Guest satansam
Bit of a silly one this. I'm 20 now, but when I was about 7-10 years old I used to frequently rent out a video, way before I knew what anime or anything was. I've been trying to hunt it down for the last 4 years but with no luck at all. I knew this place would have answers and foolishly thought I could find it myself :D Anyways. I first thought it was Tekkaman (though it still might be) then I thought it was Eagle Riders/Gachaman or something. But the title sequence doesn't match up. Anyways - the key things I remember! There was an episode called the Flying Dutchman. The 'Team' as it were took a holiday on a cruise ship and it got mixed up with some ghostship. All I can really remember about this episode is the ship coming out of the mist and the name. Another episode saw them on some dinosaur island (I think). They were climbing up some mountain. I think the enemy was on the island too, both were in huge ships that either walked or hovered above the ground. I think someone got trapped in a cave? Probably the most important episode was (I think) a film. It was about 3 eggs that were launched from a moon base, one had a crab inside, one had a grass hopper/prayer mantis and the other was either 2 or 3 headed dragon. I think they befriended a robot who died whilst fighting the dragon. The film climaxed on the moon base. I forget the rest! The title sequence started off with a view from inside some big space ship, to see some kind of door open up and their individual space ships fly out towards earth. I even think it played some kind of classical music which turned into a theme (this is very foggy). Any help would be so massively appreciated! This is the last show I used to watch as a kid and I would absolutely love to know what it actually was! Thanks folks :)
Shaholl
Well, I can definitely tell you that it is not Tekkeman. I have the series on DVD and none of what you posted matches up to any of the episodes that I have seen. I haven't had a chance to see Gatchaman or Eagle Riders, so it is a distinct possibility that it's either of those. Of course, it could be something completely different.
