The second one is with her edited into my original banner like Charles suggested. I did it so you could see the whole outfit since you can't in the first one. ^_~

Agreed. We always have conventional holiday banners. That weird-looking dog would be infinitely more entertaining than some whiz-bang technically impressive banner. Aaryanna, I love how the dog is floating there in the second banner. It's so creepy!

This holiday season, let Christmas go to the dogs! Or to the black people! But definitely one of them!

So far, despite there being a lot of good candidates, none of the banners have struck me to be one that I'd [I]definitely[/I] want to see on top of the site. Perhaps it really is the lack of cats in them... :/

I?ve made version two of the one where I edited Aaryanna into the picture to include our cat as well.

With NO inspiration and the deadline coming, I decided to whore out to my best friend and use one of her pictures (of which I CGed). It's essentially her 'snow fairy', which I used merely for the fact that it's cute and has little shiny puff balls for earmuffs.

As for the Coca Cola reference, well that's the one most people have grown up knowing, as opposed to [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Nicholas]Saint Nicholas[/url] from whom it's derived. Maybe it's just me, but I've never seen Santa as being creepy in any way, despite the obvious ways in which he could be interpreted as creepy.[/SIZE]

Besides, the two images are both the same style. The banner reminded me more of a Sovjet propaganda poster, but this Mao guy works as well.[/size]

I've chosen one of White's banners, as I felt it most-suited the boards in terms of layout/colour/etc. But I have to say, there were quite a few great entries here (Delta's, for example, was a pretty unique and colourful take on a Christmas theme - I thought that was very cool).

[font=arial]Considering that there weren't many entries for the Liquid theme (and given that the Liquid theme is used by the majority of members), I thought it'd be very difficult to get enough submissions for the Geisha theme. I'm sure we can do something for that theme in the future though. It's kind of been left out - it actually needs a lot of heavy updating, I'm not happy with it at all.[/font]
