Katsura was looking through the clouds watching humans live their daily lives when Aria charged right on in.

"Katsura, soemthing strange has happened!" she shouted.

"What is it now?" asked Katsura.

"Someone died."

"So many people die. There's nothing new about that. I told you to tell me if there was anything interesting, come to me."

"But the one who died; he was a half angel and half demon."

Katsura looked at Aria with shocked eyes.

"Who else know about this?!" Katsura yelled.

"No one yet. Only us," Aria explained.

This is impossible. How could this happpen? Ahh... Mahiru! Wish you had explained things much better to me! Katsura thought.

She stood up slowly. "Do you know where he is now?"

"No sorry."

"He must not take sides with the demons or that would be disaster. I must find him! Make sure Nobody finds out."

"Done," Aria said as she saw Katsura walk out.

After hearing what Katsura told her, she went down to see if she could find the one who was the half breed. After a couple of hours she found him. "Excuse me, you wouldn't happen to know if you're half angel half demon would you?" she asked a boy who had black hair and a sword in black.

"No, I don't. I'm sorry," he said.

"Thanks. Well, I have to run. Bye." With that, she walked away without knowing that he was the one they were looking for.

Iceykis looked around this seemingly divine place with utter astonishment and fear.
"I pray that whatever power that I possesed save my family", he said as he prayed to himself. He continued to look around searching nervously for his family but didn't find them.
"Thank the gods they're safe, but I guess I didn't make it....", he said with a shaky voice. He then continued looking around his new surrondings.

Katsura looked frantically for the boy that was a half-breed. She saw a boy and noticed that they had something in common. She walked over to him and asked, "Are you by any chance a half-breed?"

"Well I don't know about a half-breed but you don't happen to be Katsura?" asked the boy.

"Yes I am. What's your name by the way?" She knew that this boy was the half-breed that she was looking for.

"My name? It's Zane."

"Well Zane, welcome to the heavens."

Tara walked along an alley than ran between two skyscrapers. A thunderstorm was raging through this part of the city, but one of the skyscrapers shielded Tara from the rain and wind. It was daytime in the city, but with the thunderhead blocking most of the sunlight, it felt a lot like night had fallen early.

Soon enough, Tara came upon a park. It was dark as night there, but apparently the city hadn't bothered to turn the lights. However, it was raining heavily because of the storm. Because of this, Tara took caution to it, so she took out the little black "wand" she carried around--the one she knew could be an elaborate weapon at times. But this time, she used it just like an ordinary wand, for she pointed it at the ground and spun around slowly--thus forming a faintly glowing blue ring on the ground around her. When this was complete, she held up the wand as if it was a microphone--but instead of singing into it, she spoke to it, a whispered incatation...
"Kito kata."
Immediately, Tara lifted the wand above her head, where from its tip erupted a circle of black flame which lay directly on top of the circle on the ground.

As Tara walked through the park, the flames didn't burn anything. Instead, they prevented Tara from getting wet and also made the area around her seem slightly darker. Anyways, after a bit more walking, Tara saw a man sitting on a patio sheltered from the rain because it was part of one of the skyscrapers that surrounded the park. Maybe he just needed fresh air and/or time alone.
Hmmm... Tara thought. I wonder...

As the man sat there, about to take a sip at his coffee cup, he suddenly noticed that it began to get darker. This continued till he couldn't see anything at all.
"What the..." the man started to say. Then he saw something: his reflection in a small mirror that suddenly appeared in front of him. The man kept his eyes fixed on his own face, as he didn't really have much else to look at. But after a few moments, the face in the mirror grew lighter, more beautiful... and a halo appeared above his head.

Tara immediately put the mirror away again after seeing this, a look of disgust on her face. And the man watched her walk away, staring blankly at this girl with a ring of black flame above her head...

A while later, Tara was casually walking around the underworld, the place where all the demons met to discuss their plans. Now, she was pacing back and forth across a door which lead to a large, crowded room. At the end of this room, a couple of demons stood there, and a bunch of other demons that looked like they could be slaves scampered around in front of them. A young-looking demoness with short black and blue hair sat in what looked like it could have been a throne at the far end of the room, watching the slaves at work. Tara occasionally glanced at her as she walked past the door, and the looks she gave her weren't that pleasant.
Mori, Tara thought. The leader of the demon race. Hell knows how she ever rose to power... but I guess someone has to be the leader.
This is clearly what Tara got for not have the desire to lead. But what would Tara want with a leading role anyway? She was not at all a people person--in fact she was just the opposite. Many of the other demons knew of her cold-hearted and sadistic nature, and often preffered not to work with her. This was fine, as Tara often preferred to work alone.

