Dragon Warrior
Conjured Up By Dragon Warrior & White The following is a pretty sweet RPG full of EPICness. It may cause seizures. Please, for your own safety, only continue if you are able to handle the extreme awesomeness.
ong ago, in a far away land currently unnamed by the creators of this EPIC RPG, there was peace and happiness. The angels sang their angelic angel songs of angelicness. The god(s) smiled upon the prosperous people and their blissful lives. But as we all know, there's always someone who has to be a jerk. It has come to be known through the legends that a far-powerful dude of EPIC proportions would be summoned onto the mortal plain to rule as an unholy, but EPIC leader. The time has come for the world to bring truth to the legend... and so, the hideous evil was born. However, it was also spoken in the legends that the evil being would be slain by four powerful chosen warriors wielding an awesome weapon of holy power. Crafted by seven sages of the east and forged from several items gathered by the four warriors, the sword was the only shining hope the world currently unnamed had. It was, by far, EPIC. Apparently, these four warriors are clueless of their destiny, but it won't be long before they are given a warning about their fate. And off, they shall embark through mountains and forests, seas and... grassy places with flowers... anyways. Their journey begins when they are merely ignorant of the EPIC adventure that is about to pretty much drag them away from all that is happy and make them miserable for a really long time... We begin...
ish to join up on this amazing and EPIC adventure? Then feel free! This RPG was forged in deep, dark dungeons by Dragon Warrior, White, and assistance from Ozy, therefore, they already claim three of the Chosen Warriors' spots. I know! Isn't that a kick in the elven balls? But don't worry. There's still one spot left or you can sign up as a future character that shall appear later in the story (either shortly after we start or even near the end of the RPG). We just ask you do not sign up as anyone else but the final Chosen Warrior for right now. I'm not currently posting the sign up application yet. You'll know how to fill one out once White, Ozy, and I post ours. Once all three of us have posted our profiles (which shouldn't take too long from the point I'm making this thread), everyone may feel free to sign up for the final position (you are all competing for it and the best profile will get it). We thank you for your interest and if you have any questions, PM me (or IM). An underground thread will be made soon, but not right now. Thank you for your time to read this EPIC adventure! SIGN UPS NOW OPEN!
 Appearance: Calvin has shaggy dark blonde hair and deep brown eyes. His skin is fairly pale as he spends most of his time inside. He usually wears a silver cloth tunic and sometimes a black bandanna to cover his mouth. He doesn't have any armor as he's mostly into the whole agility thing with the bows and daggers and whatnot. He wears long brown boots for fast-paced action and has some studded leather armor on his arms. History: Calvin has lived in the same house his whole life. He is the oldest of a family of five and sometimes has to take care of his siblings. He's known Flynn since he was just a child and the two connect very well. Since Calvin is the oldest in his family, he was raised a hunter to provide for the family when his father was unable. Naturally, this made him an excellent marksman and he is proud of himself for that. He's longtime best friend to Calvin and the two are inseparable. If they were Batman and Robin, Flynn would be Batman and Calvin would be Robin. Appearance: Flynn has wavy blonde hair and dazzling blue eyes. He's particularly the handsome stud that's a bit dumb at times. He normally wears some kind of green/black/white outfit, from various tunics to comfortable pants and a sloppy ragged shirt. His appearance tends to show he really doesn't care what he looks like in terms of dressing himself. History: Flynn has lived in a small town of humans for the largest portion of his life. He moved to it when he was one with his family of traveling bards. His father and mother decided to settle down and this is where he remained. He befriended his neighbor, Calvin, who, ever since, was the gold to his silver. There was always something to do when the two were together, but as time rolled on, they both looked toward a future elsewhere in the world. Flynn took the time to learn a bit of fencing from a man in the village, but his parents preferred he learn an instrument like them. He is musically oriented now with a bit of fight in him, but he wasted most of his time on the town girls. Weapon: A pretty dull blade he uses to fence with. Dragon Warrior
