Doublehex
OOC: Seeing as I am tired of waiting to have enough free time in her life to post, I decided to do it myself. - Even with Scimnio?s light, Viridian Forest was as dark as ever. Ayave and Fusha rested on their trainer?s shoulders respectively, but Scimnio was the one that led the pack. It was a known fact that fire by nature kept all but the most suicidal of bug pokemon away, so it was the best call on Matt?s part. The group climbed over a felled tree that covered the road. ?How much longer until we are out of this place?? It was obvious by Turbine?s voice that she was irritated. Matt just shrugged in response. They moved, not exactly aware that a horde of enemies were waiting among the trees. They have been very hungry as of late. It had been a long time since humans have wandered through the forest. They began to wonder if the ?disappearance? of humans had scared them away, but look! Two humans were walking side by side, totally naïve to the death that waited them from the trees. Such tender flesh, they thought in unison. Such wonders! Don?t wait, they decided. They would strike. Now, they would eat. Turbine and Matt turned in horror to the sounds of a dozens buzzes as what must of have been ten or twenty, perhaps even thirty, beedrills emerged from the trees. Their stingers dripped poison. In their eyes was the look of death. This was not normal. Matt swallowed hard. ?Scimnio?? The hikozaru was already forming fire in his hands, which he launched at the swarm. The beedrills were moving at such high velocity that it was nearly impossible for some of them to not be burnt to a crisp. But defying all laws of physics, they avoided it. Their minds, one, united. They all moved with the same motion, the same desire. ?This is definitely not normal.? ?Run. Now!? Matt didn?t need to listen to her twice. He sprinted down the dirt path. Turbine was close behind. There was no time to slow down in this race. It was a race against death; Matt didn?t even have time to pick up Scimnio. Fusha had to grab the hikozaru in is talons. They ran faster than they believed they ever could. Matt?s feet were burning?Turbine wanted to fall down. But there was no time for the weak to be weak now. If you wanted to live, if you wanted to take another gasp of breathe, if you did not want to be consumed by the swarm, you had to run. There was no other option. Survive, or be consumed. They sprinted around a corner, leaping over a fallen tree that covered another part of the road. Nearby, although not near enough to see the swarm, Miku and Sakura heard the buzzing of the swarm. ?What on earth could that be Sakura?? The cherinbo waddled off in the direction of the swarm. ?Hey Sakura, wait for me!? OOC: Okay, I left room for either Kitty or Satori to take take care of the situation. First a car chase, now a swarm of human devouring beedrills that are like a single mind (buggers from Ender's Game anyone?)! What could happen to our valiant heroes now? Gavin
Nate's pace had quickened since they'd entered Viridian Forest, he had fond memories of this place, when he, AJ and their father had come out for picnics. Cade Armstrong had been a renowned Pokémon master back in his day, before he'd had two young boys to take care of. Nate remembered always feeling secure when he father was around, as dangerous as Viridian Forest was, he'd known nothing could ever hurt him or his brother as long as their father had been around. AJ was rolling the pokéball that contained his Caterpie around his palm, Nate didn't really see the point of trying to catch anything around here, the best he might manage was a Pikachu, and he didn't really consider that to be worth his while in searching out one. The breeze had shifted northwards, blowing right in the direction of where they were headed, they weren't that far from the forest's edge, after that they'd hit the city. "I was just thinking about when dad used to bring us out here as kids, you remember that AJ ?" AJ laughed, but at the same time it was almost a sigh of nostalgia. "Yeah, I remember. Good times... good times." The sentiment hung in the air between the two, ever since their mother's death a few years beforehand, their father had lost his sense of direction in life. His strength had seemed to just ebb away, and for both of them it had been heartbreaking. One day Nate had arrived home from high school to find a note on the table, after "Dear Nate and AJ" the tears had just streamed down his face, he was seventeen years old when it happened, all he'd wanted at that point was for someone to tell him it would be OK. "I was just thinking, if we really do this right, maybe we might hear something of him on our travels." Nate just waited for AJ to respond, he'd never asked his brother about how he felt directly, maybe now was as good a time to do so.
AngryBarista
Miku was still wondering why her pokeball had been stuck to the tree back on the outskirts of Viridian City when they heard the buzzing. Sakura, being the inquisitive young pokemon she was, raced ahead to investigate - her waddling almost comical. "I wonder what that could be Sakura?" Miku asked, then when she realised her partner had left her behind called "Hey Sakura, wait for me!" Miku quickly caught up to her cherry pal, scooped her up and the two made their way for the alarmingly loud buzzing. What they found shocked them beyond all comprehension. "Wha--what...why? Beedrill?" stammered the hippie chick, then she saw what the bugs were after. Matt and the strange girl in out-of-season clothing were on the run from the swarm, and she just managed to catch a glimpse of them diving behind a giant log in the middle of the road. "What have you done?!" cried Miku in desperation. "This sort of behaviour is not normal for Beedrills! Why are they after you?!" But the swarming insects droning drowned out Miku's cries of anger and disbelief. There's no time to worry about it now...have to do something...Matt's in trouble...no time...no time Miku's thoughts rang throughout her mind loud and clear over the deadly giant wasps who, upon hearing Miku's shouting, had turned away from their previous target. "...Nature give me strength" she said as the blood was drained from her face, leaving her more pallid and white than snow itself. "They seem to be distracted. We should go now" Turbine said, looking out over the log. "By what? Matt was a little confused, but eager to get away nonetheless. "Some girl...I think it's that environmentalist hippie from Oak's...quick let's go while we can" Turbine half stood to leave. "Miku?!" he had to see this, if only to help out should his Pallet Town aquaintence need it. "Cherii~! Cher-che-cheririi~!" Sakura began howling at Miku and began jumping at her beltclips. "What? You want in your pokeball now?!" Sakura stood on the spot defiantly and shot a leaf at the still-sticky pokeball from before. It dropped to the ground, hitting its button and letting out a stream of red light. Wha...but...I don't get it?! Miku thought it odd that red light was escaping the pokeball. Wasn't that only supposed to happen when it had a pokemon inside it? Then the Mitsuhoney came out. "Honey?! What?!" now the greenie was even more confused. "No time for questions now. Sakura, we have to immobilize these Beedrill! Can you seed them?" Sakura turned back and looked at Miku skeptically. "You're right, not likely...okay. Bees...honey...drones...a queen? But how can one Beedrill control all the others?" the girl stood, scratching her chin. The Beedrill moved ever closer in unison, then they began to launch a group Pin Missile attack. Time was running out. With seconds before impact, the strange Mitsuhoney blew up a powerful gust and knocked back a vast majority of the needles. One struck Miku herself, but her pokemon were unscathed. A weak venom was quickly injected into her arm by the sting, dropping her to her knees. "Cheriiiin-BO~!" Sakura glowed again, flicking leaf after leaf into the air, all of which remained stationary. She then signalled up to her honeycomb poke-pal in the air for another gust of wind, which it obligingly aimed at the angry swarm. The direct hit knocked back the wasps in front, revealing the source of the group anger and unity. A Beequeen was hovering in the center of the swarm, eyes glowing. Attack Command - a bug attack known only to the queen bee herself. Miku glanced up from her arm and saw the giant bee, then knew what to do. She looked over to Matt, "Matt! Set Sakura's leaf attack on fire...NOW!" "What's she planning?" Matt wondered. From where they were, he and Turbine couldn't see the source of all the trouble. Nonetheless, he quickly told Scimino what to do, and the monkey headed off quickly do accomplish what would hopefully save them all. Once Scimino had fired up and thrown fire all over the hovering leaves, Sakura nodded to Miku and the Hikozaru. "Cheriri~!" The bolts of fire rained down on the Beedrill, some hitting the swarm, some hitting the Beequeen. Not one missed. The group instantly lost its unity and dispersed, leaving the lone Beequeen to fend for itself. Which was no problem for the tyrannical bug pokemon - as one of the strongest bugs in this part of Viridian forest, it knew how to defend itself. Matt ran over to Scimino, Turbine following reluctantly. "Okay...three on one...this should be easy" he said to the two girls. I sure hope so... thought Miku.