"Tara," a more noble-looking demon said to her. "So, what have you gotten accomplished today? Killed anyone, I presume?"
For the demon knew that Tara loved to kill people--especially angels.
"Apparently the angels do not like fierce weather such as the thunderstorm going on above," Tara replied. "I almost killed one man I found, but after seeing that he would surely become an angel after he died, I decided against it... So therefore I wish him a long and worthless life."

OOC: I spent three minutes deciding whether to use an incantation that meant "black fire", "dark fire", or "demon fire"--and ended up using the second. :rolleyes:

Sean looked around the room and sighed. He hated how everyone seemed to love talking to each other. "Looks like someone may get a little burned." He cracked a sly smile as he watched some fat guy working on a power box in the corner of the room.

"So long my fine fellowed freind." He said with alot of sarcasm in his voice. He walked next to the man and put his hand on his shoulder. A few seconds later, sparks started to fly out of thye box, then smoke came off of the mans dead body.

"He should have worn gloves." He laughed as he vanished into the earth and then appeared in the room with hundreds of other demons. "Shit, its the same damn thing here too. Too many creatures wanting to socialize." He spat on the ground as he heard someone laugh behind him.

"Shut up you only complain because people and demons alike wont talk to you for ten minutes." Sean turned around to see a short blackhaird girl looking at him.

"Shut up Tara. They may not talk to me, but seem to all the time." He smirked as he took a step closer to her. She raised her hand and stoped him.

"Knock it off. We both know that I really don't like you that much." She glared at him then turned around. "So will you please stop trying to seduce me, or whatever you call it." She started to walk away as Sean caught up to her and started walking beside her.

"ALright, truce, for now. So, heard anything special around here? Its getting a little bored." He smiled as she glanced at him.

Kane saw the black haired girl glance at her, curiosity Kane thought. 'She has the smell of angel blood on her...' Kane noticed.

She smiled evilly,"I think I like her.." She muttered to herself. In the meantime she saw a couple lower demons slacking off. She created a whip of flames.

"Keep moving! " She said as she brought down the whip.

Iceykis looked around when suddenly he saw for a quick second his hand glowing a light-blue color.
"What was that...oh wait...I remember now...from earlier...that power I had", he said focusing hard on his hands.
"Maybe I can....", he stopped as he noticed his hands turning that same blue color from before but he could now feel it as if wind was blowing up against his hands.
"Wow, this feels really great...but I guess this same power also killed me and save them", he said with a bitter-sweet smile.
"But since I'm here at this sacred place and has been blessed with these wonderous powers there must be some type of ultimate meaning to all of this", he said curiusly.

Heaven? Oh yeah, the war.Thought Zane to himself. "So this is Heaven?" Zane asked Katsura. "That's right. You died and so now you're in heaven."Katsura replied.
"So what were you saying about half breeds?" Zane asked. Katsura explained about the demons, angels, and the half breed name Mahiru. She explained about how Mahiru had died in a war and the two races of demons and angles had died until Mahiru's spirit had entered Katsura's body when she died in a plane crash.
"So now, you and I are both half breeds?" Zane asked.
"You are correct." replied Katsura.

Tara finally looked at Sean, her expression cold.
"We are planning an attack on the angels," Tara explained, her fairly angry tone of voice becoming most notable on the last word. "You might want to watch who you kill."
"What do you mean?" Sean asked.
"From the looks of things, you just killed someone. Did you even bother to consider what he might become after he dies?"
"Um..."
"You see, there are fates worse than death. In our case, the death of a victim can be either in our favour or our enemies' favour. To put it simply, when a mortal person dies, he can become a demon, but there is also the possibility that he'll become an angel."
"And how am I supposed to know which one it is?" Sean retorted, though trying not to sound too harsh.
Tara smirked. "That takes a bit of experience." Then she walked away, spinning her little mirror on her fingertip.

