Ah yes, the new Kenshin OAV.

I watched the first episode of the new Kenshin OAV (of unknown volumes as far as I know) it was pretty good.

I will sumarize it for you, but I guess it may be a spoiler... not really since not much new is stated in this OAV So scroll down to read, if not, exit now.

I'm not exactly sure what has happened. It kinda goes from present to flash backs and back again through out the episode itself. It starts out where the series left off, except a few years ahead... Yahiko is now much stronger, Kaoru has grown older, and Kenshin, well he's no where to be found... And you all know how Kaoru is... Kenshin leaves, she's absolutely devistated and worried about him... which leads to a deep depression and she thinks back into the past. It goes over Kenshin and some of his battles... with Jin-E, Shishio, Soujiro, and then at the end her flash back is with something not seen in the series... Enishi. If any of you have seen the series, particularly the first OAV, you know who Enishi is... Tomoe's (Kenshin's first wife) brother. She was killed in the past and Enishi is after revenge on her death, and the person who killed her... Kenshin. If any of you have read the manga, this is what they didn't animate. For some ungodly reason, they decided to not anime the Revenge Arc, with Anishi, and animate something not in the Manga, the Shoujou (I think) Arc with the religious dude and all that crap (which overall was a horrid saga).. well My guess is that this new OAV goes back into the Revenge Arc.... hopefully :) Which is a GREAT saga. It's my favorite and at the end of this particular episode, you see a shadowy figure walking behind Kaoru, who has fallen to the ground on her knees... she turned around and then a close up of the shadowy figure is none other than Enishi with an evil smirk... and he grabs her and end scene. I won't ruin the rest of it, if you've read the manga you know what happens.

Maybe this OAV will go over that saga and possibly start a new story relating to it. Which would be cool :) We'll have to see when the next Volume of the new Kenshin OAV comes out. I'll be sure to post it then. If anyone can find it, I hightly suggest you watch it. If you are a Kenshin fan, like myself, you won't be disappointed.

CCCCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLL, I WANNA HAVE IT, but in belgium they don't sell in much shops those DVD's, so, it could take a while when it's here in a mangashop. GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Maybe i should go look first after the manga of the Enishi sage. Because i wanna have that toooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!. ^-^:haha:
I founded yesterday an pretty pic of the calender of the movie, with Kenshin, Kenji, Yahiko and Hiko, Hiko is very cute. And Yahiko too. Hiko looks much younger in the movie then in the Serie's, wich is cool i think. :)
And Kenji is just Shinta(Kenshin when he was little). that's pretty cool too. :)

Yeah, thats what the new OAV is about. And thats the anime style it's drawn in, Which I like myself. It's the anime style all new anime, this year, is drawn in.

As for when it may come to the US, not sure... they are still releasing the Kyoto Saga in the US on DVD at the moment. SO they probably won't release the new OAV till they finish it in Japan. Theyw ould have to dub it first too. Probably a year, maybe half a year before they do that I would imagine. If I get anymore news, I'll post it up.

The thing that attracts me is not the character, not the fighting scene(okay, I really like them fighting), It's the story. It really explains a lot. Before I know the OAV, I see japanese samurais as murderers or mercenaries, the Ninjas as spies. After I watched it, I understand. The best part is when Kenshin explains about the techniques, slowly. I can fully understand how the move works... not just watching it and gawk at the impossible move as it's being done. And also the funny parts, the classic anime fall and such.... It balances between everything, love, action, polotics, jokes etc....