Wullf_Maximas
Ronyo, Azure, and their new companion Sigurd were still in Viridian City figuring out what they should do next. Ronyo knew that once they left Viridian City they would have to go through Viridian Forest. Although Ronyo did visit the forest often he never went to far in. Ronyo knew what lay in the forest and what they had to prepare for. ?Would you two mind if we stopped by my house first? I would like to grab a few things to help us get through the forest. That place is beautiful but also dangerous at times,? Ronyo stated as the three walked through the city. ?You live here? That?s has to be nice living next to Victory Road,? Sigurd said with a smile ?I guess, I really don?t stay in town much. I like sleeping outside under the stars with the trees acting as my blanket.? Ronyo said as he closed his eyes to picture what he had done only a hundred times. Both Azure and Sigurd stared at him for awhile until Ronyo realized he was being watched. He turned to look at the two and gave a embarrassed smile. ?Sorry, I just really enjoy sleeping outdoors.? ?I think it nice to hear you so poetic about it. So where is your house?? Azure asked with a beaming smile ?Just up the road here.? As the three approached Ronyo?s home Azure and Sigurd saw the piles of mail sticking out of his mail box, and stacked next to his door. Ronyo took no notice of it and walked straight inside. When Azure and Sigurd peaked in they saw that the place wasn?t in bad shape, just not lived in a lot. Everything looked like it probably did when Ronyo first moved in. They heard a rustling down one of the halls and Ronyo cursing a heavy box that had fallen on his toe. Azure, Sigurd, Cyndaquil, Eevee, and even Anubis stood in Ronyo?s living room listening to the amusing statements coming from down the hall as Ronyo looked for whatever it was he was looking for. Minutes past and Eevee and Cyndaquil past the time playing on the floor. While Azure and Sigurd had found chairs to sit in and chat. Anubis lay close to the front door watching Cyndaquil and Eevee play. Finally Ronyo came out with a old brown leather backpack and bag full of something. ?These are repels, I keep a few with me when I?m in the forest in case I get jumped by a swarm of angry Beedrill. They only last for a short time and I only have two left, but they will come in handy incase of an emergency.? ?Your pretty well prepared for Viridian Forest aren?t you? I guess you go there a lot?? Sigurd asked ?A lot would be an understatement. Most people in this town would say I live there, my mailman being one of them.? ?Yeah, you defiantly have a lot of mail. Do you ever open it?? Azure asked ?Sometimes when I?m home. I really don?t have need for anything I getl. I pay my rent every month on the same day, and sell berries I find to the local Pokemart to help earn money. Oh speaking of berries, I do have a few Pecha and Oran to help us along too.? ?Man, you act like you?ve been preparing for this.? Sigurd said ?Not really, I was actually very surprised when I got the letter.? ?Wow, you actually got your letter?? Azure smiled Ronyo recalled what he had just said about his mail and couldn?t help but laugh a little. ?Yeah, I did. I guess it was fate or something.? The three trainers left Ronyo?s house in a good mood, and headed for Viridian Forest.

Vicky
Sergei and Ashin walked through Viridian Forest, looking for the two trainers they had seen before. They seemed to have ran off pretty fast, if they noticed them or not. Ah well. The two companions spent most of their time spotting the different Pokemon in the forest. Charmander was inside his Pokeball but just having a Fire Pokemon made him feel mighty proud amongst the bugs. They wouldn't stand a chance. "How long until we reach Pewter?" Sergei asked, bored. "Maybe in a few hours. We're halfway there." Ashin, coming from Pewter herself, knew the route through the forest much better than Sergei. She was leading, of course. Sergei didn't mind following, in fact he rather enjoyed spotting all the different Pokemon around him. "Hey, Ashin! Look!" Sergei suddenly shouted. Ashin turned around, noticing Sergei was pointing in the bushes. She didn't know what he was pointing at, but then it became clear; a Pokemon. A Pikachu, to be exact. The Pikachu's ears perked up at the sound of Sergei's voice and both trainers noticed that one of its ears didn't have black fur on the end. Strange. "I'll catch it!" Sergei declared. However, when he released his Charmander, Pikachu gave a loud cry and ran off into the trees. Dumbfounded into thinking all Pokemon wouldn't run away, Sergei looked for Ashin for guidance, who merely shurgged. "Guess it was scared." Sergei frowned, recalled Charmander, and the two continued on their way. Sergei was getting really, really bored now. The bug Pokemon were everywhere and he didn't like them. He felt that most of them were pretty weak, especially against his fire Pokemon. He wasn't interested in catching them at all. Pikachu was probably the most interesting Pokemon he had seen, but it was a bit of a coward. "Are we there yet?" grumbled Sergei. "No, not yet." "Okay. How about now?" Ashin rolled her eyes and didn't reply. Sergei grumbled, kicking a stone into a tree. Suddenly, there was a rustling, and a small Pokemon ran out of the bushes. Another Pikachu. No, not another one, the same one! "It's that Pikachu again! You won't get away this time!" Sergei yelled. He ran off into the trees after the Pikachu, speeding up in hopes of catching the Pokemon or cornering it. "Sergei, wait!" ---- OOC: Yeah, rather rushed, I'm tired and dying. Don't worry, I won't catch the Pikachu right away, but I do intend to. Muwahaha.

Ellerby
Jonas readied himself for the fight, Swinub wiggling around a bit to stretch. The Diglett only stood still, just shouting "Diglett!" every few seconds. Finally, the first attack was launched. A beam of chilled snow shot quickly at the brown worm. But when it hit, the Diglett remained unphazed and unfrosted. "What the..?" Jonas muttered. The Diglett twirled in a circle as a taunt and Swinub growled in response. "Don't you know anything, handsome?" the girl laughed. "Diglett are the fastest diggers around! This cutie just burrowed underground, let the snow pass and came back up without you noticing!" "Diglett!" the worm cheered. Jonas grinded his teeth. "Swinub," he spoke quietly. "Chill Butt." Swinub nodded to show it understood what Jonas wanted. "Bring it!" yelled the girl. Swinub inflated himself once more and shot a beam of snow at the Diglett, but when Diglett popped its little head back up it was shocked to see a Swinub charging full throttle towards it with it's teeth bared. It all happened too fast for Diglett to react and it was hit with tackle. "Keep going!" shreiked Jonas, wanting Swinub to keep pummeling the Diglett until it fainted so it wouldn't get a chance to burrow. Swinub obeyed and quickly shot another Powdered Snow at the enemy, freezing it instantly. He then broke the ice with another tackle, finishing off the foe. "Diglett!" the redhead yelped, returning her Pokemon to its temporary home.
