Now it has come time to announce the fourth game of survival, which will be the greatest of them all. This is?

One Survivor[/i][/center]

In [b]OtakuBoards Survivor 4[/b], four teams of players will face the challenges that OtakuBoards, one of the largest and best message boards on the whole internet, has to offer. Unlike the previous OB Survivor, the players won?t take any roles, but they will play as themselves in real time, writing in first person like they would do in any other thread outside the Arena.

I, Sandy, will [b]host[/b] the game and choose the players out of hopefully dozens of willing candidates. I will assemble the four teams and pit them against various [b]challenges[/b] inspired by the different forums of OtakuBoards. In order to survive these challenges, the players must show their talents in team work as well as in individual performances. These challenges test the teams? abilities in imagination, creativity, logic, writing, graphics, roleplaying, puzzle-solving, cunning and general knowledge.

However, there are no requirements to what skills a single player must possess when entering the contest, except the ability to give all one?s got for the good of their team, and in the end for their own survival. Anyone can join in, no matter how long they have been a member here.

What makes this contest about surviving is that after every challenge, the losing team(s) will have to vote out one of their own on [b]Team Councils[/b], but there are many twists and turns along the way, as already evicted players may make comebacks and new players might show up in the middle of everything. You can never know what to expect next in this contest.

Making return to OB Survivors are the [b]Team Captains[/b]. Each team will choose a leader for themselves, one who holds responsibility of the effectiveness of their team, and in the case of tie in voting, his or her vote will be the decisive one. Team Captain can be put on trial whenever one of the team members feels it?s time for a change.

Aside from this thread, the game will take place in five separate threads over at the Adventure Square. One is the [b]Main Thread[/b], where most of the major challenges occur. This is also the place for the Team Councils. Then there are the four [b]Team Threads[/b], one for each, and these are private areas that no-one else besides the team members and I can write into them. These threads will hold planning for the challenges, personal interviews as well as any idle chatter that the team wishes to share with each other.

But yes, a long book would keep me amused and be used for braining people who get annoying, or for burning if the need came.

Well, I was in the last Survivor and ended up getting distracted midway through the game. I let my team down by not posting in crucial challenges and I was rightly given a unanimous vote to leave the game. I want to prove to myself more than anything that I can go far and make an effort to work with a team properly.

Also, I don't post outside of the Arena very often, so this would be a good chance to interract with people who I don't usually get a chance to work with.[/SIZE]

Hmmm, if I got stuck on a deserted island I think I'd want to bring a box/crate of emergency supplies; including food, fresh water, cotton blankets, solar stills, flares and rain catchers.

The real reason I want to participate in OBS4 is because it's a thrilling ride, always exciting and challenging. I've been in two other installments before this, which were Final Fantastic Survivor, and Otakuboards Survivor: Game On! and they were great to be in. Bur now that we'll be playing as ourselves with challenges related to the boards, I'm even more excited. I'm interested in how the teams will be put together, hopefully putting people together who usually don't come into contact. I'm totally in for the ride, but more of to play with others hopefully from out of the Arena so I can get to know other members better.

Also I hope to win this one or to get as far as last time, because last time I got so close, only to lose my last challenge by a point, which lost me the game. And I was still new when Final Fantastic Survivor was on, which made me easy to vote off since my posts weren't substantial.[/COLOR] [/SIZE]

Why do you want to participate to OtakuBoards Survivor 4?
I participated in Game On and couldn?t get enough of the competition and plotting that went on behind the scenes. It was so much fun and I got to know a lot of OB members a lot better through the game. Making new friends is always a good thing. That and I'm out for blood this time around~.

I talk to so many people here on OB and have gotten close to so many of them (at least I have in my opinion; you never know what they think of you, lol) that it really is hard for me to put only one name as an answer, fearing that someone might message me about it and sound playfully upset but really are upset with me. And yes, I'm well aware that I'm over-analyzing the question.

So I'll just say [b]Stuart[/b], because talking with/listening to/hearing about him always makes me happy.

A laptop computer. With wireless internet and a never-dying battery, of course. I consider the attachments part of the computer, so it counts as one thing. ( :P ) I wouldn't be able to live if I couldn't check all the forums, webcomics, and art sites I frequent. It may not be edible, but I figure it might help me got off that island quicker, or at least keep me from losing what little I have left of my sanity.