Now, everyone, you may feel free to sign up as you please. As you can see, the sign ups as the standard kind. Just follow what I write below and you should be fine... Name: Make up a creative fantasy name or something that at least matches the character/atmosphere/race :) Race: Humans, elves, dwarves, etc. You know how to do this. You may even make something up, as long as you describe it. Age: Depending on the race... if not human, specify how that age compares to human years. Personality: What they're like. Appearance: How they dress. History: About their past. Weapon: What they use for combat. You don't necessarily have to know any form of fighting. Maybe the most they know is fist-fights or not even that. Good luck, everyone :) Thank you for your time. I'm always up for an EPIC adventure. Name: Eric Ironfoundersson Race: Dwarf Age: Being a long lived race, Eric is 112 in human years but can be compared to a human 20 year old in attitude. Personality: Typical of his race, Eric is a easy going and carousing fellow. When presented with a problem, he's quite happy to cut it off at the knees. Appearance: Standard dwarven chainmail with studded leather over the top. Iron shod boots protect his feet and were forged by his dear old ma, along with a particularly fetching iron helm. History: Eric isn't a typical dwarf, he doesn't enjoy mining and gold lacks its lustre in his eyes. He'd much rather be out in the open air where there's only a minor chance of being crushed by falling rocks. He left the family mine up in the mountains just recently under the premise of finding a fine dwarven lass and founding a mine of his own. Currently he's quite content with the idea of moving to a small human town and setting up his own forge and smithy. Don't talk to him about claustrophobia. Weapon: Eric favours a two handed axe, double bladed for preference and worn on his back for easy access at all times. He has two smaller throwing axes that he wears in his belt. If he's feeling particularly pithy he might shake things up a bit with his selecting of smithy tools in his large leather bag. Dragon Warrior
Stupid me, I think I forgot to mention everyone may sign up for that final spot and you are competing for it. Sandy
Because this is a dragonwarriorish RPG, I'm going to try something completely new with my character, something that I personally haven't done before. Here's to hoping it fits the set-up of this game... Name: Scarlotta Race: Human Age: 41 Personality: She is maternal and caring, especially towards young boys like her own three sons. Anybody who threatens her family will however face her dark side: an aggressive, vengeful death goddess locked deep within her. She takes no crap from anybody and will smite all who oppose her. And she loves cooking. Appearance: Her once fiery red hair is graying, and her once honed muscles begin to flatten out, but she still has the eyes of a seasoned warrior, burning with inner flame. History: In her youth, Scarlotta was a notorious mercenary with the monicker of "Scarlet the Bloodstained". She was feared by both nobles and criminals, for she worked for whoever paid her most. She was especially cruel towards men, and her punishment to rapists and child-killers can't be depicted in civilized words. But ultimately one man, a humble innkeeper's son, succeeded in winning her heart. She settled down with him, and bore him three good sons, who one by one left home with their brides. A once mighty warrioress was now reverted to a lowly inn hostess and a soon-to-be-grandmother. She felt happy with her present life, up until the day she found her dear husband slaughtered by trespassing bandits. Her inner flame lit up again, and taking her old war axe from the mantelpiece she rushed after the wrong-doers. Weapon: In her warrior days she carried a double-bladed war axe that she nicknamed "Ballcutter". She hasn't let it rust, so it's still perfectly usable to do what it was named to do. I've done a good job of narrowing my character choice from seven down to two, but I have a REALLY hard time deciding between the two. So therefore, I will post both of their signups here, and you can choose which character would fit best in the RPG. I'm not planning to play both these characters in the RPG, because I know I can't. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Sundira Lemente (aka Sunny) Race: Something called a "rabbit fae". A fae is NOT a fairy--instead it's kind of like a humanoid animal. Faes are usually based off mammals, but there have been some based off of dragons (but those are more commonly called "half-dragons") and such. Sunny is based off a rabbit--a type of rabbit native to Gala with the odd-shaped ears she has. Age: 20 Personality: Sunny really has a sunny personality. She's energetic and friendly, and she loves to help others. However, she has a great deal of favre* (see bottom), and people don't often trust her. Also, she's good at lying, but she only tells white lies to protect herself or her friends. She can also keep secrets well. Plus, Sunny is easily distracted, so she would find it nearly impossible to meditate for example... But on the plus side, she has a fair amount of control over herself and her emotions, except maybe excitement... Yeah, she does get excited easily. And