Tekkaman
"Larvitar! Give that Geaodude a taste of a sandstrorm!" Demetri yelled. Larvitar obeyed, kicking up a great load of dust by scratching his claws against the gym floor. Larvitar then started to scratch faster, and all around, creating a thick cloud that would normally injure any other type of Pokemon entering the shroud. Unfortuanately, Geodude - save Larvitar and Swinub because of his part-ground type - was unaffected. "Fool." The Gym trainer said aloud. "Rock and ground type Pokemon can endure this type of sandstorm, no problem." "...Who said anything about enduring? I made the sandstorm for another reason..." Demetri said with a grin. "What?" "Larvitar! Scream at the Geodude!" "Geodude! Defend against it!" Naturally, Geodude followed his trainers instructions; placing his hands in front of his face to increase it's defense. Unfortunately for the Gym trainer, he didn't notice that the sandstorm doubled as a smokescreen for Larvitar to move around in, allowing him to get behind Geodude, unbeknownst to the Pokemon or the Trainer. Larvitar screamed as loud as he could, shattering Geodude's defense completely. "Now Larvitar! Bite the Geodude in the back!" Larvitar bit down on the Geodude just like it did with the Swinub when the two trainers - Demetri and Jonas - first met. Geodude's eyes bulged but made no noise with his mouth as it fell to the ground in a crash of granite. As the smoke cleared, Larvitar was found celebrating on top of the Geodude, face down. "Geodude..." The dark-haired Gym trainer said, hurt. He recalled his Pokemon back to it's Pokeball. "Serves you right." Jonas said, turing towards his companion. "You both could've saved yourselves the pain of defeat by just leaving us alone in the first place." Demetri wanted to say that to the two trainers but Jonas took the line from him. So Demetri took the only available line to use after that. "Y- Yeah!" Jonas and Demetri looked at the Gym leader who was clapping his hands while looking at the two trainers. He was standing and, now, walking to the two who had defeated his lieutenants. Demetri and Jonas placed their Bookbags on the grounds, grabbing Pokemon potions for their partners - Swinub and Larvitar. Demetri then recalled Larvitar back into his Pokeball and brung out his Pidgey. the Gym Leader looked at the bird with care. "My name is Brock. Welcome." Demetri and Jonas said nothing. "...You seemed to have raised the Pidgey well, trainer." "Thank you." Demetri stated with a smile. "But it won't last in this room with my Pokemon." "What?!" Demetri said, now angry that Brock had called his Pidgey weak. "Whaddya mean 'won't last'?!" "Type disadvantage." Demetri knew that his Pidgey was weak against Rock type Pokemon but the fact that the Leader insulted his Pokemon's abilities got Demetri in a 'Russian Roulette' mood. "Fine then! I'll challenge you to a Gym Battle! My Pidgey against any of your Pokemon!" Brock laughed. He had laughed so hard, that he brought himself down to one knee. Demetri became all the more madder. "Make that a two-on-two battle!" Demetri turned around to see Jonas pointing at the Gym Leader. Brock stopped laughing, seeing Jonas' Swinub. "...Fine then. This battle is for a badge, I presume?" "Bad-ges." Demetri countered, holding up a peace sign for two. "And you presume correct." Jonas added. "Very well." Brock stated, snapping his fingers. The ground beneath them opened, allowing a pre-made Pokemon battle arena to appear from underground. Brock then steeped in the white box, meant for the trainers. Brock then cleared his throat. "The following is a two-on-two battle!" Brock stated aloud. GuyYouMetOnline
Aesera woke up early the next morning and opened her pack to get some food. She released Absol and gave it some food as well, and then the two of them headed for Pewter. While walking, Aesera explained to Absol some of the strategies she'd come up with. Occasionally, they would stop and Absol would act out a suggestion it had to improve one of Aesera's strategies, but other than that, there were no delays for a while. Aesera and Absol were about halfway between Veridian Forest and Pewter City when they saw the man. He was battling another Trainer, but the battle seemed to have ended. The man's opponent returned his defeated Meowth to its Pokeball as the man's Doduo stood beside him. Aesera didn't see enough, but she saw enough to know that the Meowth had been beaten before Doduo had stopped attacking it. A mean Pokemon, Aesera thought. That's never an indicator of a nicer trainer. And this guy looks experienced, which is too bad. If he was closer to my level, I'd teach him a thing or two. Aesera didn't intend to confront the man, but unfortunately she wasn't able to get her way. The man saw Aesera and Absol approaching, and when he caught sight of Absol, he reacted forcefully. It wasn't a surprised reaction, but one that indicated dislike or possibly hatred. He and his Doduo approached Aesera and Absol. "Hello," the man said to Aesera. "My name is Kaeo. May I ask yours?" "I'm Aesera." "I see you have an Absol," Kaeo remarked. Aesera shook her head. "Not quite. Absol is not mine. What she is is my partner." Kaeo turned his head to the side and spat. "Disgusting," he said to himself. "And here I was thinking about how nice she looked. I'm ashamed of myself." "You know, I can hear you," Aesera told the man. "Just what is your problem?" "I must apologize," Kaeo said. "My reaction was... excessive. I was too quick to judge you, and I did this not once, but twice. I cannot assume that you are aware." Aesera didn't like where this was going. "Aware of what?" she asked. "That the Pokemon species known as Absol is the spawn of demonic beasts," Kaeo replied matter-of-factly. Just what I needed, Aesera thought. A religious nutjob. "Absol are not the spawn of demons," she sad. "Perhaps you do not know, then. Absol-" Aesera cut the man off. "Trust me, I know. Everything that's known about Absol? My brother discovered all that." Kaeo's reaction made it clear that he knew who'd made the discoveries about Absol. "He's your brother? Then that just makes this so much better. You're not going to get past me." "We'll just see about that. Absol, you ready for this?" "You won't win. Doduo!" The two Pokemon faced each other. This could be nasty, Aesera thought. There's no telling how good this guy is, or how many Pokemon he has with him. Absol can probably take Doduo, since Kaeo used it in that last battle, but I don't think Absol's ready for much more than maybe one additional Pokemon. Which means that Absol and I'll just have to make an unexpected move. "Absol!," Aesera called. "Remember those strategies we discussed earlier? Let's go with 'beatdown'." Absol nodded in agreement, and then made the first move. She charged as though he was going to attack Doduo, but changed course at the last second. Doduo attempted to attack, but Absol was entirely on the defensive. She was making no move to attack, and so could concentrate solely on evasion. She continually dodged Doduo's attacks while Aesera watched and waited for the right moment. The first real test of one of my strategies, she thought. Will it work? Well, I guess I'm going to find out.
