what is a year to the gulgous gulf of expansions and coincidances and collisions and symbioses that is the universe in all its stunning afinite glory?

what is an eon to it, but the blink of a third eye which is trying to pry itself open

what is millenia but a sand of a sea of seconds flowing through a great desert of cacti and pulsars

what is man but a mad dream, who dreams his own madness

i plan to run half a marathon, if not a full marathon, by '07's end.

also will learn how to astral project.

also will attempt to write some kind of a novel once again.

also will learn to make psytrance.

Interesting, most interesting.

Still mid-afternoon here in the GMT time zone, only another nine and a half hours to go before the new year. 2007 will hopefully prove to be a year of marked achievement academically for myself, as university is on the horizon in 2008 and work done properly now will pay off then.

Ah, 11 hours until the double-oh-seven.

I plan on maybe gaining some weight... I'm pretty sure my weight for my height is unhealthy.
Of course, I also want to be drum major... ahhh...
And then my never-ending goal... a boyfriend would be nice.
Happy New Year, OtakuBoards.

2006 was pretty good for me. It's been the most drama-tastic year so far, both in theatre and tension. I had a couple of small roles in a high school play in March, I was Miss Hannigan in the musical Annie this summer, and I was Veruca Salt's understudy in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in October. I also switched from the high school I attended last year to the all my friends go to, which was the greatest thing that could've happened to me.

There were a few low points, namely after the musical was over and when school started again. Regardless, I'm sort of sad that 2006 is over.

Today is also my OB birthday. I've actually been here longer than a year, but under a different account.
My thought is solely that the title of this thread isn't funny on any level.
I agree, is it really that hard to just simply say Happy New Year? Perhaps its funny to those who use the Internet more, but to the rest of us it just looks like gibberish.

As for the actual holiday, I was suppose to go and spend time with some relatives, but one of them has become quite sick with pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital today so that ended any plans we had. I'll be spending my first day of the year going to visit them briefly since they live within an hours drive.

Beyond that, my goal is to continue working on some photo albums and then another project I started of putting a dry stream in my back yard with various types of rocks and such. I've already drawn up the plans and I'm looking forward to when the weather will be agreeable enough for me to really get started.

My goal for 07? Do something. Anything. Finally write a novel, finally learn guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, or violin, finally start a band, finally make a friend, finally go outside, finally beat Shadow Hearts Covenant, Xenosaga, Disgaea, and many others, finally start caring about something, finally get my *** outta bed...

It'll be a year of finallys and I'm damn sure a lot of this WILL be happening cuz I'm done screwing around.

Double o' six was good for me. I of course had some bad times, but thats expected. Everyone has some bad times, so I wouldn't really count those bad times in my yearly rating. I would rate this year 100 out of 100. I did everything I wanted to do and I don't have any regrets. Leave no regrets on the field, ya?

I mean, I won a tournament (Well tied with one of my brothers), I did the hardest program ever (it is supposed to help you get faster. I just finished 3 or 4 days ago), and I was able to jump out of my boundries of being scared. I had alot of fun this year. If you ask the same question next year, I will still give it a perfect score. Knowing that I will have no regrets. Thats my life for you, though I would like to have some things done by next year, I know I will do them.

I've come to find most things on the Internet turn out to be gibberish on some level.

2006 was a year of.. working. I had a job at a fast-food place that I loathed to the point that I finally quit a couple of months back. I made several good friends there and it finally got me out of my apathetic lurch in regards to college. I also met my girlfriend there so it wasn't too terrible.

I've already been accepted to a college and next year I'll be heading there in the autumn. I'll be finding a new job sometime soon and I hope to spend more time with my girlfriend. I think I'm going to lose some weight and I might try to pick up the guitar just to amuse myself.

I might write a novel about a young man learning how to play five to six instruments and inadvertently discovering that he can astrally project into the body of a marathon runner. I think I'll call the book "What the **** is this book about? and other assorted tales".

006 has been a hard year on me, I mean, I found out that I have anxiety disorder, my clincal depression has gotten worse, and I've been recently diagnosed with insomnia. I've left so many important people behind in London, my sister courtney; my brother juilan; my "girlfriend" Ash; and bunch of other people, that have made a positive impact on my life.

My goals, for the forthcoming year? get over London, get my brother, sister, and Ash to come down here for summer hoilday. Finish my academic work, get this third EP finshed, and other things that I just cant think of at the moment.

Yeah, happy new year all. It's about two hours from 2007 here in the UK, and my dad is at this very moment preparing a cocktail fueled with all kinds of alcohol which I?m very much looking forward to necking, so I think this new year is going to be one to remember... or not.

Once more, happy new year and have a great time where ever ye may be!

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. . . . 2006, that is. My "summer of Guild Wars" was pretty damn awesome, since I basically just sat around and played video games (mainly GW) the whole time. But then starting college after twelve cushy years of homeschooling kind of sucked. I'm still doing good, but school actually requires time and effort now. :animecry:

As for 2007, I don't really have any special plans and I've never been one for resolutions. But I do want to try and get out and do stuff with friends more often than this past year. I spend way too much time holed up in my room.