though she's not too shy, she is quite modest and is easily flattered. As far as Sunny's abilities go, she doesn't like to cause evil with them, unless the harm she does is intended for a true enemy. She does believe in karma, probably a little too much in fact. Every time she steals energy from someone who's not an enemy, for example, she often feels quite guilty and/or depressed afterward. But at least the good thing is that she's not afraid of the dark powers she has, nor any sort of dark powers. Sunny gets startled easily, but the only thing she actually fears is physical pain, or the worse possible fate of getting her soul stolen or destroyed. So these fears do not include death or ghosts (unless they're evil ghosts) or such. Coming from a society of magic really would inspire that in anyone. Appearance: A picture is worth a thousand words. (Except for describing how big she is. She's about five feet tall without her hat, while she's standing up that is.) Bio: The also faraway land of Gala is a magical place. It is mainly home to faes such as Sunny, and many other exotic races as well. Also, this land contains various villages in which the native Galian farmers, merchants, and such lived and worked. But also, it was a "society of magic", meaning it was home to several mages, alchemists, psychics, and all sorts of people who lived their life by the workings and elusive ways of the supernatural. These sort of people actually immigrated through a portal that once existed which led to another planet where magical influence was especially strong, and they often taught the natives of their ways. Sunny was born in this land of Gala, into the Lemente family which came from that other planet long ago. The Lemente family was well-known throughout Gala but also quite notorious for its reputation of black magical practices. This is evident in Sunny's real name which means "curse"--her mother (named Selenthe, to make this easier to read) named her that because she wanted Sunny to become really experienced with black magic, just like her. Sunny was pretty much okay with that and quickly took up an interest in it. For such was a characteristic few a Lemente could refuse. But, most of her childhood wasn't all about sunshine and happiness--her schoolmates automatically detected her ominous aura and mostly feared her. On top of that, many of their parents wouldn't let them play with Sunny in fear of her putting a curse on them or something. (They knew about her family's reputation.) Sunny always tried to be friendly (that's why she gave herself that nickname), but it just never worked out with the other kids. So she never had any friends in her life for quite a while. One day, Sunny finally found a friend named Satsuma Merelda. Wait--Merelda? The Merelda family was also from that other planet, and occasionally was a royal family for a few generations at a time. They were a family of much wisdom and knowledge of magic--and they even had secret ties with the Lemente family in the past. Anyways, this was pretty much evident in Satsuma, who, unlike most others, saw past Sunny's aura and even generally liked her. And another good thing was that Satsuma was also next in line for becoming the queen of Gala because that's who her grandmother was. (Royalty usually skipped a generation in that family... And it's evident in Satsuma's name, which happens to mean "royal person".) When Sunny hit her teens, many changes met her. She received her staff for her sixteenth birthday--that was pretto common with her past relatives. Also around that time was an increase in her magical abilities, also common. But following that was a decrease in her magical abilities--not common at all. Why in the world was that happening?!? It was then that Selenthe showed Sunny how to steal energy from the soul or the aura, which, they found, was a great cure for this decrease. However, this ability often got her into trouble in public if she just stole energy from random people, and a few times she narrowly missed being prosecuted or even put in jail for that reason. Now, by that time, Satsuma had inherited the throne of Gala. However, she didn't want to ruin her reputation by vindicating Sunny--at least not too much. So from that point on, Satsuma and Sunny grew more and more distant towards each other--until the point where they might as well have not been friends anymore. In the year that followed, Sunny really grew more negative towards herself. Now she didn't really fit in anywhere in Gala. Now she had no friends, and all she really had for support was her mother. Selenthe tried to be comforting to her, but Sunny still led an unhappy, restricted life. Sunny spent pretty much all her time at home from then on, or visiting Satsuma's family on rare occasions. And she had even adopted a daughter from another faraway land for company--a cute little dog fae named Fortuna. Life was okay, but Sunny really didn't have much hope for the future or any sort of goal in life... Until it happened--a dream, a call from an unknown