* * *

A while later, Tara was sitting in her room, a small, dark room lit only by a torch containing a black flame. Below this single light source was a sort of altar, the same one she had in her mortal life. In front of it was a rug which Tara sat at the edge of. A bunch of cards were spread out on the rug.
"And now, the time has come to reveal this perception of what is to come. How will I fare n this war between the demons and the angels?"
And with that Tara turned over one of the cards.
"Hmm... This card is supposed to be about myself, but it indicates someone under the sign of Gemini. But in my life, I was born in November, so that can't... Wait. I know what this means. I may have been born then, but I died on June 6, which is during the time of Gemini. Heh, this means that I should be more concerned with my afterlife than my life. Perfect."

Tara turned over a few more cards until she turned over one that was supposed to show what happened in the past.
"Death!" Tara noted the card she just turned over. "How appropriate, considering this war could not have started without all those people dying."
Then she turned over a card which was supposed to indicate her hopes and/or fears. As soon as she did, she slapped the card violently.
"Those damn angels!! Of course, if there's anything I fear, it is their victory!"
Finally she turned over a card that was supposed to indicate the outcome of her influence on the war. She looked a little puzzled as she held the card up closer.
"An increase. But in what?"

Tara put the cards away and left the room.
Too bad I didn't ask who would win the war. But if I did, that would spoil all the fun.
"Where are you going?" Sean asked as she passed him again.
"To find a human that is more like a demon."

Sean watched her pass, then let out a big sigh and smiled, "Damn you girl, hey wait up, I want to come along. I want to see how you tell who is going to be a demon and who an angel." He ran up to her and put his hands on his head and looked down at her.

"What do you want?" She didn't even bother looking up at him, but kept her normal pace. She came to a room and stopped, Sean right next to her looking at the door.

"I am coming along with you. So, who are you going for?" Sean asked, opening the door for her and letting her go first.

"I want to find another demon. Why, do you want to come along, you are really that into me aren't you?" SHe cocked her head twards him, a small look of disgust in her eyes.

"Something like that. You intrest me. Something about you really gets my soul wild, in a way of speaking." He smiled and looked over to his right. He gavea small smirk and tapped Tara on the shoulder. She stopped and turned to him in the blink of an eye.

"What, what do you want? Can I not walk in peace?" Anger was growing in her voice and she was not letting it hide deep inside, she let it out, well most of it.

"That fat guy over there. He was the one I killed this morning. Sad death really. I let his work kill him, heh." He smiled as Tara continued walking twards the gate that would let them into the mortal world. Sean was fallowing behind, but not too close.

Iceykis overheard the conversation between Zane and Katsura and started to walk towards them.
"Uh, hi guys...I'm sorry for ease-dropping but I heard you guys talking about this half-breed and exactly what does it mean to be a half-breed here", Iceykis said with a slighly nervous voice.

Aria ran around the mortal world trying to find the half breed. She couldn't find him so she went to Katsura and found her talking to the boy she met earlier. "Hey, Katsura. What's up? Did you find the half breed?" she asked as she looked at Zane.

"Indeed I have. He's right here. This is Zane. And this is Aria," said Katsura as she was greeting them to each other.

"It's very nice to meet you Aria," said Zane.

"No prob, the pleasure is all mine," she said.

"Aria, Zane here is a half breed. We are hoping that he will take sides with us remember?" said Katsura.

"Yeah, I remember. So do you want to join our side of this war?" said Aria

"I'm not really sure," said Zane with a puzzled look.

"Let's just hope he doesn't become an angel and we'll be okay." Tara turned to Sean, and to his surprise she smiled, though only for a second.

"Ahh, it is night!" Tara announced as the gate opened. "And the clouds are red with the aura of evil."
"All right, so where do we look?" Sean asked.
Tara glared at him briefly before answering. We? "The best place to find a future demon is to look in a place of shadows. I suppose you are going to follow me."

Tara walked across a field and into another alley between two tall buildings. As she did so, she whipped out her wand and surrounded herself with a ring of fire.
"Katekito wenthe," Tara whispered as she again pointed her wand at the ring. The flames flickered and turned black, and they lost their warmth as well.

