Manga Recommendation

I normally don't do this for manga's because I thought I would be okay with just reading Bleach. (Yeah, silly me.) I'm currently looking for manga's to checkout. With that being said, as usual, I'm into the action type, but I'm leaning forward to trying a few new genres. Romance, like anime, is still no exception. It's not my type. Sports isn't for me either. Horror, I'm a little iffy on because they don't get to me. (I have no imagination... lol.)

I haven't read many mangas.

Bleach - Currently read up to 246, but I'm going to take a break from it.

Tenjho Tenge - Last chapter I read was chapter 90, but I think I'm going to start reading it again.

Naruto - I haven't read Naruto in a long time. I think the last chapter I read was when
Naruto inc. met up with Sasuke. (time leap)
Something in that chapter just made me stop reading it.

Death Note - I think I only read like the 1st 2 chapters, and that was like last year or something like that. I have to wonder is that really something for me?

Rurouni Kenshin - Everytime I get around to reading this, I get tired of reading it as well.

That's all, and thanks in advance.

if you like action types then try Fullmetal alchemist, i have heard that the manga is good, but i haven't actually read it myself

Also D gray man is a good manga, apparently they just made an anime out of it, but the manga is a lot better. It's almost like Fullmetal Alchemist in it's own way, but it has different types of twists in it. Even when i readthe manga i could point out people that reminded me of character from FMA, Allen is ed, timcampy is Al *giggles* and the so on.

But it's defaintly a good read. Them two are both good, or if you wanted to go along with the trend you could read Naruto

Here's few of my recomendations

Grendier- about this beautiful blonde gunwomen who helps a penniless samurai in a mission to bring peace to her war torn world but can never solve a problem peacefully. just with bullets... And i'm just fine with that. :animesigh

DearS- your basic boy has miserable life until he meets and ailen story, until one day an alien named Rei shows up and now all the aliens DearS seem to flock to takeya weather he wants them their or not. :D

Neon Genesis Evangelion angelic days- remember the last episode if neon genesis well this manga takes place where the anime series leaves off. ;)

And last but not least

Maburaho based from the anime series of boy who can only use magic 8 times in his life then dies. if Adv ever comes out with volume 2 give it a read Volume 1 is still pretty cool, but any one who reads that has to ask this Question IT'S BEEN A YEAR WHERE THE @#$% IS VOLUME 2?

Hope you all like my choices

I just knew someone was going to mention Fullmetal Alchemist lol. Just thought I'd talk about these suggestions thus far.

This is probably my fault since I never did say this. But if you're going to suggest comedy, please be sure that it has action in it. Because I've stated that I don't like comedy in my animes, but if there is going to be comedy, there's gotta be action. (Much like Bleach)

With that being said.

Duoikairi - I just read a review about D Gray-man, and from what I've read it sounds pretty interesting. I may end up checking it out. (That is if a certain site has it.)

AnimeheroX - Going to start off with Evangelion. Yes I've seen the ending of it, and to be honest with you, I didn't like it. (Not just the last episode, but the series itself.) If you want reasons on why I didn't like it, check out the anime thread.

But in the meantime. Grendier. It sounds interesting, and I will check it out, but for me, lets not get too happy over the fan service. I have enough of that in Tenjho Tenge :animeswea (Just thought I'd give you a heads up on that because it seems as if all your choices seems to go in the fan service route. This was my fault for not mentioning it though, so everything is cool  )

DearS and Maburaho. Err.. How can I put this? I'm not specifically clear on whether Maburaho is romance or not, but it sure does seem like it. (after reading a review at anime on dvd) Maybe I wasn't clear, but romance are no no's, for me atleast. I'm willing to try new genres, but romance isn't one of those new genres I'm willing to try. (no offense btw.. none of this is meant to come off sounding rude.) Or am I wrong and they just have romance in it? If that's the case, maybe. (a strong maybe :animesmil )

Berserk- is a must read. It is regarded as the greatest manga of all time. It starts out as a simple story of revenge but once you get further into it it gets incredibly deep. Great action scenes and Guts(main character) is the defintion of awesome.

Battle Royale- is another great one. Which does character devlopment so well. If you can stomach the intense amounts of gore. Its a must have.

Black Cat- ok I know not many people are fond of it but its a fun read. Nothing deep or complex just straightfoward action and comedy simialr to that of Get backers.

Well since your only looking for action ones. It makes it hard for me to help you out. I guess Trigun Maximum is a good one and I read some of Beserk that one is crazy you might like that one.
Full Metal Panic is a good one but I think that has a bit more comedy than action but it?s a good mix I think.
I'm more of a comedy/romance manga reader so if you need help on those. Then I can help you out. But those are the only two action mangas that I?ve read

With that being said, as usual, I'm into the action type, but I'm leaning forward to trying a few new genres. Romance, like anime, is still no exception. It's not my type. [/size']
Well if you are looking to try something a little different and if you enjoy mysteries and detective work, then you would enjoy the Case Closed manga. Their isn?t a lot of action, but it does have a little comedy and a hint of romance. But it primarily focuses on Conan solving cases. Here?s a summary:
Plot Summary: High school detective Kudo Shinichi, (they change his name to Jimmy Kudo for the English version) is infamously known to the people of Japan as "The Modern Sherlock Holmes." Yet things will changed as he is assaulted by two mysterious men in black when investigating some unusual behavior. He is then drugged by the two mysterious men in black and instead of dying as they intended, it instead shrunk him to the size of a kid. In order to track them down he changes his name and ends up living with his childhood sweetheart Mouri Ran (Rachel in the English version) under the name of Edogawa Conan. He then searches for clues about the men in black through clients and cases of Ran's father--a pathetic second-class detective who quickly became well-known through secretive help from Conan.
You don?t really have to worry about the romance aspect as it?s not the main focus of the manga. Solving mysteries and hunting for clues surrounding the mysterious men in black is the main focus. Anyway, that?s what I would recommend if you really want to try something completely different.

Some of the cases do have action in them, but it's more along the lines of chasing down criminals and bringing them to justice. So it's a different type of action. ^_~

Well if your looking for more or less action like anime I would recomend 666 Satan. It really doesnt tend to go to far into any fanservice and its made by Seishi Kishimoto who (Ironicly) happens to be the younger twin brother of Masashi Kishimoto who is the creator of Naruto. Although this doesnt mean that their plots are anywhere the same. Its just easy to see parallels in their drawing style. A good summary can be thus.
In this world, there are ancient and mysterious artifacts called O-Parts, and there are people who can use them, O.P.T.s! Only a chosen few can use the O-parts, and they can be used for good or evil. Enter Jio, a kid with a dream of World Domination. Jio doesn't know why people hate him or why violence happens around him, but he knows he wants to have enough power to be free of torment. He decides to get stronger and sets off on a journey to find that strength. But there is a legend among the people that an evil demon is out there, one who can use an OPT's power against him. He kills without hesitation, and his name is Satan, and on his head is the mark of the beast, 666.

The question is, will Jio ever find out the truth? Will justice prevail or will the beast?
Although I though it would be good to note this but this manga, although dispite its name is nowhere near related to Christanity, it is more or less based on the Kabbalah I would want to say more about it but it would be more or less giving away at some of hte angels and demons in the series.

aaand..
lets not get too happy over the fan service. I have enough of that in Tenjho Tenge :animeswea [/size']
Hurra for the fan service in Tenjou Tenge, I still haven't seen fanservice like this in ANY other manga.