and mysterious faraway place. It was entrancing, like the song of a siren. Whatever it was, Sunny followed this call. It was a call for help and for destiny. Now the divine was in her favour, for Sunny found out about being a hero in this distant land. She was chosen for adventure, for banishing of corrupt ways, for the company of other heroes too. This voice warmed Sunny through and through, for it gave her a future for once, an actual purpose in life. Thus Sunny followed this call, flying out on her staff like a witch riding on a broomstick, to the mysterious land it came from... Weapons: With her staff (shown in the picture), she can use certain spells that manipulate dark energy--everything from energy pulse waves to a constricting back vine. But without her staff, all is not lost--she still has two abilities left. The first is a pulsing wave of psychic energy that she can only use while wearing her hat. The second is the ability to drain the energy of the aura or the soul, kind of like a psychic vampire. For such is the kind of energy Sunny needs in order to mantain her ability to use any sort of magic. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Favre: (n) 1. A negative or ominous aura 2. An innate quality that inspires hatred or fear in others Syn. Formidability Ant. Charisma My second choice: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Celestia Arandon Species: Human Age: 17 Personality: Celestia is a very spiritual person, and also very calm. She doesn't show any extreme emotions very often, but sometimes she can get depressed, whether the reason is obvious or nonexistent. Generally she keeps an open mind about things, especially divine matters such as fate. Her soul "rests with fate", as she lets it. Also she believes that anything is possible so long as fate allows it. This is even true in complex supernatural events such as the afterlife, working of magic, and psychic abilities. Anyways, Celestia is also not really the most social person in the world, but that doesn't mean she doesn't get along well with other people. She generally respects people of all races, ages, genders, and colours. The only people she may not respect are those who disrespect her. She really enjoys being alone, but she also likes the company of other people at times. You can see how Celestia's personality weaves in closely with the psychic abilities she has. It is true that she isn't very good at feeling very angry or even hyper without some sort of outside force, but a person's aura needs the touch of emotion just like a piece of dough needs to be kneaded. And in fact, the presence of the serenity of nature--or more importantly, the presence of her own soul and her own place in the world--keeps her pretty happy indeed when she wants to feel that way. A way to achieve this is by meditating--Celestia has done this often in the past--but Celestia often feels she doesn't need to do so for very long in order to feel true to herself and at ease. Anyways, Celestia is also a person who generally trusts her intuition. Sometimes she's a little modest about what she foresees, or even doubtful in rare cases, though. She's modest about her other powers as well--that was from growing up with a mom who was nervous around magic users. Appearance: There is a picture here (Celestia is in the middle), but that was from three years ago... Still it's mostly accurate. In the picture, her hair looks sort of like it has blue streaks in it--in actuality it doesn't. And in the picture, the bottom of her skirt is kind of flat. In actuality, the skirt is a little longer, wavier, and is darker in colour at the bottom. Other than that, it's accurate... Oh, but one thing you cannot tell from loking at the picture is that Celestia's just under five feet tall (when she's standing up, that is). Bio: Celestia lives in a quaint house made of stone, nestled in between the small village of Wallydee and the Mystic Star Forest. This forest used to be a pretty safe forest until a group of harpies (half-human-half-bird creatures) moved there in order to escape a gang of giant snakes in another forest. But that's beside the point for now. Celestia never knew who her dad was--he just left her mom behind before she was born. Poor Mom--she indeed often felt tormented throughout her life. Because of one small thing she did when she was young--she teased a boy her age for having these special powers--Benita (that's her name, to make this easier to read) was visited by a mage who had a short affair with her then left just when she was beginning to get fairly attached to him. Since Benita was an emotionally sensitive woman, you can imagine how much she was hurt by that. And, it happened again--only this time, it was a different mage and Benita actually had a daughter with him before he left. This daughter was Celestia. Celestia lived a pretty normal life for about six years. Benita was greatly relieved that Celestia didn't have any magical powers like the mages that visited her--or it didn't seem that way when