RPGs are my thing, here on OB, though I'm not well known for it. Epic RPGs (ie. the last few OB:Survivors) are not things I thrive in, but I'd like to fix that. I participated in Game On and was barely active after the first round, and I can't even remember why. So, to make up for it (to both myself and the other players), I'd like to give it another shot, this time with much more dedication throughout.[/SIZE][/INDENT]

A [b]banana[/b], because it's a good source of potassium. I would eat it. Then I would cry over its peel/corpse because I would be stuck on a desert island with no more food. But at least I would have had some cheery yellow for awhile.

I've been on the OB for 10 months now, but I haven't had that much interaction with other members outside of a few forum posts. I'm sort of shy about approaching people, so I think an event like this would be a good way to get more involved in the Boards. So hopefully, if I get accepted, I can change social interaction from a weakness to a strength.[/color][/font]

Yes, an enemy would be fine because over time, your differences will resolve and you'll both realize you're both in the same pickle and you need to work together to get out of it. Just like in the movies. Besides, when it all comes down to it, friends are truely the only thing that can make you happy when all else fails. And if none of my friends would come, maybe I'll bring a muppet. Do you want just online friends? Because one of my best friends is a member here. They are the reason I even joined myOtaku and then OB in the first place. But for people I've never met in real life, I would have to say I consider SunfallE a friend as she's helped me with everything from the very beginning. From when I started over at myOtaku to when I signed up over here at OB. And she's lots of fun to chat with online as well.

Something for music, even if it wouldn't last long or was just a flute (which I don't know how to play) I'd go nuts without music.

It relates to question number five and my friend here. Not only would it be interesting to meet new people, but also playing in the same game with her would be totally cool. -My best friend Samantha. I love her company and she pretty much satisfies every facet of what I need in human companionship. I could survive along side the Island's accommodations as long as she was with me.

Since being shown the past threads by my unofficial OB history teacher [b]Sakura[/b], the creativity and intrigue in the concept of the game captured my attention as being something fun and different from your normal RP. It mixes aspects of competition with aspects of teamwork, and breeds massive amounts of interactivity. This I also hope will involve myself making more friends and getting to know other people better of those whom i have not had the chance to talk with much or yet.

I've wanted to get in on an OB Survivor since reading just a few pages into OBS: Game On (which I read first of the past 3). I've waited for the opportunity and here it is. I want to make the fun and inventive events that OBS's participants must go through my own experience, rather then just read them from the outside.

The very first person I became friends with was Panda. She's just an amazing person. I've made some other great friends as well. Because being part of Labyrinth was tons of fun and other than to read the previous Survivor games, I didn't get to be a part of it, so this time I'd like to be part of it instead of watching it. :catgirl: Also, like Crystia I absolutely detest the Survivor shows I rarely last more than ten minutes before changing the channel, but a OtakuBoards survivor is something I'm betting will be a nifty experience.[/COLOR]

So [U]Vicky's[/U] definately the closest thing to a friend that I have on OB

It?s somewhat obvious, but my biggest talent is the Arena and the Anthology. I?m semi infamous for going over the top when it comes to detail ? Citius Altius Fortius was 10 pages long in just its sign ups, after all.

I?m mainly a writer, however; thus, I tend to post just as many stories as RPs. I still post them, even though not too many people tend to post comments about them. I guess I?m just sort of stubborn like that.

My main weakness is definitely Art. I just cannot draw. Period. Stick figures make better poses than my poor attempts at realism. And I can?t do crap with Photoshop.

I would have to go with Kitty. Her use of emoticons is genius, and she?s such a cool person. Whenever I need a pick me up, I just go IM her. 5 minutes later, and I?m as good as new. Seriously, psychologists should employ her for her awesomeness.

Probably best RL friend, RiflesAtRecess. He?s the type of person that can figure out how to make an awesome situation out of anything, even if we were all alone on an island in the middle of nowhere with no food except ourselves.

I?ve always found Survivor intriguing, even though I think it has long gone past its run. I?ve day dreamed a million and a half possibilities of what would happen if by some wild chance I got into a Survivor game.

I?m assuming you want me to list someone I don?t know in real life. Putting aside actual physical needs, I?d take some music with me. If you can?t have people or other things around then music is definitely something that would help you to stay sane.

Because Mafia was fun to be a part of. Participating in Silver One is turning out to be very enjoyable as well. But the whole thing has me wanting to get to know all the (pardon the pun) nifty people here and being a part of something like this is a good way to do it in my opinion.

There are a lot of members that I consider to be my friends. However, if I could only name one it would have to be [b]Retribution[/b]. We've become fairly tight over the past year. We share a lot of the same interests and he helps me out a lot when I'm working on something. We haven't chatted in a fair bit but that's not to say we aren't pals.
