Here's a question for you people who like the simple things in art. Do you draw stick figure comics?

Well for me, I do. I'm not the best manga artist out there. So why not draw little stick men. If you can draw great backrounds it can still go good. Right now I'm working on a comic called "Sword Of Might" The characters are simple stick figures. So it cuts production time in half! (Bad joke)

Plus I make a comedy comic called "Super Twins". It's to racy for the OB, but my friend's enjoy it.

So do you make stick figure comics? Do you plan on making them sometime?

I think everyone's drawn stick figures at some point in their lives, even if it was just as a toddler. I know I still like to. I used to make a popular one called The Adventures of Daily Comic, consisting of just that--a stick man named Daily Comic and his friends like Mo Hawk. Then I recently made a daily comic called Slackers In Slacks, which I've sadly retired.

I personally think that if you are drawing stick figure comics that you shouldn't draw backgrounds like in a manga. You should draw it looking a little funny. Like a bush shouldn't have all of the detail as in a manga, it should just be the outer rim of it. That would look good to me. Like a tree, you wouldn't draw all of the stump with the darker colors, you would just draw the outline of it, ya?

I think that I would do okay with all of the stick men, I really wanted someone to help me draw, but I guess its all past now. I don't have the same desire that I did when I first started. I used to draw them, and then I moved to manga. I just didn't get the hang of it (Ask Cancer). So, I desided to just put it to the side for a little bit and never picked it back up. I might pick it back up, I'm getting a feeling like I want to now, I just am not sure if I will stick with it, because I suck at it.

Oh well, good joke l:

Heeheehee, ah, the good ol' days. Yeah, I used to draw a stick figure comic called "Heko the Tiny Knight". I started drawing it in 7th grade, and continued right up to 9th. A friend of mine drew really detailed comics, but our buddies seemed to think that Heko was funnier. Not to say his weren't, I loved 'em. Every time I'd finish one, it seemed like I couldn't do much more with it, but then I'd have another one, and it was just as good.

Yeah, I never got the hang of really detailed manga-style art, though I still attempt it sometimes. Anyway, keep drawing stick figures, 'cause I'm sure you're good at it, and as along as it's funny, who cares how it looks?

In the seventh grade my friend and I made stick figure comics in our daily planners we had to have for school. We called in Carrot Man: The Saviour of Our World. It was pretty much this stupid little comic where a stick figure in a carrot mask who killed people we all the suddenly got mad at (from teachers, political figures, and the latest celebrities who did dumb stuff.) Now we just draw kind-of-chibi comics about ninjas. We've kind of upgraded.