AngryBarista
"What is that thing anyway?" asked Matt, mainly to himself since he knew neither of the girls could give him a proper explanation. He pulled out his Pokedex. "BEEQUEEN the Beehive Pokemon - All pokemon of the Beequeen species are female, and have the innate ability to control the hive in which they live. Beequeen can often be seen surrounded by Beedrill and Mitsuhoney bodyguards." the 'dex rang out in the typical metallic tone. "I could've told you it was a Beequeen" grumbled Miku, crossing her arms. At this point three barbs landed just inches from the trainers' feet. The massive bee droned at them. "Who cares let's just get this over with and get out of here!" Turbine was getting slightly fed up with waiting around in the forest, and standing there with an angry bug shooting at them was not her idea of 'fun'. Then again Miku didn't know what the girl's idea of fun was, or her name for that matter. "Okay then, what can your Murkrow do?" asked the hippie. Turbine grinned. "Show her what you can do Fu..." The little black bird leapt off Turbine's shoulder and into the air, straight at the Beequeen, which dodged the attack. Murkrow kept flying nonetheless, turning back around in an arch - it then proceeded to spit out a thick haze. Beating its wings, it spread the mist out, covering the area. "Now we have some cloudcover. Beat that treehugger" smirked the dark individual. Hmph...never really liked you... Miku said inwardly, then aloud "Well can it attack? Come on Sakura, this girl already knows what you can do, let's one up it." Sakura waddled out into the thick fog, all three trainers losing sight of her. "Sakura you weren't supposed to go all the way out there...!" came her companion's worried cry. The Cherry Pokemon ignored it, prefering to handle this as a team with Fu rather than compete for trainer glory. "Che-cheriri~!" she called, and Scimino and Fu left their trainers to meet her in the middle of the mist. The three pokemon squawked, squeaked and grunted until they had agreed on a plan of attack, by which time the Beequeen had figured out the mist was fake and blew it away with a gust. "What do you think they're doing?" Miku asked the other trainers. Turbine ignored her, watching intently. "I think they want to handle it together or something, just let them do it" came Matt's reply. Miku shut her mouth and sat down grudgingly. Fu lifted off and began fying around Beequeen, providing a distraction while the others put their plan into action. Beequeen began launching its poisonned stingers one after the other after the bird, but Fu was too fast, flying just ahead of the stings. Getting frustrated, the queen bee began hovering after Turbine's Murkrow, pursuing it at top speed. Matt's Hikozaru began taunting the bug pokemon to get it off Fu's tail, and Sakura started to glow as it hobbled around behind. Scimino shot a fireball at Beequeen, combining his opponent's speed and weight with his blast, sending it flying backward to the center of the trio's triangular formation. "Cherii~!" "Kurooo~!" "Hikoou-zaa~!" Sakura launched it's draining seed at the grounded Beequeen, Fu shot out at it and Scimino began blasting it with fireballs. The leech seed shot out its vines, which lit up, not only draining the bee of its energy but burning it at the same time. Fu landed peck after peck on the Beequeen, ending with a mighty rake of her long talons across the bee's belly. "Wow...they sure do make a pretty good team..." said a stunned Miku. "Mmph" grunted Matt. "I suppose..." came Turbine's reply, "But let's go. Now." And at that the three trainers called to their partners and turned to leave the forest. "Oh! Mitsuhoney! Come on let's go!" Miku had completely forgotten about her new pokemon, considering she hadn't added it to her team herself. She still didn't know its gender either. An hour later... "So this is Pewter City..." said Miku in awe, as the three entered the border of Pewter. "I'm tired...can we please just get to a Pokemon Center and be done with all this?" Turbine half-whined half-snapped. Fine...b***h... the hippie chick thought.
Doublehex
Pewter City was a city for known for its hard, steady people. Before the Vetus Government was formed roughly half a dozen hundred years ago, the citizens of Pewter City created this place to be a utopia ? a city separated from the rest of the sinful world. The people here still hold that resilience and steadfastness in themselves. The trio entered the Pokemon center. The girls had managed to get their pokemon into their pokeballs, but Scimnio downright refused. ?Come on ya big ass monkey! I need you in here so they can?? ?You know Matt, they can heal him eve without a pokeball?? Matt turned to the nature girl. ?It?s more expensive without a pokeball.? ?So, its all about the money?? It was obvious that she was more than a bit disgusted. ?It is when I?m on a budget. We?re not made of money you know.? He turned his attention to Scimnio. ?Come on. Get in.? The hikozaru pouted. No way. ?Darn you!? He leaped for the pokemon, intending to force him into the pokeball, but he scurried off, landing on a table. ?Hey!? the patron roared. ?Get this damn thing off!? He swung at Scimnio, but the elusive monkey leaped off the table and landed on Matt?s shoulder. ?You?re going to lose more than a few bucks here and there if you don?t get him that healing.? Matt clenched his fists. ?Fine! I?m starting to wonder if you are worth all this trouble?? * * * * * Matt awoke in his hotel room that early next morning. He did not feel like sleeping out in the wilds last night, so biting his lips, he went ahead and rented a hotel room. Surprisingly enough, Scimnio fell fast asleep. Matt had some trouble, but he eventually found a dream of his own to bring him through the night. They left early that next afternoon for the gym. He didn?t plan on facing the gym leader. He merely wanted to observe. He thought he saw one of the two girls, the one with the cherinbo, in the market streets, but he didn?t slow down long enough to really find out. He entered the gym through the observer?s entrance. What he saw through the glass window baffled him ? the entire gym seemed to be made out of earth, and large boulders protruded themselves from the ground. It looked more like a battlefield of war than a place for trainers to train. That was when he saw the gym master. The man must have been in his late thirties, forties at most. He had a plain muscle shirt on his already dark skin and hair. What caught Matt?s attention the most, however, was that he never seemed to open his eyes. It was a double battle ? the gym trainer?s two pokemon versus a single pokemon of two trainers. It was going to be interesting. He could learn a few things here. Suddenly, he heard footsteps. He turned to see the girl in the summer clothes enter with Fusha on her shoulders. ?Surprise, surprise?, she said in a very sarcastic tone. Matt just ignored her and continued to watch the battle. Tekkaman
