mangamaniack21
I hope that everyone's thanksgiving was good don't you? I actually lived *hallahueah* I can't belived i survived my grandmom's turkey... Anyways, peoples ate my cake and none of it was left at the end of the meal. I usually perfer a nice, juicy succelnt turky (yuuum) to the dry one that i got. Also, i survived what my dad calls 'death potatoes' which had a whole heck of a lot of garlick and onion. Also, we exchanged stories that somehow made its way to peoples catching things such as their shirts on fire. I was online in my grandmother's computer room, and not many peoples noticed my absence ^_^.
Allamorph
I would hardly sue you, but I would ask just how you cook your turkey and offer some advise. ;) Turkey has always been a pain to properly prepare so that it?s loaded with lots of flavor and nice and juicy. There are some easy tricks that if you haven?t tried them yet, I would highly recommend....
Gracías, señora. Though I don't actually prepare the bird myself (I consider it somewhat insulting to cook under someone else's roof unless invited), I shall certainly offer your tips to whomever I can. I'm sure they will be proven against my rather...particular pallete. Once again, thank you. -A

pooperson
This year, my Turkey Day was not a Turkey Day. In fact, my immediate family has not eaten turkey on Thanksgiving in years. Usually, we substitute it for ham or chicken, but due to my getting my wisdom teeth out on Monday, we chose pizza instead this year. However, we do not just order out. We make our own pizza, and it's a good time, really. And it tastes awesome. Then for desert we had ice cream. Simple enough, really. On Friday we went to my grandparents' house for the turkey. Then on Saturday we were supposed to visit with the large Latvian side of the family, but my dad wasn't feeling well, so we stayed home. And of course, on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday I had/have to work at a sports bar. Did you have any idea the number of people who eat out right after holidays? It's crazy. As much as I loved my mother when she was still around, she couldn't cook a turkey to save her life. My father was the one who always did the cooking. He was rather fond of his food and he did an excellent job preparing it.
This thread is like so 2 days ago.[/SIZE']
Perhaps, but it's still fun to hear about how others celebrate Thanksgiving. As for the turkey side, my family also prepares it for Christmas day so it's something we have as part of our feast for both holidays.
Did you have any idea the number of people who eat out right after holidays? It's crazy.
Goodness, I wouldn't say it's crazy, rather that its absolutely wonderful to let someone else do the cooking after spending several days preparing a huge feast for family and friends. I've done it plenty of times in the past. Especially on the two days of crazy shopping after Thanksgiving. It's nice with all the hustle and bustle to simply pick something up on the way home. Because at that point its nice to not even have to fight the fridge to get the leftovers out, fix a plate and then to refit everything back in the fridge. ;) I leave that to the hungry teenagers and the more energetic friends and family who visit as well.