Celestia was still young. Anyways, on Celestia's seventh birthday, Benita got visited by a third mage. (He and the other two mages didn't seem to be residents of Wallydee--just some stranger that may have even been sent by the "Karma Fairy" to pay Benita back for the way she teased the boy when she was young.) This one did the same thing the previous two mages did, and Benita had yet another daughter. (OK, she was used to that part by then.) This daughter she named Mereduin. But, Mereduin was very different than Celestia. When she was no more than three days old, Benita saw her lying in her little bed, juggling flames! With her bare hands! And, she made the flames disappear, and made new ones! Benita was horrified by this--why, Mereduin had a special ability that allowed her to summon fire! Mereduin loved to toy with her fire powers, even as she got a little older. However, one day she was careless and threw a flame onto the ceiling which caught on fire a small bit. Celestia jumped at the sight of this--what if she burned down the house? So, Celestia grabbed a jug of water and poured its contents onto the flames. However, for some strange reason, this made the fire grow bigger and spread more rapidly. Soon enough, it was too late--the fire burned down the whole house, and it took quite a bit of time and money to replace all the burnt stuff in the house. And, Benita was outraged at what Mereduin had done, so she grounded her until further notice... Later on, Benita remembered that Mereduin's father was a mage that specialized in fire magic. Also, she remembered that the second mage that visited her (Celestia's father) could use all sorts of psychic abilities. She was dumbstruck--did this mean that Celestia could have inherited some of her father's powers as well, and just didn't know about them? Anyways, though she was very nervous about it, one day Benita took Celestia to a witch doctor in Wallydee, who was supposed to check to see if she had any such powers. Sure enough, the test turned out to be positive... As more time went by, Celestia began to really be a help around the house. For example, when Benita needed to move a new bed into the house, Celestia would carry the bed in telekinetically. And then there was the time that Benita stayed dry in a rainstorm while walking home after a long meeting in Wallydee, because Celestia had seen the storm coming from afar and Benita had thus prepared. Finally Benita was beginning to realize how beneficial magic users could be. Well, this was partially true... Mereduin, on the other hand, was not allowed to use her powers ever since the house burned down. This got her quite mad and grumpy indeed, and she was also jealous of Celestia because Benita treated her better. It continued to the point where one day, Mereduin just ran away... Mereduin ran away near sunset that day, while she was locked in ehr room and was to be grounded to the next morning. Therefore, Benita didn't notice her gone that night. But, while Celestia was lying in bed, she suddenly woke up because of a dream she had of Mereduin running away. At first she doubted this, but then she noticed that she couldn't feel Mereduin's presence in the room as she usually could... Instead, she saw that she was wandering through the Mystic Star Forest. ...The Mystic Star Forest?!? Oh no--what if she got attacked by a harpy or something...? Celestia really did feel bad for Mereduin, and this was nothing new. She had felt this way ever since the huge fire. She always had a secret desire to help Mereduin out, but she was afraid that if she did, her mother wouldn't be too happy with her. But she really did care for Mereduin and didn't want ehr hurt or anything. So therefore she decided to run away too--to look for Mereduin. Things were going fine at first, and Celestia knew exactly where Mereduin was. However, there was one thing she did not foresee for some reason. While she was walking through the forest, she suddenly walked into an unseen portal and vanished... Weapons: Celestia doesn't really have any weapons--instead she has a few psychic abilities. Her most notable ability is telepathy--meaning she can occasionally see into a person (like reading his/her mind) and send thoughts to other people. But, she can only do this with people who are either physically close or people she knows really well (a.k.a. Mereduin and Benita--see bio). Also she can use telekinesis, which she uses both to move objects and to send waves of psychic energy (though they are quite powerful and take time and energy to form). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yeah, I can't make up my mind today... First I couldn't decide between Sunny and Celestia, then I decided that only Sunny will do, then I changed my mind again!! **For both of them, what happens in the last paragraph of the bio hasn't actually happened yet--that's just a sneak preview of what I expect to happen in my first post in the RPG. Sorry for the confusion... Again, I do not wish to RP both of these characters--only one.
