[B][COLOR=RoyalBlue][FONT=Comic Sans MS] It was another bad day, another boring day for Akiko being bored at work was nothing new for her either, it had been this way for years and she was growing tired of it. She had always had a feeling that there was something more in the world that she could be doing but she never thought that she would learn it this night. The final toll sounded giving her the signal to start home and she did, jogging through the park as she always did to get home.

Jogging at an easy pace she made her way through the park and stopped only for a moment to get a drink of water at the fountain; but it was this small stop that cost her dearly. Out of the shadows a man grabbed her and held a knife to her back- that was the last thing she remembered as she woke up. Sitting up in bed she looked out across her room to the elderly man sitting in her butterfly chair. His beard reached his lap and he sat stroking it and puffing on a pipe, he looked up as she began to get out bed still in her jogging clothes. He held out his hand to her and she recalls taking it and ending up here, with the world at her feet as she sat on top of the empire state building; a large scythe laying next to her and two large leathery wings resting against her back, all she could think of was that her grandfather was right; there really was more to the world then what you could see.

That small stop in the park put her into a world she only thought existed in her dreams and gave her a job that she would never be bored at ever again. She was now a guardian for the next Savior, the next great human to be born. It was her job, as well as others that had been chosen to guard and guide the young man or women who would become the leader of the people in the years to come, leading them to final world wide peace, and it was their job to protect this person from the ones who would see the world crumble and be destroyed.

She sat there looking down into the city or New York, a city she loved to visit, and waited patiently for the one who would be her captain to join them, and the one she would shield to be born. She had been given a new life in the after life and planned on making this one the best life she could make it; Not life she did as a human.

Bert is not the warm boy he once was. A turbulent life slowly wore him down, and now, after death, he is indifferent and cold, an iceberg. His frigid exterior hides his calculating and precise thoughts. He's always in the present; observing and soaking in surroundings, sitatuions, always analyzing people and reading not just their words but the meaning of their actions. [I]If you learn everything you can about your enemies[/I], he thinks, [I]then there is no way you can be defeated[/I]. This pensiveness passes in the rage of battle. Bert believes that if you shoot before you think you'll never miss; if you think before you shoot your hand will never reach the gun. He treats conversation similarly.
[B]Appearance:[/B] At first glance he looks unassuming- it could be the guy who works across the street at Foot Locker. He has short, dark hair that looks as though it's never been touched by a comb. Standing 5 feet and 11 inches, he does not have intimidating size, but his strong presence can make him seem of greater size. In his head sit cool, blue eyes that gaze upon the scenes that make up his life. He often wears a navy blue corduroy jacket with yellow trim around the wrists that once was a letterman jacket, but the letters and other embroidery have since been stripped. His jeans fit him loosely and look as faded as his eyes. The casual, easyging, friendly visage slowly fades and when he smiles, and is replaced with an unsettling and sinister grin. One that is dying to spill blood.

Appearance: Dark blue hair w/purple tips. His eyes are never seen, for they show the shame he feels inside. He wears an armor made of turquoise and onyx. Cursed by his brother to wear it until he or his brother dies.

Weapon: the Time Blade and the Blue Salamander.
Time Blade: given to Noell the day his father died. His father entrusted him with the fate of his people. Blue Salemander: a blade made of rare blue onyx, and a blue crystal known only to his people.
