Gaming Memory Lane

Hi everyone i was taking a trip down memory lane playing some of my old consoles you know sega genesis, SNES , and was wondering if video games have lost their way with all the insanity over the PS3 and wii and xbox360 it seems like the companies really don't care about the customers anymore don't get me wrong i know with all the stuff they put on these new consoles it make it harder for the companies to make them but also makes it where you can't afford them. I mean have you ever noticed like everyone was able to get a Genesis, SNES, saturn, dreamcast, or even a playstation back then.when it seemed like with all the old console it was more about having fun with the games but now with Video games consoles does it seems like it about how much Money you can spend then having fun with the games i mean even adding online play shouldn't cost that much. if so fell feel to state your opinions.

[color=#d2b43b][SIZE=1][FONT=Trebuchet MS]Meh, well first off it was obvious that there was going to be a price increase over the years because with more time there becomes more capabilities, yet to meet these capabilities you need newer technology, and with this new technology you will need more money to produce it. So yeah about the whole money things that was inevitable. I mean if you can compare with what you could get with a PS compared with what you can get with a PS3 the differences are obvious.

Oh and and about pleasing the people more than making money part, at this point it really doesnt matter anymore. I bet that if a brand new system was released that cost just as much as the $599.99 version of the PS3 and had graphics, gameplay and so on that were similar to the PS3. It wouldn't have been able to sell as well as the PS3 did at launch because of all of the Sony fans already. Because Sony has games that are only available on the PS3 which will force people to buy it. The same goes for the Wii and the 360, because they have fans of their games, no matter what the price of the system or the game, people will still buy it.[/FONT][/SIZE][/COLOR]
