Claire
I borrowed this game from my friend a couple of days ago, and I must say I'm addicted to it. There's something about being able to stuff kids in trash cans that's very appealing. I haven't been paying too much attention to the actually storyline because it's been too much fun just beating the crap out of whoever I feel like. I read that people were highly against this game, however, and that it ALMOST got banned in my state. I'm really glad it didn't, though, because it's sucking up time that would've been otherwise spent whining about how Christmas is taking forever to get here. Personally, I like to run around and find conflicts happening between bullies and nerds. When I see one of those green sweatered kids getting picked on, I'll pull the bully off and rough him up a bit, or maybe stuff him into a locker. Once I saw a bully stuff someone in a locker, and I let the kid out and put the bully in there instead. I love to taunt the prefects and even beat them up, because it's easy to escape from them and hide in a garbage can. Who else likes Bully, then?
PWNED
I quite enjoyed it although it came close to not getting a PAL release because of the title; over in Australia and Europe they changed it to Canis Canem Edit so that the crybabies wouldn't go on about it glorifying bullying. That aside, It's really interesting in seeing Jimmy and how he acts to each of the factions and all of the awesome dialogue. I found it fun to dress up in the mascot costume and go around doing the 'Bullworth Bulls' dance. Very wicked game indeed although it is hilarious about how Jack Thompson reacted to its release. BlueYoshi
I bought the game a few weeks ago, and it's mediocre at best; it's more of a glorified version of GTA... bar the vehicles. Though unlike GTA, the missions became extremely repetitive and I only found myself playing the game for the sake of the story. It's an interesting premise and concept, but for how long will you find stuffing kids faces in fun before it starts to get repetitive?
Xyandar
I haven't played Bully yet but I've done quite a bit of research on this Rockstar game. I think it looks pretty neat. I like how they aregiving the game a GTA effect but giving you different situations...and you are a kid now instead of an Italian running the streets of Liberty.(not badmouthing GTA..i love that game). Graphic-wise, doesn't look too improved than the other games I've seen released for the PS2 lately. It has some decent effects(fire) but lacks certain lighting effects in places. The Storyline seems to be the most interesting part of the game, as Bombu stated. At first it would b e great to stuff kids in trash cans and lockers..but after my 300th locker-stuffed-kid, I wouldn't want to play it anymore.even for storyline lol..Its good just repetitive. Overall I'd give it a 7/10. i have yet to play it but it looks like a game I would rent to see what its like and if it entertains me enough to play it the next day, then I'd buy it.