Nine minutes ago it was a New Year over here... so... yeah, Happy New Year folks (the fireworks in London are awesome, too! I wish I was in London, but for now I'll watch them on TV, lol).

Honestly, 2006 was boring. I got some new drums, new room, loads of stuff but the year was actually boring. Even though I don't have any special plans for 2007 I'm I'm determined to make it a lot more interesting. Towards Christmas I met some new friends, started going out a lot more and staying out for a few more hours so I plan to let that continue for the rest of the new year and maybe it won't be as boring as the last, lol.

Happy New Year (again), folks.

Well, I would just try to graduate middle school and try to get aboved 85 on all the texts/quizzes... which is totally impossible. I would also hope that during the summer of 2007 I would visit China... haven't gone there in two years and its pretty sad if I can't go this year also. I've always gone there during the summer... Well Happy New Years Eve!~`<3

I wish I had more money so I could go to college instead of High School for 2007. >_< Other than that my goals are almost always the same, discover new authors and get in lots of hiking, reading and fun times with my friends.

I also want to learn how to do Swedish weaving next year too. ^_^ And though it?s still 2006 for me, Happy New Year everyone! ^_~

31 minutes ago was my New Year. (I was watching the fireworks too, Vicky! Those people must be completely blind.)

2006 was a mixed year for me--I turned sixteen, which was good, and I done well in my high school final exams. Started college in September and have been...well, doing well would be a little too far, I think, but I'm enjoying myself. I've vowed to start working harder on my grades in college now, so hopefully 2007 will bring rewards.

I'm also going to start learning how to drive. Ph34r, innocent English drivers. =p

About 6 hours till New Year comes in.

Anyways, 2006 wasn't all that bad. My grades are getting better, I got accepted into the college I wanted to go to, I met a really great person, I've gotten closer to some friends, I've met new friends, and just overall had what every average joe has- a life.

Yet somehow, I dread it being 2007. For one, I'm graduating [thank goodness]. But other than that, I'm not really expecting anything from 2007. After all, you can't get disappointed if you don't expect anything. And please excuse my pessimistic view on things, I was never really big on what my future has in store for me.

Anyways, hope everyone has a great New Year and don't do anything that I would do. =P

2006 was a good year for me. I got my driver license(three years late), and bought myself a car. I've become closer to some family, yet kind of became more distant to friends. I've learned alot more about myself and I've been trying to think alot about my future.

I pray that in 2007 I'll figure out what I want to do with my life. I'm getting older now and I still contemplate joining the air force, strongly, but I am still not sure.

My little brother graduates from high school in 2007 as well. I really hope he can get passing grades though, otherwise he'll have to go to summer school again. He has been having alot of trouble in his classes.

I am also thinking about taking a trip to Japan in July, but nothing is final. I hope I can save the money I need and finally be able to do it. I've been wanting to visit Japan for years.

I also pray that I can focus really hard on all my requirments I need for my black belt test which should occur around august/september-ish.

Its 10:49 PM right now, so I've still got some time untill next year. Good luck to everyone in all their endeavours for the new year!

Happy New Year! ^_^
(I was watching the fireworks too, Vicky! Those people must be completely blind.)
You mean the ones in London, around the Eye? They were damn impressive, if only for the sheer length of the display. I was impressed by the first ten seconds, and it must have continued for about five minutes, getting brighter and louder by the second.

This year can be summed up into one word: drama. Drama in school, at home, at extracurricular activites, in the media, and everywhere else. It has been an awesome year at sometimes and other times it hasn't. I hope next year will be even better.

Next year, I'm going to give up eating McDonald's everyday and I want to make next year the best one yet because it shall be the last one in my school. They say that the theme of 2007 is peace, love, and happiness. I hope so.

Happy Freakin New Year!!!

Great way to start off a new year (Metalocalypse marathon -- now all on DVR box hehe)! Gettin hyped up on absurd amounts of pizza and 'sparkling cider' (cheesy to say, fun to drink), watching Metalocalypse and Red vs. Blue and hangin out. Hour later -- completely psychoanalyzing my brother (so random! but it lasted 5 hours!)

Waking up at 2:30 is exactly where I want the new year to begin recognizing me. This is a chain I don't need severed -- a chain of hapiness! That's the theme of '07 for me!

My resolution ended up being -- "I WILL START A BAND!!!" And I'll be damned if we aren't recording by December. Hell WILL be raised this year (for me), I promise myself.

Hope all your New Years went as well as mine, and hope you're all ready for an awesome, crazy, and in my case, totally metal year!!!

2006 was pretty good for me. I got out of a bad relationship, had a good summer, cut my hair short for the first time in my life, made a bunch of new friends, and survived the hardest semester of my life.

Onward and upward!
