Epsilon
If no one has yet requested permisson / selected the topic of Using Layers tutorial, I'd be happy to create one. Being color chanllenged, I also have a request. Within Adobe PhotoShop and various other programs, like OpenCanavs, there is the the Image > Adjustment options. If anyone has enough knowledge upon how to use any of these options for changing the various color levels. cancer
I'd like to request a tutorial on mirroring images. Everytime I try to copy text or an image, and then flip the copied image, it just flips the whole thing. Thanks.
Boo
How about you copy it to a new canvas and then flip it, after which you paste it back on the image?
Riku
If no one else is up to it, I'd like to do the Adjusting Colour Levels Tutorial as how I always use those in my pieces. It seems like fun and I'd like to show others what the different choices do. I love to use these because they're fun and they add a great deal of detail to your works if you use them properly. Anyways, I guess if people are giving requests for tuts, I'd like to ask for a tutorial that shows us how to do neat things to your text to make it stand out more instead of just leaving it the way it is if that's alright. Perhaps we should put up a thread where member can ask questions that have one-step solutions just like this. Yeah, and it could double as a request thread as well!
cancer
Thanks Delta, your solution worked perfectly. I'd like to make a request on making images that are animated. I think you save multiple images, and then in ImageReady or Flash you can make them animate so the image moves. Im not sure how to do this though. Delta
Hello again, dear fellows! Due to circumstances not unfamiliar to students cramming their theses and research papers, I will be unable to visit Art Studio and take care of this project. That's why to keep this project from dying young, I am in need of 2 members who can oversee the requests and tutorials until I get back. Please PM me if you wish to apply.
Ellerby
Alright, my tutorial is up. And it was fun. I'll do animated images if nobody else will. I also motion for this to be stickied. :)

Riku
Since Delta is away for awhile because of certian things, she has appointed me as the Tutorial Bouncer until she comes back. So, since I can't really edit the first post, I guess I'll just put what's in progress now, ne? Tekkaman
I just wanna say that this idea of a Photoshop tutorial is great and i've already read all the current tutorials that have been made. Thank you all for your (future) contributions, I think I speak for the rest of the Photoshop beginners when I say that this is exactly what we were looking for!

If it's going to be stickied, the tutorials need to be of good quality and the index should be comprehensive. Until I feel that's the case, the thread will remain as-is. Does that seem fair? Delta
It would be unwise to sticky this thread now 'cause things tend to be ignored up there in the sticky box. (XP) I would also like to monitor this thread's progress and popularity; nothing says "This thing needs a revamp" more than falling out of the first page. Worry not, White. With all the wonderful tutorials everyone has put up in the span of two weeks, I am confident that this little project will last more than two months. Oh btw, the Pen Tool tutorial will be up before Sunday. Look forward to it! Also, if you have a good trick you want to share, don't wait for a request! Feel free to put it up! PS: Thanks and good luck to my dear deputy, KW!
Ellerby
I've decided I would like to create a tutorial on how to make patterns. Particularly the popular diagonal effect. I would also like to request a tutorial. And this may be a little specific but I would love to know how to make those lovely backgrounds jigglyness does oh-so-well. cancer
Delta, I requested a topic earlier for animated images. Anyway, I would also like to make a different kind of request. Instead of having someone show how to do one certain technique, I'd love to see someone who is very familiar with Photoshop take a complex image from www.choleraart.com and show step by step how to create the image. It would really help people a lot, I think. I know it would be helpful to me for sure. So here are my two requests: Animated Images Step-By-Step Cholera Design
Retribution
Not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but what's with the cholera art obsession? It seems to me as if it's largely based in drawing abstract figures, not so much Photoshop techniques.
cancer
Ah, but Retribution, 'tis not the drawing that I need help with. I'm curious to know how he gets his images colored and such so well, while keeping his brushes (which would be the images he drew) so bold and keeping all the lines visible. See how he has many lines and such in some of his images, and they're still colored differently throughout the image, and yet he doesnt brush over the lines or anything. I'm just not sure how he does that is basically my only real concern. That's the reason I wish to see someone create something like that step-by-step. It would help me a lot in understanding the process of making complex designs like that. Those are the types of designs I try to create for bands. [hope that wasn't too confusing]
Delta
Hey cancer! Thank you for providing a link to that wonderful site. I'm sure a lot of members interested in graphic design (I myself including) would like to know how to make some of the images on choleraart as well. However, I believe that a single tutorial cannot cover all the techniques he/she/it used in his/her/its artworks. Also, if it were possible to make one, I fear that it would go unanswered (unless, of course, the artist of choleraart is a member of this forum and wishes to divulges his/her/its trade secrets to the general public). What our fellows here in OtakuBoards can provide though are tutorials about certain effects. Perhaps we should start small and make requests for particular techniques, yeah? For example, you could try requesting a coloring tutorial that will simulate the paint spray in this picture. That's something a lot of us here can do so chances of your request being fulfilled are relatively better. ;D