Tara walked a few more steps until she could faintly hear voices in the distance. Sean walked behind her, prepared for anyone who would attack him or something.
"Aah! Don't do... no.. I... unh.." came a cry in the distance.
"What, you ****ing little *******, you want me to **** some ***?" another voice said to the other. Tara waved her hand in front of her nose as if she smelled something stinky.

Finally, a shadow of a man could be made out. Tara nodded and sneaked past him, until she was just to the side of him. The man turned around, noticing someone there. What he saw was the faint outline of a girl of some sort, surrounded by a ring of black flame. This was rather queer...

Then Tara took out her Mirror of Sorrow, holding it up so it waspractically in the man's face. She also guided the ring of flames towards the mirror, so that the flames danced around it. And Tara moved around to the side of the mirror, practically leaning against the man. Sean watched her, looking puzzled.

Tara then moved closer to the man, her face right next to his, her wand pointed at the back of his left shoulder.
"That's it," Tara whispered, keeping a soothing tone of voice. "Gaze into the mirror and see your destiny..."
The man was practically spellbound--he just stared blankly into the mirror.

While this was happening, the other guy Tara and sean had heard before had become conscious again and started to get up. As he did, he saw Tara standing behind the bigger guy, holding a mirror with black flame around it in front of his face. Sean decided to keep an eye on him in case he did anything drastic, but he couldn't help keeping most of his attention on what Tara was doing.
I think I know what she's doing... Sean thought.

As the bigger man spent longer moments gazing into the mirror, he noticed that his reflected face was starting to change shape. But his skin didn't become lighter and more beautiful like the previous man Tara "inspected"--insteadit started turning a deep shade of red. His eyes turned red as well, and horns sprouted out of his head. As this happened, the man gaped, and Tara smiled at him menacingly.

Finally, Tara gently prodded the man with her wand. When she did, the black flames turned into a wisp of dark energy, which sucked itself into the man's mouth. The man became motionless at once. With that done, Tara moved her wand away from the man, spinning gracefully out of the way as the man fell backward onto the ground.

"Well, I hate to say this," Tara commented, "but I need your help. You might as well do something while you're out here. Why don't you help me carry him back into the underworld? That way he can wake up and feel right at home."

For once Sean led the way back, the dead man's body resting on his shoulders. Tara walked behind, holding up the man's feet with her hand. As the two walked out of the alley, the other man gazed at them and stammered, though no words could be made out. Tara looked back at him and winked.
"No use killing him," Tara said as she and Sean continued on back to the gate. "Even if he did become a demon, he probably wouldn't be of much use."

"Well, you see here, Iceykis, Zane is a half-breed meaning that he is very special and vital for both races. Demons and Angels. If he and or me die, then it's over between both worlds. There won't be any heaven or hell. Just the mortal world and when people die, they disappear. It complicated so don't tell anyone. Aria, make sure that the demons don't find out about Zane or they will come a take him and provoke him into the demon side," said Katsura.

"Yes, ma'am. I'll make sure that no demons come near Zane at all cost," replied Aria.

