Gaming Dynasty Warriors: Is it Your Game?

I have been Dynasty Warriors for a while now and I dont know what it is but everytime I play the game I get so pumped up. From the music to destroying soldiers all the time I'm filled with the excitment of actually being there. The story line of each character has it'd own twist. So I ask you who is your favorite character and why? And also what is your favorite song on the game?

My favorite character is Ma Chao, the fighter of justice. He was born in Xi Liang and fought for his father until Cao Cao killed him. Ma Chao then took a vow of Vengence, clouded by anger. Later he joined Lui Bei where he became A Tiger General and won many battles. No can defeat this warrior. He is TRUE JUSTICE!!

[FONT=Times New Roman]I could never "get into" Dynasty Warriors. To me it's just hack 'n' slash, and without at the very least, multiplayer; that's very uninteresting for me.

BUT, my sister's friend loves the Dynasty Warrior series, probably because he claims to have Chinese blood (he's African American), and is very into Chinese culture.[/FONT]

I personally love Dynasty Warriors. My friend does the English voice work for Liu Bei. I am actually cosplaying Sun Shang Xiang for Sakura-con next spring. Needless to say my favorite character is Sun Shang Xiang.

I know it's not a game for everyone but I do enjoy it. I prefer it to Samurai Warriors. I'm not sure if it's because of the massive amounts of soldiers you can wipe out during a mission, trampling people down with an elephant or what it is, but I find the game enjoyable. :animesmil

In addition though I'd like to say that even now, I still play the games. I can honestly see where people come from when they call it mindless hack and slash and how it can get redundant...but for some reason I can always enjoy playing them, more so with the empires games. But I still love ROTKX, I just wish they had a scenario that mixes the areas up randomly like in the DW: Empires games, rather then just create your kingdom in one of the open areas for each scenario.
