[SIZE=1]It really is time to pull our fingers out, everyone.

I know White hasn't even shown his face since this started, so I'm not sure what's happened to him. But we just aren't posting enough (myself insluded, I know). I know real life can be tough, but it takes all of twenty minutes to get a post up in a day. So we should try doing that, everyday, otherwise we're going to lose a challenge that should be our strongest point.

I, for one, am going to be very disgusted with myself if we do badly in this, because our post quality is better than many others in that challenge but that counts for nothing if we aren't getting anything in.[/SIZE]

[FONT=Tahoma]I've heard from Mary in reponse to one of my PMs, she has at the very least alerted me in reference to her difficulty getting a post up. White on the other hand i've heard nothing from, and he has been on OB quite a lot the last few days. Kind of the deal with Mike back when he went MIA.

I've done all I can concerning them, but there isn't much we can do about inactive members. We certainly cannot write up posts for them, and it isn't within our control if they don't even so much as let the rest of the team know about what's going on with them. I doubt very much that even if the three of us were active enough for every theme we would win since White and Mary are part of the team as well, but we could atleast put on a good effort and do it for the fun of it as well.

I agree with Zeke that it seems rather rediculous that we would be doing poorly in this challenge, with all do respect to our opposition as well. But if we were all active then winning this challenge would be a simple task.

In any case, I'll have a profile up for the new theme soon, i'm currently juggling a few things at once.[/FONT]

And though it's obvious that some of the players have more experience when it comes to RPG's I'm fairly certain other factors such as teamwork and whether or not the players are having fun is going to matter as well. Based on what I already said in response to Ezekiel's statement. Lets not make the mistake of underestimating our opponents like we've been doing so far.

[font=tahoma]That definitly goes without saying, as i personally believe the reason The Mercenaries are doing so well is because of the effort they are putting in and how well they have been managing to work together since the script challenge.[/font]

[font=tahoma]Well, by no means am I underestimating the other teams. For one they have a lot more motivation to be kicking up their game then we do because we have been in a winning position for so long. Plus we have been struck with a lot of misfortune with inactivity, clear weak points that can easily be taken advantage of.

I say what I said not in overestimation, but in genuine confidence in each of our talents. Quality, creativity, and teamwork are certainly not weak points we should have to worry about, and it has not been what has been holding us down either. I do believe that if we were in full form that we would be doing excellently.

I didn't mean to sound up myself at all; I guess I was just running on Team Pride. What I mean is that we are a team of seasoned roleplayers. Heck, Sakura and I have been roleplaying here for about...what? Six years between the two of us alone? And BK isn't exactly a new comer either.

I was just pointing out this challenge should be right up our street because it's our turf. Sorry again D:

Anyway, character! Same format as last time? (Except age, I assume it's a given we're teens)

[B]Name:[/B] Ezekiel Connor
[B]Appearance:[/B] Ezekiel is a lanky boy, standing at about 6'1'' emphasised by his slim frame and long, elegant arms. His neck is long and his face slim, with high cheekbones, though despite all this he looks healthy. He has a shock of red, messy hair that just tickles the back of his neck, and a fringe that often annoys him by dangling in front of his round, brown eyes. He is no stranger to lady admirers with his sharp, almost effeminate features, but seems to prefer his small groups of friends to large social groups.

[B]Power:[/B] Ezekiel is a necromancer, and despite the terribly negative connotations that word brings he is proud to state the fact. However, his power doesn't exactly stretch to bringing the dead back to life, more controlling something that has had the life sucked from it. He is limited at his present state to plant life. One touch can kill a flower, but enough concentration can set it growing, rotting, and covering a person in dead, thorny vines.

[B]Personality:[/B] Despite a power than many of the younger, gothic types would adore to possess, Ezekiel is happy and bright, and generally chipper. His American friends describe him as 'quintessentially British', which is just jolly good for him. He is quiet for the most part with those he doesn't know, giving the impression of a person listening but not willing to contribute. He is clever and will take part in lessons, though loathes being part of a debate or larger discussion.