"Okay. If you guys don't mind I need to leave for a while. I'll be back so don't worry too much," said Katsura leaving the group and then disappeared.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Katsura went down into the mortal world to watch what was happening. She went over to her mother's and father's graves. She leaned over them and was sad to see at how young they died and how young she was when they died. No one could see her so she had used some of her magic to create her mother's and father's favorite flowers. She placed them on their graves and cleaned up the place to make it clean. She also placed some of their favorite foods.
"Hi mom. Hi dad. It's good to see you again. I can't believe that I haven't seen you guys in heaven. Oh, right. I get it. You two couldn't since there was no heaven until I died. So that means that you both are gone forever. I...*sniff* can't believe that you guys are gone," said Katsura. She started crying at how she couldn't do anything to save them. "I'm pathetic arent' I? I mean you guys are *sniff* probably gone forever and I'm able to be in heaven because I have Mahiru inside me which makes me a half-breed. Well wherever you two are, I just hope that you two are happy. With that thought in my mind, it makes me have a little hope that I'll see you guys again someday."
Katsura stood up and walked arond her neighborhood where she used to live. It was a quiet and peaceful town that was very poor. She walked the empty streets and sat down on a bench which was nearby a park and watched as kids played with their moms and dads.
Sean walked up the gate and stopped. He set the mans body down then turned to Tara. "Well, thank you for the wonderful insight on how you do your job. Its not my style, but if you ever need any help, please, let me know." He smiled as she spat on the ground.
"Yeah, I will, probably not though." She glared at him as he walked past her. "And where are you going? You aren't going to help me get him all the way down there?" She pointed at the man then crossed her hands over her chest as he slowly turned around.
"Well, normally I would, but something came up. I have some important things to take care of. But, I am glad you asked. Heh, maybe you really do like me somewhere inside that cold outer shell of yours." He winked at her before vanishing in a lightning bolt.
A few moments later he came back in another bolt behind a building. AS he looked around, he noticed something. There was a light figure sitting on a bench near a park. He got a eicked smirk and walked over next to the bench.
"Who are you, and why are you here?" The girl said, standing up, glaring at him. She cleched her fist as stood up straight, facing him.
"Are you really sure you want to do that here? All of those children would probable be killed. You know I probable don't care, but it would not be too good for you." He cocked his head twards her. He signaled her to fallow him as he led her to the rooftop of a near building.
"What is it that you want, demon?" She had a nasty look on her face.
"Thats not the nicest thing I thought angels would say, but oh well. Tell me something, what are you doing here? Why have I been seeing more and more of your type around?" He frowned as he said it, then brushed his hand through his hair.
"Whats it to you? We are doing the same thing as we are always doing." She took a step closer to him, one hand glowing black, the other white.
"Well, you have given me more information that you even know about, oh and to let you know something about me, you remind me of someone. You will not scare me with the litte power tricks, if that is what you are doing. The one that I care about a little bit has wanted to kill me, well, to get rid of me, haha. Thank you agian, angel." He turned around and waved his hand as he vanished in another lightning bolt, headed back to the underworld.
Katsura was very concerned at what the demon said. She wondered what she thought he meant when he said, "Well, you have given me more information that you even know about."
"I wonder what he meant by that. He must already know that I'm half-demon, half- angel. But why would he want to know why I was down here. It really is nothing that he needs to poke his nose. That pesky little demon. I hate how they're all annyoing," said Katsura.
Katsura flew down from that roof and walked through the town. She then came upon her home where she used to live. She walked inside and found people living in there. There was a little girl, a mom and a dad. All were happy a peaceful. The mom was cooking, the girl was in the living room playing and the dad was watching T.V. like he just came back from work.
They all seem so happy. I'm happy about that. At least she's old enough to remember her father's face. I don't even know what he looks like or anything.
Aria walked around with Zane in the mortal world seeing the sights of the world after they had died. "So Aria. What was your life like before you died?" asked Zane as they sat on a nearby bench near a lake.
"My life was good when I lived in America. I moved to Japan because my dad had to transfer. From then on, my life wasn't the best.. I was always picked on by the other kids since I wore lots of black. Black seemed to cool my temper and then I got picked on. The kids thoght that I was a witch or something. They would tease me when someone got hurt. Saying that I cursed them or made sure that they got hurt. When I hit middle school, my life went downhill. The other girls would pick on me and say that I should put a curse on them to prove that I was a witch. They didn't care if they died either. They only said that because I lived in America before. Then in high school, I avoided everyone. Nobody came near me and that was the way I liked it. I was glad that everyone stayed away or else I might snap at them. Sometime in the winter, I went to go visit my friends in the States. That was when my plane crashed and I died. So here I am as an angel with the worst reputation to follow," said Aria as she looked to the sky.
