I completely believe in fate...I think that fate hands you every situation but it is up to you how you handle it. Fate determines exactly what situations you are going to encounter in life and all the people that you are going to meet but it is up to you to make the best out of everything.

A person I knew, a long time ago, did. He turned out to be quite the jerk. "It doesn't matter what i choose, whatever I do, it was fated to happen." Never took responsiblity to his actions. Quite turned me off to the whole fate idea.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think that I'm responsible for my self, and my actions.[/FONT]

well, except for Chris (sorry to bring it up ><) his name doesn't start w/ a J. But Jody, Joel, ...... was there a Jake?? LOL what about P-Lew, eh? ;) :rotflmao: j/k, I'd probably hook up w/ him before you would ..... heheh :devil: neh, I think I'll stick with the guy I have now. :love2:

I kinda believe more in destiny than fate.... like a goal instead of something predetermined, like you can control your future more...

I am on the thought process that everything happens for a reason. (Echoing what many others already said), I think it was already known by a Higher Power long ago that I was going to wake up this morning, make as many tips as I did today, type this post, etc.
Yes we have free choice and yes that can slightly alter what happens, but I think that everything ends up the same way anyway.
Think of it like this: You know it's a Thursday. You knew what you were going to do before Thursday got here.
Now on the one hand, it may go as planned. On the other, it may not. Regardless, you know how the day will end--with you going to sleep, waiting for Friday.
Then there are those rare cases where an event happens that makes you wake up and realize there's a lot more to life than you thought (the whole taking certain things for granted).
What it all comes down to is that everything happens for a reason. Everything that has happened to me has made me a different person. It's how we learn about life.

the only fate i believe in is the ultimate fate...death.
for everything else i believe that you get to chose what happens, shaping history and the world as you go along. I like to fancy however, that in diffirent dimensions different lives are played as a result of all the other choices we could have made.
