Anime Beck

It's probably one of my favorite anime right now and to me is pretty cool, mainly because of one interesting cool point, which would be the Kurt Cobaine tribute in the ending theme of the anime. Anyway's it's a pretty cool anime. And here's a description of it for those who have not yet seen nor heard of this anime. Yukio Tanaka is your average and boring 14 year old Japanese youth. His life is nothing to be proud of. He seems to have the worst luck with girls, and his existence seems pretty unexciting. Yukio seriously wants to escape adolescence and make his life better. However, his luck changes when he saves the life of a strange and mismatched Frankenstein-like dog named Beck, who is owned by a famous guitarist named Ryuusuke Minami. So, anyways, there's a short description of this anime. So, what do you think of Beck?[/COLOR][/SIZE]

I've just started watching this show on Much Music (Canada) lately. Pretty good show. I really like the musical aspect of it, and the fact that the main theme of the show is music. Which is, I suppose, why it's playing on a music channel. :animeswea

Anyway, at first I thought the animation in this show seemed rather sloppy, but... I don't think it really is. It seems to have grown on me. It's kind of this unique sort of style that seems kind of weird... but then it grows on you, and you realise it's not as bad as you initially thought. Gah... That was a horrible explanation. I apologize. :animeswea What does everybody else think of the animation style???

I find the opening very entertaining. It's very interesting to watch, and I think it just looks so cool when the characters sing along to the song. Heh heh.

I've been watching the dub (obviously), and I think it's pretty good. No major complaints about the dub.

Also, I love all the references to Classic English Rock, since I'm a fan myself. :D

Cool show, overall. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest.

I watched Beck, the Mongolian Chop Squad on Hero TV (Philippines) & on one site, sorry I don't remember where to get those episodes.

I really love Beck, just as it is, talking about life as a rock band icon, comparing to present rockers like Green Day, Good Charlotte, etc. Rock on! :cool:

[CENTER][COLOR="DarkOrange"][FONT="Fixedsys"]I don't know if there's a threrad of this put it never hurts to try I have been watching one of the new anime's that caught my eye, BECK a Musical anime not like singing & junk during the show it's about Rock & stuff main character's name is Yukio (Koyuki) Tanaka who come's across a dude (& a wierd looking dog) that changes his 14 year old like I just picked up the 2nd Dvd & love it alot evan more Im a guitarist & this anime motavates me evan more on my work I have to ask "What do you think of BECK?"[/FONT][/COLOR][/CENTER]
