All right it's time to begin! ^_~ If there are any questions be sure to address them here. For now I'd like people to interact a little as we are in a prologue state as I'd like people to get familiar with each other before getting down to the main part of the story. Those of you who have objectives have already been sent PM's to that effect.

I have one question and that relates to the sectors you keep referring to. I understand that Earth is in Sector thirteen, but what I'm really curious about is just how many sectors there are total.

An indication of the time it takes to travel between them would be helpful as well. I?m going on the assumption that it takes a week or two, but some idea of the locations and scale would make it easier so I don?t get confused on that part.

[COLOR=RoyalBlue]That?s a good question and I actually do have a chart for the sectors, I meant to put it up so thanks for bringing that up. ^_^ It?s not the best chart but I don?t really know how to draw one, but it does give a good indication of the current layout. [URL=http://img86.imageshack.us/img86/5154/mapsu7.jpg][U]Sector Chart[/U][/URL] Each dot represents either a world that is inhabited like Earth or a dead planet that has a space station built there. The first six are all inhabited by Versilan?s; with sector one being their home world. Seven through twelve are all planets that have been taken over by the Versilan?s. Each world at the time it was taken over was about the same level or less than Earth?s current technology. With sector twelve being the most recent as it was taken over within the last twenty years.

The dots with no names are ones that the people are not technically inclined and have yet to be put on the list for conquest. Sector thirteen is of course where Earth is and the remaining sectors after that are in line to be taken over, except for sector fourteen, which use to be a base for the resistance until the military destroyed it. Though they will probably end up building a station there just to maintain order. The surrounding space on the edges is for all intents and purposes unexplored.

For simplicity sake I?ve been going along the lines that travel takes about two weeks between sectors using hyperspace, but I?m not too worried if the times don?t match completely. I intend for the chart just to be a guide and not something that has to be matched perfectly since I want everyone to have fun instead of worrying too much over making all the details match. ^_~ [/COLOR]

Thank you very much for the chart. ;) I would have done something silly with just plain dots and the numbers. That clears things up for me, though since my clearance is now apparently due to the resistance hacking the system, I wonder if I?m going to even get to use that knowledge for a while. ;_ ;

I guess i'm just waiting for someone's ship to come to Sector 12, and then I'll go from there. Everyone else seems to really know what they're talking about, so maybe I should go read the Silver One story.

I'm glad I'm in an RPG for once with actually talented people, now I just have to live up to the expectations as well.[/FONT]

I?ve got my post up and the merchant I referred to as already being there is actually looking for people that had been approached like your character was. So however you want to arrange it, the merchant is there to pick up your character and take him to meet with William.

I think other than you and Takuya the rest of us have read the story, we tried to provide all the basic in our sign ups and opening posts, but it was also easier since SunfallE gave most of us brief objectives for the prologue, like my stopping Darren's ship, though she didn't specify the reason why we stopped them. Still it gave me somewhere to start, as I?m not so creative to think of things on my own at times.

I?m glad you put that chart up to SunfallE. :p I hadn?t thought about it, but it ended up being useful in helping me structure my post in regards to poor Darren?s ship. I just realized what this was for. I even put it in my subscribed threads, but I must have been in a daze when I did so!

Anyway, you already know this but I thought I'd mention it here anyway, tomorrow and Monday and part of Tuesday there's a good chance I'll be away from any computer access as I plan on spending time with relatives who don't have access to the Internet.

So I just wanted to let everyone know I hadn't disappeared. ;) Especially since I'm having far to much fun to even think of stepping down. It's one thing to read the story, but another to be part of it. I'm glad you mentioned it to me SunfallE. :catgirl: No wonder people enjoy doing RPG's!

Take the bit between your character and indifference's, I'll be modifying the next objective due to the fact that you ended up getting arrested. ;)

As for the first major event, as soon as a few other relevant posts are put up I'll get that underway. Takuya has an objective that they will be posting, Mariskah will be handling the meeting between her character and mine and JimitheGreat11 will end up on their way towards Earth as well.

Which brings me to another point, if anyone feels like my objectives are too restrictive or if I haven't given enough information for you to get started, please be sure to let me know. I?ve got plenty of details for them but I don?t want to be so controlling that it interferes with people putting their own ideas into the RPG.

As for your posts Rachmaninoff, indifference is right about your description of Jared via Mike. Good lord! I just died laughing when I read that part. :catgirl:[/COLOR]

[b]Weapons:[/b] Daego carries a standard-issue firearm, but he specializes in heavy weapons. He doesn't have the training necessary to use the most advanced explosives, but he knows how to use almost every other single-user heavy weapon there is. Others deal with enemy personell; Daego takes out the armored targets.

Daego is one of the few Versilans skilled at manual piloting as well as working with the automatic piloting systems.

[b]Personality: [/b]To Daego, the objective comes first. He'll do whatever he has to in order to complete his objectives. He won't necessarily like doing these things, but he'll do them. Daego takes his role as a soldier quite seriously. He does agree with the belief that the Versilans are a superior race, but he isn't cruel to those of other races or anything like that. He believes that as a superior race, it is the Versilans' duty to protect and regulate the other, 'inferior' races.

[b]Short Bio: [/b]Daego was raised to believe that Versilans are superior to other races, and he still believes this. However, his belief about the Versilans' duty to protect and regulate said races came entirly from himself, and it is because of that belief that he joined the millitary. During his millitary carrer, he has always objected to those who treat members of other races cruelly, which has earned him both positive and negative reputations, depending on whether one agrees or disagrees with him.[/color][/color]

And if what I was thinking doesn?t match, I?m sure someone will think of something that would have both of them concerned. After all the Crimson is almost at Earth so it could just be that they?ve noticed that they?ve arrived. Which from my standpoint would be a problem.

I love how you did your part Crystia it will certainly make it more lively for your character and Darren?s character.

Anyway, the next part is ready to commence! The post is up and everyone has recieved their new objectives. With one exception and that is Takuya. Your objective is going to come from indifference in her post as she will be briefing your characters on their duties. If you want to throw in a post or two about arriving and your characters observations about Earth that would be great. If not that's fine too.
