Mary and myself spent some time on song searching the other day, and it seems to be our best bet to go with an embedded version of the normal song w/ lyrics. I have a few I intend on playing around with before the deadline, and we should be good to go as far as everything. Everything should be posted rather soon.

EDIT - Posted it up, made some changes before posting the finished product. Like the lyrics of the chous to fit the title Zeke put on the graphic. Also lemme know how you guys like the whole episode recap into current episode's opening :P. Figured we chose a TV show theme for our song, so decided to run a little further with that idea.

Personally I think that what you did was great. ^_^ The added conversation I thought was a nice touch. It's too bad that we didn't win though. This round has been full of surprises that's for sure. Anyway, I sent my vote. :animesigh

Good work team! We tried our hardest, and from what I gather in Sandy's post we were a close second. I've sent in my vote too. All the best if Sandy starts a new challenge because I'm off in the morning.

I think it's pretty obvious who we should all be voting for. :animedepr

Anyway, great job you guys. I was really impressed with how ours came out and while I think we should have won ( :naughty: ) it was nice to give the other teams a turn to taste victory. ;)

I have to admit I thought we were going to walk away with the W there too. Especially after seeing the other songs. Oh well though, as I've said to Mary and Beth already...droppin dead weight is just as essential at this point so voting off a member won't be a total loss. It is too bad though, as I know this particular person is a capable one, just seemingly an apathetic one as well.

Chins up team, next challenge we return to our winning ways. Cause 'thats how we roll.

* * * * *

Well, with the new challenge up I think it's safe to say that we have the advantage big time here. Our entire team is comprised of established role players.

The adaptability and creativity part of this challenge should be rather simple for us, as will any character creation process for the changing themes. Everyone here has been quite active since even before I came over to the team, so the participation rate isn't a huge concern, but I don't know what Sandy's idea of posting actively is. There are going to be some slow spikes due to real life responsibilities for all 4 teams without a doubt. Again though, for the most part it shouldn't be a hugep problem.

The prize is quite interesting as well, if we win we pretty much get to kick someone from the entire game out, toss someone else onto our team and put the remaining 6 onto another. That is if i've understood the prize correctly.

The first theme has been announced, so let's start to think of some suitable character creations we can put into the story. We can think of how our characters should know each other, and how to take advantage of the theme's atmosphere.

Alright, so the plot sounds fairly FF-ish to me. We should look at the sorts of typical characters you'd have an an FF adventure to start with, then dress them up a little to make them suit us.

Leader
Spell Caster (black)/ Spell Caster (white)
Swordsman
Special heroine who had latent abilities
Random bodyguard for heroine

So, we could take these roles on, each of us, and then tie them together real sharp-like here and leak out backstory/connections as we roleplay? It seems as though we're heading off as a group straight away, so it wouldn't be good for us to start off with our characters as strangers.

Of course, I'm just jumping in here to kickstart ideas, so feel free to throw in other things. ^_^
I know that, I'm just saying for basic characters types, the plot is fairly FF-ish. I don't understand what you mean by 'High' fantasy anyway? High levels[/B'] of fantasy?
My dear Jamie, haven't you learned the art of Googling yet? ;D

High Fantasy is basically the epic subgenre of fantasy fiction, the one with all the elves and dwarves and dragons and magics. It's precursor was of course J.R.R. Tolkien, so by following his footsteps you can't go wrong. ;D

So...we should go for more creature species and stuff than classes as Jamie described above?

Oh, btw, I'm back, lol. But my computer isn't working so I still may not be very active.

I'm kinda happy it's a RP but I was hoping of getting out of the writing stuff forthis challenge since it seems there's been nothing but.

I hope we do win this though. That way we'll continue to stay strong together as a team, or I wish for that to happen, depending on how we decide to group.

Meeeh, think about the future at another time. So yup, different species which can also have some properties of the classes above? Stuff like the ones Sandy listed above.

If that makes sense. For example if I create a female character, for now she would have aspects that fit high fantasy. But when the switch happens, I'll still have the same character but the attributes or special abilities would change to match the new theme.

I automatically thought that was what we would be doing. But yeah, kind of like Kingdom Hearts for lack of a better example. With each theme they get attributes for that, otherwise there's just a character we can use for anything.

We should start developing our characters soon so we can get a start on the RP. Are we thinking of using our names for the characters? Or just create one? No reason behind the question, just wondering.

Ssh >_>

Thanks for explaining though, I've learnt something =D

And yes, I think that's a good idea, Beth. It'll make things run a lot easier in the long run and we shouldn't lose track of what we're doing.

Good to see you back, Mary! I'll start working on my character later on.

