Kenshin DX
To start this is not the ANIME THAT NEEDS A CONTINUATION THREAD. This thread is for anime you feel should be redone ,redited, or revised. Lately Ive thought wow what a crap ending or WTF is with this part? So here are some of my mentions. Rurouni Kenshin- Lets pretend the anime 3rd season and the OVA never happend and animate the Jinchuu arch instead. It staryed way to far from the manga and gave a craptastic final 30 episodes. Samurai Deeper Kyo- pretty much Id change the whole damn thing. It was horrble and seeing how the manga was so good its a disgrace. Gantz-possibly the worst ending in an anime. It made no sense it was completly rushed and incomplete. They also should have included more of the manga such as the
dinosaur and vampire missions
they were also missing characters in the anime as well Get Backers- Id change the ending to where the LE arch left off it was more conclusive then the one they gave you.Id also put in the blood , sexual content , and profanity the manga provided instead of watching the watered down version One Piece- Everything about One Piece should be changed the voices, violence ,and finally the God awful music.
Guest csachick1
OMG yes i totally agree with you on One Piece. Yu-yu Hakasho why do they make Kurama look gay. I would change that Fruits Basket I mean why is everyone all happy and what is up with the theme song? three animes that should never have been made: Yu-Gi-Oh Pokemon Naruto (a lot of people like it but I hate it It's stupid and it brainwashes people) I also hate to say this but what is up with Bobobo bo-bobo The only reason people like it is because it is stupid. And in Azumanga Daioh WHAT IS THE PLOT??? DOES ANYONE KNOW???
csachick1, welcome to Otakuboards. Keep in mind that the focus of the boards is discussion. It's okay to list your answers, but try to have an explanation for why the items are on the list. Elaborate on your answers to help the flow of the conversation, and keep in mind the use of proper grammar, spelling, and punctuations. ie. Why does Naruto brainwash people? Why is it stupid? What would you change Kuruma to? What's wrong with Bobobo and, again, why is it stupid? Keep these suggestions in mind when posting in the boards to keep your post quality up. Horendithas
I would love to see the first couple of seasons of Sailor Moon redone. For one thing it was one of the very first anime shows that I was introduced to and another, since so much of it was edited and never dubbed in the first place, the dubbed version is downright horrible. Close to fifteen episodes in the first two seasons was left out all together. You can get the subtitled version, but I would have liked to see it done right in the first place. Another reason is there were also a lot of filler episodes, especially in the Pegasus Arch. And characters that were in the manga were left out all together. So it would be interesting to see it redone where it matched the manga better. They defiantly need to get rid of those filler episodes. Andy
Well, believe it or not, I would like to see Blue Gender remade again. I don't really think much editing would be necessary, just edit the animation to sharper image's and make it look "newer". Because all in all that anime did manage to get my attention, and I would love to see someone take it and remake it again. And I also have to agree with the whole One Piece voice acting deal(English Dub). I really would like to see someone take that anime and get some better voice actor's, and the anime would be much better in my opinion if there was more "graphic" violence, such as blood(duh)*rolls eye's because of lack of nice blood scenes*. And that about sum's it up for me the anime that I believe should be redone/edited. For now at least.
chibi-mashumaro
hmmm, well, there's one anime I can think of. I think that they should at least redo the english dub on the original Ah! My Goddess OVA. I might be just me, but I couldn't stand it. I watched almost the whole thing in Japanese.
Kenshin DX
Id like to add a couple more additions... Black Cat- Great manga. Horrible anime. I hate how the story focues more on Sven then it does on Train. Why do they feel the need to stray so far from the excellent source material? Gundam Wing- The storyline was great but it tended to get a little overdramatic at times. Id love to see it redone with better animation less emo crap and a better conclusion. I HATED Endless Waltz. There was hardly any action it was just wasted material. Berserk- Make a second season allready. Peace Maker Kurogane- while it was enjoyable the fight scenes were few and far between I would have like to see more combat in place of comedy.