At the Gym Battle located in Pewter City... "...Let the battle begin!" Jonas and Demetri nodded at each other; Jonas giving Pidgey his full confidence, though he thought Demetri was insane for putting his bird against a rock mammoth such as Onix. "Pidgey! Let's do it! Fly at the Geodude!" Brock simply looked as his opponent's Pokemon flew at the Geodude; His Geodude stayed still. As the Pidgey made it to the Geodude's location, Geodude braced himself. "Now Pidgey! Blow that Geodude away!" Pidgey understood, blowing a small tornado in Geodude's location. Normally, the attack would've decimated any other type Pokemon; Geodude simply bruhed off the attack. "I keep telling you," Brock noted to Demetri. "Type Disadvantage. Your Pidgey doesn't stand a chance." "Well if that's the case... Why is your Geodude floating out of bounds?" Brock looked, and to his amazement, Geodude was definitely floating out of bounds. Brock then smiled. "Cute. But my Pokemon hasn't touched the ground out of bounds, as you can see." "Easily rectifiable." Jonas said, nodding at Demetri. Demetri understood. Brock, however, became tired of the waiting, wanting to end the battle now. "Geodude! Rock Throw! Attack the Pidgey!" Geodude, striking his hands inside of a boulder inside the arena, prepared to pick it up and toss it at the fragile little bird. "Pidgey! Quick! Blow sand in the Geodude's eyes!" The Pidgey understood the danger it was in - as well as her trainers command - summoning up sand to blow forcefully into the Geodude's eyes. The Geodude, now with the boulder above it's head, prepared to throw the rock but was stopped by the instantanious blinding from the sand. The Geodude unconsciously dropped the boulder it was carrying on top of it's head slighty becoming dazed from it's own attack. "No!" Brock yelled. "Geodude! Snap out of it!" "Swinub!" Jonas yelled, wanting to stop Geodude in his tracks. "Freeze that Geodude!" Swinub ran towards the dazed Geodude, preparing to take the Pokemon out. Brock became desperate, seeing his Geodude would be knocked out. "Onix! Grab the Swinub with your tail!" "Oh no you dont!" Demetri said, not wanting to miss this golden opportunity. "Pidgey! Fly as quick as you can to that Onix's tail and deflect it!" Pidgey transformed into a blur of feathers while Swinub ran to the dazed Geodude; Onix's tail came swooping down for the kill. Just as Swinub was in firing range, Onix's tail began to wrap around the pig. Luckily, Pidgey's quick attack was powerful enough to send Onix's tail into a slight spasm, letting the Swinub continue with Geodude. The Swinub blasted Geodude with a freezing blast of snow, slowing it's movements considerably. Geodude tried to defend against Swinub's upcoming tackle as well but was too slow from the freezing as the Swinub's tackle knocked the Geodude on the ground, now, out of bounds. Brock was pissed to put it lightly from the two trainers. "Geodude! Return!" Geodude was sent back to it's Pokeball in a flash of red. Brock then turned his attention to Onix. "Onix! Crush that Pidgey with your tail!" Onix grabbed the Pidgey with his tail, beginning to squeeze. Pidgey cried out in pain. "Pidgey! No!" Demetri yelled.
Vicky
OOC: I'm away until Monday, so if you wanna have your character run a head, foxtu, that's fine. Let's just say Sergei's battling some wild Pokemon for now if you want to get a head >_< ----- Sergei launched himself between two trees, almost getting caught inbetween them. Pikachu was fast but so was Sergei. He spent his days running around the hot Cinnibar Island; a cold forest was a breeze for him. Pikachu was directly ahead of him, running in and between the trees trying to lose Sergei. When Pikachu entered onto a path once more, probably getting deeper into the forest, it was met with a dead end. Quite frightened, Pikachu headed back into the forest, only to see Sergei jump in its way. Pikachu turned around and headed across the path to try and get away again. "Nidoran! Go!" Nidoran jumped out of its Pokeball, standing right in front of Pikachu. Stunned, the Pikachu didn't know what to do. It instinctively charged up a small spark of lightning, directing it at Nidoran. Nidoran, even though he didn't get a command, immediately began to run around the Pikachu, effectively dodging its attacks. "Attack it!" Nidoran obeyed and ran at the Pikachu but he wasn't sucessful. Pikachu jolted Nidoran with a powerful thundershock attack, sending Nidoran sparwling to the ground. Sergei cursed. He watched Nidoran jump back up and attempt another attack but, once again, he was knocked back by Pikachu's thundershock. "Nidoran, return!" Sergei returned his Nidoran and scrambled for his Charmander. Pikachu's ears pricked up, it noticed its enemy had gone and attempted to run away again. "Charmander, stop Pikachu!" Sergei threw Charmander's Pokeball as far as he could. When Charmander burst out it caught the sight of Pikachu heading for the bushes. Thinking quickly, Charmander unleashed a burning flame from its throat, creating a small line of fire and preventing Pikachu from escaping. As the startled Pikachu turned around, it was met with Charmander's sharp claws. Pikachu was thrown to the ground and, not really much of a fighter, it seemingly gave up and lay there. "You're mine now..." Sergei grinned, tossing a Pokeball at Pikachu. The red light engulfed the yellow rat, the Pokeball quivered in the air for a moment and fell to the floor, shaking and quivering. It wasn't long at all until Pikachu was secure in its new Pokeball, making Sergei grin an awful lot. This trainer business was kinda cool! "Sergei! Are you okay?" Ashin asked, coming up behind him, out of breath. Sergei picked up his Pokeball and smiled. "I gots me a Pikachu!" He said, laughing. Ashin joined in with his laughing as well, and the two continued on their way to Pewter city.
foxtu78
"I think we go this way to get out." Ashin said, looking around some trees. "I've never been this deep. I'm not sure if this is the right way to go." Sergei, amused by the newly added Pikachu, didn't hear her. "I wonder why the tips of his ears aren't black?" Sergei asked. "I'm sure all Pokemon don't look exactly the same. They have to have some differences. Hey, there's the main path! And the exit!" Ashin said with a grin, relieved to be out of the forest. "Finally, I was tired of all those bug Pokemon." Sergei said. "We should get to the Pokemon Center and make sure our Pokemon are ready for Brock." "Who's Brock?" Sergei asked. "He's the Pewter City Gym Leader and an amazing trainer. He uses rock Pokemon." They quickly walked to the Center and gave their Pokemon to Nurse Joy, who was relieved to know Ashin had made it back to town okay, and with two Pokemon at that. It didn't take very long and when they had gotten their Pokemon back they left. "I have to go see my mom. Your welcome to come if you'd like." Ashin said. Sergei pondered for a minute or so before saying, "Sure. We can go fight Brock in a little while."
Ellerby
"Now!" shouted Jonas at his Pokemon. Swinub reacted by shooting a beam of snow at the Onix's eyes. The attack missed, and Brock laughed. "Nice try!" he chuckled. But all too soon as it would seem because a few seconds after the snow a splatter of mud flew at the Onix's eyes. Swinub's Mud Slap. The mud hit right on and Onix wiped his eyes with his tail, letting go of the almost knocked out Pidgey. Demetri grinded his teeth and cheered on his bird Pokemon. Pidgey slowly got to its feet and flew back into the air. Without saying a word, Swinub once again fired off powdered snow, this time hitting. Onix's entire face froze up and it screeched in pain as it hit the ground, wiggling to get the ice off. Before it could do so, Pidgey and Swinub both tackled the ice at the same time, breaking it off. When Onix opened its cold eyes again Pidgey blasted a round of sand in its mouth. Finally Onix threw itself into the air and let out an ear-shattering screech. Pidgey fell to the ground and Swinub rolled onto its back, wiggling its feet. The Onix then spit out all the sand onto Pidgey, covering it completely in wet sand. Pidgey cooed softly, trying to let Demetri know that it had given up but Demetri refused to listen. Swinub got onto its feet and pushed Pidgey out the sand pile. Pidgey thanked the pig and flew back into the air, shaking the remaining spit and sand off. "That's right!" Demetri shouted, thankful that Pidgey still had some fight left. He glanced at the giant rock worm which remained still. "Umm.." Then, Onix's body parts detatched and he fell on the battlefield to be returned by an angered Brock.
