Anime Video Games That should be Animes

The only problem I see is coming up with a voice for the hero, as he doesn't really have one. It would seem a bit weird. I love that game it's one of my favorite games of all time, and the story is epic in my opinion. Although you'd really have to throw out the class change system, unless you could think of something innovative to apply this to the anime. [/color][/size]

I don't usually post in this forum, but seeing the video game theme of this thread I just [I]had[/I] to write my opinion.

I don't think anybody's surprised when I say that I would like to see a Final Fantasy anime series. Yes, I'm aware of [B]Final Fantasy Unlimited[/B], but it's not really related to the games. And the movies [B]Spirits Within[/B] and [B]Advent Children[/B] aren't anime in my book, just because they were done fully with computer technology.

Like Veritas, I'd be very intrigued to see the epic and complex storyline of Final Fantasy Tactics in anime form, but honestly, just about every Final Fantasy title (aside from the first, I reckon) could be turned into a series.

Why? Because the games base heavily on their stories and characters, and the gameplay is a secondary matter in them. The plotlines are also multilayered and span through a whole world and beyond. In my opinion the game series is great at steering away from the worst clichés, and every game is an individual with it's own world and mythology.

So yeah, give me a proper Final Fantasy anime series, and you'll have a sure buyer here.

About Shadow of Colossus: I don't think a movie would work. A movie is just too short to fit in all those cool bosses. An anime, however, might get a good season out of it. Let's say one episode to start us off, another to get to and start the first boss and from then on 3 episodes per boss (maybe 4 depending on the boss). Then there are all those [spoiler]wacky dreams and flashbacks[/spoiler] that can be stretched out into full episodes. You could get a full season out of that game.

Final Fantasy (any of them, really), God of War, Pikmin, and Fable would all make great anime's. I definitely agree with those but.. Wario World? Kingdom Hearts? No. Just because a game is popular and good doesn't mean it can make a good show (as Super Mario and Legend of Zelda has proved to us more than once).

I also think Golden Sun would make an amazing anime. The compelling storyline, deep characters, fantasy-like magic and long script all make it a great idea to turn it into an anime. Especially since the characters are already drawn in an anime style. It would also take some stress off some of the fanboy/girl's out there still hoping for a Golden Sun 3.

Yeah, a new Pokemon anime would be nice aswell. I'm rather sick of Ash/Pikachu/Team Rocket and the predictable episodes. [/FONT][/COLOR]

[COLOR=Red][FONT=Georgia]Some games i want to see made into animes are the soul calibur series, Dead or Alive, Halo, and Disaega.
In the past we know that some fighting games didn't make such great movies and might of had made ok animes, but i think the intenseness of Dead or Alive and Soul calibur could make a nice action anime. Soul Calibur though might be a bit on the dramadic side. I really think they could make a nice side story to halo in an anime kinda like how they did animatrix. Disaega already has the manga/anime style to it and plus being FFtactics syle of game might make i pretty nice anime also.[/FONT][/COLOR]

The Final Fantasy series if what I'd love to see as an anime. Particularly FF7, since it was my favourite of the lot and I believe it was their masterpiece. I'm aware of the Last Order animation that was done for it but if it could be turned into an actual series itself, in that kind of quality, I think that would be amazing.

I suppose I'd also go for seeing these games as an anime as well:

Dark Chronicle
'Tales Of' series (I know it's already been done but I'd like a european version too)
Atelier Iris series
Nippon Ichi genre

I've seen clips and stuff of the Disgaea anime, but I've yet to see any episodes. Anyone know somewhere where I can download/watch them?

Well, I said before that I believe Halo would be a great anime but I didn't explain why. The storyline is the kind you would see in Animes like Ghost in a Shell and such. Esspecially when you mix the Game storyline with the Books storyline. [spoiler]I mean with Master Chief ,Spartan 117 John, being one of the last spartans, John's Squadmates being killed and his best friend, Linda (Also a spartan) almost being killed, it gives him more then enough reason to hate the Covenant.[/spoiler] It is the makings of a awesome plot. That is just how I feel.

Hmm... I say Tekken 3, 4 and 5. They are proper enough to be anime series! The endings won't suffice the overall of all the Tekken series!! Ok, there is an animated movie but anime series is way better!

Wowwee, I thought OtakuBoards won't care about my view! Ok then, to not declare my thread a spam, I should elaborate my reasons. As we know in all Tekken games there are loads of fighters, therefore loads of stories going on within all games. Believe me, the stories will make sense if these games turn into anime series... for example, the rivalry between Jin Kazama and Hwoarang. How the hell can they be enemies in the first place? Why? There might probably be at least a reason! I don't know how and I can't fully trust the unofficials and fanfictions and story modes in Tekken games. So... that's all. The main reason. Minor reasons are Tekken is an action-genre, with a dose of reality and fantasy, serious and humour. And the characters will look cool in anime style!
