cancer
I really am not positive about the heritage of my family, and I'm really curious to find out where they came from. So I'd like to find out, but I don't want to pay some website to find out. Does anyone know a good website or method of finding out where your family members came from? And don't say ask relatives, because that part is obvious, = p I hope this thread can benefit everyone interested in this topic. Thanks.
Aaryanna_Mom
Genealogy is like a second job for a lot of LDS members and as a result the church has a wonderful site where you can access all of the records they have for free. It?s a great place to start as the site has the largest collection of free family history, family tree and genealogy records in the world. Here?s the link: Genealogy Hope that helps. :catgirl:
Mr. Maul
In the style of Charles... Anyhoo, my family's really big on family history and genealogy. An excellent source would be libraries with microfilm (things), also there's a program called Family Tree Maker which is very useful for sorting things out. Hope I helped. DeadSeraphim
In the style of Charles...[/size']
The kind of information those genealogy sites provide is received by them trawling through public records, which you could do as well. Of course, that's boring, tiring, and not even a sure thing, which is why genealogy websites make so much cash - it's easier to pay someone else to do it than attempt it solo. Good luck, bro.