Akieen Cloud
Azure was walking by the Poke center that her and Ronyo had just left and blinked as a small round blue Pokemon bounced out carring a small bag of Pokeberries. Azure bent down and scooped up the small Pokemon as it ran past her. "Hey there little guy, what are you up to?" Nurse Joy ran to her and smiled. "He's a wild Spheal that someone brought in from a while away and no body came for him. He runs around here and get curious from time to time." "I wounder what he would feel like if he had a trainer." The small Pokemon looked up at her and smiled wide, she smiled and cuddled the Spheal to her chest rubbing her cheek againt it. "Oh! It's so cute! What does he evevolve into?" Nurse Joy chuckled. "He becomes a Sealo, and then a Wallrin." Azure smiled more and held the water Pokemon up and looked at it. "I could use a water Pokemon when it comes to getting my badge in Pewter city. What do you say little guy? Want to come with me?" The Pokemon smiled and hopped from her arms and took a fighting stance. "So a battle? Not a bad trade off. Cyndaquill!" Her fire Pokemon ran up beside her and blew a small jet of fire as his back shot into flames. "Ready?" "Cynda!" She nodded and looked at him smileing. "Start things off with a smokescreen and then go in for a tackle!" Her Cyndaquill did as it was advised and as the smoke cleared she saw the Speal panting and threw her Pokeball, it glowed for a moment and then setteled. "Yay! I fianlly got another Pokemon!" She jumped into the air a few time giggleing and ran to Ronyo giving him a quick hug and then ran towards the entrance of the Viridian Forest." "Come on you slow pokes!" She smiled as they followed in her wake. OCC: Sorry it's been for a while, I've not been with it to much this week.
Wullf_Maximas
As the three trainers walked towards the end of Viridian City and ever closer to Viridian Forest Azure had a more than usual beaming smile. Her new pokemon, a Spheal, was now happily stored in a poke ball on Azure?s hip. ?That?s a great catch Azure. I think that Spheal needed a good friend to care for it, and plus now you have something to use in your Pewter Gym battle.? Ronyo said as he watched Azure skipping along ?I know, its really cool, and he?s so cute too. Now I got a water and a fire pokemon.? Azure smiled ?That Spheal is also a ice pokemon. That will double your chances against Brock.? Ronyo had heard enough about Brock to know what awaited them. Living in Viridian City meant they got a lot of news from the only other city with a gym that was close by. Since Viridian?s Gym was now more of a place for the homeless then a gym leader, trainer news came once a week and was the talk of the city. Ronyo always heard how Brock sent another selfish trainer running home, when Ronyo actually made it into the city on the rare occasion. Sigurd, however, had a look that did not share in Azure?s happy mood. He seemed to be thinking very deeply on something. He actually had begun to fall behind the other two as they talked. Anubis actually clued Ronyo into what was going on by giving him a nudge. When Ronyo looked down to see why his pale had hit him, he saw Anubis looking at Sigurd. ?Sigurd, your gonna get left behind if you keep this pace. Last thing I wanna do is lose someone in the forest.? Ronyo stated Sigurd looked up and realized he?d been falling behind. He quickly caught up to the others and gave an embraced smile. ?What?s up?? Azure asked with such a cheery attitude Sigurd felt obligated to tell ?I was thinking about the Pewter City Gym, and the fact that Brock uses rock types. I have full confidence in my Eevee but I just don?t know if were going to be able to effect his pokemon.? ?Type doesn?t matter,? Azure and Sigurd gave Ronyo an odd look, ?Well ok, type does matter some, but it doesn?t mean the difference in a battle. Sure Brock may have a pokemon with a hide of rock so what. Use what you have and use it with confidence. I?ll bet Brock?s team of rocks can?t match Eevee?s speed, I bet Eevee could run circles around any of his pokemon.? ?You think?? ?Think nothing, I know I?m sure of it.? Azure smiled Sigurd smiled and looked down at his Eevee, who was walking with he?s chest out and head up. Sigurd chuckled at the sight and decided he would show Brock what he and his Eevee could do. ?Well here we are, the entrance to Viridian Forest. Hope you two are ready, lets go.? Ronyo said as him and Anubis walk in. ________________________________________ OOC: hope you don?t mind me taking a few liberties with your char Sakazaki :animeswea . AngryBarista
"Fine, don't say hi or anything..." Miku grumbled when she noticed Matt look over at her and walk past completely. She put down the tulip seeds she had been looking at and moved along through the market stalls. Pewter City Market was the biggest market in all of western Kanto; it was no surprise Miku was wandering through the place. There were two things the girl had a passion for in life: nature and books. As of yet the hippie trainer hadn't come across any interesting looking books that her parents didn't already own, or that she herself hadn't already read. Pewter seemed lacking in the areas of literacy, but it was a city right near the mountains, so its inhabitants most likely got their information from those passing through. "Umm, excuse me" she asked one of the stall owners, "Could you tell me where I could find a book stall? One with non-fiction books?" "Whell of course cha'ld," came the old woman's reply - she seemed to have a heavy accent - "Jus' go down this her' layne and take a left. I's the thurd store on yer ra'ght." After deciphering what the woman was saying, Miku nodded and moved on. Okay...this lane, left, third on my right... she thought to herself. When she arrived, Miku stood infront of the stall unimpressed. She must have owned over half the books that were on display, and read the rest at some point. "Can I help you young lady?" asked the stall keeper snidely. It was obvious he had judged Miku on her current outfit and massive dreads. "Yes please," she said imitating the man's posh accent as best she could. His expression immediately changed, "I would like to purchase, if I may, a book containing information about berries and their attributes." "Oh, why of course! Why didn't you simply ask?" he began. He rattled on for a bit while he rummaged around for the book. "That will be...$15 thank you. Oh pish-posh, why not $10?" "Why thank you," she said with the most fake smile she could pull. Once she had found her way out of the marketplace, book in satchel bag and Sakura waddling behind her, Miku decided to find the city's gym - just for the sake of seeing it. As she approached the giant building she noticed a number of Oak's chosen gathered outside looking through the windows, slack-jawed and with hopeless expressions on their faces. Two trainers then came out of the gym, also from Oak's crew, one with a Swinub sitting atop his head and the other carrying an exhausted-looking Pidgey. I remember them! I wonder how they're going? she thought, then waving to the two boys "Did you win?" "Umm...yeah!" they said in unison, smiling widely. They both looked at one another nervously. "Thanks for asking, are you going to try for a badge?" asked the one with the Swinub. She remembered him as Jonas when she saw the camera hanging around his neck. "Naw, I don't think I'm up to it! I wouldn't want to exhaust Sakura here either," she replied. "Well you do have a type advantage over everyone in here. They're all Rock/Ground trainers," said the one with the Pidgey. Miku couldn't recall his name. "It's quite exhilarating too," said Jonas with a wide grin, "And I got a few nice shots from it, haha!" Miku smiled politely, "How wonderful. I may end up doing it after all. Depends on what Sakura thinks," she then bid the two goodbye as they went off to rest their companions. 10 minutes later, on the outskirts of Pewter City... "Cheri~!" "Squee~!" Mitsuhoney blew away Sakura's leaf attack with a gust of wind, then flew in to strike at the cherry. "Careful guys it's just training," said Miku, flipping a page of her new book. "It says here that the seeds of a Cherinbo can grow into cherry trees." Sakura turned from the training match to look quizically at her trainer, only to be hit with another blast of air from the honeycomb pokemon. "I still can't believe you two actually want to battle for Pewter's badge," Miku said, rolling her eyes and laughing.