He loves his friends, and the school, dearly and is fiercely loyal to them all.[/SIZE]

[b]Appearence[/b]: 5'9, light and feathery dirty blond hair ending above his ears. An average build with some muscular physique, ice blue eyes and is always wearing his beige leather jacket over a white t-shirt.
[b]Power[/b]: Cody has the ability to dematerialize solid matter with many common mineral and metallic make ups. Through touch, Cody can break down objects such as desks, walls, cars, etc and the effect of which makes it appear as if it turns into sand. After the item's break down, Cody can recompose the remnants into another object using only the same make up of the former item. Which means if he breaks down a sheet of metal, he can recompose them into tiny spears made from the same metal. The size and type of item is limited by the size and type of item that has been dematerialized.
[b]Personality[/b]: An admired student on campus for his athletic skill and cool demeanor, he can be boastful at times but ultimatley keeps a level head on himself, even in sticky situations. He isn't perfect in the academic department, getting mostly high Cs and Bs with the occaisional A here and there, though most of the time it's due to a pre-occupation of some sort. [/size][/center]


Since it's a high school drama type deal, we gotta make sure we play the parts well enough. Some ideas for our character relationships and types (taking into consideration White won't be showing up anytime soon, and Mary may post later into the theme rather then from the start, so it'll be ideas for Beth, Zeke, and myself.)

-You guys could be sisters with totally opposite personalities, one of whom could be Cody's girlfriend while the other sees nothing special in him.
-You could be "rivals in love" kind of like a Sakura/Ino deal from Naruto, with Cody being the object of your affections.
-You could be opposite personalities (quiet outsider girl, popular cheerleader, tomboy athlete, etc) and the 3 of us could be in some kind of club together or group of some sort and be meeting each other or know each other for a while.

One of the first two I think would be better for the drama aspect, but they all fit the high school aspect pretty well. If you have any other ideas then mention em, but we should def try to get an initial post up soon.

I enjoy it but English and grammar has never been my strong point and I can clearly see the difference between what you guys write and what I do. >_< I have good reading comprehension skills, it's a pity it doesn't easily move over into my writing ability!

Anyway, as for the twist...I haven't been in high school in forever! Still it's something one never forgets. lol

[b]Age[/b]: 17 (Senior)

[b]Appearance[/b]: 5'7, with reddish brown hair and green eyes. She's very athletic and has a trim build but tends to hide it in baggy jeans and a similar baggy plain shirt.

[b]Power[/b]: Anna has the ability to control sound. Giving her the ability to hear things far away as well as concentrating it into a type of sonic wave capable of punching holes through steel. The only problem, when she's upset she has a hard time keeping it under control.

[b]Personality[/b]: A tiny bit shy and withdrawn, other than with her friends she has made since coming to the school. Many of the students are afraid of her since when she first came and was targeted by a set of bullies she lost control of her power and nearly killed them.

She's extremely protective and fiercely loyal to those she considers her friends. And though she did well enough at first with her grades, they have since dropped as she's been a bit depressed that once her senior year is over she'll be sent elsewhere if further training is needed.

[FONT=Tahoma]Alright guys, it seems the pace has really slowed down but let's stick with it until the end and show what the team's spirit is made of. It seems we have been given the roles of the human defenders against the factions of alien invaders. There's a bunch of angles we could take on for this, perhaps a military faction or we could even work off of out superhero alter-egos from the previous theme, or even derive our new characters from the super-power concept. The only specification made was that we are human and are defending ourselves, so there's liberties to be taken.

Not that we wouldn't have kick butt skills mind you. :p And even though Aaryanna_Mom is the only one to have posted so far, she's set it up for us to have an epic space battle if we choose. And she's even indicated that one of us contacted them and told them to shove off if you will. And her character made it clear they aren't going anywhere.

We could go from there, have an epic battle in space or make it a dramatic invasion where we battle on the ground. Either one sounds like it will be fun if you ask me. Clobbering those damn aliens who think they can take over! :p I don't have time right now but I'll be back online later tonight. Since I say we get this show on the road!

I must say, though, I've never been this excited about a merge before. I think the Survivor fever has just got a hold of me recently since the finale/reunion of Survivor: Fiji is tonight (come on, Yau-Man!).

As well as running out of ideas. ^_~