Dragonboym2
I ahte to say this, Kenshin DX but there is NO plan at all to do more "Berserk." Sorry. Hmm..for me, I'd like to see the third story arc of the "Ruroni Kenshin" mamga done in anime form. I haven't seen the third arc of the anime, but I heard that the manga is much better. YU-Gi-Oh! needs to be redone. (The american version.). The orginal anime is darker, more vilolent, and has more muture themes. The american dubb is watered down, and aimmed at children. Yu-Gi-Oh was aimmed at TEENS, not children! DO IT RIGHT! Naruto has some problems too. The american dub has changed alot of diolouge, cut scenes, and Naruto has a REALLY OBNOXIOUS VOICE!! He sounds like a ten year old on drugs! If I have to hear him say "BELEIVE IT!" one more time, I will vomit. I know that an uncut version is out, but I'm going to skip the dub track. As for the rest of the show, I hope more uncut stuff comes out soon. "KAMEHAMEHA!" Dragonboym2
Roxie Faye
Weiß Kreuz Kapitel needs to be remade in terms of animation. The animation is just really cheap (kinda reminds of G-Gundam animation, though not quite as bad. ^^), and needs to be redone. And there needs to be blood. They're freaking assassins, and even in the jpns version there's hardly any blood! I Love WK to bits and pieces, but Kapitel (- the OVA is pretty okay for the time span, and Gluehen does a great job on expanding emotions) also needs to have its characters expanded. All of them are so under developed. If someone could PLEASE explain to me why Yohji's entire life revolves around the deceased Murase Asuka, I would be quite happy. (Because sometimes I want to slap him upside the head and say "Get over it, man!") I wouldn't want them to touch the character designs, though. Personally, They're all at their hottest in Kapitel. Yeah, they're still sexy in Gluehen, but Aya's just so hot in Kapitel. ;_; (And so is mein Schuldig! ^^; *squeals fangirlish*) I know this doesn't make a lot of sense, but I'm hoping it's enough. It's late, and I have to go to bed. X_X
Fasteriskhead
Space Runaway Ideon. First item, you've got the most powerful mecha in anime history, and this is what it looks like: Basically if you took a 1983 Chevy Malibu Stationwagon, painted it fire engine red, and made it so that it could harnass infinite energy and destroy the universe, that would be the Ideon. Look folks, I don't ask a whole lot from 1980s mecha design - I like Gundam and all but I don't really think the style peaked until Gunbuster, an opinion for which I will probably get a LOT of flak. But damn it, if you're going to make the giant robot to end all others, you should at least have it look like something other than a boxy eyesore that recently escaped from a trailer park. The Ideon, above all other mechas, is due for a redesign. Second item, the cast. SRI's themes seem to be more or less trying to show the horror and absurdity of war, and it fails in this. It fails because the evidence of the show indicates that, far from being a tragedy, war is actually just the result of the entire cast being complete idiots. Seriously, in the past I've made fun of Hikaru (from Macross) and Amuro Ray (from Gundam) for being morons, but throw them into the Ideon universe and they'd be treated like savants. These people bumble into one easily-avoided catastrophe after another. And this is not even mentioning characters doing things like SUDDENLY INDICATING THAT THEY HAVE CRUSHES ON BUFF CLAN MEMBERS THEY HAVE PREVIOUSLY NEVER GIVEN A SECOND GLANCE TO (by the way, the Buff Clan never stops being hilarious). After about a dozen episodes of this, it's by no means harrowing when they suddenly start having gory deaths left and right. It feels more like natural selection finally kicking in. Ideon thinks it's a much better show than it actually turns out to be. But it definitely deserves a second chance. Oh, and one last note: for the hypothetical remake, they should keep the original opening music. Because it's completely awesome . vegeta rocker
Some of these don't really strike me as having to be redone; they strike me as crappy american versions. In which case you should just buck up and watch the original japanese. As for others like Kenshin and Weiss Kruez i tend to kind of agree. They really didn't have a great budget for Weiss so it sure wouldn't hurt. As for Kenshin, it wasn't so much that it needs to be redone, it's that it needs to be continued. Kenshin was planned to be way longer but the budget went away. Thats why Enishi wasn't animated and the show just kind of stopped. (an excuse Inuyasha does not have) The Samurai X OVAs' were created because fans wanted more to the story of Kenshin. So they were given more, me personally, i like them. As for One Piece and Yu Gi Oh if you are talking about how they are watered down and aimed at kids; then thats because they were dubbed by 4Kids Entertainment. If you don't want them watered down so much then watch the originals.
Gavin
Interesting, most interesting. OK, I'm going to bite the bullet here and say I'd like to see the Saiyan and Frieza Sagas of Dragonball Z redone. Now I know some anime fans out there are sharpening knives ready to fillet me for this, but my main reason for saying it is because so much of the earlier Sagas simply don't fit with what comes after it, as if they simply made stuff up as they go along. I mean my first point is how if we take the Bardock Special as being what happened to Planet Vegeta, which I prefer to do as it's far better done that what was shown in the Frieza Saga, then Raditz should have no idea his brother is alive, ergo he should have no reason to go to Earth. Secondly there's the litany of discrepancies on information pertaining to the Saiyans, their tail weakness which disappears, their empire which turns out to be nothing more than a piece of Frieza?s dominion and how the planet was actually destroyed by Frieza and not it?s guardian as King Kai said. Really all I?d like them to do is go back and redo the storyline so that all the facts fit, after that, I?m happy.