Certain themes may call for more of a character overhaul then just attributes and abilities and such. Names may need to be changed if the theme is drastically different, such as if we were to RP as robots (just an example >.>) and we were switching from a theme such as High Fantasy. All of the character info will be posted here and kept track of so I don't think it would be a real problem. We could definitly fit in the changing atmospheres around same characters deal for certain themes, and even connect them in subtle ways to kind of chain together things (like how Mary said with KH).

Anyway, for this particular challenge...Sandy brought up as an example of what i was was pretty much thinking of which was going the way of LotR. So I was thinking in addition to there being certain positions in the group, we could vary by race and class as well. Some kind of mix of human, dwarf, elf, halfing, etc etc. Something of that nature.

I myself was thinking of creating an elven ranger type character. Lemme know what you guys think of the theme before we start creating characters. Give any other suggestions you are interested in as well.

Oh! He can be a cripple from a previous war. You can name him Legless! :D

Anyway, I don't really care about race or class or anything of that jazz so just stick me with Dwarf melee character (lots of armor, big two-handed axe or mace) and I'll be happy.

I'll put up a post today, i'm hoping for atleast 2 more profiles to be put up aside from mine before the end of today (when i intend to put my post up) so i can include them atleast.

My Profile:

Name: Adrian Cobalt
Age: 74 (elven years)
Species/Job: Wood Elf / Rogue
Appearence: Adrian (Male elf)
Weapons: Daggers / Crossbow

Personality: Sneaky, clever, charasmatic. Adrian can come off as annoying at times, but is quite valuble for purposes of stealth and persuasion. He also has a greedy nature about him when it comes to treasure, but has travelled with his companions long enough to develop a peace with sharing with them, even if he doesn't always want to.

Notes concerning character relations: To be edited with the addition of profiles.

When posting your profiles feel free to include relationships with other characters in any ways, be sure to be interactive in this aspect and make sure your character fits well with the group! Let's really steal the show with this challenge.

All right, here's mine. ^_~

My Profile:

Name: Sunny Ennien
Age: 30 (human years)
Species/Job: Human (female) / Tracker
Appearence: 5'6, reddish blond hair with green eyes.
Weapons: Twin daggers as well as a light weight sword.

Personality: Kind hearted though a bit ruthless when it comes to battle. She tends to be a bit of a peace maker as it's hard for her take sides since she often can see both sides of an argument.

Notes concerning character relations: Gets along well with her companions though Adrian's greedy nature often gets on her nerves. (will edit with more notes once other profiles are up. )

Name: Halbereth Kiel
Age: Around his mid to late thirties.
Species/Job: Human (male) / Wanderer
Appearence: 6'0'', longish black hair sweat back off his forehead and a scruffy, short beard covering his jaw and chin. His skin is tanned from all the years in the sun, in great constrast to his piercing blue eyes.
Weapons: A simple broadsword, strapped to his back.

Personality: Distant but not cold, Halbereth is a man used to being by himself or very few men, and has not yet developed the kind of personality needed when dealing pleasantly with others. He is quiet, but despite his few words his voice is commanding, strong. He is fiercely loyal to the rag-tag bunch of men and women he is with now, though they may not realise it all the time.

Notes concerning character relations: Later plz

Put the first post up for us. I figured we can go with the theme where each of us find out the same mysterious way of the Phoenix Heart and Morgwyn. Up to you guys how you want to do it. Also for atleast the first post for each theme for us we could post the basics of our character profiles at the top of our posts. So people and Sandy won't have to refer far to keep track of who our characters are. It would help considering there are five of us.

This is a very simple profile for the sake of having something up because I'm seriously running low on ideas.

Name: Dayne
Age: Age is unknown, appears about 22 in Human years
Species/Job: Elf/Druid
Appearance: 5'5", tanned from sun exposure, has shoulder length chestnut hair with bangs that fall into her eyes, the tips of her ears can usually be seen peeking out of her hair, and blue grey eyes. Her clothes consist of a forest green robe with wood brown breeches underneath.
Weapon: Staff

Personality: Usually she's quite calm and gentle, but she becomes vicious and ruthless in the midst of battle. At times she becomes angry, especially if someone annoys her. Whenever she has a strong opinion on something she'll speak her mind. Dayne doesn't know her birthdate or her surname because she was found as a child.

Notes concerning character relations: Gets along with her party members, especially Adrian and she helps to keep him in check.

Well, my post is up. Considering Sandy's twist I thought it would be detrimental to recount Halbereth's account. It would get very boring and repetitive, after all, if Sandy had to read multiple stories of the same thing.

So I launched us straight into the fight. I hope it's okay with everyone, I didn't use anyone elses characters as I thought it would be rude if I got their powers wrong.

=D

I will be making another post before the day's end, in which I will once again try to leave off with ample points to take off from or draw ideas from for future posts. I have also sent out multiple PMs to certain people, and have sent out more today. Any time between a few hours and the next day would be essential.