GuyYouMetOnline
Aesera was enjoying the battle with Kaeo. More specifically, she was enjoying playing her game with the man. Kaeo, of course, didn't know what Aesera was up to. He'd heard her tell Absol to go with the strategy she'd named 'beatdown'. Because of the name, Kaeo had expected Absol to come hard and fast, forgetting defence and focusing on offense. But what was happening was just the opposite. Instead of going on the offensive, Absol was entirely on the defensive, evading Doduo's attacks but making none of her own. She would eventually, but not just yet. Not until Aesera made her move. Aesera was watching the battle and waiting for the right moment. Before long, she saw her chance and took it. She and Kaeo were directly opposite each other, and the two Pokemon were off to the side, so Aesera could be reasonably certain that she wouldn't run into either of them. Aesera dropped her pack off of her back, catching it as it fell. Packs like hers were designed with trainers in mind, and hers had a front pouch that could be opened in an instant, allowing for quick access to items during battle. Trainers put items that they were most likely to need during battle in the front pouches so that they could get at the items quickly. Of course, Aesera had a couple items in her front pouch that most trainers didn't put there, and it was one of those that she grabbed. The item Aesera went for was a smoke ball. When thrown, it exploded into a cloud of smoke. It was designed to aid in escaping from wild Pokemon, but Aesera had a quite different use in mind. Knowing that Kaeo wouldn't see her coming, Aesera walked forwards. As the smoke began to clear, she picked up the pace. As the smoke cleared, Kaeo saw Aesera running at him. He tried to react, but thanks to the smoke ball, he hadn't seen Aesera coming until it was too late. Aesera was on him before he could do anything, and the next thing he knew he was doubled over from a kick to the crotch. Aesera grabed him and threw him onto the ground. While Aesera was taking Kaeo down, Absol was doing the same thing with Doduo. The smoke ball had taken Doduo by surprise, but Absol and known that it was coming. As a result, she was better prepared, and as the smoke had faded, she'd located her opponent before Doduo had found her. Doduo did see her coming, but not soon enough to avoid her attack. Absot scored a hit and didn't stop attacking. This was the beatdown for which Aesera'd named the strategy. And before long, Doduo went down. With her opponent defeated, Absol joined Aesera by the downed Kaeo. "I think Absol and I won," Aesera said. "Y- you- this was a Pokemon battle," Kaeos replied, still hurting from the beating Aesera'd given him. Aesera nodded. "Yes, it was, but I didn't think I'd win if I played by the rules, and I wasn't about to let a nutjob like you beat me. So I did something I knew you wouldn't expect. Yes, I went against the rules, but it's not like I'm going to do that in an official match. Besides, I'm supposed to help change how people think of Pokemon, and if I'm going to do that, then I kind of have to be willing to break the rules, now, don't I? Anyways, I'll be on my way now. Let's go, Absol." Aesera returned Absol to her Pokeball and resumed heading for Pewter City. It didn't take long for Aesera to reach the Pewter City Pokemon Center. Once there, she handed Absol's Pokeball over to Nurse Joy, then took a seat and waited. ------------------------------------------------------ OOC: Hopefully, this post established that Aesera's willing to break the rules if she has to. She won't do anything like what she did against Kaeo during an official battle (such as one against a Gym Leader), of course, but she is willing to break the rules if she must. Akieen Cloud
Azure ran ahead of Ronyo and Anubis and into the forest and stopped as she stood in the first part of the forest. "Wow, this place is pretty big huh?' She looked back at Ronyo who was looking at her funny and giggled, giving him a thumbs up she began to look through the grass as if searching for something. Ronyo was the first to ask. "What are you doing, it can be dangerous in here, you know that right?" 'Huh? Oh yeah I know, I'm looking for Pokemon, a Pikachu would go really great with the team I'm getting; a fire, water slash ice, and an electric." "What exactly is your plan for a team?" This time she answered Sergi. "I want one of every kind." Ronyo arched an eye brow. "Even bug?" Azure turned on the spot and gave him a v sign and nodded vigorously. "Oh yeah, you bet! I want on of everything, it'll be so cool to work with all the different kinds of Pokemon and seeing what they all can do, getting to know their strengths and weaknesses. Err, I can't wait!" Ronyo took a slight step back as she punched the air. He suddenly looked at her and asked a question that was often asked of her. "How old are you?" She placed a hand on the back of her neck and giggled nervously, this question and the answer lost her friends almost every time. "Uh...I'm, well. I'm 18" "You never act like it." She giggled again this time more openly. "It keeps me young!" Ronyo looked at her strangely again and she laughed openly for a very short time before Ronyo's hand was over her mouth. Blinking she asked what he was doing through his hand and some how he managed to understand her. "I told you, this place is dangerous. You have to be pretty quiet unless you want a swarm of Beedrill coming after us." He blinked as her eyes got big and bright, he could make out the word 'Really" through his hand and nodded down at her. "It's not a good thing though; the poison from their stings could kill us and our Pokemon." He saw her blink as this registered and she nodded. "Good." She blinked some more and blushed as she pointed to his hand. "Sorry." Removing his hand he began to lead the way through the forest noticing that Azure kept her eyes darting back and forth looking for a Pikachu or any other Pokemon. She looked at Ronyo and smiled wide giving him yet another thumbs up and making a zipper motion across her lips. He shook his head and smiled at the same time as he stayed ahead leading them safely through.

