like a bobble head doll). I think I like the top one best, not the least because of the cleavage. It's a lot cleaner and less cluttered than the others, and the colouring seems a bit better too. By contrast, I think the second one's colouring is a bit distracting and the third has a bit too much going on for something with such sparse and subdued colouring. But yeah. Good work!
XWykesX
Im a guy, and yes they really would, the only problem is, they are drawn on A3 paper and my scanner is A4, major bummer, so i resort to my digi cam, anyways here are some more of my latest pics. xx drawn in pastels, took me ages, as pastels are hard to work with and around Ive been experimenting with pastels more and more close up! Riku
These are very nicely done... love the coloring. I must admit, you draw the eyes very well... unlike me who always messes them up. >.>; Anyways, I would have to comment on the anatomy of the bodies you draw. The first picture I saw of your maid girl was quite good, but it seemed as if her head was a little too big for her body, unless you wanted to do it chibi- style or something. As for the lining of the pictures, well... I can't really explain but it looks rough. Maybe smooth it out or something? I can't wait to see more... and you really should get a scanner. You're pictures would look better with scanner quality. Send more so I can actually be smart for once. n.n
XWykesX
Thankyou for the compliments! The maid girl you commented on was my first ever attempt at anime, so the proportions are a bit off, i really think drawing the proportions correctly is the hardest part when designing anime. Here is one of my later pictures, again i think i did a good job on the eyes and hair, i wasn't too struck on the proportions though: xx
emily-chan
Heheh. Take it from a girl, no one has a chest that sticks out like that. Promise. You seem to have the water coloring down very well. what kind of pastels are you using? they look like hard oil pastels. if thats the case, try layering the colors a bit more, they look scratchy. All in all good work. proportions could continue to improve, but I'm impressed by the hair especially. I'm impressed with the first picture mainly because you seem to have mastered line thickening. this is a great technique to learn, as it gives the picture more depth and makes it look less like a coloring book page. very good job. jigglyness
You've got potential. For the first image, the first thing that attracted me to it was her eyes. I think of all your pieces the first one, no doubt, has the best eyes. As others have mentioned, proportions need work but your most recent shows vast improvement in that area. The only thing that is really bugging me is the way you color with the pastels. I can tell that they are soft pastels [I've worked with both] and I really think that the coloring could be a lot smoother with a lot more blending (Mainly the shading on the faces). Maybe you wanted to emphasize the highlights but it would definitely look alot better if you used at least three different shades/tints of that color...unless you have a limited resource of course. But I see great potential. Keep this up. :)
XWykesX
Thankyou, yes im limited on the pastels, im in the process of buying a ship load of new resources, watercolour pens, a larger selection of pastels ect....Have you used watercolour pens before? If so are they worth it? Here is a new picture of a bad *** werewolf i did the other day, i rarely use pencils, so i thought it was about time to do a sketch, what do you think? xx Edit: Here is a picture of Dante from the DMC series i devised, it was drawn in pen and coloured in pencil crayon x I used this as my ID on deviantart: Comments welcome. xx Please don't double post. If you have something to add to your original post, please use the edit button. Thanks. - Retribution --- So i learnt how to use photoshop and have been working hard on 2 pictures. The first: I drew the outline in pen, then uploaded into photoshop where it was painstakinly painted, took around 8 hours. I used the character Dante from the DevilMayCry saga as inspiration. The second: Here i took my wolf picture (which can be viewed above) and enhanced it using photoshop, this was my first ever photoshop piece. enjoy and comments welcome. xx
Retribution
I've said it once, I'll say it again. Please no double posting. If you'd like to add stuff to your thread but no one's posted yet, copy your original post, delete it, then paste it into a new post along with the new art. That way, the thread isn't cluttered up with double posts and such. Thanks!
