2006, while a great year for music, gave us nothing in the realm of movies. While we did get the best TV show ever (METALOCALYPSE!!!) there wasn't really much going on with TV.

2007 looks to be much nicer, though. Here's some of the things to look forward to....

- Spiderman 3
- Transformers the movie
- TMNT
- Possibly the Hobbit

and much more I assume. So, what're you looking forward to? Personally I'm on the edge of my seat for Transformers. The previews have shown us so little, but it still looks totally sick!!!

You must have missed this one:

Crank, Borat, Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, etc. are some other good ones.

Seriously. From what I've seen, 2007 is going to have SOOO many more crappy movies than 2006. For 2007 so far, I'm only looking forward to Transformers and Epic Movie so far.

Huh. Personally, I didn't find the trailers to Transformers or TMNT all that impressive, and I really wish that we had more to look forward to in 2007 then re-hashes things that have been done before. I mean, the Spiderman series is pretty good, but still, its just a movie version of a comic. The Hobbit just a visualization of a book (And its been done as a cartoon movie before too).

On that note, Pirates of the Carribean: At Worlds End should be good, and Smokin' Aces looks really cool. But other then that... looks like a slow year. Ghost Rider looks terrible, although maybe Cage can save it, and who the hell wants to see a movie about how Hannibal Lector became a demented psychopath (Hannibal Rising... I'm not kidding). I really don't know what else is coming out of any significance, but it seems like a slow year. Nothing original, anyway...

As for music, well, I'm not sure. I know Rush has a new studio album that should be out sometimes this year (Who knows... they're like Blizzard, always missing deadlines and always producing quality stuff!) and I'm looking foward to that, but I don't know what else is on the way. I've heard rumblings of Van Halen getting back together (Looking for a vocalist... they had Sammy Hager set up for a while but that fell through, so I don't know what's going to happen there. They've also got Eddie's son playing bass now... Geez, it must be really awkward when the groupies come back stage to sleep with the band...) and putting out a new album, but who knows if they've still got anything left in them.

EDIT: Ah, I just remembered, HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO AMSTERDAM! That movie is going to friggin RULE!

I'm most excited for a couple of concerts and local shows this year. The one that tops the list is the AFI concert on February 2nd, which is sort of something I've been waiting for since I first heard them in 2003. I'm not sure if this is before or after my school's Battle of the Bands, which was amazing last year and I'm expecting it to be just as amazing this year. The last planned concert I'm going to is Trans-Siberian Orchestra, which will probably happen sometime in November, which is becoming a tradition between my father and I.

Speaking of TSO, their next album "Nightcastle" is supposed to becoming out sometime this year. Of course, they said 2006 when I saw them in 2005, and they said 2007 when I saw them last year, so I don't know for sure. I really want this album mainly for their version of "Carmina Burana," but I'm sure it will have other great tracks as well.

I think Rasputina's new album is coming out this year, too, so I'm going to have to save up for that.

House and Supernatural start again soon, so I'm looking forward to that. Heroes starts here this year as well, so that'll be interesting. Time to see if it lives up to the hype yo.

Apart from that, I take it as it comes.

Heroes and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, two of the best shows on television right now. UFC 67, and The Ultimate Fighter 6: The Lightweights. Also *crosses fingers* the next season of So You Think You Can Dance? Call me weird if you want, but that's a damned good show.

Also looking forward to Spider Man 3, Ghost Rider, Smokin' Aces, and Children of Man.

Rich Boy and Chamillionaire's next album is also supposed to come out this year I believe. Looking forward to those.

Added: The next PotC and The Bourne Ultimatum

Snakes on a plane, not seriously. My brother said that it was good so I watched it.
Two hours of my life that I will never get back.

As for 2007 movies

Pirates Of The Carribean will be amazing
Hannibal Rising - Has to be interesting at the very least, I loved all of them
Spiderman 3 - Enough said
28 Weeks Later - Sequel to 28 days
10.000 B.C - Looks interesting

For music I normally listen to what is good on the radio.

Somehow I forgot about T.V... Heroes and House are the only shows that I have been into lately.

Oh yea, I'm also looking forward to Afro Samurai. As far as I know, it's a SpikeTV exclusive anime starring Samuel L. Jackson as a black samurai in a generic plot done with awesome style and full of great fights. I watched the first episode and it's just incredible, very well animated. CHECK IT OUT!

Feh... 2006 IMO was a crappy year for movies. (as well as 2005) Atleast for my taste anyway. (Yep, I have no taste at all) I mean there were a few good ones, but that's just a few. Fearless, Pirates of the Carribbean 2 and that's all I can really think of that came out in 06. Mind you, I haven't been to the theatres in years (since year 2000... other than an incident that happened around that time) since most of these movies nowadays haven't sparked any interest. For 2007, I'm looking forward to seeing Spider-man 3 and Bourne Ultimatium (and so far that's only 2 movies that really interests me.... so far, it's a gloomy start with movies), and then Crank, and The Protector on DVD, and waiting to see The Covenant on dvd when it arrives in the mail. Oh yeah... I think Rush Hour 3 might be coming out this year too.

For music... wow... Nothing. I'm pretty much no longer interested in the music industry. I don't listen to the radio anymore since they play the same ol' re-hashed music. (in my case, R&B, hip hop.. whatever) I don't buy cd's anymore either because I'm certain my friends will have them (or my sister's friends), or I'll hear it somewhere in my neighborhood.

The tv industry. Now we're talking, but sadly, I'm only interested in a couple of things on that as well. 24 season 6 I believe. And I'm with The Boss when he says So You Think You Can Dance.
Oh yeah... I think Rush Hour 3 might be coming out this year too.[/b'].
Hmm, I thought Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan are still arguing about how production will go.

I'm looking forward to The Hellenic Terror by Kronos. I simply love that band. There's also The Marrow of a Bone by Dir en grey but i think it'll be sub-par since the last few singles aren't so good =\, I miss their VULGAR days.

I'm also looking forward for Time by Wintersun and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Good year for music eh?

Oh, god. So many movies. Let's see here...

Transformers

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Pirates of the Carribean 3

Epic Movie

Spiderman 3

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Bridge to Terabithia

300

Shrek the Third

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Evan Almighty

Zodiac

Hostel: Part II

Ghost Rider

Just to name a few. All of these movies have trailers you can check out (some are only teasers, but they're there) so it's not like I'm just picking them because of their name (aside from Pirates, haha). :)

Ooh, didn't know Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was being made into a film! Thanks for the info.
I can't wait for Pirates of the Carribean 3. :animesmil
Oh and I'm sure Shrek 3 and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be great.

That's about it really.