GuyYouMetOnline
Aesera looked up as the Pokemon Center's door opened and two people walked in. Aesera recognized them as two of the people from Oak's, Demetri and Jonas. She stood and walked over to them as they handed their Pokeballs to Nurse Joy. "Helo," Aesera said. "Hello, there," Jonas replied. "You're... Aesera, right? I remember you from Oak's." Aesera nodded. "Yes. And I remember the two of you, Jonas and Demetri. The two of you are traveling together, I take it?" "Yeah, we are," Demetri replied. "What about you? Are you traveling by yourself, or is your travel partner somewhere else at the moment?" "I'm traveling by myself right now," Aesera said. "A lot of the others are moving from city to city as fast as they can, but not me. I'm taking things a bit slower, enjoying the journey itself. I tried joining up with Matt, but he ran off as soon as we reached Veridian. The guy got himself into some kind of trouble shortly thereafter, though, so maybe it's for the best that he ran off." "I think I saw him as we were leaving the Gym," Jonas told Aesera. "There were a lot of people from Oak's there. What about you? Have you been there yet?" Aesera shook her head. "Nope. I just got to Pewter, actually. I'm going to go to the Gym as soon as Absol's healed up, though. You two got your badges, then?" "Yes, we did," Demetri replied. "It was tough, but we won." "Well, we'll just see how the Gym's trainers react to me," Aesera said. "I don't think they'll be ready for what me and Absol do. I'll need to get there and see what I'm up against before I decide on a specific strategy, but I've got several battle plans ready to go, and virtually none of them are predictable. That's what's important, you know. It doesn't matter how tough the Pokemon is if the strategy sucks." "We'll keep that in mind," Jonas told Aesera. "Thanks for the tip." "Hey," Aesera said, "would you guys mind if I tagged along with you? You'd have to wait for me to get my badge, of course, but I don't think that'll take too long." At that moment, Nurse Joy approached Aesera and handed her Absol's Pokeball. "Here you are," she said. "Thanks," Aesera replied. She turned back to Jonas and Demetri. "Well, I'm off to the Gym now. Anyways, dol you guys want to travel with me? I shouldn't be too long getting back from the Gym, and besides, you two have to stay here for a while anyways to wait for the Pokemon you gave Nurse Joy to be healed. I'll just go get my badge and come right back here, then we can leave together. What do you say?" --------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: White/Tekkaman, make your decision, please. Oh, and if you say yes but want to go ahead and leave Pewter anyways, then by all means do so. Just mention that Aesera left the Pokemon center to go to the Gym and that she returned a little while later with a badge, and I'll fit her battle into that time slot when I post next. Wullf_Maximas
OOC: I figured I'd try a new color in the post to livin things up. :animesmil Ronyo and Anubis were trying as hard as they could to stay away from any unnecessary fighting. A battle could provoke more than they were ready for, and that could lead to trouble. Anubis kept his nose to the ground and ears in the air. Ronyo had his ears alert as well, and his eyes moving back and forth. Sigurd and his Eevee stayed close to Azure but was doing well as a rear guard. Either Sigurd or Eevee almost always had their heads looking back the way they had come. Azure was doing well to keep quite, although she did want to say how beautiful the forest was. Suddenly Ronyo stopped and held his hand up for the others to do so. Ronyo took a knee and brushed the ground with his hand. Anubis gave the same area a sniff and then a slight growl. ?There was a battle here. Between Beedrill and as far as I can tell a fire and grass pokemon. I see signs of another but only fleeting, must have been a flying type as well. All these pin missiles suggest a large number of Beedrill. However several impressions in the ground show signs of things hitting the ground from a hovering positions. Which means the Beedrill lost.? ?you can tell all that from the dirt?? Sigurd asked ?If you know what to look for anyone can. Plus being in this forest enough I know what signs Beedrill leave, and what there wings do to the ground. The scattered seeds and burned vines tell me about the grass and fire pokemon. I?d have to say these pokemon belonged to some of our comrades from Oaks.? ?How did you figure that?? Azure asked ?I?m just guessing on that one, but I don?t see many grass types in this forest and no fire types. I just hope?.? Ronyo?s words ended with what he hopped not to be. Four Beedrill hovered in place just a few feet from them. They had marks showing they had either been in or been way to close to the battle that took place here earlier. Either way, they were pissed. ?Azure, Sigurd you two ready?? ?You bet.? They said together The Beedrill broke off and surrounded the team on four sides. The hovering bug?s hand stingers began to glow indicating they were about to unleash a hail of pin missiles. ?Cyndaquil smokescreen!? Cyndaquil obliged her partners command and let out a thick black cloud of smoke. The Beedrill hesitated for a moment but that was all they needed. Eevee and Cyndaquil broke through the smoke and tackled a Beedrill each knocking them out. The smoke cleared again as a fire ball seared through the wall of black and slammed into a Beedrill. The flame attack dealt massive damage to the insect, but only enough to enable it from fighting. When the smoke finally lifted Ronyo stood with Anubis behind him, and his new friend Bushido in front. The Beedrill was taken aback by how quickly his fellow Beedrill had fallen, and now staring at a ready Cubone made it even more nervous. ?Your call Beedrill, we have to quarrel with you. Leave and you won?t force our hand.? Ronyo gave the insect its ultimatum. The Beedrill for what ever reason reacted with anger and rush the human had spoken to it. Ronyo just nodded to Bushido who in turn rushed forward at the Beedrill. At the last second before impact the Cubone spun to its right avoiding the Beedrill. Bushido completed his turn and brought it bone club down onto the unaware Beedrill. Bushido walked over to the unconscious insect and gave it a bow then a bow to Ronyo. ?Well done Bushido, return for now and rest.? Ronyo smiled at he?s Cubone and returned it to his poke ball, ? Well Azure, if you wanted a Beedrill now?s your chance.?
Andrew
“Something wrong with you today? I think that’s the most I’ve heard you speak in a long while? First talking to yourself now this?” Andrew said with heavy sarcasm and a hint of confusion. Truth be told, Andrew wanted nothing more to do with his father these days. Sure the death of their mother had hit them all hard but leaving two young sons was nothing short of outright fucking disgraceful. Although this was the first time that either of them had talked about it since he’d left, Andrew always became cold and uncharacteristic when he remembered his father. At this Nate kept quiet and both walked along in silence. This time however it was Nate who felt uncomfortable. It wasn’t like his younger brother to become quiet and dramatic, very uncharacteristic. Then suddenly his brother stopped and Nate just looked at him curiously. “There! Andrew pointed and spoke loudly. Nate’s eyes immediately sought out the two blue objects in the long grass that his brother was pointing at. From this distance it was near enough impossible to tell what was happening so Andrew took off into a sprint. Nate’s shocked reaction quickly disappeared as he dashed after his younger brother not knowing what he had in mind. He watched as Andrew leapt up the embankment in front of him and then shouted out. “I’ve got dibs on the Heracross!” Nate eyed the back of his brother’s head with a curious look but understood fully when he too reached the top of the bank. There, a female Nidoran and a Heracross were locked in battle both looking somewhat worn. Nate’s eyes lit up at the sight of the Nidoran while Andrew had a similar fiery glare at the Heracross. From what Andrew could tell the Nidoran looked a little more worn, perhaps from previous battles, but either way it was going to fall soon. And exactly as he predicted the Heracross performed a final lunge at the wounded Nidoran and it fell to the floor in total exhaustion. And as soon as their battle was officially over AJ’s Zubat dived onto the Heracross’s back and began leeching its energy. The Heracross grew angry and hurled itself backwards in an attempt to crush Zubat, but its superior speed allowed it to move away freely while the Heracross just ended up hurting itself. It was then that Andrew launched his 3rd Pokéball and engulfed the large blue bug in the usual crimson light.
