A quick rundown on how the voting will work: People not participating in the particular battle will post their votes here during each chapter once both players have used up their 2 posts for who they think should win based on the overall quality of the posts. The first person to receive 5 votes will be declared the winner, and i will make a post saying so.[/font]

[FONT=Tahoma]Actually I had intended on starting it up today since it has officially been a week since putting it up. I really wanted atleast 12 people, but the idea of granting a second character to certain people seems like it could work as well. I don't really want to give everyone a second character since it would cut down the match selections considerably if everyone has a member on each team. I'd also like the focus to be on a definite amount of teammates and opponents, as teammates aren't meant to go at it in any way until the end.

I'll post an update in the recruitment thread in a couple of minutes and see if i can get atleast 3 more sign ups by tonight (tonight meaning anywhere between 4-6 hours from now, that way everyone knows i'm not postponing it until forever). If not, i'll work with what I have.

If I get one more sign up, I'll make 2 groups of 5.
If I get two more sign ups, I'll assume an extra character.
If I get three more sign ups, then woot. That'll be perfect.
If I get no more sign ups, I'll asume another char and we'll have 2 groups of 5 as if i received one more sign up.

If everyons is cool with that, then cool. If not, then lemme know.[/FONT]

I'm sure you can understand how the whole "hurry up and wait" bit might chafe on a man who has decided to fight. Mmm, I'm not so sure about having two characters. [COLOR=DarkRed]BK[/COLOR]'s issue could be resolved by putting both characters a player controls on the same team, but then the final matches would be rather interesting, and probably somewhat boring. Either way, at some point we'd run into the problem of having to fight ourselves, and what fun is that?

In retrospect, it might have been interesting to have set this up similarly to the way [COLOR=DarkRed]Sandy[/COLOR] handled The Labyrinth, with players signing up privately as characters and then having matches where players are assigned a character to use in a certain match. While making it easier for one player to knock another out, it also would have encouraged versatility in character usage, and then we could add extra characters without a problem. Also, it might not be to a player's advantage simply to spar poorly with a character they didn't initially ask for, so what have you.

That's just me exploring ideas; I am not attempting to tell you, [COLOR=DarkRed]BK[/COLOR], that you did anything bad in setup. Both ways have their advantages and flaws, and I'd personally much rather continue with what we have going now. (I actually prefer your setup, anyway. It's easier on the brain. :animesmil )[/FONT]

[FONT=Tahoma]Well the fact that I was able to get one more sign up (I'm trusting Ikillion to get it up) fixed the problem really. Rather then things being elimination style though since we don't have a lot of participants, it will just work on a point system through 3 chapters.

Whoever wins gets a point for their team, and they will be placed in different matches each chapter and whichever team has more points will face off in a battle royale. I feel bad you had to be left out Allamorph but I wanted to give Ikillion some time so he could participate with the rest of us.

There should be a couple of team battles in chapter 2, then chapter 3 will be a bit different from the rest. Hopefully we get that far =).[/FONT]

[FONT=Tahoma]Yes, they all go on at once. As for number of posts, since I was unclear about it in the thread, for this chapter I'll allow a pre-fight post per person. The actual 3 posts allowed won't start until the actual fighting begins (at the discretion of whoever starts the fight, once it starts then it's on). So for example if White's first post is initiating the fight with Mewtwo, Deathsye's first post will be his first of the 3 spar posts.

For the following chapters the particular number of posts required to end a spar will begin directly after the matches are announced (they will be different depending on the type of match).[/FONT]

I realize that this is right after Christmas and right before New Year's, but I see several other RPs/events that are still going despite the dates. (The fact that I'm unable to actually participate yet has nothing to do with my question; I just want to see some good action.) I also realize a few of you are waiting for your opponent to post, but I see no activity from anyone here, concerned or otherwise, and I'm getting a little worried.

I don't intend on nagging people to post or whatnot, as i've already sent out some PMs noting that the RP had begun. People seem to not want to participate for whatever reason, it is their perogative.

Though if anyone is still interested I suppose I can put together a round with the active members sparring against one another (eventhough there are currently 2 people who have already posted once who are due to make a second post and have not yet). [/FONT]