"That's a sad story. I'm sorry that I made you say all that."
"Na, no problem. It was fine. Now, let's head back to heaven to meet up with the others."
"This place is really wonderful, but I wonder...how is everyone doing and are they okay", he said with a semi-smile.
"You know you could visit them if you like, but you musn't interact with them", a voice said from behind them.
"Really, I can how can I" Iceykis said joyfully,
"Just go threw those gates right there and you can visit them, just promise me you'll go threw those gates", the voice said sternly as two golden gates opened.
"Thank you, thank you", he said happily as he rushed to the gates.
"Good phase two is under way", said the voice.
Katsura had returned to heaven and tried to look for Zane and Aria. She then found them and said,"I'm glad I found you two. I thought that for sure that the demons would have come and got Zane by now but I guess not. I worried over nothing. Haha."
"Well you must feel better now," said Aria. "You've been so busy lately that I'm just glad you've had some time to yourself."
"Hey. Why are your eyes red and swollen. What happened when you left?" aksed Zane looking concerned.
"Oh let's just say that I remembered some sad and horrible memories that are precious and yet sad at the same time," answered Katsura as she smiled.
"Oh, I see. They must be very painful memories for you to remember."
"Yeah I guess they were. But everything's fine now. How I about I show you around heaven. I'm sure that many angels can't wait to met a new angel to the group."
Tara didn't need Sean's help anyways. She placed her right and over the dead man on the ground and paused for a moment. A spark of dark energy ran across her hand. Soon after, the same sparks appeared all around the man's body. Like springs, they quickly elongated, raising the man up a few feet off the ground. Then they shrunk back to their original size and hovered around him.
"Perfect," Tara muttered. As she turned around and snapped her fingers, the man's body hovered after her, traveling down pitch-black hallways and past chambers. Eventually, Tara came to a stop at a sitting room that looked relatively clean and welcoming. The room contained two red velvet chairs draped with elegant black cobwebs, a glass table, and a piano. Tara set the man down in one of the chairs, closed the door of the room, and was off again.
Tara stopped before a long, dark hall that seemed to have no end. Then she took out her wand, and when she pointed it straight ahead, it extended into a javelin and caught fire. So then it resembled a fiery pitchfork in appearance. Tara stood this javelin back up and waved her hand slowly across the flames.
"Kataorba kani, nai kito."
The flames seemed to be extinguished but instead reduced down to a black aura around the javelin's pitchforked tip. An eerie blue glow could be seen around it as well. Tara smiled and kneeled down slightly.
Then, Tara started running down the hall, extending her wings while doing so. Then she jumped, letting her wings carry her down the hall instead. After picking up a bit of speed, Tara saw that the hall ended in a room with a high ceiling. Upon reaching the room, Tara made a ninety-degree turn upward. She was heading towards a ceiling that appeared to be made of crystal, with a black rose design on it. It looked like Tara would crash into this beautifully embellished ceiling or otherwise shatter it, but instead she passed right through it, feeling like she was flying through a cloud instead of a panel of crystal.
After passing through the "ceiling", Tara squinted--the sun was shining outside. Immediately, Tara positioned her javelin in front of her--this had an effect of reducing the light around her. After this, she flew down and landed.
Tara was standing on top of a skyscraper in the same city she was in before. The top of the building was wet because of the thunderstorm that had been present a couple of hours ago, but now, apparently, the storm was all gone. It was a clear, sunny day now--just the kind of day Tara hated in the mortal world.
I can't help but wonder if the angels helped clear up the weather, Tara thought. Which means there are still a lot of them out there.
Well hopefully if I stand like this a little longer, an angel will see me... And if there's more than one angel who does--well, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. I will be ready for that.
Tara kept a firm grip on her javelin, those tip was still engulfed in the dark glow from before. She herself occasionally look down to see what was happening in the area--hopefully something would inspire what she would do next.
Iceykis was over-joyed at the thought of just seeing his family once again,
"I can't wait to see them, I wonder if they are alright",
He continued seemingly floating threw the gates when he noticed his back starting to tingle.
"Ouch, what's the matter with my back...it feels like something is growing out-", he stopped as he saw two long snow-white wings spread from his back,
"WOW, I-I have wings, wait...that makes since because I'm a angel", he said now exiting the gates. He walked around the area he was in with a lost expression on his face,
"Where am I...I don't remember a giant skyscraper being here, there should be a shrine here and my house should be right there", he then spreaded out his wings trying to fully learn how to fly with them.
"Wow I'm flying and-", he suddenly got a really ominous feeling from atop the skyscraper and flew towards it immediatly.
"Well it looks like an angel has come to play", a girl said holding a devilish looking javelin,
"You must be one of those demons I heard about, I'm sorry but I'm going to have to slay you", Iceykis said instictivly balling up his hand forming a blue light around it,
"Really", she said laughing at him,
"Yes, but first I must learn of your name",
"...Tara",
"Well Tara, I Iceykis Caskai shall be your slayer", he said forming a large blue ball over his head.
