Everytime there's a debate thread, I read what Retri's written, and then I'm like, "damn, he said EXACTLY what I wanted to say!" Plus he's nice enough to humor me and my silly conversations. >_>

[b]What is it?[/b] Mafia. Mafia was SO much fun to play. I really had a great time. It was simple to play, and yet complicated as well, to figure out who the mafia was. Everyone played so well, and it was just great!

[b]What is it?[/b] Otakupedia. We've had certain archives of Otakuboards things in the past - Otakudaily, um... that site that breko had with OB stuff, the picture site by QA hosted by Tony, the Otakupike (shy!!), but Otakupedia is really nifty because it's RIGHT on the boards, it's organized, and you can see exactly what's in it. And yes, Charles always comes up with nifty ideas.

[b]What is it?[/b] DeathKnight, aka Ken. YOU! *points finger accusingly* You had BETTER PM me or something. You're never on AIM. *whines* Oh, I'm not supposed to be talking TO you, but about you. Gotcha. Right. Ken is intelligent but funny and sarcastic, all at the same time. He has great potential to become the next Stephen Colbert or Jon Stewart, only about a hundred times better. And he's never afraid to speak his mind, which I admire about him. =)[/color]

The MAMA thread, the recent Adventure Square thread (which is flying along with over 50 posts in less than twenty-four hours), and of course the unparalleled....

[B]Why is is nifty?[/B] Well, it hasn't died yet. The whole thing started back in September and was a thread I had actually considered applying to, if I hadn't had so much crud to worry about. Aside from that, [COLOR=DarkRed]Vicky[/COLOR] seems to be doing a masterful job of controlling the plot without actually controlling much at all. I've been watching it the whole time, and I've seen two real storylines evolving: one with most of the members and another centered around Charles [[COLOR=DarkRed]Ozy J.[/COLOR]], Dani [[COLOR=DarkRed]Vicky[/COLOR]], and Juliet [[COLOR=DarkRed]Revalation[/COLOR]]. Reading the underground is fun as well because it gives me insight on what and how the big names are thinking as they're writing.

[B]Why is it nifty?[/B] Read for yourself. Every time the author ([COLOR=DarkRed]kalon[/COLOR]) has posted another segment, I get another twenty minutes of absolute bliss. I'm not able to get to a library much anymore, so to have found reading material this good makes my day.[/FONT]

Actually she's the first mod that truely helped me out when I became mod especially when a few others, ahem, who weren't a mod at the time weren't too happy with the decision. I really appreciate the support and for that she earns the first spot on my list. Dragon Warrior for obvious reason, and he's the only one I've recently kept in the most contact w/on my short break. Cancer because he seems to be the only one who ever replies to my graphic requests (did I mention his work kicks ***?) and Panda because her banner/avatar sets are always so cute and she stays true to her name. (I swear she can find any panda picture on the planet, amazing). Hrmmm...that's all I can think of for now.

[B]Why?[/B]: These people are absolutely amazing (and not just because I'm one of them :P). Otakuboards is probably the smartest, most well-organized message board I've ever been to, and the moderator staff (and higher, of course) all help keep it together. It's not just work work work, though. Sure, we're like the police of OB, but there is a ton of hilarity and fun that ensues behind the scenes. I'm very happy to be on the team, and not just for the cookies and partying. Those are just a nice bonus.

That might be the only one from me. I wish I could come up with more but at the moment I'm avoiding working on a research paper.[/FONT]

Over the past year they have both proved their worth to the community, making the competition for becoming OB?s next Event Master much more interesting in the process.

These two members, more than any others, defined the past year at OtakuBoards. Regardless of the outcome, both should be proud of the hard work they put into their respective events. The community and I are extremely thankful.

[/b]The most original game thread I've seen on the board. Although I was a bit to busy to go flitting through Wiki links to solve the clues, I enjoyed reading the results and the links that liked two totally different ideas together. Thus, it is nifty.

[/b]Shinje is nifty because he is the second most ignored person on the OtakuBoards (couldn't event get the most ignored title....curses, Mr. Maul!) and despite his RPG attempts failing at every turn, his only success being the creation of two sequels to a RPG created by another member, Shinje has stuck with the OB, though nowadays he prefers to mull about the Otaku Arts & Entertainment exclusively, and nominate himself for awards.

Shinje has decided this course of action might suit him better this Nifty Fifty than last years attempt to threaten dogs with certain death. Shinje figures if it's good for charles, it's good for his non-equivalent.

However, they do sometimes draw attention away from original stories...
