Art Crafts Thread

[color=dimgray]I made this thread for all the OBers who enjoy taking on crafts projects, such as dolls, toys, etc. :)

I'm making a bunch of small Totoro plushies to give to my friend at Christmas:

I got the pattern from [url="http://www.ufocatcher.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=31"]here[/url], and they're quite easy to make. I was a total newbie when it came to sewing, but after the first two (which were nothing short of a disaster) I got the hang of it.

Those are incredibly cool. I think what would look really good is if you find that brown and white fabric they use for sock monkeys. I bet that would look nice.

All I do is make sprites out of Perler Beads. I guess I can post some here next time I make a few.

Oh yea, I love craftworks too, apart from drawing anime. Especially jewellery. Last summer I did pendants (cardboard, paint (poster+nail enamel) , wire and pva glue) and I grew addicted doing 'em. I have loads and I should scan 'em and show you if I have the time. ^_^

And I have a sort of liking over BUTTONS. I used buttons as rocks for rings. The finished button ring looked awesome once I wore it.

Oh yea, I definitely going to scan 'em for you!

Yep, another mini-Totoro doll! I got the pattern from [url]http://heavens-hellcat.livejournal.com/420.html[/url]. Really cool doll. I didn't have stuffing around at the time I finished it so I filled it with old underwear. XD

Behind it is an SD Hyaku Shiki I'm planning to repaint tomorrow (marigold is soooo tacky). Gonna use gold nail polish 'cause I can't find any other type of paint.[/COLOR]