 He's longtime best friend to Flynn and the two are inseparable. If they were Batman and Robin, Calvin would be Batman and Flynn would be Robin. Dragon Warrior
Dragon Warrior's Profile
Name: Flynn Race: Human Age: 23 Personality: Flynn is the inventive one. He constantly comes up with wild schemes and ways to get out of situations, but at times, they just make things worse. He's quick to go after girls and always tries to hook him and his friend Calvin up. He's not shy at all, which can be both good and bad. Unfortunately for Elven Beauty Standereds, her face is speckled with freckles, and she has large glasses over her eyes.
Good luck, everyone :) Thank you for your time.
liamc2
Fancy!
Imp
Arrgh... hmm... D'OH! It's no use... I just can't decide...
Tekkaman
I'm always up for an RP. I'll use a character that I rolled up for D&D in Iraq. -------------------------------------------------- Name: Leucis Race: Lycanthrope (Weretiger) Age: 18 Personality: Leucis is very quiet; he thinks to himself a lot. Also, because of his lycanthropy, Leucis is somewhat skeptical of himself since he cannot fully control his transformations yet. Appearance: Leucis is about 5"10 with dark brown hair that is always tangled and drooping over his light hazel eyes. He has small freckles on his face that some people perceive as dirt from first glance. Leucis wears a white ripped-up t-shirt and matching shorts (Both pants and shirt aren't white anymore from years of traveling, washing, etc...). Leucis carries no armor. In Leucis' weretiger form, however, he stands at 6"6 with orange fur and black stripes. His hazel eyes turn more of an orange color and his head-hair blends in perfectly with his fur. For the sake of Leucis' clothing, however, he takes them off before his transformation. Just think along these guidelines -----> Leucis History: At the age of 13, Leucis - a foreigner - was attacked by a man in Africa while his parents were running errands. the man, unbeknownst to Leucis, was a lycanthrope (A 'shapeshifter' in Africa); Leucis was mauled by the man without question and lay in the jungle half dead. As his parents returned - food in hand - they saw blood on the ground near the door. both parents immediately thought of Leucis and panicked; they ran inside to see Leucis greeting them - as if nothing was wrong. Leucis' parents soon forgot about the blood, glad to see their son still alive. Three days later, on a full moon, Leucis awoke with his head feeling like it was going to explode; he could feel something try to crawl out of him and take over. Confused, Leucis walked to his parents room in a daze and remembered tapping his father... As Leucis awoke the next day, his parents mangled body parts laid acoss the room; he found blood all over him. Breaking into tears from remembering everything, Leucis ran away from his home into the jungle. That was five years ago... Weapon: Due to Leucis being a Lycan and being able to better control his transformations with time and training (Meaning he can differentiate friend from foe), he carries no weapon.

liamc2
Awesome! Huzzah, let there be feasting and so on! I hope you guys weren't waiting for me to post here before starting the RPG up, because I thought any comment made here would be superfluous considering that the Underground and RPG would be posted... So uh, if you're ready to EPIC it up with EPIC...ness...Eric is happy to bring his axe(s) to the party ^_^
Dragon Warrior
Yeah, it's my fault. I've been super busy this week, but once Christmas finishes, I'll be hopefully free to start it. I plan to either start it today (Christmas) or tomorrow :)
