G/S/B Master
I remember it was the year 2000, I was looking for Pokemon cheats and I stumbled onto http://theotaku.com/. Back then, it was sort of a game/anime oriented site instead of a fanart/blog site that it is right now. I was only 6(!) at the time I discovered it. But of course: " i wuz tyeping liek dis lolololol". I thank the admins and mods for enforcing the rules and proper grammar/spelling. I think I would?ve turned out to be another AOL-tard if it weren?t for that :P. Everyday after school I would run up to my computer go to to OtakuBoards to see if one of my RPGs have advanced in the plot. I didn?t have much of a life outside of the computer as you can see, but it?s better than doing nothing. I left around the time myOtaku started. I think that was 2004 no? I think that was also the time where we actually had serious discussions on the Otaku Lounge; threads about Religion/Science/Politics all over the place. I decided that I was too immature for the board, I got some contacts with Otaku members, and left. I?m now 13. I?m not as much of an anti-social 7 years ago. And I decided to stop by to see how you guys are. I'm a bit sad that most of the veterans left, but at least some are still here. I remember HBomb, Adam, Raiha, Lady Katana, Desbreko, Celes, Renee, Digital Monster, will2x, kuja (haha : ) ), and James. Adam's Angels, the "Spam this Thread" thread, OtakuBoards Big Brother (xD), and the countless RPGs that I was in/made. *sigh *. I think I?ll end this before the nostalgia completely ruins this post. Notes to some members that I hope is still there: Altron Gundam ? You?re an asshole. That is all : ). Just kidding, I remember I was arguing with you over Yu-Gi-Oh, and I thought I was ?t3h 1337zorz? at it. Thanks for straightening me out. Lady Katana ? Dunno if you still remember this, but I flamed you and stuff? So yeah I?m sorry. And good work with OtakuPedia :). And to those who remember me: <
DeadSeraphim
I see your sig, and I think... Why is a 13 year old plugging 4chan? 4chan is the arsehole of the internet, where racism, sexism, and image macros combine into a juggernaut of hilarity. It is clearly inappropriate for those of the 'junior high or lower' disposition. When 13 year olds are at 4chan, the apocalypse isn't far behind. And I was just getting used to the word not being blown to bits by an orgy of destruction and stuff, too.

Well, why not? /b/ is a very humourous place, once you get passed the goatse/tubgirl/inhuman amounts of racism. I'll remove it *cough*
DeadSeraphim
Also, I forgot to mention before, but as a veteran of 4chan before desu desu desu became a meme? Sandy
Wait... What? You were six years old when you started here, huh? I swear, I couldn't even write with a pencil when I was that age, let alone type! XP I remember you as well, from the first OtakuBoards Survivor. You made it quite far with your Frankenstein-character... ;D If you want a good nostalgy trip, you should definitely check out the Otakupedia thread stickied at the top of this section. There are plenty of memories stored into it. - Sandy, formerly known as Sage
Semjaza
Seven years too long, amirite? That's a long time, though. Most forums seem to bite the dust in the first year.

Oh, wait, that's just gas. :fart: I remember you hanging out in the Pokemon forum a fair bit back in the day. Welcome back. Myself, I've been here the whole time, working away on the staff. Only now I'm an admin so I get to send [strike]my lackeys[/strike] mods to deal with the annoying members. :p February 14 will mark the beginning of my sixth year on the staff. Seems kind of crazy that I've been doing this for so long.
Boo
Yeah, I remember you. You even joined my silly little boards that I made when OtakuBoards was down. I was still 'd_a' back then. Hm, I've stuck around here for almost five years now. Perhaps I should find a hobby.
NashvilleDream
I also stumbled upon OB in much the same manner Although I do believe it was quizzes that I was looking for. I also think I remember you... from somewhere.
SaiyanPrincessX
I remember you. I'm an OB vetran I guess you could say. I've been here since 2001.You were very young if you're thirteen now; I don't think I ever knew that. I started coming to OB when I was fourteen, now I'm old, heh. :animeswea Its always fun to see old members come back and post, I hope you stay around. I myself don't actually post much. I used to visit the Lounge, and art most, however I never seem to get any replies on my artwork anymore so I don't post much of it. Theres also the lack of time. But, as you can see, I still lurk around. ^_^ The Otaku Boards will live on forever! ..Or at least untill it meets its demise, hopefully not for many more years to come.
Goodbye, Face
Don't we normally lock these threads? Well, I remember you from my Cloud Strife00 days, haha. We both spent a lot of time in the Digimon, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! forums, right? Nice to see another familiar face around here.
Gavin
Interesting, most interesting. I definitely remember G/S/B Master and Crimson Spider from the Pokémon forums from ages back, though I didn't post there too often I did find that both of you knew your stuff when it came to squads. It's hard to believe you weren't even, or might have just entered double digits while the rest of us were in our early teens. Wow, reminds me of Warlock. As for Oldies celebrating how long they've been around, it's probably about 5 years and 2 months for me now if I recall correctly, given I had two accounts before this one.
Dragon Warrior
G/S/B Master :) You old dog, you. Welcome back. OB's made some changes that are apparent, but I still think it has some old qualities we can't rid ourselves of (mainly due to some old members still being around).

Anyway, I also remember you from the Pokemon forums, G/S/B Master. I used to go by Shyguy, but was mostly active in Digimon. Hopefully you'll find that as much as certain things have changed here, others are exactly the same. Welcome back. -Shy
Funny Girl
This is very cool that an old member here at the OB is meeting up with old friends! :animesmil Myself, I've been here for about a good 8 months. I still can't believe that you were six when you registered in the OB. I couldn't even type. You are really young as myself
except that I'm a year older. (14)
. Starting next year on April 13 will be my first whole year that I've been around. Yeah. I love the OB.
vegeta rocker
I joined in 2002 and i know i have alot to thank Ob for. I grew up in a household with no computer access except for school and computer literacey was a joke. I posted poorly the first time and got a kick in the rear for it. As i got older and better at computers i kept coming back to Ob since quite frankly, most other forums are just horribly run when you compare them to Ob. But here i am in 2006, i built the PC i am using and i learn something new from this place everyday. The Mods are great (most of them) and this really is a very fun place to just hang out. Whenever my anime interest wanes i am always welcome in the music forum or wherever i feel like being. There truly is something for everybody here it seems. Otakuboards is a part of me. But the lack of experience is showing since my video card is crapping up :(. I wish I can smack myself over the head. My first posts here were so stupid.