Magus
I have a few. Street Fighter 2 V - Not so much as redo the whole series (the way it started was nicely done), just the last half because after they arrived in Spain, it was just crap from then on out. I'm not certain if it was budget problems or not, but the animation needs to be redone as well. As the series continued, you could see that they were using clips from previous fights to do the newer fights. (I really hated that. Gungrave did it as well.) And they really need to get rid of the implications of Ryu and Ken being gay. (No offense to anyone. I just can't stand seeing that type of implication on those 2 characters.) G Gundam - Hm. What can I say about this one. This was an oldie right? (Like early 90's?) If not, the animation could use some work. But I'd really say redo the entire script. Some of the things that was being said was just way too obvious, and they overused "That's right".
inactive
Gah! Inu Yasha needs to be revised. Just MAKE IT SHORTER! :animeangr Lots of the stuff in the plot is real quality stuff, but after, like, 200 episodes, it starts to get boring! The stuff at the beginning was great but now... It needs to be shorter and more to the point. It would be cool to see better quality of animation and a little more emotional depth, too. I guess it wouldn't really be the same, but it would be better. That's just my opinion, though... :animesigh
Magus
^ Well according to Anime News Network. Inu Yasha has 167 episodes. Compared to Naruto which has 211+ (still going as far as I know). While DBZ has like 300 episodes. (I maybe exaggerating a bit seeing as I didn't check on it.) Now I'm not a fan of Inu Yasha and all, but to say that Inuyasha is long can be blamed on AS for all the re-runs and breaks. Sorry to go off-topic. I mean, that fact right there doesn't bother me near as much as the fact that they drug out the Frieza Saga so badly that I thought I would lose my mind. Seriously, how in the hell they drug out 5 minutes of fighting and talking into a 30 minute episode i'll never know.

Inu Yasha does have 167 episodes. I was just making a REALLY approximate estimation. I sorta just rounded off to the nearest 100. :animeswea As for those other shows, I think they're too long too, which is probably why I'm not that into them. I guess I just prefer the shorter series. Ok, a little off topic, but I'm done.
Aaryanna
One series I would like to see partially redone is Case Closed. Now the ironic part is I think the animation and actually episodes are done just fine. What I don?t care for is how the initial plot of Conan needing to search for the
Men in Black
may as well not even exist as a huge percentage of the episodes seem to have nothing to do with tracking them down. It?s a toss up as I enjoy the solving mysteries aspect of the show, but I?d like to see a bit more action in regards to what turned him into a
kid in the first place.
I mean there are 458 episodes and 11 movies along with several OVA?s. It just seems like they never intend to provide any type of closure or ending to this show. :animesigh Though if they would just step up the process of bringing more of the episodes to the US I'd probably be happy with just that. Horendithas
I agree with you about Case Closed. I enjoy that series, as it really is fun to watch. The way it?s done with little details being right there in plain sight to help you solve the clues is very well done. But like you said they?ve been needlessly dragging it out with filler episodes due to its popularity over in Japan. I?ve read some of the manga to this show as well and I?ve run into inconsistencies in that there are episodes that in the manga they actually did deal with the
Men in Black
aspect of the show, but the anime version was changed making it an individual case instead. Something that I would imagine was done to keep the series running. I too wish they would quite dragging it out and finally end it. As much as I enjoy it, the idea of having to watch over 400 episodes and possibly 500 at the rate it is going, is enough to make me throw my hands up in disgust and go watch something else. So I'd like to see some of the filler episodes trimmed out and the ones that were modified put right. And most importantly end it instead of making even more pointless filler episodes.
2010DigitalBoy
Boogiepop Phantom was an amazing series, but there are certain things I wish they would've done with it. The most major thing I wish they would've done is span out the parts with fum-fum a little more. We do see the little butterfly girl throughout the series, but the story with fum-fum seemed to be all crammed into the upper half of the series. Like the first half was all totally different stories with small connections, while the second half was all very heavily connected. I think they should've mixed it up a bit more. Also, the episode about the girl
who was killed
and her mom
reads the diary
seemed sort of useless. It was good, but I think they should've made it tie in better with the rest of the plots.
Keep in mind that not everyone has seen the series as much as you have. If you don't hide plot elements with spoiler tags, you might ruin the series for someone who is about to watch it. -r2

kaiyukianime
I think they should redo Great teacher Onizuka. They cut out all of the important stuff from the manga tht was important! -_- Also they should redo Naruto in english! They cut out most of the blood and the Naruto Sasuke Kiss! :animecry: Their voices suck! I also believe that Inuyasha shouldn't have been so long!! It drags on for too long!!! Also Witch Hunter Robin should be made all over again!! It sucks!! The story doesn't really come until the last 3 disks. But before that it's boring! Saiyuki RELOAD Should be redone in english! They changed the voices all of a sudden!!! -------------Well I better stop for now I'm in class so I'll continue later!----------------
darkstorm123232
I agree Saiyuke Reload should be redone because it is just not finished in engilsh as you stated above so the other animes that i think sould be redone is Mirage of Blaze Silent Mobius Shadow Skill These animes weren't complete so they really weren't good to finish. ~Dark~
darkstorm123232, simply listing some shows without bothering to explain why you think they need to be remade, revised or redone is spam. Tallgeese-
I don't really think I want it remade, I kind of want Fist of the North Star to come out on DvD ( not the movie, the 2 series) drawn like the movie. =]
shadowmovement
tenchi muyo the Ryo oh ki series should be revised. that was one of my favorite series and the just left it. were they ended it they could have continued it on for a lot longer. but they just dropped it.
