New Year's Resolution

It's the time of year when everyone has a goal or resolution for the new year. So I want to know what's your New Year's Resolution?

It could be going to the gym.

Eating healty.

All that sort of stuff that you want to improve.

Well, my New Year's Resolution would be... to Just Be Myself. It's pretty basic and not a lot. But it does mean that I can be the type of person who people will see me as my true self. Now I don't have to act like I have a cool personality or anything. I'm already popular myself but hey, I now what my goal in life is.

So, I'll ask again, What's you New Year's Resolution??

Eat more junk.

I've been slipping of late. Putting three pieces of bacon on my processed-meat-based subways instead of four, putting only half a cap of vanilla extract in my milkshakes, getting pepperonni instead of five-meat pizza, drinking only one can of coke/rootbeer a day, etc etc...

On that note, another thing I need to improve on:

Watch more TV/Play more computer games.

I mean, yeah I'm still sitting around and all, but I'm doing nothing while I sit; I'm wasting valuable brain-melting hours to reading and the like. It's unacceptable. I can't believe I slipped as much as I have. Good thing I got a few new games this Christmas or I might have started thinking again!

While we're on the subject...

Learn to use Flash.

I mean, seriously... I have no idea how to use Flash but it'd be so cool if I could... Then I'd, like, make a really cool uh... Flash series or something and post it on Newground and become a total internet celeberity, like Brent Simon or FPS Doug!

And finally...

Nerd out more.

I'm too busy sitting around these days I barley have time to get together with my friends and argue about who would win in a fight between Gordon Freeman and Darth Vadar (It'd be Gordon Freeman BTW) or why a Lich could not survive in Mexico City or discuss the near-total lack of Star Wars porn on the internet... Man do I miss the good ol' days...

My new years resolution to eat less and exercise more has already failed. Resolutions arepointless anyhow.

Instead, I'm going to get into wholefoods this year, some time, I guess. I don't need the added pressure of changing afresh on New Years (totally pointless, did I mention?) to go with that.

By the way, Wholefoods medicine rocks my socks. I reccommend. :)

Last year's resolution was a huge one for me (at the time). Of course, all of them, for the past four or five years, have been about giving up something for one year. In a short list, I haven't even touched soda, saccharine candy, fast food, kool-aid-- and last year, I gave up ramen.

The cool part? I felt pretty dang good after the midnight of the last day; so I decided to give up all those things for good!

But this new year's resolution is slightly difficult for me: chocolate. That's right- no chocolatey goodness for a full 365 days, haha. And, to reveal the wimp in me, I'll probably go inwardly insane by March~.

Then again, I'll probably make it through-- I've succeeded in all my past goals. This one's just a bit tougher, hehe. Doing this also shows how much I don't really need those extra perks in life. I'll probably bump up to two things a year come 2008 (one materialistic item), just to make the "game" more fun. =D *ding*

 • 2 weeks later...
My resolutions are almost always the same, to keep getting good grades in school so I don?t lose the scholarships I currently have. And to be more patient with the people where I live. I?m not religious and sometimes their overzealous attitude really grates on my nerves.

But most importantly, I always resolve to spend so many hours a week goofing off, otherwise all I do is work and study. Something that makes me grouchy in the long run.

I suppose my resolutions would be these:

Try and relax a bit. There's been a lot of angst and stress for me over the year of 2006, so hopefully I can just shrug that off and live happier.

Get accustomed to being 18... but I'm not going to take that oppotunity to get drunk or anything. I know better than that.

Go to the gym more often. I'm quite leen, but I feel I could be a bit stronger.
